THE FIT GIRL BOX

THE FIT GIRL BOX

"MIX BOX"

UNBOXING REVIEW!

Like many, subscription boxes are one of my many weakness'! That little surprise package you
signed up for and then forgotten about suddenly arrives when you least expect it and suddenly your
day is just that much better as you've received a little gift just for yourself for no apparent reason
other than for being your amazing gorgeous lil self! ;)

As sub boxes are a secret little obsession of mine, I always have my eye out looking for more boxes
full of new and exciting things, whatever the theme may be.

My latest discovery has me kicking my butt back into gear as I am reminded of one of my top new
years resolutions. - To look after my body on both the inside & out! Now, I do do quite a good job
already of taking care of my body, however the main areas I need to work on is eating healthier and
exercising more!

This box has inspired me like it's the new year all over again!

Watch My Unboxing Below!

First of all The Fit Girl Box like
myself, has it's very own Youtube
channel which you should go check
out and if you want to really get
an inside view of the lovely girl,
Brittany who is the brains behind the
box, she also has her own channel
full of fun and interesting videos
which you can watch HERE!

So on with the box! This healthy
subscription gives you more than
$200 worth of product and between
6-8 products for just $39.99.

If you sign up annually which gives
you 4 boxes you can save yourself
10% and pay just $144.

I really enjoyed discovering each and every product in this box, beginning with this bonus NW

"You Won't Believe It's Sugar-Free!" magazine full of healthy, inspiring and really easy to follow
recipes! I am not the best cook, however sweets are difinitely my weakness so to be able to create
some delicious AND healthy desserts is a mega win for me!

As you can see here there are also
some quick and easy meal options
inside which give detailed and
step by step instructions to easily
follow for your lunch and dinners.

I especially find fresh salads like
these super convenient to take to
work with me so I'm not tempted
to grab fast food on the run!

This magazine can be purchased
for current RRP $9.99.

First up in the box is this PT grey sports towel. I was instantly drawn to this in the box as not only
was it the largest item in the box, I was also curious to what it was inside the draw string storage bag!

I adore grey and neutral colours at the moment so that was an instant 'Like' by me. The micro fiber
material is that quick absorbing and quick drying kind which would be perfect to take to the gym,
yoga, running or any sport in general to keep you fresh and dry. This towel is huge by the way,
100 x 40cm in fact! I am surprised it fits into such a small bag! Very cool indeed.

Available in a range of colours including - Blush, Citrine, Mint & Pink at your local Pillow Talk
store for current RRP $14.95 each.

Pillow Talk Energize Sports Towel in the shade 'Dove'.

Vigour Skin Therapy is an Australian company which specializes in natural goodness for your skin.
This products have been made by two Aussie skin theropists with more than 25 years experience in
this field. Their products are so healthy for your skin and really let your best skin shine through!

I originally discovered this brand through my Schkinny Maninny pressed juice subscription (You can read all about my 3 day juice cleanse HERE!) and fell in love with their Treatment Cleanser so I am
allll over this Collagen Eye, Lip & Line Fix!

Just as the name suggests, this product is a hard working, time saving, multi tasker! Not only smooths
out your fine lines, it also hydrates, soothes and plumps up the skin fading wrinkles and giving your
lips that extra bit of pout which most of us desire as thin lips can quickly age you!

Current RRP $39.00

Blue Dinosaur Paleo Bars are one of those products I have seen around but never purchased. Just for
the plain fact that chocolaty and sugary treats win me over in the sweets isle without me ever thinking
about it and that fact that I should probably choose something to snack which is better for my body
and won't stick around on my thighs forever!

As you can see below, these come in a range of flavours (If this seems up your ally, keep an eye out
for their latest 'Sour Cherry', 'Banana Bread' & 'Blueberry' flavours!) with the one which I received in
my box being the 'Ginger Nut'. Have no added sugars and contain just 5 natural ingredients!
(Make sure to watch my unboxing video to find out the 5 ingredients!)

Current RRP $2.90 each

I am beyond excited to try out these Amazing Magnesium 'Pain Relief' & 'Recovery' wipes!
Not only has my back taken a hit to the sudden cold here and tensed up and is now doing that
awful 'click' and 'crunch' sound every time I move my shoulder blades but I also get aching feet
at the end of the day since returning back to work this year. (Hence the lack of blog posts lately,
sorry!) Also, my husband gets really intense back and neck pain from working 24/7 on his laptop,
so if these work out well, I'll be jumping online to purchase a box or two!

Current RRP $15.60 (Pain Relief) $19.50 (Recovery). Per box of x25

Hydration is sooo important and during the cooler months I forget even more often than ever to
drink enough fluid throughout the day! Let's face it water can get boring real quick and when you're
already dehydrated is can be hard to down a good litre your body is probably needing in one go!

This is where Pure Electrolyte Hydration comes in to make life just that little bit more exciting and
easier! Available in a range of flavours (I got the Lemon one!) including Lemon, Raspberry,
Pineapple and Super Fruits. I cannot wait to try this! Sounds absolutely delish!

Current RRP $29.99 (500g)

To continue to help me with my sweet tooth and quick sugar fix addiction, is this enrGIsustain
dark chocolate, coconut and cashew bar. Yum! This not only sounds delicious (Hello chocolate!)
but I love this companies punch line as well. - "Bite Me. I'm Good!" :D

High in protein, gluten free and containing 18 essential vitamins and minerals. This is the kind of
snack bar I need to help me through my busy days! #happyenrGIpeople

Current RRP $4.95 each

Another natural, healthy snack alternative you could go for is this Go Natural Active Protein Choc
Acai bar! With a 4.5 star health rating, this gives me confidence in what I am putting into my body is
a good choice! I love that this not only provides me with a good old choccy fix, but it is actually
giving me the natural unrefined version filled also with sunflower seeds, honey, almonds, pepitas,
peanuts, brazil nuts and whey protein to help sustain my energy throughout the day and keep me full
for longer between meals.

Current RRP $2.41 each OR $40.00 (Per box of x16 bars)
Also available in 'Super Berry' flavour.

I am pretty proud of myself for completely cutting sugar out of my daily cups of coffee, however
when it comes to baking cookies, cake and other sweets, sugar is an unavoidable main ingredient
of these delicious dishes! Having a healthy and all natural sugar alternative to use like this Natvia
100% Natural Sweetener is genius!

I have actually used this product before which also comes in the canister form, however these little 2g
sachets are brilliant because it makes hopeless cooks like me look like pros by already having the
portions measured out for me to easily add together when mixing ingredients together when baking
cakes, etc.

Current RRP for this box below $4.49

This is one of the things I love about this subscription box. It has a good variety of products to help
us look after ourselves on both the inside and out. Moving on from that food related items, are these
x2 sample sachets of Lemon Tea Tree & Mandarin Bondi Wash Body Wash!

Be sure to take advantage of their 15% off offer when you sign up to their newsletter!

Current RRP $1.00 per sample sachet (You can purchase pretty much any or all of their products for
just $1.00 each contains 10ml each) or $35.00 (500ml bottle)

So there you have it, a great mix of products in this Autumn "Mix Box!"

Do you treat yourself to any subscription boxes?
Which ones are your style? - Beauty, health, lifestyle, pets, etc!

SCHKINNY MANINNY

~  SCHKINNY MANINNY ~
3 DAY JUICE CLEANSE

I like to think of myself as a pretty healthy kind of person. I don't smoke, drink any alcohol, do drugs
or sun bake. I look after my skin, keep active and eat in moderation. However there is always room
for improvement. I am not perfect. I do have a sweet tooth (or salty depending on my mood) tooth
that can get me into trouble every now and again which has me ending up feeling guilty, sluggish and
yuk in the stomach.

So when I had the opportunity recently to try a 3 Day Juice Cleanse from Schkinny Maninny how
could I not think this would be a great idea to help clean out my system!

INCLUDED IN MY 3 DAY DETOX PACK!
Schkinny Maninny are great in that they realise a detox is not always an easy feat, especially for
beginners like myself and offer some extra goodies on the first day to last you throughout your
journey. These do often change so you if you are curious you can find out what's on offer on their
website. My pack included - A tub of detoxing bath salts, Vigour Skin Therapy Revive Treatment
Cleanser, Psyllium Husk and five detoxing tea bags.

This was a pretty generous size tub and I still have a fair amount of this left over which I am still
using. Very relaxing and also made an amazing exfoliator!

This generous sample size of this Aussie product was so beautiful and nice to use! You simply have
to go check out their website for their entire range. I have and am hooked. Line and sinker!

Ok, so this Psyllium Husk is weird and interesting stuff! It is meant to absorb water inside your
stomach taking with it all of the toxins and badies out with it. Recommended to drink with a LOT of
water to ensure success and can make you feel bloated. Yeah, it did make me feel bloated. I don't
know for sure if it worked, but I only drank this one glass of it. It wasn't very nice and I noticed after
experimenting with the remainder in a glass that it actually turned jelly like if you let it sit in the water!

I also received a little pot of these tasty seeds to snack on each day which I actually really enjoyed!

Schkinny Maninny offers delivery bright and early in the morning to ensure you have your juice
nice and fresh as soon as you start your day! Mine was there each morning before I even woke up
at 7am! Delivery is available to those living in NSW, VIC & QLD and there is a wide variety of
different juice packs you can choose from ranging from just a one day cleanse to get your started
or if you are unsure if this is for you, up to a five day cleanse. You have many options available
including just juice, juice and a healthy dinner, juice and soup or you can just order the juices
singly if you find you only like a certain flavour/s.

I chose to undertake the 3 Day Juice & Dinner Cleanse as I wasn't sure I would be able to last three
whole days on liquid alone, so having an option of a healthy pre-prepared dinner also available was
more my cup of tea. So let me show you what I received each day in my pack and what I thought of it!

On the first day I was ready to go! I'd had a hearty dinner the night before so I was eager to get started
and see how I would feel on a completely different food and liquid consumption than I am used to, if
I'd lose any weight, feel lighter and less bloated, have more energy and just generally feel good!

DAY 1
For breakfast the very first juice to begin my cleanse was the Schkinny Leap Frog green juice!
This juice contained a refreshing blend of - Spinach, Cucumber, Apple, Kiwifruit & Parsley.
This tasted pretty good. It took some getting used to honestly, mainly because I am just not used to
drinking so much greenery!

By about 10am I cracked open the next juice. The Schkinny Pine Grapple which was a blend of
Pineapple, Carrot, Celery, Ginger and Apple. This was much yummier and a lot sweeter than the first juice. I was so grateful for this juice that I downed it in about two minutes! Gah... delicious!

Lunch was a liquid soup which contained a blend of Carrot, Cashew
Nuts, Pear, Ginger, Ground Coriander, Ground Ginger, Pepper, Pink Himalayan Salt & Water. I wasn't a fan of this. But to be fair this was the first day and my taste buds were still new to this kind of eating and I was pretty darn hungry by this time of the day! I have never been a fan of  ginger or coriander ever in my life anyway, so that is just my personal taste preference.

My afternoon pick me up was the Schkinny Fruity Punch, a more simple mix of rockmelon,
watermelon, orange and mint. I'm not font of the mint, but otherwise this drink was quite yummy!

By around 6pm when I usually have dinner I was feeling ok. I wouldn't say I was starving but I was
definitely having some sugar cravings and solid food withdrawals. Thanking myself quickly for
ordering the pack which included a solid dinner I opened up my container. A freshly pre-prepared
mixed salad of Pear, Rocket, Green Beans, Walnuts, Cucumber and Goji Berries including a small
dressing of Avocado, Lemon Juice and Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

I think I was slightly more brain dead than usual on this first day as I forgot to take an actual picture
of my meal as I have the following two days. However I think at least this way you can see how these
meals look when they come to you, and it was actually delicious and I ate every last bite gratefully
including the bonus little container of seeds!

DAY 2
Waking up on day 2 was easier than usual. I think my body was already into full detox mode and it
was making me feel more full of energy and ready to tackle to day ahead feeling less heavy and with
a clearer head. That's not to say I wasn't starving and so ready to see what was for breakfast!

The first juice was called Schkinny Water Frog. Like day one, this was another green juice, however
a bit different with ingredients including - Spinach, Parsley, Kiwifruit, Watermelon and Orange.
This was definitely was a great wake me up and one of the best juices to begin the day with. I really
enjoyed this flavour combo and would probably just purchase this one again singly in future.

My mid morning get through until lunch was the Triple C. Carrot being the main ingredient but also
containing more greenies including Celery, Apple and Cucumber. By this time I have realised I much
prefer the fruit blends much more than the ones which contain veggies and herbs.

My soup for lunch was the Schkinny Colly, Meg & Lee Soup and boy was I tempted to wak some
bread in the toaster to dip into it! But I promise you I did stay strong and resisted the strong urge and
slurped through it spoon by spoon. This was actually a pretty decently large serving and I just
couldn't get through it all. Washed it down with water which helped with the slightly bland taste.

I spent the last few hours before bed watching our usual TV shows and entertaining the kids whilst
drinking my last juice for the day. This one called the Schkinny Rocky Orange Show was Mint,
Rockmelon, Orange, Cucumber and Apple was ok apart from the mint I am not fond of. However
I must admit this juice stuff by this time had really done it's job in clearing out my system so to
speak! I have noticed a flatter, less ballooned stomach and am feeling quite good generally.

For dinner that night was the Chickpea Hotpot with Tuscan Spices which you have the option to
eat either hot or cold depending on your own personal preference. I chose to eat mine straight out
of the fridge cold. Ingredients included - Chickpeas, Tomato Zucchini, Spinach, Red Onion, Parsley,
Lemon Juice and Tuscan Spices. Aside from the parsley which I'm just not into eating such large
quantities of, the rest of the meal was quite satisfying.

DAY 3
Ah finally, the home stretch! Honestly, by this time my will power is getting weak again. Not sure if
I am having another solid food withdrawal and just craving bad food in general. I am just looking
forward to the end of the day, however grateful I am for actually doing this detoxing juice cleanse.
I know it has done wonders for my body. Getting so many nutrient rich ingredients into my body
via liquid form has made me realise I can still continue to do this once the cleanse is complete. Just
incorporating actual meals with them.

Again breakfast was the Schkinny Leap Frog which was the same breakfast juice as on day one.
Still unable to get my taste buds to love the parsley, but hey we can't all love everything. Still, I
drank it all because that is all I had and munched on some of the seeds provided to get me through
until the mid morning juice and lunch.

The mid morning juice was a new one I'd not yet tried so I was interested to give it go, however
hesitant about the beetroot in juice form. This one was called Pine Root and also consisted of
sweet Pineapple, Apples, Carrot and Ginger. If is weren't for the pineapple to cut through all of that
I'm sure so sure I would have need able to down it.

Lunch again was another soup. Schkinny Creme of Spinach. Spinach, Cashew Nuts, Lemon Juice,
Leek, Almond Milk and Water. This out of the three, was my favourite soup. Lately I have been
converting over from cow's milk to almond as dairy milk unsets my stomach, so I was used to the
flavour in the soup and enjoyed the other ingredients. This made this last day a whole lot easier.
Only half a day left to go!

Finally, the very last juice to conclude my three day juice cleanse. The Schkinny Pink Sherbet.
An interesting name for a blend of Watermelon, Lemon, Apple and Cucumber. This juice was
really good! Again one of my favourites and one I would happily purchase again singly along with
the Water Frog juice.

Ok, so not quite the end of the cleanse. Here is the third and final dinner. The Moroccan Lentil
Medley with Mandarin. I don't think I have ever consumed a savoury hot dinner finished with cool
fresh mandarin on the top. It was an interesting combo. Not sure I would go there again. However it
wasn't a bad meal. The beans were fresh and crisp and they complemented the lentils giving them
added flavour.
Schkinny Maninny not only offers 1-5 day juice cleanses. If you're super keen or find after
trying it out you think it might be something you'd want to continue for a period of time there
are subscription options available. Be sure to check their website and social pages for special
discounts, codes & offers!

COCONUT WATER

~  NATURAL WORLD  ~

Hydration   &   Shine   Weightless   Hair   Oil!

By now we're all pretty much aware of face and body oils and the long list of benefits they make
to our skin. Well today I am going to tell you all about hair oil and how it also can majorly aid in
the overall health and appearance of your lovely locks.

Infused with organic coconut, this formulation includes a mix of organic oils including Kernel
which fused together quenches dehydrated hair, gives luscious shine and eliminates the annoying
persistant frizz! Holy smokes, ahh-mazing!!

Natural World Cosmetics is a new brand to me and now I have tried it on my frizz prone, consistently
dry hair I am looking into trying more from their Coconut Water range.

Made in trendy Soho, London completely Paraben free, I am sure this product and brand is going to
be huge here in Australia once people have tried it.

How to use: - All you need to do is apply a few drops into your hands and scrunch into the ends
and the bottom half of your damp hair. I like to do this after I've showered and washed my hair.
You can also add to your conditioner for added benefits or add a little after blow drying to calm down
any fly aways or persistant frizz.

Depending on your hair concern and personal taste. Natural World Cosmetics range of hair
products also include - Argan Oil Of Morocco, Brazilian Keratin, Macadamia Oil & Caffine Powder!

You can find where to purchase these online here!

MASTITIS

~ MASTITIS ~

(Mummy Stuff/Parenting)

Not a word you hear everyday!
I am currently breast feeding my second child who is now nine months old.
I've never had any problems with breast feeding before, apart from actually getting
the hang of it at the beginning with my first child.
Since then it has been smooth sailing, until a few days ago...

I am usually up at least 2-3 times during the night with my son for feeds.
Since he's eating more and more solids I suppose he was just so full and comfy,
he decided to sleep all throughout the night. My boobs were not happy campers!

Needless to say, by morning my boobs were huge, hard, lumpy and screaming to be
drained! If you've ever breast fed, you'll know the feeling.
Having a three year old toddler running around and wanting to sit with me whilst I feed
isn't an ideal situation to be in. That's just the way it goes at my house.
I try to keep her entertained with various things, drawing, playdoh, tv, leggo, toys, etc,
I guess she feels a little left out and just wants to sit with us. So every few sucks or so
my son spins his head around to see whatever my daughter is doing, because
apparently everything she says or does is so interesting and funny to him.
It is sweet, they adore each other, but having him niplash me every 30 seconds
sucks! (Pun intended!)

Getting slightly off track there, where was I?
Oh right, waking up with uncomfortably full breasts!
I tried to feed him as much as he would take but apparently my boobs were not
satisfied and a few days ago the left one started to get really sore! So sore in fact that it
felt as though I'd been punched, hard fair the side of my tit. :(

The following day I started to feel off. I was lethargic, more than the usual for someone
with low blood pressure and a lagging pulse rate. My first thought was, holy shit, I better not
be bloody pregnant again! Luckily, after some quick Googling my mind was put to ease,
when I realised I most likely had Mastitis. By the end of the day I felt really run down. The same
kind of feeling you get when you feel like you're getting the flu. Only no runny nose, cough or
sneezing, etc. Just the, I feel like crap, have a heavy, pounding head and want to lie down kind of feeling.
My temperature had also risen to 39.7 degrees.

The following day I decided to call up my Dr. for an appointment.
By this time my boob had an oval shaped red, very tender and hard lumpy area on one side.

Apologies for the odd picture, I didn't want to show my whole boob online.
But hopefully you can see what I'm talking about.

After a quick examination, my Dr. confirmed I did indeed have Mastitis and told
me not to hesitate and to come and see her straight away next time and not to
wait a few days. I had no idea it was such a serious thing. Apparently it can make you quite
sick very fast if not treated quickly and worse case scenario you could be admitted to hospital
to have the infection taken care of.

So I've been prescribed some antibiotics called Distaph 500 which I am currently taking
every six hours which should help clear it all up within a few days.
I think they're making me drowsy, so upping the caffeine intake even more than usual!
Thank goodness no other nasty side effects!

I was in two minds about weather or not I should write about this.
I don't often do a lot of personal posts. I thought my blog is lacking some mummy
kind of posts though, and with being a 24/7 mum and it being probably the biggest part of my life, it is also my most
passionate. So why not share my experiences with others who may find it interesting or
helpful. This was just my experience. Each one of course is different and should be treated that
way. All I can say is, if you think you may be getting Mastitis, don't wait, just get it checked
out as soon as you can. It isn't worth getting sick over when it can be cleared up so simply
and quickly with just a few pills rather than having to be admitted to hospital if you ignore it.

Have you ever suffered from Mastitis or something similar?

Thanks for reading!
:)

This fun loving, healthy and inspiring monthly subscription box recently
caught my eye as having hit my 30th birthday this year and with two kids rapidly growing

:)

Slender Lasagne Sheets
250g
 Full Size!
These are so convenient and perfect for someone like me
who doesn't find cooking all that fun.
These come pre-cooked, so half the work is already done for you.
Plus they tick all the boxes when it comes to being healthy and low in calories.

Brookfarm Macadamia Muesli
75g
I love eating muesli for breakfast, or any time of day
really. Either with milk and added fresh banana and strawberries.
Or mixed with honey and vanilla yoghurt.
I also love that this is toasted as it gives a bit of crunch and more texture.
Yum!

Vital Organic Rooibos Vanilla Tea Bags
10 Tea Bags
18g
I admit, I am addicted to coffee.
I suffer from very low blood pressure and my pulse rate is
also just above 50bpm.  So although it doesn't do a whole lot,
it does give me a little extra oomph to help get me through the day.
In saying that, I do on occasion love a nice, hot pot of flavoured tea.
I prefer green over black, and I have been really getting into vanilla scents
quite a bit lately so I am keen as mustard to try this Vital Organic Rooibos tea
as I've not heard of this brand before.

Herbal Fresh Hands Antibacterial Hand Sanitiser
50ml
This is the perfect travel or handbag size bottle.
It smells really refreshing containing Olive leaf extract.
Kills 99.9% of germs, so great for when I'm out and about with the kids.
They collect germs galore! Plus it's winter and germs seem to quadruple
this time of year.

Absolute Organic Fairtrade Chocolate Bar with Quinoa Flakes
100g
Healthy chocolate!? I'm so there! :)
Contains 70% cacao. Cholesterol free and contains crispy quinoa flakes
for added texture and crunch. Get. In. My. Belly!!

Chic Nuts Roasted Chickpeas
25g
I am not usually a fan of chickpeas.
They just don't taste good to me. They're so bland and have an off
putting texture. These however, come roasted, so are crunchy like nuts,
AND, they're lightly salted, so not so bland!
Great guilt free snack on the go and between meals. :)
