FEBRUARY EMPTIES

~ February Empties! ~

Well wasn't that a short month?! I can't believe February is already over. I had forgotten
there was only 28 days this month! I had a questionable looking freakle removed from my
stomach on Friday, so needless to say I am more than happy to let this month go and move on!

I feel like I got through a lot of products this month. Probably more than I ever have,
so I am exciting to bin all of this stuff and start fresh for March and maybe pick up a few
newbies to reward my efforts. Cos that's just what I need.... more stuff!
It's a vicious cycle and a hard core addiction. No, I don't need help.
Much...

Full Size!

Garnier Anti-Ageing Brightening Toner
I have always had good experiences with Garnier products and I loved this one too.
Tightened my pores and removed excess makeup like a pro!

Garnier Fructis Anti-Frizz Smoothing Serum
This reminds me of my L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil as the formula is the same and they
both work brillantly. This is just a slightly more affordable option. I recommend it.
Review! (Buy!)

Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo
I liked this, as always it makes my hair feel nice and soft, smooth and moisturised.
I prefer a prettier packaged and more interesting smelling product when it comes
to shampoo though.
Review! (Buy!)

Pantene Pro-V All Day Smooth Light Weight Creme
This product detangles your hair. I didn't really need it, but it was light weight
and made my hair smell nice inbetween washes. (Buy!)

Pure Zone Foot Therapy Exfoliating Foot Scrub
This had a nice and light Tea Tree and Eucalyptus scent to it which was refreshing.
However the 'scrub' was pretty much non exsistent and didn't do a whole lot of scrubbing.

Vaseline Intensive Care Hand & Nail Lotion
My nails tend to split and get quite soft it I don't use some kind of nail hardening
product. This made them much stronger and my skin felt nourished when I used this.

Dove Nourishing Oil Care Nutri-Oil Serum
Much the same as the Garnier Fructis & L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil, this hair serum
combats frizz and makes hair appear shiny and sleek without weighing it down or making
it greasy. Really enjoyed this one as well. (Buy!)

Nailene Clear Top Coat
This was a great clear top coat. Nothing negative to say. Did the job so I would
happily re-purchase. (Buy!)

NP Set Black Mascara
Handy, easy to use mascara. A nice dark black shade with a fuss free wand which
coated my lashes with easy without clumping or drying out. Have used this to death! (Buy!)

Mitchum Pure Fresh Clinical Deodorant
Brilliant deodorant! This reminds me of my all time fav, the Rexona Clinical.
Both give 48hr protection and actually live up to their claims. Worth the exxey price tag!
Review! (Buy!)

Sample Tubes/Bottles!

Goldwell Kerasilk Shampoo & Conditioner
I often get bored using the same shampoo & conditioner every single time I wash my hair,
so I tend to use something different for each wash. This was a nice change and happy to get
rid of a few more sample bottles. This was nice and I would happily purchase full size.

Joico K-Pak Revitaluxe Treatment
Very luxe to use and I really did notice a difference in my hair straight away after
blow drying. A real hair treat! (Buy!)

Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Conditioner
I enjoyed using this along with the shampoo bottle, however I am looking forward to moving
on to another brand for a while.
Review! (Buy!)

Pantene Pro-V Aqua Light Conditioner
Nice, would purchase full size once I run out of the 123,758493 other bottles
of conditioner I currently own. Sheesh! (Buy!)

Nivea Men Clear Effect Gel Moisturiser
Stole this one off hubby who wasn't into using it. The scent was really strong
and manly, but I didn't mind it and the gel texture was fun. It did make my skin
feel a little tight afterwards so I found myself applying a facial moisturiser over the top.

MOR Body Butter in 'Lychee Flower'
Super stong scent, but oh so gorgeous! Beautiful body butter. Want MOR!
(Buy!)

Sample Sachets!

WEN Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner
This was my first time using any kind of product from WEN. I received this in a recent
Bellabox and was looking forward to trying it as I've heard rave reviews about it and it is
quite expensive to buy full size. However I couldn't really get into it. It didn't lather which I
perfer when washing my hair. I'm just not into shampoo & conditioners combined.

Ayana Organics Baby Butter
This was a nice and very thick cream. Smelt lovely too.

Maybelline Better Skin Foundation
Already had this full size, but received this in a previous Bellabox.
Love it and use it regularly!
Review! (Buy!)

Natio Renew Line & Wrinkle Day Cream SPF 15
Loved this! I'm not sure how much it did for my lines and wrinkles as it is hard to tell
with a small sachet, however it smelt divine and I enjoyed using it. (Buy!)

Avon Advance Techniques Moroccan Argan Oil
Felt oily in my hands but didn't make my hair oily. I liked this and is the same
as any other hair oil already mentioned in this empties post.

Avon Advance Techniques Daily Shine Conditioner
Had to use this with more conditioner from another bottle as the sachet just didn't
contain enough for one hair wash. But seemed nice enough.

Avon ANEW Vitale Night Cream
I love using night creams, so this was a nice different one to try for a little
change. Would have to use long term to see results though.

Sanctum Hydrating Gel Mask
Use many facial masks this month. Or so it felt! I have been getting into the habit
of lathering one on and then bathing the kids whilst it sits there and dries.
I received this in one of my Beauty Native Boxes which I highly recommend
checking out for some more lovely products like this!

Eslor Firming Collagen Day Cream
Received a few of these samples in one of my Violet Boxes and am really
enjoying the brand.

Eslor Chlorophyll Lifting Mask
Another nice mask which made me feel nice and pampered.
My skin felt so smooth and fresh after this one!

Eslor Botanical Peeling Gel
This gel is actually an exfoliant which I found quite interesting.
I don't think I've ever used a gel the same as this one. An interesting product.
Again, hard to tell how beneficial it was though with just one sample.

Sukin Purifying Facial Masque
This one was probably my favourite. Sukin is one of my all time fav skin care
brands to date and their masques are worth a try!
Review! (Buy!)

Zk'in Certified Organic Line Smoothing Serum
I have been hearing a lot about this brand lately and was happy to receive a few samples
in my recent Bellabox. This serum was really nice and I am looking forward to using the
second one up!

TANNING ROUTINE

~ Tanning Through The Seasons ~

My DIY Self Tanning Routine!

Transitioning From Summer Through Winter!

Self tanning can be a tricky thing. A skill many of us let a professional take control of
for us. There are so many things that can go wrong. Too light, too dark, too orange, streaky,
un-even, leaving marks all over your car seats, coach, bed sheets, etc and that off putting fake
tan smell. The whole point of a fake tan, is to get that golden looking glow without risking your
health by going the natural or solarium route. At the end of the day, we all want our tan to look
natural and flawless.

However, DIY-ing isn't as hard or scary as it sounds. It's just like experimenting with makeup
and figuring out what works, what doesn't and making mistakes and learning from them.

Using good quality products definitiely helps, and with the right tools and techniques you can
have north coast, holiday, 'I've just spend my whole life at the beach' looking skin in no time
and for a fraction of the salon price!

It's really easy once you get the hang of it and once it becomes routine you will wonder why you
ever got almost naked for a complete stranger in an awkward paper G-string in the first place!

Below I will share with you the products currently in my self tanning routine I am using
to get flawless, glowing, tanned skin year round with some hints and tips along the way!

Schick
Intuition Pure Nourishment Razor
For All Skin Types!
RRP: $12.69
Review (Buy!)
I feel like this first step goes pretty much without me having to say it.
If you don't wax, then shave your legs before you tan! If you wait until afterwards, you'll
ruin all of your hard work and shave the tan away... Nobody wants to see hairy legs, so if
you're going to flaunt it, make it count!
-------------------------------------------------

St.Tropez
Body Polish
For All Skin Types!
RRP: $19.95
Review (Buy!)
There is nothing more I love than a good all over body scrub and this one is particually
suited to help maintain and prep your skin for tanning. The circular beads are not to harsh
or scratchy and therefore making sure your tan applies and eventually fades away
smooth and even.
-------------------------------------------------

Jergens
Daily Moisture
For Dry Skin!
RRP: $5.99
Review (Buy!)
I feel like this is a step a lot of people skip when self tanning. Moisturising is so
important for our skin, not only to keep it looking fresh, soft and youthful. It also provies
a smooth and even base for your tan to stick to, giving you the most flawless, streak free
glow you absolutely want!
-------------------------------------------------

Paula's Choice
Sun 365 Self-Tanning Foam
For All Skin Types!
RRP: $16.80
(Buy!)
My current self tanner of choice is this one by Paula's Choice, for a number of reasons.
The main reason is because it is buildable and creates the most natural results!
Just one application gives you a subtle glow. Apply 5-10 and your a super bronzed,
sun kissed looking goddess! Not dodgy tanning smell as it is scent free.
No messy tanning stains all over my bathroom as the formula simply pumps out into my
hand light as a feather for controlled application.

BELLABOX

February 2015!

Featuring:
#harpersbazaar #essieaustralia #zkinorganicsau #transformulas #burtsbeesau #soakskin #aveda

This months Bellabox was quite a treat in general and for myself especially!!
As someone who used to buy way too many and hold on to a rediculous amount of beauty mags,
I no longer purchase them, but still secretly LOVE to read them and drool all over the pages! ;)

I did have the opportunity to choose between Cosmo, Elle or Harpers but decided I wanted it to be
a complete surprise as I knew I'd be happy with any one of them. So when my parcel arrived
with Harpers Bazaar written all over the satchel I couldn't wait to rip it open and delve inside!

I have always admired and had a mega girl crush on Miranda Kerr. Just look at her!
She is perfect. I am so happy with this issue and have already spent hours reading it!

Onto the contents of the box!
I still miss the nice sturdy blue spotted box which Bellabox used to house their samples in
as it is perfect to store beauty samples and other odds and ends in. This yellow box is still cute,
however, I don't see myself keeping and re-using it. Bummer!

Not a shade I would reach out to purchase. However greys are very much the trend right now
so I will give this a go.... with glitter!

Not a huge fan of the scent, however the formula is gorgeous and I'm already addicted to it!

Soak Superfood Skincare Skin Booster Body Lotion
This brand is completely new to me so I am looking forward to learning more about them!

These tiny little sample tubes are adorable and this smells really natural and fresh.
Can't wait to lather this all over my face! :)

As you will see in my February Empties post coming very soon, I have been very much into
masks this month, so I won't need to stock up now that I have this on to try! Yay!

Zk'in Certified Organic Line Smoothing Serum
Bellabox must think I'm old.... but that's ok, the truth is what it is. MEAN! haha!
No not really, I love anti-ageing skincare. I'll try anything to stop the clock. So these will be great!

I've heard lots about this brand and this product in-particular. I don't care too much about the
size of my lips, however I'll give anything a go for fun!

(Or satchet in this case!)
I have never had a face lift before, so this should be interesting. I wonder if I'll look any
different after using this?

GRWM

GET READY WITH ME!

Pop Of Colour!

I can't help but keep the love theme going with this Pop Of Colour make-up look as pink lips
are just my thing. Always my go to shade no matter what day, season or occasion it is! I am
just drawn to it. So recently when I received this shade in my BellaBox from Laqa & Co I was
thrilled and couldn't wait to play! I lined my lips first with one of my favourite lip liners from
ChiChi called Bimbo. A gorgeous hot pink which helped the Laqa & Co Menatour shade stay
firmly in place and really pop!

Because I felt like playing with a bit of colour, I pulled out my coloured ChiChi eye liners
which I hadn't used in quite a while. I applied both Disco Graffiti and Disco Royalty to my
top lash line over the top of my Maybelline Master Precise black liquid liner which actually looked
alright, however it doesn't seem to show up very well in photos. I don't normally apply liner to my
bottom lashes for day to day wear, however I applied both ChiChi colours and I am really happy
with the result. :) The shadows look quite natural and show up a little more understated in photos,
however the Maybelline ExpertWear eyeshadows I am wearing are actually my favourite right
now and I have been wearing this particular quad the most. If you're interested, you can watch
my make-up tutorial using four of the quads from the range here. :)

Of course (and I always say this) my make-up is nothing without a decent base.
To get this even, smooth finish I was a bit lazy and skipped on primer for no reason in particular.
I jumped right in a applied my Maybelline Better Skin Foundation with my Beauty Blender and
then went in under my eyes with the matching Maybelline Better Skin Concealer to conceal my
tired, sleep deprived eyes. Oh! And how can I forget my brows. I recently ran out of my Avon
brow pencil and have been switching between my Maybelline Brow Mascara and the one I've
used here which is actually an eye pencil by L'Oreal but both the formul and shade work
perfectly on my brows. It keeps them in place and looking groomed but still natural.

To complete my overall look, I have framed my face with my hair using my current obsession.
The VS Sasoon Evoke straightener which is this gorgeous pink which matches my lips to a tee!
The L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil does my hair so much good by calming down my fly aways,
frizz and makes my hair feel silky smooth and soft. Bottle of pure gold this stuff!

Products used to create this make-up look:

Maybelline Better Skin Foundation in Light Beige (Review) (Buy)
Maybelling Better Skin Concealer in Light (Buy)
Benefit Cosmetics Hervana Blush (Buy)
ChiChi Lip Liner in Bimbo
ChiChi Eye Liner in Disco Graffiti (Green)
ChiChi Eye Liner in Disco Royalty (Purple)
L'Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes Black Mascara (Buy)
L'Oreal Paris Contour Khol Eye Pencil in #135 Iced Chesnut (Used on my brows)
Maybelline Master Precice Black Liquid Eye Liner (Buy)
Maybelline ExpertWear Eyeshadow Quad in Designer Chocolates (Buy)
VS Sassoon Pink Evoke Hair Straightener (Review) (Buy)

VDAY NAILS

~ VALENTINE'S DAY ~
(Last Minute!)
Nail Art Inspo!

Just one more sleep away before we all wake up to celebrate the day of love!

If you're stuck into your pampering tonight and need some nail inspo, then here is
my little input for you. However, if you're after some seriously creative attention grabbing
pointers, then I highly recommend checking out Pinterest, trush me the inspo there is
definitely not lacking! Just make sure you don't get too distracted gawking and forget to
actually paint your own! (Speaking from experience here!)
Featuring -

I painted each of my nails in the classic romantic red from Maybelline in
'Keep Up The Flame' and applied a few coats of 'Glitter It' over the top on my
signature nail for added glamour and romance.

The finish off this V'Day nail art, I applied 5 of the silver embellishments onto my
signature nail over the top of 'Glitter It' whilst it was still wet so as the polish dried it
made the little stones stick! I then used the end of an old liquid liner wand/brush (washed
of any black liner remains of course!) to dip into 'Glitter It' for just a tiny drop to make these
cute little red hearts stick to each of my remaining nails. :)

I love having my nails painted. They don't have to be fancy or professionally done.
Just having some colour on them makes me happy and lifts my mood.

What are you up to tonight? Are you doing any V'Day beauty prep?

VALENTINES MAKEUP

~ VALENTINE'S DAY MAKE-UP!

With the day of love just two short days away I figured my Valentine's Day themed
week wouldn't be complete without at least one make-up inspo post!

So here goes!

Products used to create my face...

BASE
Nothing looks quite as good without a perfect base.
This is probably the most important part of my whole look.
If your skin looks great, then everything else is just icing on the cake!

EYES
Bloom Liquid Liner in Black
The eyes are the window to your soul. So make them bright, awake and sparkling!
I love lots of lashes, a wing for a bit of drama and sass and natural tones to enhance
and bring out my dark eyes.

LIPS
Love me a barbie pink pout! My fav lip look! :)

NAILS
Can't go wrong with a good old classic red!
I'm loving this one, just look how shiny it is without a top coat!

So there you have it! A simple, little bit glam make-up look for Valentine's Day!
Weather you're going to be spending it with your other half, friends, kids or even your pet!
I hope everyone has the chance to show the ones we love how much they mean to us. xx
Do you like to glam it up for V'Day?

JANUARY FAVOURITES

~ January Favourites ~
2015!

What a crazy month January is! New years and many birthdays including my own! :)
It's such a happy month (apart from the dreadfully steamy weather!) as it means holidays,
family time and relaxing! I love it!

Here are the products I've been loving the most during the start of the new year!
Plenty of Summery looking items, I realize now that I am looking at the pic above.
Guess that's just how it goes when the weather heats up. You gotta find product
that work with the seasons. There is always an overwhelming variety to choose from
so I will share with you the ones which have worked for me which are obviously my
January Favourites!
:)

Makeup/Nails

Physicians Formula Bronze Booster
I have been using this ever so sparingly (as I don't want to ruin the intricate sun imprint)
on the highest point on my cheek bones for a little sun kissed effect.
This bronzer is so beautiful!

Laura Mercier Moisture Supreme Foundation
Even though this foundation is still a bit dark for my skin tone, (I explain how I lighten it to
match my current skin tone here.) I cannot stop going back to it as the forumulation just does an
amazing job and is so different to all of my other foundations. It just makes my skin look so good
and I really enjoy applying this as it's a dream to work with.

Nicole By OPI in 'Some Hearts'
If you follow me on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter then you'll know I have been loving this
hue this month, which I recieved in my Girlfriend's The Parcel since it is the month of love and all! ;)
The coral/pinky/red (somewhere inbetween those shades!) is such a perfect Summer colour!
It fits in perfectly with all of my Summer dresses, short shorts and lose bold coloured tops
and various white pieces. (I love wearing lots of white in Spring/Summer!)
Skin

Paula's Choice Sun 365 Self-Tanning Foam
I have been working on building up my tan to match the weather with this lately and am
totally in love! There is absolutely no weird scent to this and it drys super fast!
Stay tuned for a full review coming soon!

Paula's Choice RESIST Youth Extending Daily Mattifying Fluid
I have been using this on it's own on days when I am home and not wearing makeup and
mixed in with my Laura Mercier Moisture Supreme Foundation on days I am out and about.
It keeps my skin from looking shiny at the end of the day and still contains SPF to protect
my skin from the sun. Creates the illusion of peeeerfect skin!

Hair

Natural World Coconut Water Weightless Hair Oil
Recently I decided I'd have enough of my hair. It was getting way too long.
(Just past the tip of my butt!) Add that to it being thick and frizzy wizzy and it was
annoying as hell so I gave myself the chop and literally cut half of it off before I
showered one night! It isn't really all that shocking as I usually always cut my own hair
and it feels so much lighter and a whole lot more managable now! This product has been
a great treat at giving my new hair lengh some TLC. The difference in appearance and feeling
has turned me nto one of those annoying people who constantly touch their hair!
Stay tuned for a full review coming soon!

Scunci Everyday & Active No Damage Reflective Hair Elastics
Such a basic, everyday item, yet one I had to mention! These keep me sane in many ways!
One, because there are so many in this pack so if I loose one, who cares I have a million
spare! Two, they are snagless so they don't get all caught up in my hair causing knots and pain!
Three, the 3 different varient in design you see in the pic above are actually reflective and light
up in the dark like a bike safety light! They're so cool! :)
