CURL SECRET

~ VS SASSOON ~

I have to say I am quite in love with my Curl Secret!
Never before have I seen or used a curling tool quite like this!
The design is so different and unique and it works so incredibly well at creating strong,
defined and lasting curls in three different sizes.
You can create soft, medium or loose curls depending on the setting you choose.
It provides you with two heating setting levels to cater for fine or thick, course hair.
I personally prefer the heat setting on my styling tools in general to be the hotter the better!
I know this is not ideal for any hair type, however it just saves time and makes my hair easier to tame.
My hair type is long, (not as long as it was though as I got sick of it last night & gave myself a DIY chop!)
thick and prone to be frizzy and just generally difficult to manage, however I found it really easy using this tool!
The Curl Secret comes with it's own small cleaning tool which helps to keep the inside of the hair roller dust
hair and product free. The small pads attached to it can be easily removed to be washed and re-used easily.
When it comes to the overall design of the Curl Secret, I think it has been quite cleverly done.
It is unlike any other curling tool I have ever seen. The heating rod is completely tucked away so it is
pretty much impossible to burn yourself!

It comes complete with a dust/travel draw string storage bag to keep your wand safely in.
This comes in very handy when travelling or just to help keep it looking good as new when stored away safely.

You can honestly get away with using the Curl Secret without any extra hair products.
(Apart from a good heat protectant!) Hair sprays and gels are not required.
When using the Curl Secret I find my curls stay bouncy and barely loose their shape throughout the whole day!
If you're a Curl Secret first timer, then I highly recommend reading the instructions provided before you begin!
As this is not just your average hair curling wand, you might be thinking - "Wow! This looks complicated!"
However, practice really does make perfect because once you know how to use this it really is so simple
and quick to get amazing lust worthy curls! :)

SCUNCI UPDO CLIP

Scunci

~ Ultimate Updo Clip ~

Simple Step-By-Step Guide!
____________________________

#1
_______
You can create this look on either the left
or right side of your head or even in the
centre. Low or high, this look works well
whichever way you choose.

#2
_______
I have decided on a low bun on the left
side. Begin a loose, messy plait. The messier
and less care you take with this step will give you a softer
more textured effect.

#3
______
Wrap the plait around itself to create the
bun. This can be as loose or tight as you
like. Each way will result in a totally
different look. Both will work.

#4
______
Next hold your bun in place with your
fingers. Once you've decided where
you want to place the clip get your
Ultimate Updo Clip ready!

#5
______
I found the best place to insert the clip
is where the left over loose hair are from the
end of the plait.

#6
______
This Ultimate Updo Clip is stronger than it looks!
It will firmly hold your hair in place with just
the small bit at the top showing which
almost seems invisible on my dark hair anyway.

FUDGE URBAN

~ FUDGE URBAN ~

- HAIR RANGE -

Sea Salt Texturising Spray!
(FOR RAW "BEACH HAIR!")
First of all this product smalls so amazing!
It was the first thing I noticed when I first spritz it onto
my hair. It is light and smells lightly of caramel coconut to me.
The spray itself comes out more like a soft mist which I think
gives you more control over the amount you want in your hair
so you don't end up soaking it and not creating the texture
you're after. I found spraying a little of this onto the bottom half
of my hair with my hair flipped over my head and then
scrunched in worked the best at creating my desired look of
textured beach hair. I wasn't sure if this product was really
going to do a lot, but it really did great! My hair became
instantly full of texture and my waves became more beachy
and less pronounced. This product really does its job!!

Texture Junk Styling Paste!
(FOR NATURAL TEXTURE & CONTROL!)
This product is so much fun to work with!
The only person who ever uses styling paste around here
is my husband, so I was interested to give it a go!
You really only need a small amount to create, sculpt
and mold your hair into any style. My favourite way to
use this is when I am creating small, thin twists into my
hair style that I want to stay in place and not become undone.
This is also perfect for perfecting that slick back 'do' or
you know when you wrap a small amount of hair around
your pony tail to try to hide the elastic? Well this is perfect
for that! Is a smooth, thick consistency that smells incredible!

Hair Chalk Rough Piment!
(RED HOT PEPPER!)
I haven't had a lot of experience with hair chalks before.
I've seen endless selfies of people with gorgeous looking shades
and rainbow patterns and thought, WOW! That looks amazing!
So when I saw this bright, vibrant red shade I couldn't wait to
try it! The formula of the chalk seems to be a more softer
texture than I expected. I think I was expecting more of a
powdery, dry chalk. At first I wasn't sure how I was going to
apply it, but after a bit of mucking around I quickly got
into a rhythm with just rubbing small sections of my hair onto
the chalk a few inches toward the bottom of my hair shaft.
(See photos below!)
The chalk applied to my hair initially looking almost as bright as
you see it in the packaging below, but faded the more
I tried to rub it in and it seemed to want to rub off onto
my hands more than my hair. Maybe there is a simpler way?
Luckily the chalk easily washes off with water, not staining
me or my clothes! :)
I actually really love how the colour turned out on my hair.
I think this would probably look much brighter on blonde hair,
but still adds a funky touch of cool to my brunette hair too.
I would love to try other colours in my hair now I've had a
taste of this out there, brave, cool trend!

Have you ventured into the world of hair chalking?

Love Candy!

SCUNCI - THICK & FULL PONY!

~ SCUNCI ~

How-To Thick & Full Pony!

My Step-By-Step Guide!

Step #1
Gather the top section of your hair just the same as
you would if you were creating a half up half down hair style.

Step #2
Pick up your Scunci thick pony tool and place it
underneath the gathered section of hair.

Step #3
Gather the rest of your hair up around the tool like you would
to create a normal pony.

Step #4
Reach for your snagless Scunci hair tie provided in the kit
and tie it around all of your hair.

Step #5
The black elastic will hold not only your hair,
but the Scunci tool securely in place as well.

Step #6
Make sure you cannot see the Scunci tool poking through
your hair and you're good to go!

I love the look of fuller, thicker hair as I think it just makes it look so
much healthier and a little more glam. :)

I love sporting this look for something just a little bit different from my
normal routine.
