WELEDA

100% Certified Natural
Since 1921

http://www.weleda.com.au

Weleda have been around for nearly 100 years, so needless to say they really know their stuff when
it comes to skincare and other household, beauty products!

With a range from facial, skincare, oral health, deodorants and body oils to men's skincare, natural
medicine, hair care and a mother and baby range. Weleda have had a long time to think of the needs
of everyone, and they really have done it all.

If you're looking to jump on that all natural, cruelty free, ethically sourced product band wagon of
products for you and your family, then you have come to the right place. Weleda is all that and more.

Click below to hear my thoughts about Weleda and some of my new and favourite products from them!
(Like, comment & subscribe!)

Weleda Skin Food ($22.95 / 75ml)
When it comes to all rounder multi-use products which pretty much do it all. They are hard to come
by especially the really good ones. I can safely and confidently say Skin Food is definitely on of those
absolute winners!

Skin Food is packed full of all natural goodness which is fabulous for especially dry and even
sensitive or ageing skin. It is high is it's moisturising qualities and quenches you skin's thirst like a
dream. Can be used all over the body to smooth rough dry skin. I have been using this on my hands
lately as they have become SO dry over winter and were beginning to split the skin between my
thumb and fore fingers. :(

This is great for both men and women too. My husband has his own tube of this in the bathroom
and using this as his facial moisturiser daily. He has super dry skin which even gets flaky, but when
he uses Skin Food, it keeps his skin looking soft and flake free all day!

Weleda Firming Day Cream ($41.95)
I love changing up my skincare routine as often as I can and lately I have been using this Firming
Day Cream (along with the matching Night Cream below) and what I treat it has been!

This day cream is made for Mature Skin... to be honest, being almost 35, I'm not sure if my skin
really falls into this category just yet, maybe it does, who knows? Regardless of the rules, I have
just been loving this product!

With it's blend of delicious pomegranate seed oil and a bunch of natural oils from argan kernels &
macadamia nuts which work together to activate your skin's regeneration, soothes and protects the
skin. Firms and reduces fine lines, improves skin elasticity and smells so good as well!

Suitable for all skin types!

Weleda Firming Night Cream ($41.95)
There's nothing like that freeing feeling after a long day of work, coming home to a piping long hot
shower, removing the day's makeup and applying a generous layer of nourishing, soothing and
calmly scented night cream to get you relaxed for the evening. It is seriously one of my favourite
things and by far my most favourite time of the day!

Again, this product contains oils from one of my fav fruits, the pomegranate as well as borage seeds,
and argan kernels. It also has golden millet which aids in the skin's regeneration, helping us age
gracefully and helping our skin turn over new young cells, keeping our skin strong and protected.

Over the past year to two years I have felt like my skin has lost some of that firmness and elasticity,
particularly on my cheeks and upper neck under my chin. So finding a firming skincare duo I can
use morning and night I feel like it just perfect for me right now!

Weleda Age Revitalising Hand Cream ($18.95)
Going back to the beginning of this blog article to where I mentioned using Skin Food as my hand
cream. I also keep this one in my handbag at all times and use it multiple times throughout the day
whilst I am either at work or out and about doing everyday mum things!

Designed for mature skin, again it can't hurt right? Sometimes I feel like in general if a product is
designed for more mature skin, then it will probably work harder at anti-ageing my skin before it
really begins to look tired and worn out.

With a blend of primrose oil from the beautiful evening primrose flower, the oil works to get rid of
those dry rough spots on your hands which I have been getting on the tips of my fingers lately! It
also has oils from macadamia nuts to protect the skin sealing in the moisture into the skin for softer,
hydrated hands. There is also something in there called Centella which stimulates the collagen in
your skin which to be honest, I had never even thought about collagen in my skin past my face
before. So there is something to think about!

Weleda Citrus Deodorant ($21.95) & Weleda Citrus Roll-On Deodorant ($16.95)
If ever there is a deodorant scent, the citrus from lemon makes the most sense to me. Not only does
lemon smell super zesty and refreshing and clean. It's also a natural antiseptic which neutralises body
odours naturally without blocking your pores. It also doesn't contain any nasty chemicals a lot of
deodorants have in them including aluminium salts!

I have used other natural deodorants before with not many being all that effective. I have found
Weleda's Citrus roll-on deodorant in particular to be really good at keeping me fresh throughout the
day.  The roll-on provides 24hr protection however I only use it for about 10-12 hours before
showering again, so I can't say if it does last that long, but it does seem to last me the day no worries.

Weleda's citrus deodorant in the larger glass spray bottle is my favourite in term on packaging. Even
though it is glass, so I wouldn't carry this around with my in my handbag, it is a really nice product to
have at home to use throughout the day. I also love to use this as an air freshener throughout my
house. Particularly in my laundry where I have the cat's kitty litter tray and the bathrooms. It just
gives the rooms a lovely fresh boost, it's great!!

Weleda Salt Toothpaste ($9.95)
Just the name of this product sounds so cool to me! A salt toothpaste? That certainly is unique!
When you think about it though it makes perfect sense. The tiny salt particles work to gently buff
away the build up of plaque and tartar on your teeth giving them a good clean. Kind of like an
exfoliation on the skin, this works the same way only on the teeth. I love this idea, I think it is
genius!

You can rest assured this product is completely safe and effective for daily use as it was made
together with actual dentists. It doesn't contain any harmful chemicals like bleach, detergents or
preservatives. (It has enough salt in it for preservation).  It also does not contain fluoride.

The formula of this toothpaste does look a little weird. Reminds me of blended up red grapes. But it
does actually have a minty taste and scent to it, so it still feels much the same as any other toothpaste
you would normally use. I am absolutely LOVING this!

Weleda Children's Tooth Gel ($7.95)
When it comes to my kids and I am sure most parents are the same, you want what is safest and best
for them no matter the cost. Regardless, this children's tooth gel is completely affordable anyway,
which just makes it all the more appealing!

The pale blue formula contains no nasties, colourants, mineral oils or flavour enhances. It is naturally
flavoured with minty spearmint and fennel. It has calendula flower extract for healthy gums and silica
keeps teeth clean. My kids didn't even noticed I'd changed their toothpaste for a few days and then
they decided it was alright and gave me the OK to brush their teeth with it! Cheeky little
independents!

Again as with all Weleda oral care products, this product has been developed with dentists to ensure
safety and effectiveness for the health and wellbeing of you and your family.

Weleda Kids 2-in-1 Shampoo & Body Wash
This product is so cute and one of the newest range of products by Weleda. (They really do think of
everything!).  Available in Lively Lime, Very Vanilla & Happy Orange. How cute is the packaging?!
My kids just love the little hippo on the front of the tube having his own little bath just like them!

As a mother, this 2-in-1 product is great because it makes bath time quicker and easier. The more kids
you have the longer bath time takes. So having a multi-use product is what I look for. The fact it is
also 100% certified natural and gentle on little bodies and doesn't sting the eyes is a great bonus!

You don't need a lot to wash little kids hair and as I wash their hair because it's a 2-in-1 product as the
formula drips down from their hair onto their skin they can wash themselves as I'm washing their hair
with the same product! Saves time and money because the suds from the hair also wash the body!

The lime scent is really refreshing and a creamy white colour. My kids really enjoy using this, next I
would love to try the Very Vanilla (Even for myself!) as that is such a calming scent and one of my
absolute favourites! Vegan and cruelty free, that is what I like to see!

Weleda Baby Calendula Face Cream ($14.36)
Yes, I know this is a product designed for baby's skin, however I have to admit I couldn't resist
giving this a try for myself as well! What drove me to want to try this the most was actually the
creamy soft scent of the Calendula. It is slightly vanillary and lightly floral which as I mentioned
above is my weakness when it comes to scents. It smells absolutely gorgeous!

I don't think I have ever seen or heard of a facial care product especially just for babies. But when
you think about it, it is pretty clever. Babies have beautiful new born skin, yes. But it is also brand
new to our world. It isn't yet used to the polluted air, wind, air conditioning, etc. Babies skin can be
easily irritated and needs protecting as it adjusts and grows.

This facial cream is ultra soothing and great if you notice dry patches on your babies skin. I have
been using it on my and my 6yr old daughters face and it is so nice to bond together as girls
putting on our day creams together.

If you're keen to try some Weleda for yourself you can buy directly from their website online.
You can also find them online on a wide variety of websites. See them here!

If you prefer to shop in store Weleda is available at your local David Jones, some pharmacies and
selected health food stores. Find a stockist in your area here!

EL8TE

El8te Rose Skincare

Pure! Natural! Australian!

http://www.el8teaustralia.com.au
I love being an Aussie, but the heat is getting ridiculous! I am so over it, anyone else? I have always
loved winter and the cooler months and this year I am looking forward to it more than ever!

Speaking of being Aussie, today I thought I'd talk about another totally awesome all Australian
made and owned company and a few of their products I have been trying out over the past couple of
months called El8te Skincare.

Moisturising Hand & Body Wash - ($24.95 - 250ml)
This delightful multi-use product smells different to anything else I have tried and is very uplifting
and pretty. The formula is an almost clear and not too running when you pump it out of the dispenser.

I have been using this both in the shower, in the kids bath and as a hand wash in the kids bathroom
which we as a family all use as some point during the day! This product has been well loved and used
by us all and I have heard no complaints! I am really loving it, plus the elegant packaging doesn't hurt
to turn the kids bathroom into more of a grown up space.... at least when you look at where it sits on
the side of the sink and nowhere else! ;)

El8te also offer a range of products in charcoal & spearmint, rosemary & citrus as well as a skincare range just for babies! This particular range of goat's milk and rose is especially formulated for suit even the most sensitive of skin types.

This hand and body wash is very gentle and feels soft and milky on the skin. The scent it deliciously
rose with that slight milky fragrance. All ingredients are 100% natural and Australian which makes me feel good about supporting our Aussie companies!

Nourishing Hand & Nail Cream - ($34.95 - 75g)
I always apply hand cream right before going to sleep. I find this the best way for those richer, thick
creams to really soak in, soften and repair my skin as I sleep. This particular hand cream not only
moisturisers deep within the skin, slowing down the look of your ageing hands. With it's goat's milk
which contains a massive 50 essential nutrients as well as vitamins A, B5, C & E and folic acid it also
softens your cuticles and hardens your nails keeping them healthy on the inside and looking youthful,
smooth and shiny on the outside!

This hand and nail cream isn't your overly super thick kind, however that's not to say it doesn't work
just as well or isn't as rich in ingredients, as the results I have experienced have been really quite
wonderful! Being 33, my hands are beginning to show their age much more than my face! Even with
applying hand cream each night. During the day I am either at work using my hands all day long or at
home looking after two young kids and cleaning all day. All those chemicals and hand washing really
dries them out and I never experienced this until becoming a busy parent.

El8te Skincare are cruelty free and do not test on animals!
Their products are also free from synthetic fragrances, petrochemicals & colour additives!

You can kind and purchase these products and more from their various ranges mentioned above
directly online from their website. El8te Skincare can also be found in selected stores and some spas
Australia wide.

Have you tried goats milk in skincare?
Do you actively seek out to purchase Australian brands?

NEW QV RANGE

~ EGO QV SKINCARE ~

&

NEW BABY RANGE!

Bath Oil
RRP: $11.20 (250ml)
I honestly haven't been all that impressed with bath oils in the past as I've found them to be pretty
boring and just make the bath super slippery! This however doesn't have the slip factor which I
can not stress how important that is as a mother! It is not uncommon for most people I know to
call me over protective of my kids and that I just need to chill out and let them go a bit. But I just
can't. My babies are everything to me and when they hurt, my heart is in my mouth and it is the
worst feeling!! (I am sure most mothers can relate!!)

I find when I add a cap full to the kids bath along with the QV Gentle Wash (see below) it creates
an ultra soothing, gentle, moisturising bath. Both my daughter & son's skin has become softer
since I've used this combination in their bath each night and they seem to be enjoying it. :)

Gentle Wash
RRP: $10.65 (250g)
When it comes to bath time, I generally bath both my 3 year old and 1 year old together.
It is just easier to kill two birds with one stone, so to speak! Plus they love splashing, playing
and washing each other. It's a lovely bonding time for them.
I have been loving using this in their bath because not only does it create some nice bubbles
which are always a big hit, but the two in one formula means it can be used both as a body and
a hair wash! Saves time and fiddling around with a bunch of different bottles when I need to be
focusing on making sure nobody slips over!

This has absolutely no fragrance and it is ultra moisturising and completely soap free!
My kids don't have any skin issues but I feel good knowing I am using a product that is gentle
on their skin and is designed especially with young little bodies in mind.

Barrier Cream
RRP: $7.95 (50g)
This paediatrician recommended Barrier Cream is great! With just one kid left in nappies,
(hallelujah!) I can focus using this holy and soley on just my 1 year old son. I change his
nappy regularly enough that it isn't often he develops a nappy rash, however there are some
times when irritation can occur in certain areas and this has worked amazingly well at soothing
and clearing up the effected area quickly.

I just apply this to his bottom and along the creases of skin as recommended on the tube after
each nappy change and it has kept him comfortable and his skin baby soft and smooth.

Moisturising Cream
RRP: $13.20 (250g)
This pH balanced, lanolin, fragrance and propylene glycol free moisturising cream is just lovely!
As part of our night time routine, all 3 of us moisturise our whole bodies after bathing/showering
before we get dressed for bed and whilst my skin prefers a nice, thick, rich night cream to keep
me looking youthful (well it's does it's best!) I have been keeping this QV Baby Moisturising
Cream especially just for them.

Whilst I love a variety of different scented body butters, creams and souffles, my little ones aren't
so keen. (Especially fussy little Miss 3!) So to be able to use a nice big tub of this which is
fragrance free is perfect as they don't question it and it doesn't irritate their sensitive little noses!

The fact that the QV brand itself was first developed in the Queen Victoria hospital back in 1975
beginning with their ever famous Bath Oil makes me feel at ease and I trust completely in this brand
and that it is the best range of products I could be using for my babies.

Hand Cream
RRP: $6.49 (50g)
Now onto this lovely, pampering, must have product for the hard working mums out there!
Most of us are aware that our hands are ones of the first parts of our bodies to show our age.
When you think about it, we use our hands probably more than another other part of our bodies.
Only over the past 5 or so years have I really begun to notice the stress my hands have been put
under over the years. I especially feel they get quite a beating from all of the cleaning I do/have done!
(Both at home and in various jobs I've had in the past.)

Applying a good hand cream is an essential part of my night time routine these days. I always keep
a tube or tub of it beside my bed to I can massage it into my hands, nails, cuticles and up to my
wrists each night right before I fall asleep. This QV Hand Cream has taken over prime position
lately and let me tell you, my hands feel so good come morning! They feel so soft and relaxed!
This stuff is so moisturising I'm even considering using it on my feet as they are a part of my
body which constantly need moisturising and always feel dry and the skin gets tough and hard the
moment I start neglecting it! >_<

Moisturising Day Cream
RRP: $14.99 (75g)
I have been after a new day cream for a while now as I've just been slapping on any old foundation
or BB cream I have needing to be used up. So whilst doing this I have been skipping the vital
step of moisturising my face and applying any kind of SPF! (Naughty! Naughty!!)

Since using this under whatever makeup worn (if any!) each day, has been really beneficial!
This contains a massive SPF of 30, which coming into QLD's stinking hot Summer is absolutely essential and I will be using this all throughout the new year for sure as I am demanded daily to play out in the yard with my 3 year old, playing in the sand pit and jumping on the trampoline whilst the weeds and stray bits of grass popping up in places they're not meant to looking on and mocking me! (Meanies!) >_<

I have normal type skin and this has been working well and completely agreeing with me
without any irritations or complaints. Highly recommend this one!
