I have not had a new pair of sunnies in yeeeears! Not since around the time of my wedding actually
which was seven years ago! You can check them out in a haul video I filmed back then if you're
interested! :)

So when I had the opportunity to choose and review a brand spanking new pair for you all, I just
couldn't say no! I mean just LOOK at these babies, that blue is gorgeous! Ah I am in love!


Optically offer such an extensive range of both sunglasses, prescription sunglasses and regular

Here are a few of the ones which stood out to me from their sunglasses range which you can choose
to order with or without your current glasses prescription. I don't wear glasses at all except sunnies,
so that is why I chose the pair I did. How much fun are all these bright colours?

tried on which I think are pretty cool too. But seriously, these four pairs are just the tip of the ice

This uni-sex pair I chose retails for a low $49 and is called the Xebec in a beautiful sky blue with
gunmetal frame. I love the shape of these and they frame and suit my face so well. I have been
wearing them every day in the car to and from work and to and from school pick ups and drop offs.


This pair was delivered to my house packaged in a hard protective case complete with it's own micro
fibre cloth and also bubble wrapped to ensure the glasses arrived in perfect condition.

Who doesn't just love and adore a little bit of bling? Even when it comes down to just your every day
outfit to then dressing it up for glam night out. For me at least a little bit of sparkle goes a long way to

I have always been a silver girl at heart. Growing up a lot of my friends and family seemed to be all

video clip. I think she may have had about eight or so and she looked so beautiful and innocent. I
love that kind of girl next door, timeless class which is why I was so drawn to these gorgeous
beauties of cubic zirconia claw set in sterling silver.

Surrounded by sixteen smaller stones these large gems are uniquely designed with such a pretty

really love.

I have been settling quite nicely into my new home over the past two months. The unpacking,
and sorting is done and navigating my way around a new town is finally beginning to become
familiar and really feel like home. Prior to moving however, was a whole lot more chaotic and
I had a LOT of de-cluttering to do! I moved around many times as a child and didn't really have a
lot of things back then. Fast forward to adulthood, a husband and two children later and living in a
place the longest I have ever settled down anywhere for a period of seven years and a lot of stuff
accumulates very sneakily and you don't realise just how much useless 'stuff' you have until you are
forced to go through every single things as you pack.

In saying all of that, I chucked, donated, gave away and sold what feels like close to about half of all
my possessions and that included half my wardrobe! Boy did that feel good! I'll admit it was daunting
at first and I didn't really know where to begin. I ended up going through my clothes about five or six
times over a period of a few weeks, getting rid of more and more each time, each time getting easier
to let go of things and seeing the brighter side!

Included in the de-clutter were a few of my old PJ's which I'd owned for far longer than I care to
admit! Now down to only a few comfy pairs for winter and summer. I now have come to own
my absolute favourite pair which are quite conveniently suitable for wear all year round!

Homebodii Vivian Long PJ Set - $89.00

Let's have a look at these super comfy and very pretty two piece set from Hombodii. Homebodii are
an Australian fashion label from the Gold Coast. You can also find this label in stores such
as Anthropology, The Iconic, White Runway and Revolve Clothing both in store and online.

My pick from this incredibly stunning range is called the Vivian Long from their latest 'Sleep Pretty'
collection. This floral set is made from a soft stretchy fabric which is breathable and keeps my body
 cool throughout the night. It features a button up front on the long sleeve shirt with a handy pocket
on each side. The pants are a little long on my 168cm tall frame, however sits comfortably around my waist with a gentle draw string elastic.


If you are interested in purchasing these pretty PJ's from Homebodii, be sure to take note of their
size chart as this particular set is quite a generous XS. I am generally a size 8, being smaller at the
top and slightly larger on the bottom. This XS is still very roomy and a bit long on both the arms and
legs. Not a huge deal to me, but just an FYI.

TALA RAASSI

I feel like I am naturally conservative and casual when it comes to my fashion style these days. As a
stay at home mum, much of my days are spent either at home, the in laws house or at the supermarket
oh how exciting my life has become! I do absolute love being a mum, don't get me wrong and getting
dressed up and playing with fashion trends and makeup is definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. Gone
are the days pre-motherhood when my husband and I would regularly go out most nights and go on
various adventures where there were plenty of opportunities to wear more formal and fun
(and sometimes uncomfortable) clothing! Don't feel sorry for me yet. I am just grateful to be able to
wear what I like everyday and not be conformed to try to make a uniform to look good on me! I feel
for those people. I used to be one of them, for many years!

In saying all of that, I have always had a passion for fashion and design, often drawing up sketches
during math class at school. Doodles of my art often replaced any actual work I was meant to be
doing. I think I may still have some stashed away somewhere, so I will see if I can dig one up and
place it below...


It is no wonder I am useless when it comes to math, I am sure my teacher must have hated me...

Getting on with telling you about his absolute eye opening and inspiring read by Tala Raassi. This
novel is so good, even if you're not into fashion I would recommend picking it up and giving it a
chance. Yes, it is a story about fashion, freedom, women and so much more! This is the kind of
novel I love to read because it is real, teaches me so many things about the world we live in and
encourages me to aim higher, believe stronger and keep on persisting my goals.

In short - This is a true story, Tala's story. She grew up in Iran where the world as we know it here in
Australia is so very different! At just 16 years old she wore a mini shirt. What's the big deal right?
Wrong! In Iran this is considered breaking the law for women and she was sentenced to 5 days in jail
which included a whopping 40 lashes! Like seriously, WTF? This in my mind is completely crazy
and OTT on behalf of the Iran religious police! Absolutely ludicrous in my mind when there are soo
many more important issues and other serious crimes which should be attended to and save the cells
for the murderers and rapists, not a young innocent women simply expressing her love of fashion!

I am so happy for Tala for being brave and moving to the US after her ordeal to not only escape the
chains of her country but to then become incredibly successful in pursuing her passion and creativity
eventually creating her label "Dar Be Dar" which was even the sponsor of the Miss Universe pageant
in the Swimwear category back in 2010!

Tala's swimwear designs are for every women to feel comfortable and proud in her own skin.
She has collections of both one and two piece sets which consist of a rainbow of trendy colours,
patterns, cut outs, frills and features.

If you're on the market for a statement option for the up coming Summer months then you are sure
to find something to love from her designs. Her prices are also very affordable with each piece RRP
around the $100 mark which is very conservative for designer swimwear!
