OOTD

~ O u t f i t  O f  T h e  D a y ! ~

I love fashion, style and watching each trend evolve into the next.
So since I haven't written a fashion post in quite a while,
here's an OOTD and as usual it's very budget friendly!

To get started, I'm just chilling out at home with the kids today,
so not much makeup. I just threw on a few coats of ModelCo
Fat Lash Volumising black mascara and coated my lips in

These shots were taken in my backyard in front of the floral arch pretty
much in the exact same place where my husband and I got married.
It looks so beautiful now, covered in jasmine and the smell is just divine!
It only flowers like mad like this for about 2 weeks at the start of Spring
each year then the flowers all fall off. Such a shame the jasmine were just
tiny little plants when we got married 4 years ago, it would have looked
awesome in the wedding pix!

Anyway, on with the outfit! :)

Purchased from K-Mart
Black Singlet Top - Came in pack of 2 with a white one as well for ($5)
Black & White Polka Dot Skirt with Pockets - ($15)
White Encrusted Gem Sandals - I fit into kids size 5 ($15)

I love shopping for clothes at places like K-Mart because you can
buy all the latest trends without paying the ridiculous prices.
When the trend ends you don't have to worry about a shirt or a dress
you only wore a few times because you only spent about $20 on it,
as opposed to purchasing something similar for triple the price.
Plus they sell tones of kids clothes cheaper than buying second hand
a lot of the time which is great since they grow so fast!

A close up of the shoes!

Where do you like to shop for the latest trends?
Do you ever shop the kids section for yourself?

COLLECTIVE HAUL

~ COLLECTIVE HAUL ~

Home & Kids!

Masters
Even though we live in QLD, the winter chill has been solidly felt here at our house!
Early in the morning and late at night are the coldest and especially just jumping out
of a steaming hot shower into the cold air is torture! So we caved and bought a new
heater! At the moment this is helping keep the lounge room where we spend the most
of our time nice and toasty!

This will be used over the top of the black paint we also got mixed
for us to not only protect the paint job and prolong it's life.
This coat will give my DIY's shine especially with the
to give a beautiful, subtle glittered texture and finish. I am so excited to do this!
(Bookshelf/Shoe Rack & Computer Desk! - I will definitely be sharing this project
with you as it happens so make sure you're following so you don't miss it!)

Bunnings
Even though we're renters, we have always spent most of our weekends out in the garden
doing not only general upkeeping but also changing things around and making it look as
beautiful as possible. About a year after we moved here we actually got married in our backyard
after I was super lucky and won a $1000 gift card from Bunnings which really helped to make
everything look pretty. Unfortunately after the wedding was over the grass had certainly seen
better days and ever since then it has been a never ending battle of getting the grass to grow back
properly. Recently, we heard a friend of ours was keeping an eye on his mates place while he was
away and when his mate returned he told him he'd watered his garden and grass while he was away
for him. Little did he know he actually has ASTROTURF!!! hahaha! Must've looked pretty real!
Which got the husband and I thinking wouldn't that just make life so much more easier and be great
for the kids to play on! Luckily we don't have a huge amount of area to turf because Astroturf is mega
expensive, so we're currently keeping our eyes pealed for a good deal.

So what did we actually buy from Bunning this time?
My husband actually came home one night and surprised me with these gorgeous new
Arlec Lustrous 31cm Mosaic Solar Garden Path Lights ! They come in a 4 pack for $29.90,
so he got two packs to help cover the yard. They look so amazing and are completely my taste!
They look gorgeous at night!

Ikea
If you've ever been to Ikea, then you know it's a crazy maze of endless eye candy
which makes it impossible to leave without having seen something you just have to have!
Recently I spotted this Pink Mala Easel $29.99 on displaywhich comes in both pink or blue
(I have no idea why the website is only showing plain wood)
and couldn't resist spoiling my daughter with it!
It has a chalkboard on one side and whiteboard on the other!
She loves to draw and before this she would either just draw with chalk either on our garage floor or
on the pavers out the back. Now she has her own special easel where she can be creative inside too.

What's on your shopping list at the moment?

Love Candy!
