UNISEX PRODUCTS

UNISEX PRODUCTS I USE & RECOMMEND!

Straight out of our shared bathroom....

LISTERINE TOTAL CARE
I have always grown up being quite aware of my oral health and taken good care of my teeth. I've not
ever had a filling and would like it to stay that way. I am not actually a big fan of using mouth wash. I
find them too strong and overpowering, and this one is no exception. This product is actually one of
the strongest in terms of flavour I have ever used, however I use it becaues the benefits far out weigh
the pungent flavour.

With 6 big benefits in one including - killing germs, reducing plaque, freshening breath, protects
gums, prevents tartar build up and strengthens teeth. It is hard to say no and I cannot deny my mouth needs this and since I am now well beyond the 21st Day Challenge from when I first began using this
product, I can safely say my mouth looks, feels and smells a lot more clean and healthy.

About a month ago I took my 4 and 2 yr old for their very first dental check up and also booked
myself in for a check and clean since I hadn't been in more than 5 years! Happy to report all is good
and I am still cavity free! Yay!

NIVEA CREAM
I feel like I have been using this classic Nivea Cream since I started using skincare products. I am
pretty sure the first time I used this product I was actually 'borrowing' it from my sister! This product
is the perfect all rounder must have for every person, male and female! It comes in a variety of sizes,
so you can have a larger size at home for daily use as well as smaller travel and purse size options
available. At the moment I just have this cute little sample pot which I received after applying for a
sample.

The cream is thick and white and is great for dry and sensitive skin. Even safe enough to use on
children and babies skin which has been great over the past 5 years with my two rascals.
Can be used all over the body as both a facial and/or body cream.
Currently on special at Priceline for $6.64 (200ml)

I have been using this for a few months now and love that it is unisex and my hubby can also enjoy it!
The clear glass bottle is so simplistic and minimal and matches any space I store it. The scent is very
gender neutral, appealing to both men and women. I usually go for the sweet, floral and girlie scents,
however this isn't any of those things yet doesn't smell at all masculine either. This is a really fresh
and clean scent that doesn't over power your nose. I have found the fragrance to last throughout the
day and can smell it lingering on my skin if I smell my arm. :) This would make a great gift for those
who have everything or are difficult to buy for as it would suit just about everyone!

Contains top notes of wasabi, mandarin & violet leaf. Middles notes of wet cobblestones, concrete
accords, orris root & rose absolute and base notes of vetiver, sandalwood & incense.

PRIMAL EARTH MOISTURISER WITH SPF
There has just been something in the air lately that has been attracting me to products from New
Zealand, (see my NZ skincare routine here!) and this being one of them! My husband visited NZ
for a few months before we met and has always raved about how beautiful a place it is, so I wasn't
surprised to find the Primal Earth range of men's products on his side of the bathroom.

Being a naturally curious beauty nut who will try just about anything I had to see if it was any good,
as I usually do with any new product I see in the bathroom. I am gonna try it - mine or not! haha!

This moisturiser is thick and white and contains an SPF 15 which you can't even tell is there when
you apply it. There is no greasy feel or sunscreen type smell. The smell is actually very natural and
uplifting. I really like this one!! Contains Aloe Vera, Green Tea & Harakeke.
Available to purchase from Woolworths.

COLGATE OPTIC WHITENING PEN
This product actually comes in a set with the Colgate Optic White toothbrush but I have to say I
only bought it mainly for the whitening pen! I have a bit of an obsession with whitening my teeth
as a frequent coffee drinker (more for the buzz and to stay awake and alert than the taste) my teeth
have suffered for it and definitely have had whiter, brighter days!

The pen is so easy to use, you just twist the bottom around until it clicks a few time and you will see
the product begin to ooze out the top. Apply this to your teeth and you're good to go! I have been
applying this right before I go to bed so my tongue doesn't get busy wondering around my mouth and
removing the product. I want it to work with maximum results so I let it sit overnight. I started to see
results after about a week and have kept on using it!

NIVEA FOR MEN SENSITIVE POST SHAVE BALM
With all of the hype around this product recently of course I had to give it a go to see for myself
what all the fuss was about. Funnily enough my husband already had and uses this product so it
was easy for me to 'borrow' it!

For women it is said this product makes for a killer makeup primer. I have tried quite a number of
different primers and have found pros and cons in each of them, however never actually finding a
holy grail I would keep on re-purchasing. So I have been buying and trying out new ones all the time.

This product does have a bit of an aroma to it. It is quite pleasant though and not as strong as you
might expect a men's facial product to be. Usually they seem to have a much stronger scent then
women's products in my opinion. After applying the skin feels smooth and dry surprisingly and
immediately ready for makeup which stays matte and shine free throughout the day! Gotta love that!

Do you use any of the above products?
Are there any you would been keen to try?

SEPTEMBER EMPTIES

~  September Empties!  ~
---------

Previous -> August / July / June / May / April / March / February / January

Better late than never, welcome to my September Emtpties....even though it's half way through
October, what?! Gosh another month has completely escaped me! I seriously need to get me a time
machine or one that stands time still. My life is crayzay!

Randoms!

Nivea Pure Invisible 48hr Deodorant (Buy!) - Pretty awesome stuff. Sprays on dry and not powdery.
Great price over most others. Would def buy again!
Woolies Select Nail Polish Remover - Not fussed so long as it does the job and this does just that.
Great cheapie! Def buy again, however have tried the other variations in the green and I think it's
blue or yellow bottles? Can't tell the difference, they all feel/do the same to me.
Clever White Dissolving Whitening Strips - FINALLY finished the box! Yay! Goal reached! haha!
If you've been following my empties over the past few month then you'd know how I feel about
these. I would highly recommend checking out PureSmile products instead. :)

Hair!

Pantene Ice Shine Shampoo (Buy!) - Reviewed this ages ago and finally got around to finishing
the bottle! Woohoo! Onto the next! This was a pretty good one for Pantene I have to say. Make a
nice difference to my overall hair's look.
TRESemme' Split Remedy Conditioner (Buy!) - After finishing up the matching shampoo last month
I finally caught up and finished off the conditioner this month! This stuff is great if you have trouble
with split ends. I honestly had them really bad and now they are completely gone. I feel like using
this as well as having regular trims really helped! (Review!)
Suigo Shampoo & Conditioner - Sadly I didn't get a whole lot of use out of these sample size
bottles which were sent to me for review. However I did like them and after two washes my
hair felt pretty spectacular! (Buy!)

Cleansers!

Frangipani w/Jojoba Oil Body Wash - A random from a gift pack I was given for I think either
Christmas or my birthday? Was a pretty pink shade and bubbled up nicely smelling oh so yum!
Dove Pink Beauty Cream Bar Soap - Loved the change from white to pink with this soap I have
used a million times before. My 4yr old daughter also is a fan. :)

Moisturisers!

Britney Spears Curious Body Souffle - An old favourite but time to say good bye. I am still
working my way through my massive batch of moisturisers being very strict with myself and
making sure I lather up top to toe every single day! I think I am beginning to see some space in
my bathroom. Miracle! (Buy!
Frangipani Moisturising Lotion - I am not sure of the brand of this but it was super duper nice!
Smelt exactly like a Frangipani tree (Bliss!) and was shimmery like fairy wings. Just my style! ;)

Samples!

Vagisil Wipe
The Body Shop x2
Revlon Photo Ready Prime + Anti Shine
ModelCo Double Sided Facial Wipes (Buy!)

PRICELINE SALE

PRICELINE

2 DAY SKINCARE 40% OFF SALE!

MY PICKS!

Oh ma gaaaa! Priceline is having yet another sale! This time with 40% of skincare! Woot woot!

Sale begins Tuesday 28th July - 29th July 2015!

You must know by now how obsessed I am with my skincare with me having featured many brands
and shared with you many of my various skincare routines over the past two years.

Now I am going to share with you what I recommend picking up at this mega quick 2 day sale and
what's on my wish list to get!

MY RECOMMENDATIONS -
ANTIPODES Ananda Antioxidant Rich Gentle Toner
I recently reviewed this gentle toner and have been using it on and off in between testing out
new products which land on my desk here at CandyFairy HQ. ;) It's beautiful and very relaxing
and uplifting. Well worth taking a chance on for such a bargain with the 40% off.

CLEAN & CLEAR Morning Burst Skin Brightening Facial Scrub
I can definitely vouch for this product as I recently finished it up and will feature in my empties
at the end of the end. So having gone through a whole tube of it, I can say I did not tire of it once!
It feels so nice with the bursting beads which are soft and smell a-mazing! (Review!)

SUKIN Purifying Facial Masque
After trying out a whole range of Sukin products which I have review here. This facial masque was
a stand out favourite. Deeply cleansing my pores and removing all of the yucky stuff. You can really
feel this masque working and it feels great and very satisfying!

SUKIN Hydrating Mist Toner
Mist toners have been a new regular part of my daily beauty routine only over about the past year or
so and I have never looked back. They are so hydrating and refreshing to use throughout the day,
especially when it is humid or you skin is feeling wind swept of particularly dry. Love it first thing in
the morning most though.

DR.LEWINNS Ultra R4 Ultimate Lift Serum
I have found serums to be so essential to my routine now a days with my skin beginning to noticeably
age. Noooo! So sad, but evidently true and virtually un-stoppable. Serums such as this one
particularly does help slow down or at least appear to slow down the process some what. My skin
looks a whole lot more youthful when I use this continually over a period of at least a week or more. (Review!)

NEUTROGENA Pore Refining Exfoliating Cleanser
Fast approaching my mid thirties, my skin still suffers from occasional acne and it drives me around
the bend! If it weren't for products like this one to keep my skin in check I would be a mess. Love it
and the pore refining is a nice added bonus. (Review!)

NIVEA Pure & Natural Cleansing Toner
This traditional cleansing toner I love using after cleansing and before moisturising to remove any
excess makeup my cleanser might have missed and it also tightens up my pores and doesn't dry out
my skin like some toners can do. (Review!)

CLEARASIL Oil Free Daily Gel Wash
This is a good old fav! Having first tried this thanks to Beautyheaven quite a few years ago.
You can catch my review here. This gel wash is great for acne prone or oily skin. It it so light and
foamy and just works - full stop! Love it!

PURETOPIA Sensitive Care Soothing & Comforting Facial Moisturiser
I have been loving this facial moisturiser this Winter when the elements and air can be extra harsh on
my skin. Created especially for sensitive skin types, it feels very loving and soothing on my skin.
It keeps my skin feeling soft and looking dewy and fresh all day even in the harsh chilly air. (Review!)

YES TO CARROTS Daily Facial Moisturiser
This is the most recent addition to my skincare routine and so far a stand out winner for me.
It smells amazing and I cannot wait to share my full review of it with you. Coming soon!

DOVE Go Fresh Facial Cleanser w/Cucumber & Green Tea
I have been a Dove consumer for as long as I have been washing my face! For as long as I can
remember I have always had Nivea products in my bathroom having caught the addiction from my
older sister who used them first. This one is especially delicious and enjoyable with it's cucumber
and green tea scents and ingredients. (Review!)

INDEED LABS Nanoblur
This is one of my all time favourite facial perfecting skin primers. It does an unbelievable job at
smoothing out my skin and concealing any imperfections. I find it easy to work with and totally
worth every cent! (Review!)

MAY EMPTIES

Another month of conciously trying to downside and de-clutter a bunch of my old beauty items.
I tend to try to use up samples and small bottles and tubes first to get them out of the way, try
something new that could potentially become a new fav and then move on beginning with oldest to
newest.

As you can see from the picture below, I have pretty much used up all of my sample items and little
sachets so I am very excited to be moving onto some full size bottles and newbies!

A lot of these items used up this month have been laying around my bathroom for way too long and
didn't have much left in them so they were easy to quickly finish and have made precious space for
the new items I have aquired over the past 30 or so days. :)

Here is an overview...

HAIR CARE -
SunIn Super Hair Lightener (Full Size)
Fudge Dynamite Deep Conditioning Repair Treatment (Full Size)
Romy Eucalyptus & Lemongrass Shampoo (Sample)
Romy Eucalyptus & Lemongrass Conditioner (Sample)

TEETH/ORAL CARE -
Colgate Optic White Express White (Full Size)
Oral-B Pro Health Clean Mint (Full Size)

BODY LOTION/MOISTURISER -
Anna Sui Secret Wish Body Lotion (Full Size)
(oops accidently put the Anna Sui shower gel in this pic. Should be below with the body washes/cleansers! See below.)
Romy Eucalyptus & Lemongrass Body Lotion (Sample)

BODY WASHES/CLEANSERS -
Anna Sui Secret Wish Shower Gel (Full Size)
Nivea Men Clear Effect Volcanic Mud Foam Face Wash (Sample)
Romy Eucalyptus & Lemongrass Bath/Shower Gel (Sample)

HAIR REMOVAL -
Schick Intuition Pure Nourishment Replaceable Blade (Full Size) (Review!)

MAKE-UP -
Maeve Lustre Lip Balm in Coral (Full Size)

So to sum things up, my empties tally now stands at 67 full size and 102 samples for the year
so far! Woozas, do I love samples much? Yes, yes I do! :)

How did you go with your empties for the month of May?

FEBRUARY EMPTIES

~ February Empties! ~

Well wasn't that a short month?! I can't believe February is already over. I had forgotten
there was only 28 days this month! I had a questionable looking freakle removed from my
stomach on Friday, so needless to say I am more than happy to let this month go and move on!

I feel like I got through a lot of products this month. Probably more than I ever have,
so I am exciting to bin all of this stuff and start fresh for March and maybe pick up a few
newbies to reward my efforts. Cos that's just what I need.... more stuff!
It's a vicious cycle and a hard core addiction. No, I don't need help.
Much...

Full Size!

Garnier Anti-Ageing Brightening Toner
I have always had good experiences with Garnier products and I loved this one too.
Tightened my pores and removed excess makeup like a pro!

Garnier Fructis Anti-Frizz Smoothing Serum
This reminds me of my L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil as the formula is the same and they
both work brillantly. This is just a slightly more affordable option. I recommend it.
Review! (Buy!)

Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo
I liked this, as always it makes my hair feel nice and soft, smooth and moisturised.
I prefer a prettier packaged and more interesting smelling product when it comes
to shampoo though.
Review! (Buy!)

Pantene Pro-V All Day Smooth Light Weight Creme
This product detangles your hair. I didn't really need it, but it was light weight
and made my hair smell nice inbetween washes. (Buy!)

Pure Zone Foot Therapy Exfoliating Foot Scrub
This had a nice and light Tea Tree and Eucalyptus scent to it which was refreshing.
However the 'scrub' was pretty much non exsistent and didn't do a whole lot of scrubbing.

Vaseline Intensive Care Hand & Nail Lotion
My nails tend to split and get quite soft it I don't use some kind of nail hardening
product. This made them much stronger and my skin felt nourished when I used this.

Dove Nourishing Oil Care Nutri-Oil Serum
Much the same as the Garnier Fructis & L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil, this hair serum
combats frizz and makes hair appear shiny and sleek without weighing it down or making
it greasy. Really enjoyed this one as well. (Buy!)

Nailene Clear Top Coat
This was a great clear top coat. Nothing negative to say. Did the job so I would
happily re-purchase. (Buy!)

NP Set Black Mascara
Handy, easy to use mascara. A nice dark black shade with a fuss free wand which
coated my lashes with easy without clumping or drying out. Have used this to death! (Buy!)

Mitchum Pure Fresh Clinical Deodorant
Brilliant deodorant! This reminds me of my all time fav, the Rexona Clinical.
Both give 48hr protection and actually live up to their claims. Worth the exxey price tag!
Review! (Buy!)

Sample Tubes/Bottles!

Goldwell Kerasilk Shampoo & Conditioner
I often get bored using the same shampoo & conditioner every single time I wash my hair,
so I tend to use something different for each wash. This was a nice change and happy to get
rid of a few more sample bottles. This was nice and I would happily purchase full size.

Joico K-Pak Revitaluxe Treatment
Very luxe to use and I really did notice a difference in my hair straight away after
blow drying. A real hair treat! (Buy!)

Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Conditioner
I enjoyed using this along with the shampoo bottle, however I am looking forward to moving
on to another brand for a while.
Review! (Buy!)

Pantene Pro-V Aqua Light Conditioner
Nice, would purchase full size once I run out of the 123,758493 other bottles
of conditioner I currently own. Sheesh! (Buy!)

Nivea Men Clear Effect Gel Moisturiser
Stole this one off hubby who wasn't into using it. The scent was really strong
and manly, but I didn't mind it and the gel texture was fun. It did make my skin
feel a little tight afterwards so I found myself applying a facial moisturiser over the top.

MOR Body Butter in 'Lychee Flower'
Super stong scent, but oh so gorgeous! Beautiful body butter. Want MOR!
(Buy!)

Sample Sachets!

WEN Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner
This was my first time using any kind of product from WEN. I received this in a recent
Bellabox and was looking forward to trying it as I've heard rave reviews about it and it is
quite expensive to buy full size. However I couldn't really get into it. It didn't lather which I
perfer when washing my hair. I'm just not into shampoo & conditioners combined.

Ayana Organics Baby Butter
This was a nice and very thick cream. Smelt lovely too.

Maybelline Better Skin Foundation
Already had this full size, but received this in a previous Bellabox.
Love it and use it regularly!
Review! (Buy!)

Natio Renew Line & Wrinkle Day Cream SPF 15
Loved this! I'm not sure how much it did for my lines and wrinkles as it is hard to tell
with a small sachet, however it smelt divine and I enjoyed using it. (Buy!)

Avon Advance Techniques Moroccan Argan Oil
Felt oily in my hands but didn't make my hair oily. I liked this and is the same
as any other hair oil already mentioned in this empties post.

Avon Advance Techniques Daily Shine Conditioner
Had to use this with more conditioner from another bottle as the sachet just didn't
contain enough for one hair wash. But seemed nice enough.

Avon ANEW Vitale Night Cream
I love using night creams, so this was a nice different one to try for a little
change. Would have to use long term to see results though.

Sanctum Hydrating Gel Mask
Use many facial masks this month. Or so it felt! I have been getting into the habit
of lathering one on and then bathing the kids whilst it sits there and dries.
I received this in one of my Beauty Native Boxes which I highly recommend
checking out for some more lovely products like this!

Eslor Firming Collagen Day Cream
Received a few of these samples in one of my Violet Boxes and am really
enjoying the brand.

Eslor Chlorophyll Lifting Mask
Another nice mask which made me feel nice and pampered.
My skin felt so smooth and fresh after this one!

Eslor Botanical Peeling Gel
This gel is actually an exfoliant which I found quite interesting.
I don't think I've ever used a gel the same as this one. An interesting product.
Again, hard to tell how beneficial it was though with just one sample.

Sukin Purifying Facial Masque
This one was probably my favourite. Sukin is one of my all time fav skin care
brands to date and their masques are worth a try!
Review! (Buy!)

Zk'in Certified Organic Line Smoothing Serum
I have been hearing a lot about this brand lately and was happy to receive a few samples
in my recent Bellabox. This serum was really nice and I am looking forward to using the
second one up!
