AVENE

AVENE

Eau Thermale

Tolerance Extreme Cream

Review!

Avene to me, is one of those skincare brands you seem to hear about and see a lot of, however I have
just never gotten myself around to actually using anything from this hypoallergenic range suitable for
even the most sensitive of skin types. Until now, I have been lucky enough to try their new Avene
Eau Thermale Tolerance Extreme Cream and I am so excited to share my thoughts on this facial
hydrater!

At a modest 50ml, the white cream is on the thicker and richer side when it comes to facial skin
moisturisers. I found it to have absolutely no scent what so ever, so if you're one of those people
wary of or not keen on scented creams near your nose then this is one you need not worry about!

This rich cream can be used as both a day and/or night cream. As it is so thick and generous, it is
absolutely perfect if you skin is especially dry or irritated. The thermal water, shea butter, safflower
seed oil amongst other ingredients work together in this cream to both soothe, hydrate and soften the
skin.

Avene are the first brand I have seen to package their products in a complete sterile manner. This
unique style of tube dispenser (see image below) works to keep the formulation inside completely
fresh thus eliminating the need to mix any preservatives into their products which can be irritating
and upsetting to a lot of people's skin.

No need to freak out, it is still super simple and easy to use! In fact it isn't complicated at all to
dispense the product out of the tube. All that happens is the little round circle you see in the middle
of the hole inside the flip top lid just pops out for a second and 'ta-da!' out pops a pea size amount of
cream. Just the right amount to cover your whole face, neck and décolletage. Easy peasy!

This product is said to work best if first used with the Avene Tolerance Extreme Cleansing Lotion and
the Avene Thermal Spring Water Spray. All of which are available to purchase directly from
Priceline, Amcal and most other chemists. You can check their official website for exact locations in
your area.

SPEICK

SPEICK

Skincare For Men

Review!

http://www.speick.de

When it comes to my husband, our skin types couldn't be any more different! My skin is pretty
tough. It can take pretty much any kind of product, natural, organic or not and I will never break
out, get a rash or itch or anything like that. He on the other hand has quite sensitive, dry and fair
skin. So I don't really blame him for being a bit fussy when it comes to his manly products and he
pretty much just sticks to what he knows and what works for him. Completely fair enough!

That's not to say I don't try to sway him here and there with other products I come across from time to
time like these German manly skincare products by Speick which has specifically perfect for if you
have dry and sensitive skin made with a range of natural ingredients including Speick plant extract!

SPEICK Plant grown high in the Alpine region & Nock Mountains

Speick Men Active Shampoo
With ingredients like caffeine from guarana in it this product is sure to wake you up in the morning!
Not only that, these products also help to strengthen the hair naturally. Other ingredients also include
fair trade argon oil to give the hair shine. Other plant oils in this product moisturise a dry scalp which
prevents dead skin build up and irritation.

This 150ml tube like all Speick products are made in their home factory in Germany and contain no
synthetic fragrances, colours, silicons, parabens and mineral oil based ingredients.

This is available to purchase directly off the Speick website with international shipping available.

Speick Men Rasier Creme (Shaving Cream)
Interesting fact about the Speick plant used in these products. It is said to be both calming and
stimulating at the same time which I think is amazing and a great benefit at the same time. To be
able to relax the body whilst still keeping it alert and revitalised is just amazing to me!

In saying that this shaving cream also contains a soothing boost of lavender which we all know is
known to also be calming and relaxing to the body. This cream has a gorgeous natural scent to it and
appears as a white pearlescent texture which when applied to the skin and rubbed in forms a nice soft
creamy thick layer ready for shaving. I have used this myself on my underarms and legs and found it
to leave my skin beautifully smooth and somehow give a closer shave than usual. I love how I smell
afterwards! Think I may just keep this one on my half of the shower... ;)

Speick Men Active Intensiv Creme (Intensive Cream) 50ml
This intensive cream is a protective daily moisturiser for the face. With ingredients including the
obvious Speick plant as well as Aloe Vera gel, Shea Butter and natural Q10, this cream is also perfect
to use after shaving to calm and soothe the skin.

The white cream is naturally scented and smells divine! Speick products are both dermatologically
and allergologically tested and completely vegan. The cream is non greasy and keeps your skin
hydrated and free from irritants all day long. No need to re-apply.

Speick products can also be found to purchase online in Australia at

EYE NECK FACE GEL

~  Australian Bush Flower Essences  ~

Soothing Firming Eye Neck Face Gel

Calm & Clear
Love System
I think the universe may be trying to tell me something. What with all the recent anti-ageing products I have been trying out lately. Particularly targeting to the face and neck area. Don’t get me wrong, I am more than a happy and willing participant! Being 32 my skin sure would use all the help it can get before I really start looking my age. In saying that this has actually come at a great time as recently I have noticed a weird saggy bit of skin smack bang in the middle of my neck just under my chin. Like seriously, really!? Argh, how did this happen? I thought sagging in the neck was decades away from happening, but apparently not. Boo! :(

Since the Christmas period I have been using this facial gel by ABFE in conjunction with my other daily skincare products and have not only really enjoyed the clear, smooth texture and refreshing, relaxing scent, the results have been a bonus too.

With ingredients including flower essences of -
Black Eyed Susan
Boronia
Bottlebrush
Bush Fuchsia
Crowea
Jacaranda
Little Flannel Flower
Paw Paw
She Oak

And infused with Aussie native plant extracts like Emu Bush, Kangaroo Apple & Quandong.

This 30ml easy to use pump style bottle sure goes a long way. With one dispensed pump as shown in the image above, this amount of product is quite a generous amount to gently massage into your face and neck area. I usually have enough left over and also apply this to my decollate area.

This and other Australian Bush Flower Essences products can be found in selected stores around Australia and directly from their website. The extensive range means you’re sure to find a range of products perfectly suited to your skin’s needs and concerns at an affordable price. You can also rest assured you are buying Aussie made and owned as well as organic and environmentally friendly and cruelty free. Can’t get much better than that!

Over the past couple of months using this up to five days a week I have noticed a nice change
in the appearance of my few light wrinkles. They are actually lighter and less obvious.
Sometimes natural really is best! Trust in the earth and mother nature I say!

This product retails for $24.95 + shipping

NEW YEAR FACE RECOVERY

HOW TO:

RECOVER & PAMPER

YOUR FACE

AFTER

NEW YEARS

C  E  L  E  B  R  A  T  I  O  N  S  !

Welcome to 2015 everybody!

Another year has no doubt smacked you in the face weather your woke up
not remembering the night before or sprung out of bed like a new spring chicken ready to put
those new years resolutions into play. 2015 is here and weather or not you partied hard all through
the night or were tucked up in bed before 9pm. Chances are you stayed up (or at least tried to!)
to watch the clock strike midnight and see some fireworks live or on the telly!

In saying that, your skin may be looking and feeling a little on the tired side, so why not start
the new year looking like your young self again with the help of some natural, kind and pampering
beauty products!

Let me introduce you to some of my favourite face soothers from Puretopia!

Puretopia
Skin Radiance
Moisturising & Soothing
Gel Mask
RRP: $14.95 (125ml)

Nothing refreshes, detoxifies and deeply cleanses my skin better than a good old fashioned facial
mask! The packet ones you can purchase (and there are millions of different types!) are all well
and good and I have had some great results with them. However to have a nice generous sized
125ml tube of one that works a treat, is so much more convenient and less hassle!

As a mum I am pretty time poor in the 'me time' department so I usually multi task my facial mask
time. For example. I will apply my mask and let it sit whilst I am bathing the kids or after they have
gone to bed whilst I am cleaning up the cyclonic hit lounge room from the busy day just gone.

The results I have received from using this mask over the past few months have been really worth it!
It contains tangerine flower and smells gorgeous, but most of all it leaves my skin feeling renewed
and looking youthful again! By the end of most days I often am left feeling like an 80 year old
woman. Tired, hagged and a little worse for wear I'm afraid. Such are the joys of parenthood.
Completely exhausting, but at the same time completely worth every waking moment!

Contains Vitamin C, Pro Vitamin B5 & Australian Manuka Honey to name a few!

Puretopia
Massaging Roller
RRP: $19.95 (15ml)

If you've ever used any type of eye roller before, then you know how amazing they feel on your skin,
especially first thing in the morning when you wake up to completely soothe and cool tired eyes.
I especially love to keep mine in the fridge throughout Summer when it's really hot as the roller
ball when chilled feels even more amazing, you should totally try it! :)

Being a super busy mum with 2 little toddlers running around, I often get limited sleep time that
is 99% of the time interrupted for some reason or another, so I always end up with either small bags,
dark circles or both under my eyes. This massaging roller really is my 'Eye Rescue!'

I just apply whenever I feel like I need it and it is my little treat for a few seconds here and there
throughout the day!

It is the perfect purse and travelling size to be readily available for you to use no matter where
the new year may be taking you!

Contains Vitamin C, Cornfowers, Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Purified Water to name just a few!

100% Sulfate & Paraben Free, Puretopia is completely Australian made and owned and is
against animal testing!

What have been your face savers over the New Year period?
