EMPTIES

~  FEBRUARY EMPTIES  ~

-
WATCH/LIKE/SUBSCRIBE!

I usually tend to think of months with some kind of theme. With December being all about
Christmas and January the new year & my birthday. February all me thinking all about hearts,
red roses, romantic dinners and of course LOVE! :)

So let's see how many empties I managed to work my way through in this romantic month!

Let's make it easy and go from the largest packaging to the smallest...

Schick Intuition Pure Nourishment Razor w/ Coconut Milk & Almond Oil
I have said it before and I'll keep on saying it, this is the best razor out there in my opinion!
I have tried a gazillion different kinds and this is by far the most unique and kindest to my skin
which is prone to itching after shaving. I love that I can use this without having to dig around to
find shaving gel too! (Review!)

TRESemme' Platinum Strength Deep Conditioning Treatment
Pretty nice stuff. Has taken my ages to finally get through it. But that can be a good thing!
Would buy again once I am through with all the others I have to use first. :) (Review!)

Avon Naturals Milk & Honey Nourishing Body Lotion
You know how I love my body lotions and lather them all over my body on a daily basis. Well this
one was in one of my most favourite scents - Milk & Honey! I LOVE it! The scent wasn't overly
powerful though, which in this case I would have preferred. Some products need to tone down their
overpowering scents, but this kind of scent can never get too much for me. It is just so delicious!

I have mentioned this product previously in another article here where I talk about the benefits this
product can have if you suffer from super dry skin. My skin isn't prone to dryness, however this was
still nice to use. It came in my Blogstar prize pack a few years ago, so it needed to be finished up, so I
just used it anyway. Did a good job, I enjoyed it especially on my feet which do get the driest.

Coast To Coast Ultra Gentle Facial Polish w/ Wild Rosella & Oatmeal
I would classify this as quite a gentle exfoliant. Great for sensitive skin types. My skin is normal and
prone to breaking out every now and then and I was actually surprised at how well it kept the pesky
spots at bay. Lasted me ages and every now and then I would also use it to give my legs and feet a
gentle scrub. (Review!)

Dettol Soft On Skin Hand Wash in Vanilla & Coconut
Such an awesome household staple to have all over the house, especially with little ones running
around. I love these because this refill is used in an automatic battery operated dispenser which means
the no touch sensor senses when you hand is placed under it and squirts out just the right amount of
soap per wash, leaving little room for germs to spread! Also smells SO YUM!

Paleo Skincare Spearmint Tallow Bodywash
Received this sample in my recent Native Box which I have reviewed here. Make sure you check
that out for a mini demo so you can see how it works! :)
This brand is new to me and I did enjoy using this. The scent was nice and not too ott. It lathered up
pretty well and made me feel refreshed and smelling minty for the day!

Avon Shine On Shimmering Lip Gloss is Frost
I am sure that I am not the only one trying to down size their lip gloss/balm stash?
How do so many accumulate so quickly? I must have about 50 and have no clue how I am going to
get through them all in this life time, but hey I can try! Recently threw away a heap which felt so
relieving! Anyway - The gloss is so cute and shimmery, I really actually enjoyed it. Occasionally
doubled up using a tiny bit as a bit of a cheek high lighter.

Lancome Juicy Lip Gloss
Unfortunately this gloss seemed to separate in the tube. :( Half of the product was a beautiful grape
shade with a hint of shimmer throughout and the other was just clear, sticky goo. Was not impressed
considering this is probably one of the most expensive lip glosses I have ever invested in. I expect
more from such a higher ended brand.

And we're done! How are you going with your empties so far for 2016?

SEPTEMBER EMPTIES

~  September Empties!  ~
---------

Previous -> August / July / June / May / April / March / February / January

Better late than never, welcome to my September Emtpties....even though it's half way through
October, what?! Gosh another month has completely escaped me! I seriously need to get me a time
machine or one that stands time still. My life is crayzay!

Randoms!

Nivea Pure Invisible 48hr Deodorant (Buy!) - Pretty awesome stuff. Sprays on dry and not powdery.
Great price over most others. Would def buy again!
Woolies Select Nail Polish Remover - Not fussed so long as it does the job and this does just that.
Great cheapie! Def buy again, however have tried the other variations in the green and I think it's
blue or yellow bottles? Can't tell the difference, they all feel/do the same to me.
Clever White Dissolving Whitening Strips - FINALLY finished the box! Yay! Goal reached! haha!
If you've been following my empties over the past few month then you'd know how I feel about
these. I would highly recommend checking out PureSmile products instead. :)

Hair!

Pantene Ice Shine Shampoo (Buy!) - Reviewed this ages ago and finally got around to finishing
the bottle! Woohoo! Onto the next! This was a pretty good one for Pantene I have to say. Make a
nice difference to my overall hair's look.
TRESemme' Split Remedy Conditioner (Buy!) - After finishing up the matching shampoo last month
I finally caught up and finished off the conditioner this month! This stuff is great if you have trouble
with split ends. I honestly had them really bad and now they are completely gone. I feel like using
this as well as having regular trims really helped! (Review!)
Suigo Shampoo & Conditioner - Sadly I didn't get a whole lot of use out of these sample size
bottles which were sent to me for review. However I did like them and after two washes my
hair felt pretty spectacular! (Buy!)

Cleansers!

Frangipani w/Jojoba Oil Body Wash - A random from a gift pack I was given for I think either
Christmas or my birthday? Was a pretty pink shade and bubbled up nicely smelling oh so yum!
Dove Pink Beauty Cream Bar Soap - Loved the change from white to pink with this soap I have
used a million times before. My 4yr old daughter also is a fan. :)

Moisturisers!

Britney Spears Curious Body Souffle - An old favourite but time to say good bye. I am still
working my way through my massive batch of moisturisers being very strict with myself and
making sure I lather up top to toe every single day! I think I am beginning to see some space in
my bathroom. Miracle! (Buy!
Frangipani Moisturising Lotion - I am not sure of the brand of this but it was super duper nice!
Smelt exactly like a Frangipani tree (Bliss!) and was shimmery like fairy wings. Just my style! ;)

Samples!

Vagisil Intimate Wash
Vagisil Wipe
The Body Shop x2
Revlon Photo Ready Prime + Anti Shine
ModelCo Double Sided Facial Wipes (Buy!)
Virtual Illusion Makeup Primer
Maskd The Green Mask

How do you go with de-stashing your stash?
Do you tend to hoard or use your samples quickly?

MAY FAVS

MAY FAVOURTIES!

Human & Kind Wash Off Cleanser
I have been using this all month and I think my skin is rejoycing! I love the formula and unique way
of using it with the ultra soft and gentle wash off cloth supplied. A truely beautiful product I
recommend giving a go if you're on the market for a new cleanser especially if you have sensitive
skin! (REVIEW!)

I think I have mentioned this in my favourites quite a number of times! I am that passionate about it!
My hair needs extra strength and especailly even more now since I have been having it lightened.
The Tresemme Platinum Strength range in general and this product in particular just makes my hair
feel like virgin hair all over again in an instant by giving it it's strength back as well as adding shine
and softness. (REVIEW!)

Huge, huuuuge fan of this BB Cream! I have tried about a billion BB Creams and this one is
definitely up there. Suprisingly the coverage is actually brilliant! It is even better than some of my
foundations can you believe. I put it down to the 9 in 1 formula as it does everything. I especially am
a fan of it's ability to conceal my pores and acts as the perfect foundation base or primer. (REVIEW!) (BUY!)

Physicians Formula Organic Wear Mascara
Ahh, just look at this mascara's packaging?! I recently received this gorgeous looking product in my
Priceline gift with purchase makeup goodie bag and omg, it is soooo nice! It makes my eyes pop and
doesn't clump up my lashes or make them look all spidery and un-natural. It has lovely short bristles
which make it perfect for those tricky bottom lashes as well. (BUY!)

Essie Polish in 'Pink About It' & 'A Cut Above'
I have been obsessed with Essie polish lately and these two have fast become my go-to favs!
Baby pink in general is my go-to shade for polish anyway and 'Pink About It' combine with
'A Cut Above' just adds a special kind of glam and girlyness to my nails which I just love!

I have previously tried another Puretopia facial moisturiser which was equally great don't get me
wrong. However, this Sensitive Care version is perfect for this time of the year when my skin is
prone to being a little moody and sensitive from the cold weather and change in seasons. My
skin feels extra taken care of and feels a lot calmer when I use this! (BUY!)

Another go-to product is this Maybelline quad. The shades here act as the perfect everyday eye
collection and are appropriate to wear both day and night. These shades can be build up and
give you a killer smokey effect when smudged together. I especially love using the bottom liner
shade as a smudgy eye liner. You could stop traffic I am telling you! ;) (MAKEUP TUTORIAL!)

Australian Bush Flower Essences Love System Intensive Eye Serum
I have noticed especially over the past 3-5 years my eye area definitely needing a bit of love!
This skin treatment for your eyes is going to last forever! The bottle size compared to the tiny
amound needed for the eye area is amazing and is feels, smells and give real results. I have been
using this for a few months now and I can already see the lines around my eyes have tightened
and faded slightly!! Made from actual rose stem cells as one of it's ingredients, I just love that
clever concept! (REVIEW!)

This is another product I picked up when I received the Priceline goodie bag. (Actually my
husband picked it out as it was my Mother's Day present!) It is actually an eyeshadow trio,
however I have been using it on my cheeks as a highlighter/blush/illuminiator. It is incredibly
pretty, I just adore the soft pinks! (BUY!)

Scunci Hair Accessories Braided Black Hair Ties
My hair is thick and can be totally unruley. Especially in the mornings when it appears to
have had a life of it's own (Partying hard I suspect by the looks of it!) whilst I have slept.
So to have these Scunci thick and strong hair ties on hand to sort it out so I can sort myself
out during my busy mornings as a mum is a must! I can just rely on these to get my hair
out of the way when I am in a hurry and I can be as rough as I like and there is no way
ever these are going to break on me. They are brilliant!

Well, I know this post is super late!
I aim to have my June favs up later today so then I will be completely caught up again!

MAY EMPTIES

Another month of conciously trying to downside and de-clutter a bunch of my old beauty items.
I tend to try to use up samples and small bottles and tubes first to get them out of the way, try
something new that could potentially become a new fav and then move on beginning with oldest to
newest.

As you can see from the picture below, I have pretty much used up all of my sample items and little
sachets so I am very excited to be moving onto some full size bottles and newbies!

A lot of these items used up this month have been laying around my bathroom for way too long and
didn't have much left in them so they were easy to quickly finish and have made precious space for
the new items I have aquired over the past 30 or so days. :)

Here is an overview...

HAIR CARE -
SunIn Super Hair Lightener (Full Size)
Fudge Dynamite Deep Conditioning Repair Treatment (Full Size)
Romy Eucalyptus & Lemongrass Shampoo (Sample)
Romy Eucalyptus & Lemongrass Conditioner (Sample)

TEETH/ORAL CARE -
Colgate Optic White Express White (Full Size)
Oral-B Pro Health Clean Mint (Full Size)

BODY LOTION/MOISTURISER -
Anna Sui Secret Wish Body Lotion (Full Size)
(oops accidently put the Anna Sui shower gel in this pic. Should be below with the body washes/cleansers! See below.)
Romy Eucalyptus & Lemongrass Body Lotion (Sample)

BODY WASHES/CLEANSERS -
Anna Sui Secret Wish Shower Gel (Full Size)
Nivea Men Clear Effect Volcanic Mud Foam Face Wash (Sample)
Romy Eucalyptus & Lemongrass Bath/Shower Gel (Sample)

HAIR REMOVAL -
Schick Intuition Pure Nourishment Replaceable Blade (Full Size) (Review!)

MAKE-UP -
Maeve Lustre Lip Balm in Coral (Full Size)

So to sum things up, my empties tally now stands at 67 full size and 102 samples for the year
so far! Woozas, do I love samples much? Yes, yes I do! :)

How did you go with your empties for the month of May?

AUGUST FAVOURITES

~ AUGUST FAVOURITES! ~

DOVE Go Fresh Nourishing Body Wash
(Cucumber & Green Tea!)
This body wash feels so relaxing at the end of a long day as well as doing wonders
to wake me up first thing in the morning! Loving the scent of this Dove range, which
is why it's a big fav of mine this past month! My daughter even uses it in the bath! :)

TRESEMME' Platinum Strength Stay Soft Leave In Treatment
I've been using this almost every single day before styling my hair in the morning.
It's the perfect, easy to use product for me because I don't have to think too much about
how to use it. Wet or dry hair, it doesn't matter, just work it through to repair up to 2 years
damage to your hair! Makes my hair feel super soft and generally just looks a whole lot healthier!

TRILOGY Very Gentle Moisturising Cream
I recently dug this sort of old product out of one of the never ending beauty draws which resides
in my bathroom. ;) Don't we all have at least one?
Anyway, another super easy to product to use either day and/or night.
Feels very soothing and leaves skin super soft.
Contains natural spring water, chamomile and calendula!

SKIN DOCTORS Cosmeceuticals Younger Hands
After more months than I like to admit, I've begun using hand cream again.
My hands are probably the most aged part of my whole body. :(
This promises to help your hands look 10 years younger in just 6 weeks!
I think it's been doing a pretty good job thus far.
I use this at night just before bed.

FACE OF AUSTRALIA Mineral Therapy Illuminator
(In Angel Flame!)
I've never used Illuminators very much, but having discovered a few of them lately,
I can no longer ignore them because they are just too pretty!
I am a sucker for shiny, glittery and sparkly anything, and so this one is no exception!
Creates a stunning, illuminous, subtle glow!

MAYBELLINE Dream Pure BB 8-in-1 BB Cream
(In Light!)
On days when just at home and with no plans to go out or see anybody, I usually just slap
on some BB cream instead of applying a full face of foundation because it's just quicker
and get's the job done in livening my face up and hiding any imperfections just in case there's
a knock at the door, or I have to go out quickly for some reason.
I am particularly fond of this BB cream because the colour just seems to look seamless on my skin.
It neither looks cakey, oily or dry on my skin. It just looks exactly like my skin, only perfected!

I won't give too much away about this product just yet as I'm currently still in the middle of
trialling this, but obviously I'm loving it or it wouldn't be here included in my favs!
There seems to be rush of 'Blur' kind of products on the market at the moment and it seems
like most brands are getting in on the act, releasing their own version claiming to be the best.
This one has me flawed! Even on days when I've had barely any sleep and am stressed to the max,
this does absolute wonders! I've never tried anything like it! Amaze!!

SUKIN Facial Treatment Oil
If you've used Sukin before, then you know how gorgeous their products are!
I can't stop using this treatment oil on my skin, it's sooo nice! I originally started using it on my face
to help with the slight acne scaring on my cheeks, and now I'm using a little bit of it on my
pregnancy stretch marks and it's really toning down the scaring.
Full of vitamin and antioxidants as well as fatty acids.

ARBONNE Lipstick
(In Candy Friandise!)
I know I have included this in a favourites post before and here it is again!
I've found myself reaching for this lipstick the most this past month.
It's the most wearable, natural shade. It just adds the perfect amount of natural pink to your
lips to make them look like they're just naturally that perfect shade!
Love the way it feels on my lips, moisturising, smooth and barely noticeable.

Love Candy!

TRESEMME PLATINUM STRENGTH

~ TRESemme ~

Expert Selection

Platinum Strength Range

Shampoo:
This shampoo like most, lathers up into a nice, thick white foam.
The smell is true to the classic Tresemme scent. Stronger when you're
using it in the shower than just smelling it out of the bottle. I think the
steam from a hot shower creates that, which is nice because it gives my
whole bathroom a scented makeover! Because my hair is prone to dryness,
especially in these colder months, I have enjoyed using a product like this
which is extra, extra moisturising! I'm not sure how my hair would take to
this in Summer when I like to wash my hair daily because you can't help but
just get hot and sweaty no matter what you do and since this is so moisturising
I feel like it could end up a bit too heavy and weigh my hair down (especially
since I have so much of it!) at a time when I need it to be as lightweight as possible.

Conditioner:
I don't think I've ever come across a conditioner as moisturising as this one!
I wouldn't recommend this for normal or healthy haired people.
I feel like to get the best out of it, you really only should go out and get this if
your hair is dry and damaged and needs a lot of TLC!
This conditioner I used only on the bottom half of my hair as this is where
my hair need the most nourishing. It does a brilliant job at repairing the
damage from dyes, styling/heat tools and blunt scissors (for when I like to think
I'm clever and touch up my ends DIY at home) can do! I noticed instantly how
smooth and soft it was making my hair. It was like when you apply a really good,
thick moisturising cream to your face or body, only to your hair.
Makes perfect sense to me! :)

Deep Conditioning Treatment:
This is designed to use once a week, which I have been doing for the past
two weeks and because my hair needed a bit of extra, extra moisture to it,
this did an amazing job at providing that extra care. I don't see myself needing to
keep on using this every single week, because I feel like by the second week my
hair didn't need it as much as before the first use. So ill probably continue to
use this every 2-3 weeks or whenever my hair feel extra dry or stressed.

Leave In Treatment:
I love these kinds of leave in products because I can apply them to towel
dry or completely dry hair and I don't have to think about it. I can just
apply it any time of the day or night for a bit of hair pampering!
This claims to repair up to two years of hair damage!
That is such a brave claim and incredible if true.
I honestly don't know if it has begun to repair two years worth of
damage to my hair.... that is something very hard to distinguish.
It is a beautiful product though which I have really been enjoying!
This, along side the shampoo, conditioner and the deep conditioning
treatment, I feel like have deeply nourished, moisturised and strengthened
my hair over the past two weeks, so I'm very happy about that! :)

TRESemme Keratin Smooth

TRESemme'

Expert Selection

Keratin Smooth

7 Day System!

~ Review! ~
When it comes to my hair, I feel as though I've been cursed through my mother's genes.
She and I share the same naturally thick and frizzy prone strands.
If technology had never evolved when it
comes to hair care and tools, I would be doomed to look like a fuzzy wuzzy, cray cray
cat lady or something the like. I need my hair tamed on a daily bases or it runs totally WILD!
Think young Herminie from the first Harry Potter movie and that's pretty much
my hair before I start it tackle it with about a billion products each day!

So in saying that I was very curious to try the NEW Keratin Smooth range from TRESemme'.
Just seeing the word Smooth already has me sucked in and eager for results asap.
So with this 7 day smooth system, I was pretty impressed at how fast and effective this
range has worked for me. It sure had it's work cut out for it!

This range is designed to be used in conjunction with your hair straightening tools
to activate their thermal technology in the formula for salon perfect results.
This is an amazing technique that I have never heard of nor used before
and I think it is so awesome because it really feels like I'm the hair dresser
at home, in charge and in total control of my own hair.
---
Keratin Smooth Shampoo
7 Day Smooth System
NEW w/Lower Sulfates!
RRP: $10.99 (250ml)
This shampoo has a lovely light fragrance and shampooing my hair was a relaxing treat.
It lathered up well with only a small amount needed. About what you see in my image
below. As you can see it is a white and creamy formula. I found after towel drying and
then once my hair was completely dry my hair felt softer as well as free from any frizz it
usually spots with about a million fly aways everywhere! Kept my hair clean and non greasy
for about 3 days before I needed to wash again.

Keratin Smooth Conditioner
7 Day Smooth System
NEW Thermal Technology!
RRP: $10.99 (250ml)
The formula of this conditioner as you can see below is similar to the matching
Keratin Smooth shampoo, however this conditioner as with most is a little thicker.
Using this was too easy! I just massaged it into my hair, mostly concerntrating on the ends
which need the most TLC and it easily detangled my hair and made it feel silky smooth!
Contains a beautifully light fragrance much the same as the 7 Day Smooth System Shampoo.

Keratin Smoth Heat Activated Treatment
7 Day Smooth System
NEW Thermal Technology
Lasts Even Through Washes!
RRP: $10.99 (120ml)
This salon quality product is anyone's dream hair product! You seriously need to invest
in this if you want to simply have straight, well behaved hair all the time!
I use this the following day after washing before straightening my hair and it is amazing!
My hair usually looks alright after burning the crap out of it with my straightener. However
when using a bit of this in my hair before straightening, it just cuts down the heat time in half!
My hair is already looking much better from the Shampoo & Conditioner alone, and then using
this as well just tops it all off. My hair remains straight, smooth and frizz free for up to a week!
