RIMMEL LONDON EYES

RIMMEL LONDON
ALL ABOUT THE EYES!

Who doesn't just love new makeup? With so many brands releasing so many new products all of the
time it can become overwhelming and difficult to keep up and decide what the purchase and what to
give a miss.

Luckily there are plenty of bloggers and vloggers like myself all over the world wide web to at least
give you our honest opinions and demos so you can decide for yourself what you think before you
even see them in the shops!

This time around I have four newbies from Rimmel London. One unique mascara and three liquid
eye liners. It's all about the eyes, the windows to the soul today! :)

First up is this Volume Colourist mascara which claims to tint and darken your lashes over time. So
each time you wear it the clever little formulation which sits on your lashes is working it's way into
them making them darker and darker the more you wear it. In a way this is kind of a negative for this
product as if everyone who tries it ends up loving it will no longer need it in the end and will not need
to re-purchase... interesting!

As you can see from my eye images below, my eyelashes as I have mentioned many times before are
nothing to brag about. They aren't all that light in colour, but there aren't really a lot of them and they
are not very long. Boo to my DNA! :( However this mascara does lengthen them a bit, not as much as
some others I have in rotation, but this mascara is all about the volume and tinting!

I'll let you be the judge. Here is my take on it. I can see the formula is quite thick and has in turn
fattened up them up giving them volume. However it appears from this close up that it does clump
a little bit and make my lashes stick to each other rather than separating. This picture was taken
before combing them out, so I feel like they appeared a bit better after doing so.

In terms of tinting my lashes, I have been using this mascara for over a month and I am pretty sure I
can see a slight colour change, however it isn't obvious and I still just prefer the look mascara gives in
general and I think I am just going to keep on wearing them, this one included until it runs dry.

Onto some new favourites! These new Colour Precise liquid eyeliners come in the three shades you
see below. Black, white and blue! I wear black liquid eyeliner all the time as my go-to fav I am
always reaching for it and I am loving this newbie! The colour is deep and intense, but what makes
me the most excited is the super fine tip. Just like a fine tip texta, this design makes it SO easy to
draw a super thin line giving you complete control to then build upon it as thick as you like. The tip
won't stab you and is in no way hard or scratchy. It's actually quite soft yet still firm enough so it isn't
flimsy when you use it.

The bold blue shade is just beautiful and incredibly pigmented! It gives an amazing pop of colour on
more daring days or special occasions. I just love how it draws attention to the eyes and brightens up
and seems to give life to my otherwise sometimes dull looking boring brown eyes.

When it came to using the white, I was a bit lost as to where and how to use it. I mean I have a white
pencil liner which I use every now and again along my bottom lash line for that wide eyed doll effect.
However the liquid formula is a whole other ball game!

After some browsing around the web it seemed to me this would be a great product for makeup
artists to have in their kit for those cut crease and fancy runway looks they so cleverly create. I on
the other hand am no makeup artist, I am very amateur when it comes to makeup artistry no matter
how much knowledge I have about the actual products, which I seem to know a lot about.
(Because I am makeup obsessed, obviously!)

So as you can see below, I ended up using the white along the top of the blue, which actually turned
out looking quite striking in real life. Does it look that way here? It's hard to tell. I like it anyway.
It did not however work on my bottom lash line, like how I usually use my white eye pencil, but
I may just have been doing it wrong.

The black on the right is a sure fire winner. An old classic look which I always go for and never fails
me. Loving these pens! I have been using them for probably about a month and none of them are
showing any signs of drying out yet which is awesome!! In the past I have found this style of liquid
eyeliner to not last very long, so I am very happy thus far. :)

These and all Rimmel London products can be found in Priceline, Coles, Woolies, Big W, Target
and Chemist Warehouse.

BABYLISS

BABYLISS PARIS
Home Light Connected IPL

Hair hair everywhere and the only place I really want it growing is on my head! So seriously it's
about time I cottoned onto the IPL band wagon and got my body sorted! HA-LA-LOO-YA!

Growing up I hit puberty pretty early on compared to my friends. EVERYTHING changed when I
hit my 11th birthday. Boobs, butt, acne and yep hair in aaaalll the places!

Needless to say I have been there and done that with all the different hair removal methods out
there. From shaving, hot waxing, cold waxing, wax strips, re-usable wax, hair removal creams,
epilators, tweezers... the list goes on! However for some reason I have never really considered trying
IPL. I guess mainly due to the fact that a single treatment can cost upwards of $800 or more and you
have to keep going back again and again, each time draining your bank account completely.

However, now that the gods have invented an at home IPL treatment you can DIY, I am so there
and the results have been so good I cannot wait to share my experience with you, so here we go!

Firstly, let's take a look over this nifty little device which is surprisingly quite light when you think
about how much work it does! In your kit you will find everything you need to get you started on
your journey to smooth hair free skin where ever you want on your body. The BaByliss Home Light
Connected can be used ANYWHERE on your body! From your legs, under arms, on your arms,
bikini and your full on brazilian area to your face, eyebrows, upper lip, cheeks, chin, etc!

Left to Right - Detailed (and very helpful & handy!) instruction booklet, Power cord,
Protection googles and red laser cover which goes on the end of the Babyliss where the intensely
strong light comes out!

Over the past six months I have been logging and keeping track of my hair removal sessions each
fortnight with the convenient and easy to use Babyliss IPL phone app! The app is designed to help
guide you through the whole process and will also remind you when you're due for your next session!
So handy for me or I'd surely forget!

The IPL has set settings 1-5 with one being the most gentle and recommended to begin with or if you
have sensitive skin or fine hair. Then as you go higher, as you would expect the pulse becomes more
intense and slightly painful, however don't get scared just yet, I promise you it isn't anywhere near the
pain you might be thinking. I would say I have about medium to course hair and I predominately
stuck on the 3-4 pulse setting (after beginning on the recommended first setting and not feeling
anything at all I quickly stepped it up a notch or two!) and it doesn't feel much more then a quick
annoying horse fly bite over and over again. In my opinion this is honestly less painful than using an
epilator or waxing.

Wearing the protective googles might look a bit funny, kinda like a super fly, however are 100%
essential to your safety as the IPL light is dangerously bright for the naked eye. Even with my eyes
closed I could clearly see the flashes through my eyelids! Not even kidding! Safety first. :)

As you can see after the first few sessions I look this picture to show the patches of bare skin on
my legs where the hair has already seemingly stopped growing! I couldn't believe the quick results
and quickly realised my poor technique in using the machine and not getting all the areas.

Practice makes perfect and after a few more sessions I got the hang of it and am noticibly seeing less
and less hair on not only my legs, but also under my arms, bikini line and even my big toe! (Yep hair
grows there too I'll admit it!) >_<

The first 4 treatments are conducted every fortnight with the time varying from 1-10 minutes
depending on the area of the body. After that it's recommended to keep up the treatments every
4 to 8 weeks until all the hair is gone.

Most of my hair has stopped growing now, however I do still see the odd stray every now and then
from places where I have missed and when I get time I get this nifty little device out again late at
night once the kids are all in bed and I zap away at them as I watch TV or catch up on watching
Youtube videos and emails.

So if you've ever thought about IPL but haven't had or wanted to spend that crazy amount of money
it costs to go to a salon for session after session, then I would highly, HIGHLY recommend going
and picking up your own at home private DIY IPL machine like this very affordable, easy to use
and top quality one by BaByliss. You will not regret it! The results for me have been HUGE and
such a worth while investment.

BaByliss currently have a 120 day trial offer, so if you're not 100% with the device you can get your
money back. (T's & C's apply!) It also comes with a 2 year warranty.

The BaByliss IPL is currently available to purchase right now here in Australia from
The Shaver Shop, Target, David Jones and Myer for RRP $750!

Also check out the BaByliss IPL just for men here!

Have you ever tried the IPL hair removal method?
I would LOVE to hear about your experiences in the comments below!

GARNIER

~  GARNIER  ~
Micellar Water Review!

Watch my Garnier Olia hair colouring reviews! - Part One & Part Two!
GARNIER Pure Active Micellar Water for acne prone skin types!
Also available in Combination & Sensitive Skin / Sensitive Skin / Combination Oily & Sensitive
Skin - RRP $13.95 each available now at Priceline

( On SALE right now at Priceline for only $8.99! )

I am new to using Micellar Cleansers, having only just jumped onto this band wagon, I am so happy I did because boy have I been missing out! Garnier was one of the very first skincare brands I ever tried in my early teens and I have been using their products ever since.  I have acne prone skin so keeping it clean and clear is a top priority to me.

I have enjoyed using this as both a makeup removing cleanser and toner as it does everything all at once! It removes all of my makeup easily and without me having to rub and rub at my skin, especially around the delicate eye area. My skin feels smooth and clean after each use and it seems to rid my skin of feeling oily which is oh so NICE!

This product has such a short ingredient list (The first being water!) and feels so gentle on my skin
whilst still working hard and the results being extremely effective! I love the convenience of just using a cotton ball or pad with this product and I can get on with my day/night. No mess and so quick to get the job done!

The secure snap close lid opens to reveal a small hole to dispense the liquid. This limits over use or spillages! It claims to have up to 200 uses, however is to be used within 6 months of opening. So it would have to be used at least twice daily in order to use it all up within the time frame.  So a very generous 400ml bottle at a very fair price in my opinion!

Overall very impressed and happy with the product and will continue to use it up and most likely will purchase in the future. :)

Do you use a Micellar Water in your daily skincare routine?

So let's now delve into what's hot in the USA West Coast Box!

Milani Baked Blush in Corallina
This is the first ever Milani product that I now own and omg it is so beautiful! The terracotta textured
appearance is simply stunning! This is a magnificently flawless shimmery highlighter I know I am
going to be wearing to the death!

Fig & Yarrow Complexion Water in Yarrow, Immortelle & Rockrose
This product is great for the skin and can be used as a mixer with the Clay Mask (see below).
This is a great little facial toner in a easy to use mess free pump and travel sized. It doesn't contain
any harsh ingredients so it can also be used as a hydrating, toning and refreshing facial mist. (I am
loving facial mists right now for my tried face throughout the day!)

Ingredients include - Water, essentials oils including; Immortelle, Rockrose & Yarrow.

Fig & Yarrow Clay Mask Black
This mask is also available in white, red and green variations, however I am happy to have received
the black for my acne prone more oily kind of skin.

I have already used this a couple of times. Once just mixing through water and the other two with the
Fig & Yarrow complexion water (see above). Both worked really well actually. I really loved the
complete clean and soft feeling after each mask. Especially though with the complexion water, it
just seemed to tone and tighten my skin that little bit more as well as really getting in and clearing
out every speck of dirt and excess oil from my pores.

Reverie Milk Anti-Frizz Leave In Nourishing Treatment
If you follow my on Instagram or watch my Youtube videos then you would have noticed my hair
getting lighter and lighter. This means lack of moisture and damage done to my hair, which goes
without saying really that I have been putting anything and everything I can get my hands on into it to
try to restore back in the moisture and repair the damage that bleaching can unfortunately do.

This product really is an anti-frizz miracle! The fly aways which I am working hard on no getting any
more by being extra careful with tight hair ties and gentle brushing. Just a few sprays and this tames
those hairs right back into place. My hair feels much smoother and soft when I use this as well.

Marula Foaming Cleansing Oil
Since I have been using the cleansing oil from last month's box, I was intrigued to find another
cleansing oil in this box to try! Cleansing oils are ultra hydrating and are great for anti-ageing as
hydrated skin as opposed to dry skin is less likely to develop wrinkles and who wants those?!
Not me!

This product is doing quite well at giving my skin that lovely youthful plump and brightening effect.
Whilst is also cleanses away all of my makeup from the day as well as any excess oil and dirt. I
barely even need to follow up with a moisturiser after using this!

Earth's Nectar Mint Leaves Scalp Oil
My scalp has no problem producing oil so I am unsure weather I will use this honestly. It does smell
lovely though! My ends do get quite dry, so I wonder if using this on them will do any good?

My husband however does get a dry scalp so I will see if I can get him to try it! :)
The packaging is nice and manly in appearance so it just might work!

Which product takes your fancy?
