BEAUTORIUM

~  Beautorium  ~

Beautyheaven Rewards

(December 2015!)

http://www.beautyheaven.com.au

One of those little things which make your day just that little bit better and more exciting than bills
arriving in the mail is when Beautyheaven open their (virtual) doors to their online shopping event
that is Beautorium. Where loyal members (such as moi) can redeem their points accumulated
from participation on the site for beauty products available in the 'shop'! Hooray!

As usual I have absolutely NO self control (I did try, really I did!) and spent all of my points.
Yep my balance is back to literally zero! Time to get busy again with reviews, comments and
referrals for the next event rumoured to be held in April 2016. Too exciting! :)

Enough babble, onto the items I spent all my points on...

If you know me than you know I am Kora obsessed! I love the range of certified organic products
and ingredients. They feel so nice on the skin. I am so happy to have been able to pick up this
body wash for 750 points. It is a good 150ml and retails for $37.50. On the pricier side for a body
wash so very happy to have picked it up for free! There were also a few other Kora products in
the shop, however I didn't have enough points to splurge on them all. Hopefully they will still be
available in April. This one has been added to my Kora collection of Day & Night Cream &

MOR Pepperberry & Cardamon Hand & Body Wash
Ah MOR is such a luxury brand to me. I have always found their products to be ultra rich and
always smell ah-mazing! This one is no exception with the blend of Pepperberry and Cardamon
smelling very sweet and like black berries! Reminds me a little of Lush Snow Fairy. :)
On the steep side at 500 points, however quite a large 350ml which should last a while.

Schick Intuition Coconut Milk & Almond Oil Razor
This product is no stranger to me having first used it in a trial for Beautyheaven and then continuing
to stock up on it in a past few Beautoirums. This is my all time favourite razor! The smell is so
yummy and creamy as it the formulation of the moisture block which makes shaving so smooth and
gentle and easy! I just love it! This cost me 260 points. (Review!)

T.B.N. Nail Colour in Little Miss Mila & In The Nude
There where quite a few other shades to choose from in the shop but I ended up settling on one of
my fav classic hot barbie pinks and a nude as I am slowing creeping into liking that kind of neutral
hue. Only 50 points each, a complete steal and I cannot wait to paint with these!

Romantic Colour Eyeshadow Palette by T.B.N.
I almost didn't get this last product, however I spent all of my points on the very last day of
Beautorium and thought what the hell why not? At only 100 points I couldn't resist. There was also
another colour variation available which were all black/greys which I feel would be a little too
dramatic for me so I decided to go with these gorgeous soft pinks, burgundy, charcoal and white
highlight. I have not tried any products from TBN before so I cannot wait! So much fun to be had I
am sure!

Bonus FREE Samples!
If you are a regular BH member or Beautoirum alumni then you would be well aware Beautyheaven
always throw in a few free samples with your order and this time around these are the ones which
came in my haul. So very happy with them and of course super excited to try some newbies! Woo!

Watch my Beautorium Haul here! :)

FEBRUARY EMPTIES

~ February Empties! ~

Well wasn't that a short month?! I can't believe February is already over. I had forgotten
there was only 28 days this month! I had a questionable looking freakle removed from my
stomach on Friday, so needless to say I am more than happy to let this month go and move on!

I feel like I got through a lot of products this month. Probably more than I ever have,
so I am exciting to bin all of this stuff and start fresh for March and maybe pick up a few
newbies to reward my efforts. Cos that's just what I need.... more stuff!
It's a vicious cycle and a hard core addiction. No, I don't need help.
Much...

Full Size!

Garnier Anti-Ageing Brightening Toner
I have always had good experiences with Garnier products and I loved this one too.
Tightened my pores and removed excess makeup like a pro!

Garnier Fructis Anti-Frizz Smoothing Serum
This reminds me of my L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil as the formula is the same and they
both work brillantly. This is just a slightly more affordable option. I recommend it.
Review! (Buy!)

Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo
I liked this, as always it makes my hair feel nice and soft, smooth and moisturised.
I prefer a prettier packaged and more interesting smelling product when it comes
to shampoo though.
Review! (Buy!)

Pantene Pro-V All Day Smooth Light Weight Creme
This product detangles your hair. I didn't really need it, but it was light weight
and made my hair smell nice inbetween washes. (Buy!)

Pure Zone Foot Therapy Exfoliating Foot Scrub
This had a nice and light Tea Tree and Eucalyptus scent to it which was refreshing.
However the 'scrub' was pretty much non exsistent and didn't do a whole lot of scrubbing.

Vaseline Intensive Care Hand & Nail Lotion
My nails tend to split and get quite soft it I don't use some kind of nail hardening
product. This made them much stronger and my skin felt nourished when I used this.

Dove Nourishing Oil Care Nutri-Oil Serum
Much the same as the Garnier Fructis & L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil, this hair serum
combats frizz and makes hair appear shiny and sleek without weighing it down or making
it greasy. Really enjoyed this one as well. (Buy!)

Nailene Clear Top Coat
This was a great clear top coat. Nothing negative to say. Did the job so I would
happily re-purchase. (Buy!)

NP Set Black Mascara
Handy, easy to use mascara. A nice dark black shade with a fuss free wand which
coated my lashes with easy without clumping or drying out. Have used this to death! (Buy!)

Mitchum Pure Fresh Clinical Deodorant
Brilliant deodorant! This reminds me of my all time fav, the Rexona Clinical.
Both give 48hr protection and actually live up to their claims. Worth the exxey price tag!
Review! (Buy!)

Sample Tubes/Bottles!

Goldwell Kerasilk Shampoo & Conditioner
I often get bored using the same shampoo & conditioner every single time I wash my hair,
so I tend to use something different for each wash. This was a nice change and happy to get
rid of a few more sample bottles. This was nice and I would happily purchase full size.

Joico K-Pak Revitaluxe Treatment
Very luxe to use and I really did notice a difference in my hair straight away after
blow drying. A real hair treat! (Buy!)

Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Conditioner
I enjoyed using this along with the shampoo bottle, however I am looking forward to moving
on to another brand for a while.
Review! (Buy!)

Pantene Pro-V Aqua Light Conditioner
Nice, would purchase full size once I run out of the 123,758493 other bottles
of conditioner I currently own. Sheesh! (Buy!)

Nivea Men Clear Effect Gel Moisturiser
Stole this one off hubby who wasn't into using it. The scent was really strong
and manly, but I didn't mind it and the gel texture was fun. It did make my skin
feel a little tight afterwards so I found myself applying a facial moisturiser over the top.

MOR Body Butter in 'Lychee Flower'
Super stong scent, but oh so gorgeous! Beautiful body butter. Want MOR!
(Buy!)

Sample Sachets!

WEN Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner
This was my first time using any kind of product from WEN. I received this in a recent
Bellabox and was looking forward to trying it as I've heard rave reviews about it and it is
quite expensive to buy full size. However I couldn't really get into it. It didn't lather which I
perfer when washing my hair. I'm just not into shampoo & conditioners combined.

Ayana Organics Baby Butter
This was a nice and very thick cream. Smelt lovely too.

Maybelline Better Skin Foundation
Already had this full size, but received this in a previous Bellabox.
Love it and use it regularly!
Review! (Buy!)

Natio Renew Line & Wrinkle Day Cream SPF 15
Loved this! I'm not sure how much it did for my lines and wrinkles as it is hard to tell
with a small sachet, however it smelt divine and I enjoyed using it. (Buy!)

Avon Advance Techniques Moroccan Argan Oil
Felt oily in my hands but didn't make my hair oily. I liked this and is the same
as any other hair oil already mentioned in this empties post.

Avon Advance Techniques Daily Shine Conditioner
Had to use this with more conditioner from another bottle as the sachet just didn't
contain enough for one hair wash. But seemed nice enough.

Avon ANEW Vitale Night Cream
I love using night creams, so this was a nice different one to try for a little
change. Would have to use long term to see results though.

Sanctum Hydrating Gel Mask
Use many facial masks this month. Or so it felt! I have been getting into the habit
of lathering one on and then bathing the kids whilst it sits there and dries.
I received this in one of my Beauty Native Boxes which I highly recommend
checking out for some more lovely products like this!

Eslor Firming Collagen Day Cream
Received a few of these samples in one of my Violet Boxes and am really
enjoying the brand.

Eslor Chlorophyll Lifting Mask
Another nice mask which made me feel nice and pampered.
My skin felt so smooth and fresh after this one!

Eslor Botanical Peeling Gel
This gel is actually an exfoliant which I found quite interesting.
I don't think I've ever used a gel the same as this one. An interesting product.
Again, hard to tell how beneficial it was though with just one sample.

Sukin Purifying Facial Masque
This one was probably my favourite. Sukin is one of my all time fav skin care
brands to date and their masques are worth a try!
Review! (Buy!)

Zk'in Certified Organic Line Smoothing Serum
I have been hearing a lot about this brand lately and was happy to receive a few samples
in my recent Bellabox. This serum was really nice and I am looking forward to using the
second one up!

JANUARY EMPTIES

~ JANUARY EMPTIES ~
2015!

Um excuse me January? Yes you! Where did you just go?!
It's February 1st already and I feel like my taking a concious effort to use stuff up to
clean some space is finally starting to pay off as I feel like I did good this past month! :)

I can't wait to throw away all this rubbish!
So let's get into it!

Washes & Scrubs!
Vagisil Feminine Wash
Vagina's naturally clean themselves, so I don't agree with this product's idea for the need
to balance the pH levels, 'down there'. However, as a regular body wash it smelt alright.

Sukin Foaming Face Cleanser
Loved this! Kept my moody skin clear from blemishes and didn't dry it out or irritate it.
Foamed up beautifully. Perfect cleanser!

Avon Clear Skin Invigorating Cleansing Cream Scrub
If you want a nice strong scrub, then this is it! My skin can handle it and seems
to benefit from it as I could feel a big difference in the smoothness of my skin after each use
because it just removed all of my dead skin on the surface of my face so easily.
Top stuff!

No Name Christmas Bubble Bath
Was gifted this at Christmas. Nice smell and made some decent bubbles!

Nivea Men Clear Effect Volcanic Mud Foam Face Wash (Sample)
Claimed this back off my man as he wasn't using it, so I took it upon myself to use it up.
Not a big fan though. It is heavily fragranced and does not foam up at all!
Leaves my skin feeling (literally!) squeeky clean which feels awful!

Moisturisers!
Dessert Treats Banana Split Body Frosting
Yuk, hated the smell of this and so happy to see it gone!

Trilogy Very Gentle Moisturising Cream
Super hydrating and the formula is a bit thick. Great night cream and used on my dry feet
and knees. Did a super job at softening my skin!

MOR Body Butter in Italian Blood Orange (Sample)
Wasn't all that keen on this scent. I prefer other MOR body butters over this one.
Formula is lovely though and just a tiny bit is very strong in terms of scent!

Olay Regenerist Eye Lifting Serum (Sample)
Was pretty happy with this cream. I have some crows feet and this seemed
to make them go away a little temperarily.

Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream (Sample)
I really enjoyed using this both day and night. Felt really nice on my skin!
Hopefully it has made me look more youthful. Can't really tell from a small sample pot.

Hair Stuff!
Garnier Olia After Colour Care Conditioner
One of the best conditioners I've ever used!
Would buy a box of dye just to use this. It's amazing and makes my hair feel and
look so shiny like a hair model's!

Paul Mitchell Moisture Mist
Sprayed this in my hair after washing and towel drying.
Not sure I noticed any difference...

Body Products!
OMG! I LOVE this toothpaste! Best tasting and love the grainy mint in it.
Yum, so good! Not so sure it does a whole lot in terms of whitening though, but what does
unless you get your teeth professionally whitened at the dentist?

So refeshing! Loved this scent and did a good job at keeping my smelling good all day.

Samples!
Care You Love Persian Rose Face Moisturiser
A nice product. No complaints. I wouldn't rule out purchasing this once I'm eventually low on
facial moisturiser! (Not anytime soon!)

x3 Vagisil Wipes
Featured these in my past few months of Empties! I swear, I think I've finally used them all!

x2 La Mav Wrinkle Smoothing Antioxidant Rich Nightly Repair Nectar
Full size, this is a super expensive product, so I doubt it would be within my budget to justify
purchasing. Hard to tell if my skin benefited from these two small vials. It felt super greasy on my
skin, however the scent was nice.

A'Kin Pure Radiance Rosehip Oil
This was quite runny and a bit of a mess to use out of a sachet. However I did actually
notice a difference in the appearance of the stretch marks on my stomach from my 2 pregnancies
after just one use! I lathered up my belly after showering and the next morning the marks had
faded. I was really surprised as nothing has worked so fast and well before!

A'Kin Rose & Geranium Pure Facial Creamy Cleanser & Toner
I really liked this and got about 3 uses out of the satchet. Smell, feel, result, everything was just
nice! Want to buy this now!

Planet Eve Exfoliator
Recieved this in my Beautorium order recently and managed to squeeze out 2 uses.
Very gentle for an exfoliant. Felt very moisturising which was nice.

Kenzo Amour Perfume Vial
Had forever, smelt ok. Not my favourite though.

Mariah Carey 'Forever' Perfume Vial
Found this in the bottom of a draw and used it up quickly!
Nice, would purchase this!

NOVEMBER EMPTIES

~ NOVEMBER EMPTIES ~

OTHER MONTHLY EMPTIES FROM 2014!

~  FULL SIZE! ~
Organic Care Vanilla Ylang Ylang Moisturising Body Wash
Loved this! Massive bottle which I shared with my kids. (Hubby wasn't a fan of the scent, but
he's a guy so pfft, what does he know! ;) ) Smells soooo yummy! Would buy again!

Dessert Treats Tropical Hula Body Lotion
Happy to finally be using up my Dessert Treats products I've had for forever!
This was ok, but I wouldn't want to use or purchase it again. Very, very sweet scented
and apparently you can taste it! Ew, no!

Aroma Body Essence Tea Tree Oil Walnut Shells Foot Scrub
This was too runny for my liking and not rough enough to do much scrubbing to my feet,
even though most would probably say it is quite course, I like to really give my feet a good
scrub, so I used this as a body scrub as well.

~ SAMPLES! ~
John Frieda Frizz-Ease Smooth Start Shampoo & Conditioner
I actually really did notice a difference after using these! My hair was a whole
lot less frizzy once left to dry naturally. Not many products can do that to my hair,
so props to this stuff!

Eminence Organic Skin Care Naseberry Body Lotion & Sweet Red Rose Whip Moisturiser
Loved these! Gorgeous and creamy! Smelt great too!

Pantene Pro-V Aqua Light Shampoo
I have a billion little bottles of these Pantene shampoo & conditioners!
They're ok, but I've used many other brands and products which feel much nicer.

Schwarzkoph Brilliance Colour-Shine Conditioner
I found this laying around my bathroom and assume it's left over from a hair dye job
some time ago! Thought I'd better use it up! It was pretty good too!

La Mav Hydra Calm Cleansing Creme & Bio VA5 Daily Wrinkle Smoothing Creme
Love the cute little sample pots these came in. I enjoyed the product as well. Felt
very luxurious and calming.

MOR Belladonna Body Butter
Very strong in scent, but gorgeous none the less!

EmerginC Scientific Organics Kombucha Cleanser & Phytocell Cream
Lovely products to use. Shame they're such small samples!

Eslor Soothing Refiner & Cleanser
Quite a nice product. Managed to get a few uses out of the sachet.

Vagisil Feminine Wipes
Yeah, so these make great wipes for cleaning up underneath my son's messy high chair
and other grubby messes left behind my 2 little terrors!

Ah! So this mess makes a little more room for the damage I've recently done
online and in store!

Make sure you are following this blog so you don't miss out on future posts featuring
some of my new additions + much more fun stuff!

OCTOBER EMPTIES

~  O c t o b e r    E m p t i e s !  ~

Herbal Essences
Honey I'm Strong Conditioner
Loved the smell of this! I am obsessed with anything honey scented and this
didn't disappoint. One of my favs, this and the Herbal Essences Hello Hydration!
Will definitely buy again!

The only thing I didn't like about this shampoo bottle was that it is quite small
at 200ml. But the product itself is pretty amazing. I loved how it made my hair
feel super soft and nourished. Perfect for my dry, frizzy hair.

Aroma Body Essence
Aromatherapy Foot Lotion
With all the moisturisers I have patiently waiting in line for their turn to
be opened and used up I was happy to get through this one.
With it being Spring/Summer and getting hot I'm not longer wearing socks to bed
like I did in the Winter when it was easy to apply a foot cream before bed and have it
soak it through the night. Now with it being too hot I've just been applying this to the
tops of my feet and around my ankles.
Pretty nice product, made in Australia too.

In Style Honey Peach
Nail Polish Remover
The scent of this smells nothing like Honey or Peach.
This was a cheapie bought from a $2 shop yonks ago which is fine
when it comes to nail polish removers, I'm not fussed on the brand so
long as it does the job, which this did, so happy to buy again.

Avon Hand
Care Complex
This had a nice consistency which I really liked as it was a bit runnier than
most other hand creams so it was easier to massage into the skin and didn't
feel sticky or too thick like I couldn't touch anything afterwards.

MOR Mini Body Butters
Snow Gardenia & Marshmallow
Even though these are only 5g samples the scent they produce is super
strong! My husband wasn't a fan, but I absolutely LOVED these!
The Snow Gardenia in particular was a fav this month. The smell is divine!
The Marshmallow is nice too and reminds me of pink musk stick lollies!

Colgate Total
Advanced Whitening Toothpaste
Nothing bad to say about this product.
Worked well to give my teeth and mouth a good clean.
Has a pleasant taste and does an alright job at whitening, but nothing to rave about.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost
Water Gel
Somehow I ended up with 2 of these sample tubes.
The first one I used up in last months empties.
Great product I would be happy to purchase.
Just concentrating on using what I have first though.

Manicare & BYS
All In One & Top Coat
Old and discoloured yellow instead of clear.
Time to go!
Both worked well and I would repurchase.

JULY EMPTIES

~ JULY EMPTIES ~

Physicians Formula Eyeshadow Trio in Baked Smokes
Used this to death and loved it! Bit more into browns and golds now
a days, but this little trio has served me well. A beautiful shimmery
mix of black and greys. Lovely quality!

Schwarzkopf Taft Styling Gel
Have to admit, I had a fair bit of help with using up this product with my man.
So I can vouch that this product works for both men & women! :)

Indio Renew Cream
(Sample)
Got quite a few uses out of this little tube as a day and night cream.
Quite a nice cream, I enjoyed using it.

Avon Clearskin Purifying Astringent
I've been sooo good at remembering to use a toner over the past few months!
Ever since I dove into my mountain load of products stashed away to see what
I should be using up to have something for these empties posts where I
found about 5 different barely used and un opened bottles of toners!
Doh! Always the best intentions when I purchase, then I get lazy or forget....
Loved this one. Avon products are so affordable and always seem to agree
with my skin and do a great job.

Neutrogena Acne Wash Foaming Scrub in Pink Grapefruit
(Sample)
Once I've shrunk down my product supply a bit more I would really love
to stock up on this one! The smell, ahh!! It is sooo good! The transparent light
pinky, peach, grapefruit colour is so pretty and it has a good amount of scrub
in it.

Mor Body Butter in Belladonna
(Sample)
Who doesn't love MOR products!?
This was such a small little tube it didn't take very long to use up.
The smell is divine, such a beautiful, luxurious body butter to treat
yourself with.

Mukti Botanical Cleansing Lotion
(Sample)
Only got one use out of this tiny pot, it felt highly moisturising
and creamy. A lovely feeling, smooth lotion which left my skin feeling
really soft and smooth afterwards.

Avon Foot Works Cracked Heel Relief Cream
One of my top moisturising creams which I recommend especially
during the winter months as it's extra thick and perfect for dry, hard
and/or cracked skin.
More about this product...

Bed Head Tigi Sugar Dust
A starchy, dry texture perfect for slightly greasy hair.
Revives and gives you a fresh, clean feeling when applied and worked in.

Biore Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser
Great for greasy, acne prone skin as I found this quite drying.
My skin is acne prone, but not overly greasy, so I only used this a few times a
week as it was just too drying to use everyday for my skin. Foams up nicely though.

Dove Beauty Cream Bar
An all time, classic beauty staple and firm favourite.
Doesn't dry your skin out and lathers up into such a beautiful, soft lather.
Long lasting and smells subtle and clean.
More about this product...

Australis Black Eyeliner Pencil & Prestige Black Eyeliner Pencil
Dug these eyeliner pencils out of my collection and decided it was time
to say goodbye. They've had a good long life with me, but sadly many
other new and exciting rivals are competing for my attention.
These have both been superb pencil liners. Easy to work with,
I would repurchase again once I run low again.

Love Candy!

March 2014 Favourites!

Clean & Clear Morning Burst Facial Scrub
-
This stuff smells amazingly, beautifully refreshing first thing in the morning!
I can't get enough of the citrus scent. It's so, so nice. The formula is a grainy, golden, shimmery yellow which gently exfoliates your skin with caffeine, lemon and papaya.
Has been keeping my skin completely clear and feeling soft, smooth and clean.

MOR Sugar Rose Tiger Lily Salt & Sugar Body Scrub
-
There is nothing I love more than a good all over body scrub either in the shower or bath. It makes me feel super clean and refreshed. I feel like my skin easily builds up dead skin cells, so I like to exfoliate almost every night. I have only just started to use this, but already it is a firm favourite.  I LOVE MOR products, they are always so beautiful, almost too good to use. The magenta colour of this tub is adorable and the gold label makes it appear royal. :) I'm sure I don't need to tell you how amazing the scent is. It is like a huge bunch if perfume scented flowers. Loveeeee!  ♡

Rimmel London Apocolips Lip Lacquer in Stellar
-
As you can see, this is the moist amazing, bright, moist shade. I love wearing this everyday or night if on the rare occasion I get to go out. It just brightens up my whole face, makes me look more human, less tired and alive!

Napoleon Perdis DeVine Goddess Lipstick in Serene
-
First off, I love the packaging of this. It's so different and I love how it is clear and acrylic.  The shade is something totally wild, daring and on trend as purple lips are very hot right now.  I feel like this shade really suits my dark eyes and dark hair too.

Bondi Sands Summer Bronze Instant Tan
Light/Medium
-
I was lucky enough to win a whole collection of Bondi Sands goodies not long ago and have been having a lot of fun playing with and trying them out this past month.
I'm loving this product in particular because it is a wash off formula. Meaning at the end of the day I can just wash off the tan in the shower and start fresh the following day. It dries quickly and isn't messy. It doesn't streak and applied evenly and looks so natural. I'm really impressed!

MAC Mineralize Concealer in NW20
-
I am a big lover of MAC. I think their products are top notch, but sadly as they're so over priced here in Australia,  I only own a precious few of their products.
This is one of those products. I was actually very fortunate to receive this in my Blogstar prize pack.  It is a product I had wanted for ages and it is the perfect shade for my skin thankfully. It does a flawless job at concealing any dark circles and aids in contouring to a T. I would love to eventually splurge on the matching foundation and powder. I've heard mixed reviews about them, but would love to try them out for myself.

Max Factor Eyeshadow in Auburn Envy
-
This was included in one of my recent posts about what I keep in my makeup bag.
I use this pretty much daily as the shade is so perfect for everyday wear and can also be build up for a more dramatic night look. It doesn't crease and is such a stunning colour.

OPI Nail Polish in Mod About You
-
This is my 'Go To' nail polish. The colour is so classic and classy.
I adore it. It girlie,  yet subtle and works well when doing a at home french mani or pedi and dries quickly too.

Pantene Pro-V Ice Shine Daily Rinse Off Treatment
-
I trialed and reviewed this as part of Beautyheaven's trial team this past month and I have to say, it has made a noticeable difference to my hairs appearance and texture.

What were your beauty favs for March?
