PURE SMILE

TEETH WHITER IN YOUR LUNCH HOUR

WITH A PURE SMILE TREATMENT!

If you have been reading my blog for the past two years then you would know I have kept it no
secret about my constant teeth whitening battle. I am a coffee drinker. I wouldn't say I am an addict,
however those coffee beans stain and yellow your teeth over time no matter how good your oral
hygiene routine is.

I have been drinking coffee for about twelve years and during this time I have used whitening
toothpastes and gels, foams, whitening mouth wash and toothbrushes promising a whiter polished
shine as well as at home DIY whitening kits. Some of these methods I did find to be slightly effective
and I did see some improvement particularly with the teeth foam, however I had never, ever gone in
for any kind of teeth whitening treatment session before until I was recently offered to go to a
60 minute treatment session with Pure Smile. Getting a professional whitening treatment is
something I have always wanted to do, however just never found the time to get around to actually
booking in for one. How could I say no?

Upon arrival I was greeted by the lovely and very friendly Veronika at their Garden City kiosk who
quickly made me feel at ease and welcomed me to my home for the next hour in the very spacious
and comfy white egg chair! (See above).

Getting straight down to business Veronika presented me with two different sized mouth pieces to
choose from to wear throughout my treatment. The difference between each of the plastic clear mouth
guards was only slight, however I went for the smaller option as I didn't feel my mouth was really on
the larger size.. :)

Before inserting the mouth plate which covered both the top and bottom teeth, the whitening
treatment gel was to first be applied to the front eight teeth on the top and bottom. The pen appeared
similar to those at home whitening pens you can purchase yourself. However ended up being much
more powerful when activated underneath the led blue light for an hour! (See before & after images
at the end of this post). Veronika held up a mirror for me to apply this liberally myself.

Once my teeth were nice and coated the mouth plate was inserted into my mouth and I was given
some very funky 70's disco large red glasses to wear to protect my eyes from the super bright led
light throughout the treatment. The whitening machine was then put up to my mouth and at the end
I was required to gently just hold onto it in between my teeth so the light could activate the gel
throughout my four 15 minute sessions.

After the timer beeped to conclude each 15 minute session, I again used the treatment whitening pen
to apply some fresh gel to my front 16 teeth. Pure Smile have thought about the impatient and easily
bored person here as there were also some headphones readily available to wear if I wanted to hook
my phone up and listen to some music.

A few selfies and some precious alone time later (With two toddlers alone time is a precious a rare
thing!) it was time to take out the mouth guard and examine the results! I have to admit after just
over 60 minutes of having my mouth forced open it was a relief to finally take it out! If was a bit
difficult to conclude the results when I first looked into the hand held mirror right after taking off
the glasses I'd been wearing for an hour and only seeing red! However my eyes got to have a little
rest as the final stage of the treatment progressed.

To conclude the whitening treatment I was presented with a new mouth guard with some white
squishy inserts in it which was a quick fluoride treatment which tasted minty, however I cringed
each time I had to swallow my saliva as there was nowhere in which to spit until the very end!
I can understand why we wear a nice large bib during this whole process and thank goodness for
all the tissues Veronika so kindly provided me with as well as a nice refreshing bottle of PureSmile
branded bottled water to rinse with and take home with me. :)

So in the end I couldn't wait to see how much whiter and brighter my teeth were! I was shown this
Bleaching Shade Guide below and as you can see, my teeth went from around an S28-S30 all the way
up to an estimated S10-S8! That's around 8 to 9 shades whiter! I am thrilled with this result and to be
honest, I knew my teeth weren't the best in terms of being bright and white, however I had no idea
they were in fact this discoloured! I was slightly horrified and don't EVER want to go back to that
awful yellow tone again. And all mainly just from drinking coffee all these years. I have never
smoked nor do I even drink any alcohol or wine! Coffee, why must you be so so bad but oh so good?

GIFTORIUM

~  Myer  ~

GIFTORIUM 2015!
Find 'Wonderful' by shopping Giftorium online! - http://www.myer.com.au/shop/mystore/gifts

Yesterday on the 10th November I was invited to attend the annual unveiling of the Myer Christmas
animated window displays in Brisbane's CBD. I have in previous years taken my family in to see the
displays, however I have not had the chance to explore the past two years since having my youngest,
my life has gotten a little crazy, so it was nice to be able to wander around with my two toddlers in
tow .....well mostly, mostly my two year old, Rory just kept on wanting to run away from me and
explore on his own! Yep fun, NOT ALWAYS, just trying to make it through without losing a child
and keeping my sanity (To which as my sister who kindly tagged along with me said 'I think my
sanity is still at Myer.' Yep, mine too!

The event begun at around 11am where we were greeted upon an inviting display of personalised
jars of Nutella and gift bags. As we lined up I spotted mine right away and I have to admit, it was
a pretty cool thing to have my own name displayed on my very own jar of Nutella! Oh YUM!

Nutella was not the only personalised gift available throughout Giftorium. This year Myer has
thought outside the box and really done a great job at making this Christmas something extra
special. Who doesn't love their name on a keyring, xmas stocking or mug? If you want to give your
loved ones something extra special this Christmas, be sure to check out the range of gifts you can
have personalised with their name or initial for that added touch!

If you have little ones who need a photo with Santa, even though you pay a premium price, I think it
is worth it as I took my eldest for her first two Christmas photos and they far stand out from the
more convenient/cheaper ones we have had since. The whole experience isn't just waiting in line for
a photo with impatient kids in tow. There is a whole room dedicated to the kids when you go to meet
Santa at Myer. You can now even book your time with Santa in advance to skip the queue! YES!

The set up is full on and is really magical including Santa's Express train FREE for the
kids to ride over and over again and the staff are really fun and make the whole experience really
enjoyable for them. There is also a photographer there to take pix which you have the opportunity
to purchase if you like or even instead of a Santa photo if like mine now they are a bit older get a
bit freaked out when it comes to sitting on his knee. A really fun (scream free) alternative! :)
Rory (2) & Imbi (4) have got their golden tickets & are ready to ride the train!

Don't forget to check out the spectacular Christmas window displays down at Myer's Queen St Mall
if you're in Brisbane. This years animated theme is based on the children's book 'Little Dog & The Christmas Wish' by Corrine Fenton and illustrated by the mega talented Robin Cowcher.
You won't be disappointed! You can shop the book here

If you would like to learn more about this years Christmas animated windows, then be sure to take a
peek over at Myer's official blog from Melbourne's official opening featuring the always flawless
Jennifer Hawkins! Click here!

Do you have any special activities you & your family do for Christmas each year?

THE DOLL CONNECTION

~  The Doll Connection  ~
Blogger/Vlogger Event
#thedollconnection

Blogger events in Australia seem to be growing as the world of beauty, fashion & lifestyle
blogging and vlogging grow at a rapid rate. Since beginning my Youtube channel way back in
2010 I have seen the handful of #beautyguru's expand from what only felt like the US in the
beginning to now having quite a few big names right here at home in Oz.

The Doll Connection was held here in Brisbane yesterday on the 24th of October at The Stock
Exchange Hotel in the city which I had never been before and was also very keen to head from the
south side over to the city for the day as I don't often get the chance to and I LOVE THE CITY! :)

Since this was my first time attending a blogger event and not ever having met any of the other
beauties attending in real life my anxiety was on a high note but I still really wanted to go to network
and meet many of the beautiful and talented ladies whom I have connected with online, but never in
the flesh. So a big massive 'Thank you!' goes out to my fellow blogging sis who agreed to come along
to keep me company and she said she ended up having a great time and she even won a prize! (A
huge basket of goodies from Harvest Garden!).
Me & my sis! #besties

My sister's generous gift basket of goodies she won from The Harvest Garden!

The brands who attended the event included -
V10 Plus, Wardrobe Warriors, Arbonne, BotanicES, The Harvest Garden, Sunsense, Cocosun.....
The ladies from Cocosun!                                       Me with the gorgeous Rhiannon from Arbonne!

Additional brands/companies who donated product for goodie bags/prizes included -
Lush, Benefit Cosmetics, Tanezze Australia, Mr.Blanc, Hydralyte, Summer Salt Body, Kosmea
Australia, Beginning Boutique, Plunkett, Eye Of Horus, Scunci, VS Sassoon, Furless, People For
Plants, Sukin, Apollo's Day Spa, NYX, Rimmel London, People For Plants, Pukka Teas....

So many amazing companies to meet, learn about and try their products!
I was especially excited to actually meet the lovely people from both BotanicES & The Harvest
Garden to whom I have recently been working with. :)
Meeting the very lovely Christelle from BotanicES!           The Harvest Garden's delicious display!

I feel so lucky with the gigantic goodie bag and all the goodies we received!
Here is a pic of everything I lugged back to the car with me!
Goodie bag haul video coming soon! :)

I was lucky enough to win a few super fun prizes as well! :)

And of course getting out of my comfort zone (I am naturally very shy!) and making sure I made
a big effort to meet, chat and take selfies with as many attendees as possible. Unfortunitely I didn't
get pix with everyone I met (next time!) and I cannot wait to catch up with so many of them again!
From top left to bottom right - Celiaspainmua, Rachelleea, DaniTheGirl_xo,
BrittanyJones, Kels_Sarah, Pynkbunnyy & A Bella Adventure!

Have you ever attended a blogger/vlogger event?
Were you at The Doll Connection yesterday?

MAC

~ M A C   T R E A T ~

CANDY YUM-YUM!

Ok, so there are sooo many reasons I HAD to break my 'no spending ban'
(since I already own about 400 lipsticks! Ok so it's more like 40 give or take, but ya know...)
and get this brand new pretty little baby.

1.) It's named after me! ;)
2.) It's my signature hot pink shade!
3.) Like all MAC lipsticks, it smells like vanilla, and you know how I love my vanilla scents!!
4.) Do I really need to justify this purchase anymore? I mean it's pink, it's a lipstick and
I was set loose with my husbands credit card.... who cares! The damage is done and
I couldn't be happier! :D

Last week my sister and I had a rare chance to go shopping together,
(since we have 5 kids between us, we took full advantage of this opportunity!)
and I have to say, it was the most fun I've had in too long honestly!

Here is Brissie, the shopping centre I most frequent had a major facelift recently and I
couldn't wait to check it out! It has basically doubled in size!
I was most excited to check out the brand new MAC store as well as Mecca Maxima,
Myer, Lush (which hadn't opened yet! *cries!* was dying to tick off some things from my
wish list from there! Big mistake Lush big mistake! You snooze, you lose!) and of course
the not so new Forever New store which always makes my eyes pop out of my head every time
I step in there with all of the beauty it contains! *mega drool!*

(Stay tuned for upcoming posts containing more of my purchases!)

CLOSE UP STICKY BEAK!

I barely EVER purchase MAC lippies because I can never justify the $39.00
So this good as gold treasure joins my only other lonely shade.
Girl About Town which is a slightly darker, most purply/pink shade.
Also gorgeous and I totally recommend checking it out!

While I was in MAC drooling over all of their amazing lipstick shades, I made
a mental note of which ones I wanted next. Apart from the obvious crazy beautiful purple
(Violetta) which stood out majorly from all the others, St Germain which was a
bubblegum light barbie pink colour caught my eye and I can't stop thinking about it!

I think I am in love with a lipstick! What is wrong with me?!
Oh that's right, I'm a beauty addict! Everything is OK! :D

SWATCH!

What are your MAC lippy recommendations?
Tell me below so I can keep dreaming! ;)
