March 2014 Favourites!

Clean & Clear Morning Burst Facial Scrub
-
This stuff smells amazingly, beautifully refreshing first thing in the morning!
I can't get enough of the citrus scent. It's so, so nice. The formula is a grainy, golden, shimmery yellow which gently exfoliates your skin with caffeine, lemon and papaya.
Has been keeping my skin completely clear and feeling soft, smooth and clean.

MOR Sugar Rose Tiger Lily Salt & Sugar Body Scrub
-
There is nothing I love more than a good all over body scrub either in the shower or bath. It makes me feel super clean and refreshed. I feel like my skin easily builds up dead skin cells, so I like to exfoliate almost every night. I have only just started to use this, but already it is a firm favourite.  I LOVE MOR products, they are always so beautiful, almost too good to use. The magenta colour of this tub is adorable and the gold label makes it appear royal. :) I'm sure I don't need to tell you how amazing the scent is. It is like a huge bunch if perfume scented flowers. Loveeeee!  ♡

Rimmel London Apocolips Lip Lacquer in Stellar
-
As you can see, this is the moist amazing, bright, moist shade. I love wearing this everyday or night if on the rare occasion I get to go out. It just brightens up my whole face, makes me look more human, less tired and alive!

Napoleon Perdis DeVine Goddess Lipstick in Serene
-
First off, I love the packaging of this. It's so different and I love how it is clear and acrylic.  The shade is something totally wild, daring and on trend as purple lips are very hot right now.  I feel like this shade really suits my dark eyes and dark hair too.

Bondi Sands Summer Bronze Instant Tan
Light/Medium
-
I was lucky enough to win a whole collection of Bondi Sands goodies not long ago and have been having a lot of fun playing with and trying them out this past month.
I'm loving this product in particular because it is a wash off formula. Meaning at the end of the day I can just wash off the tan in the shower and start fresh the following day. It dries quickly and isn't messy. It doesn't streak and applied evenly and looks so natural. I'm really impressed!

MAC Mineralize Concealer in NW20
-
I am a big lover of MAC. I think their products are top notch, but sadly as they're so over priced here in Australia,  I only own a precious few of their products.
This is one of those products. I was actually very fortunate to receive this in my Blogstar prize pack.  It is a product I had wanted for ages and it is the perfect shade for my skin thankfully. It does a flawless job at concealing any dark circles and aids in contouring to a T. I would love to eventually splurge on the matching foundation and powder. I've heard mixed reviews about them, but would love to try them out for myself.

Max Factor Eyeshadow in Auburn Envy
-
This was included in one of my recent posts about what I keep in my makeup bag.
I use this pretty much daily as the shade is so perfect for everyday wear and can also be build up for a more dramatic night look. It doesn't crease and is such a stunning colour.

OPI Nail Polish in Mod About You
-
This is my 'Go To' nail polish. The colour is so classic and classy.
I adore it. It girlie,  yet subtle and works well when doing a at home french mani or pedi and dries quickly too.

Pantene Pro-V Ice Shine Daily Rinse Off Treatment
-
I trialed and reviewed this as part of Beautyheaven's trial team this past month and I have to say, it has made a noticeable difference to my hairs appearance and texture.

What were your beauty favs for March?

Burts Bees Facial Cleanser! ♡

-
I have been a fan of Burts Bees products for a long time and when I recently received this sample tube of their facial cleanser in the mail I couldn't wait to try it!
-

This swatch of the cleanser shows it to be a clear light lemon colour consistency with small white exfoliating jojoba beads in it. These beads are very sparse which makes this super gentle on the skin. The cleanser also contains Royal jelly which helps skin appear younger.
-
All ingredients are 99% natural which is great for your skin and the environment. Whenever I think of any Burts Bees product, I think of them smelling like honey. It must be because of the classic yellow packaging or the cute little bee mascot. Either way, this cleanser does not smell like honey. It has quite a pleasant, natural smelling scent that I quite enjoy as it makes me feel relaxed as I am cleansing my face.
-
I know warm water is best at opening up your pores for a better cleanse, however,  in the mornings I just have to wash my face with freezing cold water or else I don't wake up. I feel like it gets the blood flowing and totally shocks me into being awake. At night though I like to do the opposite and cleanser with super warm water as it relaxes me after a long hard day.

L'Oréal Paris Nude Magique BB Cream!

I have tried , any BB Creams and really love the difference they make to the appearance of my skin. Beauty Balm creams work to enhance the natural beauty of your skin whilst diminishing slight flaws. I wanted to review this particular BB cream because ever since I first tried it, I have found myself reaching for it more than all the others. This BB cream does an amazing job. As a 5 in 1, it claims to give flawless coverage, perfectly even skin texture, gives a fresh dewy glow, 24 hour hydration and protects with SPF 12.

Before                            After

This photo shows my skin completely makeup free on the left.
On the right i have applied just the L'Oréal Paris Nude Magique BB Cream in "Light Skin Tone".

The cream mimics the texture and glow of perfect bare skin. It is buildable and works perfectly as a foundation base or to be of course worn on its own. It appears a little shimmery when first applied as you may notice in the before and after pics as well as the swatch below. It doesn't however make you look like a disco ball, it is very slight and gives off more of a dewy glow.

The cream is surprisingly white like a moisturiser when first dispensed, but once rubbed in quickly changes colour into a dewy skin toned finish. Simply gorgeous!

Neutrogena Pore Refining Exfoliating Cleanser!

~ NEUTROGENA ~

Review!

Thanks to Beautyheaven and Neutrogena, a few months ago I was given the opportunity to trial and review this new product.
I feel like now that I am well over half way through the bottle and have been using it twice a day, I can feel confident in writing a more detailed review.

The formula of this cleanser is white and creamy. It contains micro beads that feel like sand throughout it generously. These are quite gentle on my skin, so I have found it hasn't irritated my skin using it twice a day. My skin is not sensitive and generally loves a good exfoliation regularly.

My skin has not dried out, but feels moisturised after each use. My skin is acne prone and hasn't broken out and has remained as clear as ever whilst I've been using this.

I wouldn't completely limit using this on just on your face. This is also great as an all over body exfoliant.  Only downside, and it is a minor one and a common concern like with a lot of cleansers, this stings to high hell if you are unlucky enough to get it in your eyes.

As far as this cleanser minimising and refining my pores, I feel like it has made some noticeable difference. One of my main skin pet peeves and concerns of mine is that I have large pores. I believe it has something to do with my skin type and my genes. In the past I have found toners do a pretty good job at keeping my pores clear and minimised at least temporarily. But nothing like permanently minimising them as this cleanser claims. I have noticed a difference where my pores are largest. This being around the tops of my cheeks towards my nose, between my eyebrows, my nose and chin.

I am excited about this new product and definitely recommend giving it a try and don't be disheartened if you don't see a noticeable difference immediately.  Persistence is key with this product.

Kora Organics By Miranda Kerr ♡

I remember way back in 1997, being 13 and buying my very first issue of Dolly magazine with Miranda Kerr on the cover. It was her winning cover after her winning the Dolly Model Competition. Ever since then, even though we are pretty much the same age, I have looked up to her and watched her career take off. We were both born in a small country town not far from each other in NSW and at a time in my life that was extremely trying, I found inspiration and hope in that one day my life would somehow work out and my dreams would too come true. I didn't become a world famous supermodel, but as simple as my life turned out, it was my dream and it came true.

Treasure Yourself
By Miranda Kerr

Recently I was browsing around Target and being the book worm that I am was strolling past the books when one caught my eye. I had no idea Miranda had released another book. I only had about ten seconds to quickly flick through it and from what I could gather it looked much the same to her first. (Only the cover of this book is purple instead of pink) A book filled with motivational, inspiring quotes and empowering facts of life. I wasn't able to purchase the book on this occasion, but hope to sometime in the future as I have her first and found it a calming, self loving read. It's a great book to randomly flick through on days when you're feeling like it's all too much. It can really lift your spirits and help to appreciate and to look on the bright side of life.

Her skin case range, Kora Organics is a natural, nurturing, beautiful smelling range of products. I have only purchased the Day & Night Cream so far as they're quite high up there when it comes to price and my budget is super tight.  The Day & Night Cream feels so beautiful on my skin. I love to use it morning and night on my face and neck. I would use it as an all over body moisturiser but I don't want to use it up too quickly.

Beautorium April 2014 Wishlist! ♡

In case you haven't heard, Beautyheaven, one of the most informative and up to date, fun and friendly beauty websites ever is once again generously opening their doors to its dedicated members for the opportunity to cash in their hard earned points acquired from just hanging around and being active on their site for a wide range of beauty products! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!

Excited doesn't even come to close to how I feel about Beautorium each time it pops around. I have yet been able to resist the urge to spend all of my points and this will be my 4th or 5th time participating? I'm not too sure, I am loosing count, oh dear!

There are 5 categories to shop from. They are...

Skincare - Opens April 10
Makeup - Opens April 8
Hair - Opens April 9
Body - Opens April  11
Hands/Feet/Dental -Opens April 9

Yesterday Beautyheaven announced their Window Shopping Catalogue is now open for viewing. Today I thought I'd share with you what I have my eye on. I usually grab a range of products I know my family and I will use. I don't often splurge on a luxury item for myself, unless it's something amazing. Nothing is jumping out at me this time around so here is what I have my eye on and I will still have points left over, there's a first! Haha!

I have wanted to try these for ages. I'm pretty sure they were also available in the last Beautorium but I didn't have enough points to splurge and get the other items I wanted. I would really like whiter teeth, so I hope these don't sell out too quickly.
This will be by far my biggest points spend, but totally worth it I think. :D

This is a product I have never tried before, but it looks and sounds lovely. Plus, you can never have too much soap in my house! With two kids, a husband and relatives regularly staying over, it's handy to have plenty of spares. I like to give guests new soap when they come to stay. A small detailed gesture, but I think it's a nice one.

I first tried this product when BH sent me the new Nivea Men's Sensitive range to trial for hubby and I also got in and gave the products a go. Then I picked this up in the last Beautorium as a back up for my hubby who is currently using it. So this will be fantastic to pick up again as I know he likes this and will use it.

I use cleansing wipes daily and am always running out, so the fact that BH is offering quite a few different brands, I am going to stock up. I haven't tried these wipes before, so I am looking forward to them.

These wipes are gorgeous!  I was lucky enough to win a pack from Kosmea Instagram and loved them. I am so excited to use these again. Beautiful coloured packaging as well and the snap lid helps keep the wipes fresh and moist.

I think I've picked these up in two separate Beautorium occasions and have also recently received a sample pack in the mail. These wipes are awesome and I highly recommended them.

I picked these up in the previous Beautorium and they lasted me ages! They were perfect to wipe things down around the house to kill germs and keep things fresh and clean.  I also took these out with me in the nappy bag to use on shopping trolleys and my daughters hands after playing around in shopping centres and parks.

To have a handy smaller 10 pack of these will be brilliant to keep in my handbag for germ emergencies, etc. Although this 10 pack and the 80 pack above are priced at the same amount of points which I find a bit odd. Nonetheless both are very cheap and they are high up on my want list, so it doesn't really bother me.

-

Each category opens on different days, so I will probably just wait until all categories are open as I did with the last Beautorium and just grab the items that are left that I'd like. Provided they aren't sold out. There isn't anything I can't live without offered this time around, so if I miss out, that is Ok.  I will just save my points and continue to accumulate more for the next one.

Are you a BH member?
What are you hoping to pick up in Beautorium? :)

I ♡ Forever New!

So I celebrated my 30th birthday in January and received a gift voucher to spend at my favourite clothing store. Forever New. :) They have the most beautiful clothing and accessories a girl could wish for and I would happily buy everything in sight if my budget would permit, unfortunately it doesn't so this is what I purchased.

Navy Maxi Skirt on Sale
Original Price $79.95
Sale Price $49.95

This is how it looks on me.
I paired it with heels as it's very long. I am approx 168cm tall so you can see here it would get ruined if worn with flats. If you're tall, you are lucky in this case. :)

Here is a closer look at what I would wear with this skirt.
The heels are actually my wedding shoes. Swarovski White Satin by Alan Pinkus.
Clutch was a gift so I don't know where it is from.
Headband bought cheap from Diva a million years ago!
OPI Russian Navy Nail Polish.
-
I am loving maxi skirts paired with plain coloured tops, either tight or loose fitting.
They are so comfortable and easy to wear. You can really dress them up or down with just a few accessories.

What fashion trend are you loving right now?
What's your favourite clothing store?

Thanks for stopping by today! xo
