FEBRUARY EMPTIES

~ February Empties! ~

Well wasn't that a short month?! I can't believe February is already over. I had forgotten
there was only 28 days this month! I had a questionable looking freakle removed from my
stomach on Friday, so needless to say I am more than happy to let this month go and move on!

I feel like I got through a lot of products this month. Probably more than I ever have,
so I am exciting to bin all of this stuff and start fresh for March and maybe pick up a few
newbies to reward my efforts. Cos that's just what I need.... more stuff!
It's a vicious cycle and a hard core addiction. No, I don't need help.
Much...

Full Size!

Garnier Anti-Ageing Brightening Toner
I have always had good experiences with Garnier products and I loved this one too.
Tightened my pores and removed excess makeup like a pro!

Garnier Fructis Anti-Frizz Smoothing Serum
This reminds me of my L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil as the formula is the same and they
both work brillantly. This is just a slightly more affordable option. I recommend it.
Review! (Buy!)

Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo
I liked this, as always it makes my hair feel nice and soft, smooth and moisturised.
I prefer a prettier packaged and more interesting smelling product when it comes
to shampoo though.
Review! (Buy!)

Pantene Pro-V All Day Smooth Light Weight Creme
This product detangles your hair. I didn't really need it, but it was light weight
and made my hair smell nice inbetween washes. (Buy!)

Pure Zone Foot Therapy Exfoliating Foot Scrub
This had a nice and light Tea Tree and Eucalyptus scent to it which was refreshing.
However the 'scrub' was pretty much non exsistent and didn't do a whole lot of scrubbing.

Vaseline Intensive Care Hand & Nail Lotion
My nails tend to split and get quite soft it I don't use some kind of nail hardening
product. This made them much stronger and my skin felt nourished when I used this.

Dove Nourishing Oil Care Nutri-Oil Serum
Much the same as the Garnier Fructis & L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil, this hair serum
combats frizz and makes hair appear shiny and sleek without weighing it down or making
it greasy. Really enjoyed this one as well. (Buy!)

Nailene Clear Top Coat
This was a great clear top coat. Nothing negative to say. Did the job so I would
happily re-purchase. (Buy!)

NP Set Black Mascara
Handy, easy to use mascara. A nice dark black shade with a fuss free wand which
coated my lashes with easy without clumping or drying out. Have used this to death! (Buy!)

Mitchum Pure Fresh Clinical Deodorant
Brilliant deodorant! This reminds me of my all time fav, the Rexona Clinical.
Both give 48hr protection and actually live up to their claims. Worth the exxey price tag!
Review! (Buy!)

Sample Tubes/Bottles!

Goldwell Kerasilk Shampoo & Conditioner
I often get bored using the same shampoo & conditioner every single time I wash my hair,
so I tend to use something different for each wash. This was a nice change and happy to get
rid of a few more sample bottles. This was nice and I would happily purchase full size.

Joico K-Pak Revitaluxe Treatment
Very luxe to use and I really did notice a difference in my hair straight away after
blow drying. A real hair treat! (Buy!)

Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Conditioner
I enjoyed using this along with the shampoo bottle, however I am looking forward to moving
on to another brand for a while.
Review! (Buy!)

Pantene Pro-V Aqua Light Conditioner
Nice, would purchase full size once I run out of the 123,758493 other bottles
of conditioner I currently own. Sheesh! (Buy!)

Nivea Men Clear Effect Gel Moisturiser
Stole this one off hubby who wasn't into using it. The scent was really strong
and manly, but I didn't mind it and the gel texture was fun. It did make my skin
feel a little tight afterwards so I found myself applying a facial moisturiser over the top.

MOR Body Butter in 'Lychee Flower'
Super stong scent, but oh so gorgeous! Beautiful body butter. Want MOR!
(Buy!)

Sample Sachets!

WEN Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner
This was my first time using any kind of product from WEN. I received this in a recent
Bellabox and was looking forward to trying it as I've heard rave reviews about it and it is
quite expensive to buy full size. However I couldn't really get into it. It didn't lather which I
perfer when washing my hair. I'm just not into shampoo & conditioners combined.

Ayana Organics Baby Butter
This was a nice and very thick cream. Smelt lovely too.

Maybelline Better Skin Foundation
Already had this full size, but received this in a previous Bellabox.
Love it and use it regularly!
Review! (Buy!)

Natio Renew Line & Wrinkle Day Cream SPF 15
Loved this! I'm not sure how much it did for my lines and wrinkles as it is hard to tell
with a small sachet, however it smelt divine and I enjoyed using it. (Buy!)

Avon Advance Techniques Moroccan Argan Oil
Felt oily in my hands but didn't make my hair oily. I liked this and is the same
as any other hair oil already mentioned in this empties post.

Avon Advance Techniques Daily Shine Conditioner
Had to use this with more conditioner from another bottle as the sachet just didn't
contain enough for one hair wash. But seemed nice enough.

Avon ANEW Vitale Night Cream
I love using night creams, so this was a nice different one to try for a little
change. Would have to use long term to see results though.

Sanctum Hydrating Gel Mask
Use many facial masks this month. Or so it felt! I have been getting into the habit
of lathering one on and then bathing the kids whilst it sits there and dries.
I received this in one of my Beauty Native Boxes which I highly recommend
checking out for some more lovely products like this!

Eslor Firming Collagen Day Cream
Received a few of these samples in one of my Violet Boxes and am really
enjoying the brand.

Eslor Chlorophyll Lifting Mask
Another nice mask which made me feel nice and pampered.
My skin felt so smooth and fresh after this one!

Eslor Botanical Peeling Gel
This gel is actually an exfoliant which I found quite interesting.
I don't think I've ever used a gel the same as this one. An interesting product.
Again, hard to tell how beneficial it was though with just one sample.

Sukin Purifying Facial Masque
This one was probably my favourite. Sukin is one of my all time fav skin care
brands to date and their masques are worth a try!
Review! (Buy!)

Zk'in Certified Organic Line Smoothing Serum
I have been hearing a lot about this brand lately and was happy to receive a few samples
in my recent Bellabox. This serum was really nice and I am looking forward to using the
second one up!

May Favourites 2014!

~ May Favourites 2014! ~

Clearasil Vitamins & Extracts Daily Face Scrub!
Such a refreshing only slightly fruity scent to wake up to in the morning.
Contains soothing avocado and fruity pomegranate which smells
totally delish and done an amazing job to exfoliate away all those
icky dead skin cells. More abrasive than most scrubs, but I love that
as it feels like it's really getting in there and doing its job.
Read my mini review post here!

Arbonne Lipstick in Candy Friandise
I don't think I've reached for any other lipstick this month.
The colour is just so wearable for all occasions any time of the day.
It is so moisturizing I don't even need to add a balm or gloss.
See the makeup look I created, swatch & full review here!

Mitchum Clinical Protection 48hr Deodorant in Pure Fresh
Not only does this deodorant actually work for the full 48 hours,
this particular scent it so so nice! I think it must be the Aloe listed
in the ingredients as I can't pin point exactly what I am smelling.
But it's gorgeous and not at all overpowering like a lot Of
deodorants can be.
Read my full review of the range here!

Watch my video review of the new range below!

Face Of Australia Liquid Eyeliner in Black
I purchased this with my points in the last Beautorium
because my Master Precise Liquid Liner by Maybelline was drying up.
I prefer liquid liners over pencil or gel and this one has a nice thin
brush which makes it easier to create your desired line or wing effect.
Want to see what else I purchased during the last Beautorium?

Colgate Maximum Cavity Protection Toothpaste in Clean Mint
Not much more I can say but perfect!
Affordable, refreshing taste, does the job.
Loving it!

I Heart Fall Tag!

1.
What's your favourite Autumn lipstick?
There are so many fantastic shades to choose from,
even in my collection I couldn't narrow it down to only one.
So here are my top 7! :)

Left to right

Mirenesse Lip Bomb
Napoleon Perdis DeVine Goddess in Selene
L'Oréal Paris Infaillabel in Violet Parfait
Revlon Lip Butter in Brown Sugar
Rimmel Apocolips in Stargazer
Shiseido in Perfect Rouge
L'Oréal Paris Infaillabel in Framboise

2.
What's your favourite Autumn trend?
I love boots with different style socks and leggings paired with an oversized jumper or warm top.
It looks so chic, yet is so comfortable and effortless and looks great on everyone!

3.
What's your favourite Autumn candle?
I don't like to burn candles often just because it isn't safe with little ones running around.
So I don't own many. I do love fresh, rainforest,
tropical scented ones though for the wet season.

4.
Do you have any Autumn traditions?
I don't think so.... no.

5.
What's your favourite thing about Autumn?
Here in Australia, I really welcome the cooler weather after the usual scorching Summer!

6.
What's your favourite clothing item for Autumn?
Whatever is going to keep me warm, looking good comes second! Well most of the time, it depends how cold it is!

7.
Favourite Autumn nail polish?

When it comes to cosmetics and makeup,
I obviously can't make up my mind, so here are my top 7!
Left to right

OPI in Just Spotted The Lizard
Butter London in Yummy Mummy
BYS in Euphoria
Revlon Dark Pleasures in Lustre Bistre
Sally Hansen Magnetic in Kinetic Copper
Sally Hansen in Midnight in NY
OPI in The Living Daylights

8.
Favourite Autumn beverage?
I will drink this all year round, but as it starts to get a bit chilly,
I can't go past a nice, hot, white, chocolate
mocha with loads of foam! YUM! :)

9.
Favourite Autumn snack?

Bring on the hot chicken, noodle, veggie, pumpkin and tomato soaps!
I love mine with toasty bread and loads of butter.
So good!

10.
Which celebrity inspires you most in Autumn?

In terms of fashion and style?
I would have to go to Miranda Kerr or inspiration.
She always pulls off the most amazing outfits that don't look
completely out of reach to the average girl.

I tag everyone & let me know so I can check out your tag post too! :)

The Beauty Scenario Tag!

1. You have to get rid of all your foundations and you can only keep one high end and one drugstore, which do you keep?
If you've snooped around my makeup collection blog post or video, you'd know that believe it or not I don't actually own any high end foundations! I've just accumulated a bunch of drugstore brands that I feel work well enough for me, that I haven't felt the need to purchase an over priced one as yet, there are quite a few I'd like to try though, all in good time. :) So to answer this question, the one drugstore brand I would have to keep would be my Maybelline 24hr Super Stay Foundation which I've just about used up!

2. You go for an interview and the lady interviewing you has lipstick on her teeth. Do you approach the subject or ignore it completely?
I've had to think about how I would feel in the same situation. I don't think I'd want to be told, but rather find out afterwards, I think that would be less embarrassing. If it were a friend I'd tell them, but a stranger especially one interviewing me for a job would just be awkward and I'd rather focus on the task at hand, and that would be nailing that interview rather than straying from the critical topics we might be talking about.

3. You're not feeling yourself and need a pick me up. Which lipstick do you put on to make yourself feel beautiful?
I am in love with pretty much all of my lippies at the moment. Ever since I organized them, I am just so happy to open my draw and see them all sitting there waiting for their turn to be worn that day.... I am loving a hot pink or magenta shade at the moment, so I would probably grab for either my Australis Velour Matte Lip Cream in Ma-Li-Boo or my Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Sweetheart/Valentine.

4. You go back in time for a day to your teenage years, how would you do your hair and makeup differently?
Oh wow, do I really have to go back there?! I wish I'd known what a hair straightener was for a start! I feel like with my crazy, long, frizzy hair this really could've made so much difference! As far as makeup I wasn't allowed to wear it to school, although there were days.... gah! Let's not go there! Let's just say I wish I'd known then what I do now!

5. You ask your hairdresser for a shoulder length Pixie Lott hair cut, but they hear wrong and give you a pixi cut. Do you a) Smile, say thank you, leave and call your mum hysterical b) Cry in the chair and things get awkward or c) Complain to the manager and demand a refund.
This is a tough question because that is a haircut I would never get myself. But if I were in that kind of situation I would hope to be switched on enough during the whole process to say something whilst my hair is being cut if I see something that I don't think looks like what I'd asked for. I have had a really bad experience with a hair dresser once and not having the balls I have now, I just paid and left unhappy. Now a days I would complain and demand they fix it or I would not pay!

6. Your friend surprises you with a 4 day city break and you have 1 hour to pack. Which 'do it all' palette do you pack in your makeup bag?
Wow, wouldn't that be fun!? :) At the moment I am just keeping it pretty natural so I would just pack my Napoleon Perdis Jet Set Palette. It's amazing!

7. Your house has been robbed, don't worry everyone is safe, but your beauty stash has been raided. What's the product you really hope is safe?
Apart from everything?! 0_O I would hope my precious OPI nail polish collection were all still there. I've worked hard to collect what I have and I love every single one of them, although I feel like there are a few missing from this picture as my little miss likes to hide them on me, hence another reason I need one of those hanging nail polish racks!

8. Your friend borrows your makeup and returns it in awful condition. Do you a) Just pretend you haven't noticed b) Ask them to repurchase it or c) Secretly do the same to something of theirs.
I would probably asked good naturedly what happened to it, but I wouldn't be mad at a friend over makeup. My friendships mean much more to me than that.

March 2014 Favourites!

Clean & Clear Morning Burst Facial Scrub
-
This stuff smells amazingly, beautifully refreshing first thing in the morning!
I can't get enough of the citrus scent. It's so, so nice. The formula is a grainy, golden, shimmery yellow which gently exfoliates your skin with caffeine, lemon and papaya.
Has been keeping my skin completely clear and feeling soft, smooth and clean.

MOR Sugar Rose Tiger Lily Salt & Sugar Body Scrub
-
There is nothing I love more than a good all over body scrub either in the shower or bath. It makes me feel super clean and refreshed. I feel like my skin easily builds up dead skin cells, so I like to exfoliate almost every night. I have only just started to use this, but already it is a firm favourite.  I LOVE MOR products, they are always so beautiful, almost too good to use. The magenta colour of this tub is adorable and the gold label makes it appear royal. :) I'm sure I don't need to tell you how amazing the scent is. It is like a huge bunch if perfume scented flowers. Loveeeee!  ♡

Rimmel London Apocolips Lip Lacquer in Stellar
-
As you can see, this is the moist amazing, bright, moist shade. I love wearing this everyday or night if on the rare occasion I get to go out. It just brightens up my whole face, makes me look more human, less tired and alive!

Napoleon Perdis DeVine Goddess Lipstick in Serene
-
First off, I love the packaging of this. It's so different and I love how it is clear and acrylic.  The shade is something totally wild, daring and on trend as purple lips are very hot right now.  I feel like this shade really suits my dark eyes and dark hair too.

Bondi Sands Summer Bronze Instant Tan
Light/Medium
-
I was lucky enough to win a whole collection of Bondi Sands goodies not long ago and have been having a lot of fun playing with and trying them out this past month.
I'm loving this product in particular because it is a wash off formula. Meaning at the end of the day I can just wash off the tan in the shower and start fresh the following day. It dries quickly and isn't messy. It doesn't streak and applied evenly and looks so natural. I'm really impressed!

MAC Mineralize Concealer in NW20
-
I am a big lover of MAC. I think their products are top notch, but sadly as they're so over priced here in Australia,  I only own a precious few of their products.
This is one of those products. I was actually very fortunate to receive this in my Blogstar prize pack.  It is a product I had wanted for ages and it is the perfect shade for my skin thankfully. It does a flawless job at concealing any dark circles and aids in contouring to a T. I would love to eventually splurge on the matching foundation and powder. I've heard mixed reviews about them, but would love to try them out for myself.

Max Factor Eyeshadow in Auburn Envy
-
This was included in one of my recent posts about what I keep in my makeup bag.
I use this pretty much daily as the shade is so perfect for everyday wear and can also be build up for a more dramatic night look. It doesn't crease and is such a stunning colour.

OPI Nail Polish in Mod About You
-
This is my 'Go To' nail polish. The colour is so classic and classy.
I adore it. It girlie,  yet subtle and works well when doing a at home french mani or pedi and dries quickly too.

Pantene Pro-V Ice Shine Daily Rinse Off Treatment
-
I trialed and reviewed this as part of Beautyheaven's trial team this past month and I have to say, it has made a noticeable difference to my hairs appearance and texture.

What were your beauty favs for March?
