AVENE

AVENE

Eau Thermale

Tolerance Extreme Cream

Review!

Avene to me, is one of those skincare brands you seem to hear about and see a lot of, however I have
just never gotten myself around to actually using anything from this hypoallergenic range suitable for
even the most sensitive of skin types. Until now, I have been lucky enough to try their new Avene
Eau Thermale Tolerance Extreme Cream and I am so excited to share my thoughts on this facial
hydrater!

At a modest 50ml, the white cream is on the thicker and richer side when it comes to facial skin
moisturisers. I found it to have absolutely no scent what so ever, so if you're one of those people
wary of or not keen on scented creams near your nose then this is one you need not worry about!

This rich cream can be used as both a day and/or night cream. As it is so thick and generous, it is
absolutely perfect if you skin is especially dry or irritated. The thermal water, shea butter, safflower
seed oil amongst other ingredients work together in this cream to both soothe, hydrate and soften the
skin.

Avene are the first brand I have seen to package their products in a complete sterile manner. This
unique style of tube dispenser (see image below) works to keep the formulation inside completely
fresh thus eliminating the need to mix any preservatives into their products which can be irritating
and upsetting to a lot of people's skin.

No need to freak out, it is still super simple and easy to use! In fact it isn't complicated at all to
dispense the product out of the tube. All that happens is the little round circle you see in the middle
of the hole inside the flip top lid just pops out for a second and 'ta-da!' out pops a pea size amount of
cream. Just the right amount to cover your whole face, neck and décolletage. Easy peasy!

This product is said to work best if first used with the Avene Tolerance Extreme Cleansing Lotion and
the Avene Thermal Spring Water Spray. All of which are available to purchase directly from
Priceline, Amcal and most other chemists. You can check their official website for exact locations in
your area.

BOTANICES

~  BotanicES  ~
Environmentally Sustainable!
Natural Caffeine Skincare!

http://www.botanices.com

Body Creme 100ml
This generously sized 100ml body creme has been what I have been using everyday coming into
Spring with the weather warming up and more of my skin being exposed. (No more living in my
trusty old jeans!) It is important to me to have my skin well looked after and that means lathering
up on the moisturising to keep it not only looking it's best but actually being the best it can with a
little help from some natural skincare that actually works!

This stuff feels so soothing on the skin which probably explains why it can also be used as an after
sun skin soother! The creamy, almost skin toned formula doesn't take very long at all the soak into
my skin so I know it's working and not just sitting on the surface.

The scent to this is extremely subtle, most probably wouldn't even notice a smell even though it's
packed full of gorgeous beneficial ingredients for the skin which each smell uniquely lovely in their
own right including - Coffee Extract, Jojoba Oil & Coconut Oil.

The Coffee Extract works to energise and revitalise the appearance of the skin whilst also toning,
smoothing and hydrating the skin by up to 59%! Now that is impressive!
In conjunction to using the Body Creme, I have also adopted BotanicES's Face Creme into my
everyday skincare routine and this 15ml tube goes a long long way! You only need to use 1-2
pumps of this light formulation with each pump about the size of a small pea. I love that I am going
to get some good use out of such a small product. Very cool! :)

Contains - Coffee Extract, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Kakadu Plum Extract, Vitamin E, Shea Butter
& Licorice Root Extract. (You might expect the Licorice scent to be an overpowering force, however like the Body Creme, there is barely any scent at all!)

It has been a lovely indulgent pleasure to have been using this Face Creme over the past few weeks
and I don't plan on stopping any time soon!

Applying an eye creme really is such a vital a step in in every woman's skincare regime. Ever since I
began doing it I haven't stopped. I am not fussed so long as it works and this one definitely does!

Very similar to the Face Creme when it comes to the ingredients with this formulation also containing
Coffee Extract, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Licorice Root Extract, Shea Butter, Kakadu Plum Extract and
Vitamin E. This product actually appears completely different than the Face Creme. With just one
pump which gives you a small pea size amount this darker, slightly more translucent creme soothes
the eye area and feels very relaxing and over the past few weeks I can really see a difference in the
fine lines around my eyes. There are significantly less and the skin seems to be more toned and less
saggy. Nice!

Again virtually no scent and did I mention BotanicES is an Australian made & owned company that
doesn't test on animals?! Big plus there, plus let me list for you a whole bunch of other super
environmentally friendly benefits this company stands by which leaves me to wonder, why can't
every other company follow this one's perfectly brilliant example?

- No Phthalates
- No Petrochemicals
- No Ethanolamines
- No SLS/SLES

What's not to love?!

REAL-U

~  REAL-U BEAUTY  ~

http://real-u.com.au

Going through my teens, like most I suffered from acne. It all began at age 11 and since then has
been an on off relationship which I just can't seem to break away from. Even heading into my mid
thirties! I wouldn't have though I'd still be suffering from breakouts at this age, but yep, it still
happens, thankfully nowhere near as bad as when I was a teen, however still just as un-welcome and
annoying!

Recently I have been using Real-U products as my main source in my everyday routine. They are
Australian and not just for teens as my skin has been benefiting from their range too! :)
The three products I have been using twice daily are these ones below which I will talk about more,
but if you're interested in the details of each product you can check out my image below of the back
of each product. All of their products are hypo-allergenic, free from harsh ingredients such as ones I
have been guilty of using in the past including benzoyl peroxide ad salicylic acid.

CLEANSE - Gentle Foaming Wash!
The first product I want to chat to you about is Real-U's Gentle Foaming Wash. This is the first step
in my new routine which I start with each morning when I wake up. You can really feel the difference
when you use use this product especially afterwards when drying your face. The ph balanced formula
which also contains Aloe Vera keeps your skin at a healthy moisture balance, so it cleanses without
drying whilst still being effective at removing the excess oil, dirt and built up polluteons from the air
which has a tendency to stick deep into the pores making them look black, large and gross! Like with
most cleansers you just add a splash of water to get the cleanser foaming up ready to work onto your
face. Rinse well and pat dry.

CONTROL + Face Gel!
This next step is interesting to me because normally I would use a toner now before moisturising.
So to use a Face Gel (similar to a Serum) was quite cool for a change and might I add very effective!
This Gel is specifically formulated for non teenage skin (that's me!) which still breaks out or is just
persistently naughty! I have used a product like this in the past and I don't know why I ever stopped
because to me, I feel like this product was the most beneficial to my skin when it came to killing my
nasty monthly spots. I especially noticed a big difference first thing in the morning after applying this
at night after a few days. My skin had really calmed down considerably!

HYDRATE - Lite Moisturiser!
I am actually not opposed to a thick, heavy moisturiser especially for a night cream. However this
Lite Moisturiser is perfect is you skin is normally extra greasy or oily and the last thing you want to
do is add even more moisture to it making you feel like a shiny egg. This moisturiser feels so very
light on your skin and it soaked right in that I even considered applying it again on a few occasions to
make sure I was really getting enough! This product is awesome because after applying I can go
straight onto starting my makeup routine without having to wait for my skin to dry and at night I can
go right to bed without feeling like my moisturiser is going to transfer onto my pillow.

These products are available to purchase from the Real-U website and currently retail for the prices
listed below!

Gentle Foaming Wash 100ml $15
Face Gel 100ml $50
Lite Moisturiser 100ml $20

The Face Gel is also available in smaller 50ml or 10ml sample size tubes which are priced below.

Face Gel 50ml $30
Face Gel Sample 10ml $5
How cute are the little Control+ Face Gel samples? Adorable! If you want to try anything from the
range this is the one I recommend the most and for just the cost of postage ($5) you can't go wrong!

Real-U is a thoughtful brand who really just want the 'Real You!' as the name suggests to shine and
have the confidence to be yourself without having acne holding you back from living your fullest life.

This is a topic I think most people male and female can relate to at some point in their lives and it
definitely rings true to me. I highly recommend these products since using them over the past month.
I only wish I'd known about them sooner especially when I was in my awkward teen years and when
I was very shy and my acne was just killing my confidence and making it worse.

Check out the rest of the range below! This is just a sneak peak, I suggest you head on over to their
website to learn more. :)
