NEWA

~  Homedics NEWA  ~

Demo & Review!
Having just turned 32 last month, I am becoming more and more aware and dedicated to my skincare
routine like never before. Since my early 20's I have always taken care of my skin mainly to help
keep my acne under control. Now a days I still very much stick to my twice daily skincare routine,
changing up the products and trying new ones whenever I get the chance. I have come to know
through trial and error what works for my skin and what doesn't.

Within the past 3-4 years I have come to notice a few little crows feet appearing and the bags under
my eyes are ever more present then they once were post having my 2 kids and sleeping like a regular
person. Now that I am busy looking after them full time as well as helping my husband run our
business, my Youtube channel and this blog amongst all the other responsibilities of everyday life,
sleep has become about a 6 broken hour a night luxury.

Now that you have the low down in short of my skincare history let me introduce to you a device I
have been using over the past few months which I believe has made an significant difference to the
appearance and age of my skin.

Newa is a skin rejuvenation system has been recommended by dermatologists from all over the world
and is designed to lift, firm, smooth and tighten your skin, re-creating collagen within the skin.
Results can be seen as quickly as after the very first use with results being more obvious after a
 month.

The instructional DVD included with you Newa is great to watch before starting with the treatment
and gives you in depth detail on how to best use the Newa for ultimate long term effective results.

It is essential to use the Newa with the recommended Activator Gel for 5 sessions per week for one
month and then twice weekly there after. The Activator Gel not only helps to protect the skin, it
provides it's own facial treatment within itself giving your skin the ultimate at home spa collagen
facial completely un-invasive and pain free!

Once you apply the gel directly to the device you then turn on the Newa. The indicator light will turn blue and once you have pressed the lit up button again it will begin to start flashing. This indicates it is ready to go. It is important not to exceed the maximum four minute treatment session once a day. You will know you are done as the device with light up from blue to green & give you a little buzz.

Apply the Newa device to the skin in and rotate in small circular motions. The Newa device is
designed to be used upon six sections of your face. The upper and lower cheek area or each side and
then under the chin to help lift and firm the skin underneath on each side. There are two heating
levels. Newa recommends starting with the higher setting, however if it begins to feel too warm for
your liking, you can always just switch it down to the low heat setting. Slowly you will begin to feel
your skin warming up, however it did not get hot or uncomfortable for me. Moving the device in
larger circular motions on your face will tone down the feeling of heat a little if it does start to feel a
 bit too much.

Just like most facial treatments upon the end of each session you
skin will appear slightly reddened but shouldn't be sore, burning or irritated which mine was not.
I found the redness to not appear too bad on my face (I think my skin is pretty tough) and the redness
only lasted about half an hour before settling down again.

What I love most about the Newa Skin Rejuvenation System is that it does all of this in just four
minutes per session once a day! Being such a busy bee, this fits into my life with ease and has
definitely been worth the extra time spent.

Has your skin developed any wrinkles?
Do you include any anti-ageing skincare products in your skincare routine?

GLITTER NAILS

~ Nails Of The Day! ~

Turquoise & Silver

(Pinterest Inspired)

It's the easiest thing to completely loose all sense of time whilst browsing
on Pinterest! There is so much to see and be inspired by.
If you're ever stuck for blog post ideas, beauty, fashion and decor
updates, this is the place to go! I have often reluctantly dragged myself
away often feeling overwhelmed with new ideas that I often don't know
where to begin! Every time though, without a doubt, I am completely
motivated! I can't get enough of it!

(Cheeky sneak peek at a new decor item purchased over the weekend... who wants to see more?
I might do a haul/updated living room post?)

Recently I have been seeing a lot of beautiful fashion and makeup looks
featuring loads of glitter. It must be a big trend at the moment because it is
everywhere! Suits me fine, I have always been glitter obsessed.
There is no denying it's pure beauty.

To create this nail bling is actually much easier than you might think.
The only actual nail polish I used was a clear top coat!
The rest is just loose glitter purchased from a craft shop.

The clear polish acts like glue, sticking the loose glitter to you nail.
Finish with the clear polish over the top to secure the glitter helping it
stay in place and last longer as you would do with any other regular mani.

Done!

It's as simple as that!
I saw a really beautiful hair style using glitter too which I am keep
to recreate. Let me know if you'd like to see that!? :)

SCUNCI

~ New Scunci Goodies! ~

Everyday & Active 6 Pack Knotted Ponytailers

I love this bright, fun array of happy colours!
I have used this style of hair tie before and at first was skeptical if they'd
even hold my hair up, but they're actually really flexible and super strong!
I love that these are gentle on your hair and so comfortable to wear.

Everyday & Active No Damage Reflective Hair Ties

These are the perfect combination because not only do you get a generous
32 hair ties (because we all know they try to be like bobby pins & disappear!)
but they are also snag and damage free with no annoying metals in them.
I like them because they are thick so they don't stretch or snap like thinner
elastics always do, especially with thick hair, these are so strong and hold
my hair firmly in place all day. What's different about this cool new active
range are the light reflecting patterns which are the white bits in the hair tie
shown above. They look like the reflects on a bike light or guide post you see
along a road. Very cool especially worn in the sun or at night!

Expandable & No Slip Grip Headbands

I am so excited to wear these as I don't have a lot of brown or black hair
accessories.  I particularly am interested in the expandable
leopard print ones as the design of them is quite unique.
They can even fold up to fit into your pocket! Perfect for travelling
and hair emergencies!

Conair Fog Free Shower Mirror

I have never had a mirror in the shower before, so this will be interesting!
I'm not sure what I'll use it for... perhaps to apply a face mask or make sure I don't
miss a spot when washing my face or hair? I'm sure it will come in handy
none the less! It is fog free, so that is brilliant. It also has 3 strong, large
suction cups to firmly secure it in place. I think the handy little soap/razor
holder at the bottom is a clever little extra. :)

Watch for future hair styles and reviews with all of the above!

:)

What kinds of hair accessories do you like to wear?
Do you a shower mirror? If so, what do you use it for?

SCUNCI UPDO CLIP

Scunci

~ Ultimate Updo Clip ~

Simple Step-By-Step Guide!
____________________________

#1
_______
You can create this look on either the left
or right side of your head or even in the
centre. Low or high, this look works well
whichever way you choose.

#2
_______
I have decided on a low bun on the left
side. Begin a loose, messy plait. The messier
and less care you take with this step will give you a softer
more textured effect.

#3
______
Wrap the plait around itself to create the
bun. This can be as loose or tight as you
like. Each way will result in a totally
different look. Both will work.

#4
______
Next hold your bun in place with your
fingers. Once you've decided where
you want to place the clip get your
Ultimate Updo Clip ready!

#5
______
I found the best place to insert the clip
is where the left over loose hair are from the
end of the plait.

#6
______
This Ultimate Updo Clip is stronger than it looks!
It will firmly hold your hair in place with just
the small bit at the top showing which
almost seems invisible on my dark hair anyway.

The Finished Look!

NOTD

~ Winter Nails Of The Day! ~

(Chevron Inspired!)
Well.... It sort of worked!)

I love sporting adventurous looking nails.
I also love interesting textures and patterns and all of the
amazing amd creative art that can be created on such a small canvas.
Today I was inspired by the cold, rainy, winter day and since it has been
a while since I last posted a NOTD post, I thought,
why not cease this rare, creative moment!

I am definitely and obviously no expert when it comes to nail art!
This is my first try at the popular Chevron pattern that is so in style right now!
Not only on nail art. I have also noticed it predominantly dominaing home decor
and I am totally falling in love with it!
Omg, my style is modernising!

TOOLS!

STEP #1
Remove any old nail polish with soft cotton balls and nail polish remover.
Prep your nails and paint with the shade of your choice.

STEP #2
Once dry, cut thin strips of matte sticky tape.
(Matte seems to be less sticky and less likely
the peel off your nail colour)
Arrange them in a zig zag pattern across each nail.

STEP #3
Apply a clear top coat to your nails.
Start one nail at a time as the clear polish will dry quickly
and you will need it wet for the loose glitter to stick.

STEP #4
Place your finger face nail side down into your glitter pot.
This is a less messy method than sprinkling the glitter and having
it go everywhere. Your nail will come out looking completely covered
in glitter. Don't panic! :)

STEP #5
Repeat step #4 with the rest of your nails
and let dry for a minute or two.

STEP #6
Once dry you can use either some cotton tips or a fluffy brush to
dust away any excess glitter from around your nails.
Then carefully begin to peel off all of the matte
tape from each nail.

STEP #7
Secure any fall out of glitter and to prolong
your efforts, finish with a clear top coat.

Wala!
All done! :)

Mine is far from perfect, so don't stress if it doesn't turn
out super neat. You're the only one who'll see it up close enough to
see all the tiny little flaws.
It looks much better from a distance anyway!
