JUNE EMPTIES

~   JUNE EMPTIES   ~

It's that time of the month again! Empties time! That satisfying feeling when you get to throw away
your month's worth of beauty trash and start again for the following month, hopefully popping open
some newbies and finishing off some more not so newies along the way!

This past months stash of empties is definitely significantly smaller than my last few.
I am pretty sure I have finished off just about all of my 'almost empty' products and am now working
through those larger full size bottles which are going to take me some time to get through.
All good fun though! :)

I still feel like I worked through quite a bit this month so let sort through the mess!

Dental/Body Care
Colgate Optic White Express White Toothpaste (Full Size)
I am pretty sure I also used up one of these last month. We somehow managed to have two open at
the same time and this is the second tube used up. Hubby and I share our toothpaste and I guess
together we get through a lot of it! :D
Clever White Dissolving Whitening Strips x2 (Full Size)
I somehow only manage to get through one set of these per month. I just honestly can't get into them.
I really want whiter teeth, but these just feel icky. I don't like them. They say you can just put them
on and go about your day, but I find it works better for me to put them on and then shower so
as they start to get gluggy in my mouth I can just brush my teeth and spit the rest out. I
don't know how they expect you to just go about your day and swallow as they dissolve. Ew!
Schick Intuition Disposible Razor Refil Blade (Full Size) (Review!)
Have been using this razor blade for ages now and still love it. This is my most favourite razor
and highly recommend trying it! The moisture block is genious!

Facial Cleansing & Care
Avon Clear Skin Blemish Clearing Foaming Cleanser (Full Size)
I have lost count of how many bottles of this I have used and I still have a few back ups!
It works so well though. I never have a single zit if I use this twice a day. Highly recommended if
you suffer from acne. It's really cheap too, only a few bucks. My mum keeps sending it to me at xmas...
Lab Series Multi-Action Face Wash (Sample)
A random sample I found amongst my husbands stash of products he will never use, so I took it
upon myself to get rid of it and make some space. From memory as I finished this up really early in
the month, I think it was actually a scrub and worked quite well. I love scrubs and this one had that
potent man smell to it. Definitely a man product!
Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula Multi-Effect Perfecting Facial Oil (Sample)
This product reminds me a bit of Bio Oil. It does pretty much the same thing. I used it on my face as
well as my stomach where I will give anything a go to aid in my stretch marks in that area. It was
really nice actually and I will be looking into purchasing the full size version.

Hair Care
Goldwell Kerasilk Ultra Rich Shampoo (Sample)
Goldwell Kerasilk Ultra Rich Conditioner (Sample)
I somehow ended up with another set of these bottles as I have previously used sample sizes of these
shampoo & conditioner before. They are quite nice. Nothing stood out about them though.
Al'chemy' Lavender & Anthyliss Leave In Conditioner (Sample)
Beautiful product and brand. Use sparingly because that is all your hair will need. It is highly
moisturising and if you use too much your hair will feel greasy and dirty. This sample lasted me a
good 4 washes!
Aveda Damage Remedy Intensive Restructuring Treatment (Sample)
This came in my recent limited edition Bellabox. (Blog post here or you can watch my unboxing
video here.) This is not the first time I have recieved this sample and it is quite nice. A much
needed treat for my slightly stressed out hair.

Body/Facial Moisturisers
Elizabeth Arden Pretty Body Lotion (Full Size)
Smells divine! I have the matching perfume as well which is equally lovely.
Paris Hilton CanCan Body Lotion (Full Size)
Smells really nice. I probably wouldn't purchase again just because there are so many other options
out there and I don't think I will live long enough to try them all.
SugarBaby Frangipani Deluxe Hand Creme (Full Size)
This was one of my most favourite hand cremes. The packaging first of all is so bright and happy!
It also smells delicious and it's just a really cute product and made my hands feel nice. :)
Kosmea Certified Organic Rose Hip Oil (Sample)
Recently sent this by Beautyheaven in a sample pack I won. (Full review of what I got here.)
And I adore this Rose Hip Oil. It is probably the best one I have tried in terms of quick results.
Highly recommend trying if you have stretch marks or scaring.
Dr.LeWinns Day Cream Moisturiser (Sample)
This was also in my Beautyheaven sample pack. Have tried this previously and really enjoyed it.
A nice thick cream, but not too thick and isn't at all greasy. It's like non greasy butter. Feels like
heaven on the skin.

Make-Up
L'Oreal Paris True Match Foundation in Golden Beige (Sample)
Loved this! On my list to purchase once I finished up my 5,000 other bottles of foundation.... or sooner. ;)
I actually really love this primer now. If you watch my review (linked above) you will see me talking
about how I didn't like it. That was me after only using it a short time. Now that I have been using
this for years, I have grown to really love it! Worked brilliantly!

 Overview!
Monthly Tally = x6 Full Size & x12 Samples
Yearly Tally = x73 Full Size & x114 Samples

The Mess = Buh-Bye! :)
Can't wait to try lots of new stuff in July!

MAY FAVS

MAY FAVOURTIES!

Human & Kind Wash Off Cleanser
I have been using this all month and I think my skin is rejoycing! I love the formula and unique way
of using it with the ultra soft and gentle wash off cloth supplied. A truely beautiful product I
recommend giving a go if you're on the market for a new cleanser especially if you have sensitive
skin! (REVIEW!)

I think I have mentioned this in my favourites quite a number of times! I am that passionate about it!
My hair needs extra strength and especailly even more now since I have been having it lightened.
The Tresemme Platinum Strength range in general and this product in particular just makes my hair
feel like virgin hair all over again in an instant by giving it it's strength back as well as adding shine
and softness. (REVIEW!)

Huge, huuuuge fan of this BB Cream! I have tried about a billion BB Creams and this one is
definitely up there. Suprisingly the coverage is actually brilliant! It is even better than some of my
foundations can you believe. I put it down to the 9 in 1 formula as it does everything. I especially am
a fan of it's ability to conceal my pores and acts as the perfect foundation base or primer. (REVIEW!) (BUY!)

Physicians Formula Organic Wear Mascara
Ahh, just look at this mascara's packaging?! I recently received this gorgeous looking product in my
Priceline gift with purchase makeup goodie bag and omg, it is soooo nice! It makes my eyes pop and
doesn't clump up my lashes or make them look all spidery and un-natural. It has lovely short bristles
which make it perfect for those tricky bottom lashes as well. (BUY!)

Essie Polish in 'Pink About It' & 'A Cut Above'
I have been obsessed with Essie polish lately and these two have fast become my go-to favs!
Baby pink in general is my go-to shade for polish anyway and 'Pink About It' combine with
'A Cut Above' just adds a special kind of glam and girlyness to my nails which I just love!

I have previously tried another Puretopia facial moisturiser which was equally great don't get me
wrong. However, this Sensitive Care version is perfect for this time of the year when my skin is
prone to being a little moody and sensitive from the cold weather and change in seasons. My
skin feels extra taken care of and feels a lot calmer when I use this! (BUY!)

Another go-to product is this Maybelline quad. The shades here act as the perfect everyday eye
collection and are appropriate to wear both day and night. These shades can be build up and
give you a killer smokey effect when smudged together. I especially love using the bottom liner
shade as a smudgy eye liner. You could stop traffic I am telling you! ;) (MAKEUP TUTORIAL!)

Australian Bush Flower Essences Love System Intensive Eye Serum
I have noticed especially over the past 3-5 years my eye area definitely needing a bit of love!
This skin treatment for your eyes is going to last forever! The bottle size compared to the tiny
amound needed for the eye area is amazing and is feels, smells and give real results. I have been
using this for a few months now and I can already see the lines around my eyes have tightened
and faded slightly!! Made from actual rose stem cells as one of it's ingredients, I just love that
clever concept! (REVIEW!)

This is another product I picked up when I received the Priceline goodie bag. (Actually my
husband picked it out as it was my Mother's Day present!) It is actually an eyeshadow trio,
however I have been using it on my cheeks as a highlighter/blush/illuminiator. It is incredibly
pretty, I just adore the soft pinks! (BUY!)

Scunci Hair Accessories Braided Black Hair Ties
My hair is thick and can be totally unruley. Especially in the mornings when it appears to
have had a life of it's own (Partying hard I suspect by the looks of it!) whilst I have slept.
So to have these Scunci thick and strong hair ties on hand to sort it out so I can sort myself
out during my busy mornings as a mum is a must! I can just rely on these to get my hair
out of the way when I am in a hurry and I can be as rough as I like and there is no way
ever these are going to break on me. They are brilliant!

Well, I know this post is super late!
I aim to have my June favs up later today so then I will be completely caught up again!
:)

RIMMEL LONDON

RIMMEL LONDON

Oh My Gloss!!

In

Glossaholic & Pin Up!

I don't know about you but I love my lips to appear glossy over matte. I know the matte lip look
seems to be more on trend and what everyone seems to be raving on about lately, however I just can't
get past that dewy shine and dump my trusty glossies!

Recently I have been trying out some newbies from Rimmel London's 'Oh My Gloss' range in these
two gorgeous pink shades and before I even tried them on I instantly fell head over heels for the
vibrant pink shades. I am loyal to the pink lip through and though. x

Glossaholic
This shade is defininitely an everyday, very wearable for any occasion kind of gloss.
The bubblegum pink give a touch of life and colour to your lips whilst still looking natural and
like your own lip colour only a little enhanced with a tint of baby pink and shine.

The formulation of these glosses are only very slightly sticky, but mostly feel very smooth on your
lips. It only has a tiny scent of what I can only think to describe as play doh. Barely noticable though!

Pin Up
This shade is more on the daring side for those confident and sassy ladies who like to stand out from
the crowd. This hot pink shade is one I wear a lot as it is nice and bright and awakens my whole face,
especially on days when I am looking a little laklustre.

These glosses can be worn over your lipstick but also work perfectly well worn on their own.
With a promised 6hr wear time, for a gloss, that is pretty impressive. If I didn't feel the need for a
meal or two inbetween those six hours I am sure the gloss would last. However so far in my
experience I have had to re-apply after eating and drinking. To be expected, so I am not suprised.

Other shades in this collection include -
Love Bug
Purrr...Glossy Cat
Snog
Oh La La
Rebel Red
Crystal Clear

Currently available to purchase from Priceline for RRP: $13.95each.

-   -   -

This is a great way to add a little something extra to your plain old pony tail. I like that the colour I have in the black isn't too in your face and adds a subtle girly touch to my look.

The bow seems to be made really well and doesn't flop or droop once I have it placed in my hair. It's nice and firm and holds it's own. The black elactic is also nice and strong and doesn't appear or feel as though it is going to snap or lose it's elasticity any time soon.

A great fashionable piece which can be worn from day into the night straight from the office to the town. Very nice I love this and suitable for all ages and most hair types. :)

I have used Dr.LeWinns moisturiser for years after first discovering it in my early twenties. After using up my first tub I was hooked. It is such a good moisturiser to use daily and it really delivers. My skin always feels lovely when I use this as oppose to when I don't. I can really see and feel the difference as this daily moisturiser makes my skin feel softer and it just looks healthier and more youthful and alive!

The white creamy formula isn't too thick or runny and soaks into my skin like hydrating a desert! It is virtually scent free so it doesn't irritate my skin or nose and the contents inside the tub don't turn a weird colour or consistency as some others have in the past when I've had them open for a while. This seems to just stay nice and fresh!

I recommend seeing if you can pick up one of their little sample tubs to try out if you can to see how great it really is. If not, I would just purchase the full size, you won't regret it! :)

Kosmea Certified Organic Rose Hip Oil
Having used this once before and now just receiving another sample of this to try I am seriously considering purchasing it full size! I have used quite a number of different Rose Hip Oil's but nothing compares to how quickly I saw actual results in the scaring on my stomach from having two kids. I have tried just about everything to try and makes those annoying stretch marks go away and nothing does much. I moisturise daily which has helped them to fade quite a bit, but when I used this Kosmea oil at night after my shower, by morning after inspecting my belly, I actually could see a significant fade in the appearance of my stretch marks and that was only after the first use!!

I feel like this Rose Hip Oil is very concentrated and pure as you only need a tiny few dops and it will spread out onto your skin and go a long way soaking in and making you skin feel a soft a dough.

With the added benefits of being highly moisturising, a wrinkle fighter and an aid in sun damaged skin, I don't know why I haven't purchased this yet! It's a must for me and I will be sad when my sample runs out!

I have used these wipes previously and recently received a few more samples to try and since it had been a while since I first tried these with negative effect, I decided to give them a second chance since there are quite a few positive reviews, I thought perhaps I should try these again.

I don't feel like these are a product I need to use daily. However I can see the possible benefits of having these on hand for days after being at the gym, working out, traveling or staying overnight somewhere or camping.

The sensation the formula from these wipes gives is not really comforting for my delicate area, however someone else mentioned these after having a baby and having had two myself, I can say that I would agree, these would be great to have to take to the hospital with you and to have afterwards to help keep that area clean and smelling fresh again, especially if you had had stitches, they were a nightmare!

Overall I feel like these a great for certain situations, just not as a daily wipe. :)

Al'chemy Lavender & Anthyliss Leave-In Conditioner
I have long, dry and highlighted hair which needs a little extra TLC on a regular basis. Based on other reviews from this product and from researching it I realised it only works best it used sparingly as a little bit of this product distribues evenly though your hair without having to use a whole dollop of it.

The 10ml sachet I am currently using is a very generous sample size considering I am onto my 3rd wash with it and am seeing positive results. My hair and in particular the ends are so much softer and less course and dry.

As with conditioner in general, be careful not to apply any of it to the roots of your hair or you will instantly feel it weighing you down and once dry your hair will feel oily which is scary if you already have oil prone, thin or flat hair.

I find the way I use it to be a winner. It really works wonders and the scent it uplifting and relaxing as I shower.

Durex Real Feel Condoms
I used these previously after having my babies and they work great!
Do the job and you can't even feel them. Durable and don't break or dry out. Are super thin so I did
worry a little that they might break, but they didn't. Phew! Now more babies just yet thank you! ;)

PUKKA

~  PUKKA  TEA  ~

This time of the year brings many things. Cold weather, fog, wolly socks, snuggly blankets, hot
soup and hot tea. Thank goodness for hot tea's to make me not only feel nice and warm on the inside,
but to also make me feel good from the inside! This time of the year also seems to bring sickness
and the sniffles to our whole household! Blah!

These Revitalise and Three Ginger Pukka teas have been a welcome addition to my daily routine
because they smell amazing, make me feel energized and feeling more like my old self again.

Revitalise -
This flavour is my absolute favoutite of these two because it smells incredibly comforting even before I have added water and stirred. The blend of organic cinnamon, cardamom
and ginger give it a yummy, delicious scent and flavour with a hint of organge peel, elderflower,
licorice root, sencha green tea, spearment leaf, clove bud and black peppercorn.

Brings the bounce back into your step when you are feeling low on energy and motivation
even though Pukka teas are caffine free! Pretty amazing and makes me feel great about drinking
it completely guilt free! :)

Three Ginger -
I have never been too fond of ginger until I experienced the unbearable
discomforting feeling of morning sickness. It took about a millisecond for me to decide I'd rather eat ginger by  the whole root then bear another minute of feeling like all of my insides are about to come shooting out of my mouth without hesitation. No matter how horrid the taste!
(Ginger works miracles if your stomach feels uneasy.)

Over the years ginger and I have become quite friendly as I have come to really appreciate it.
This tea's scent is milder than the Revitalise but stick packs a punch when it comes to it's flavour.

With a blend of organic ginger, galangal and golden turmeric this tea is beautifully strong and
whilst I have been all snuffly and feeling rotten, this tea makes my head feel less heavy and my body
not as weak. When you can't stomach anything else, this should help. Also contains licorice root.

Pukka tea's also come in a wide variety of other flavours including
After Dinner, Cleanse, Detox with Lemon, Gorgeous Earl Grey, Chamomile Vanilla & Manuka
Honey, Cool Mint Green Tea, Elderberry & Echinacea w/Elderflower, Lemon & Mandarin, Clean
Green Tea, Detox, ElegantEnglish Breakfast, Lemon Ginger & Manuka Honey, Lemongrass &
Ginger, Love, Relax, SereneJasmine Green Tea, Licorice& Cinnamon, Peppermint & Licorice, Star
Anise & Cinnamon, LivelyEnglish Breakfast, Refresh, Rooibos & Honeybush, Supreme Matcha
Green Tea, Three Cinnamon, Three Green Tea, Womankind, Three Fennel, Vanilla Chai, Wild
Apple & Cinnamon.

RRP: $7.95ea (20 sachets per box!)

BELLABOX

BELLABOX

JUNE 2015

LIMITED EDITION!

http://www.bellabox.com.au

Ah don't you just love subscription boxes? Fun little boxes filled with hours of play for us beauty lovers!

This month Bellabox are offering new members a very special limited edition box filled with
products from Aveda, Burt's Bees, Jean Patou, Original Source and Universal Beauty Cosmetics
for only $17.95 and includes 3 full size products! One of the full size products, the Original Source
was so large they had to ship it in a larger box! (The brown one. See pic below!) Normally Bellabox
ships their monthly goodies in the well known classic blue box. (Also pictured below.)

Having my own beauty blog, of course I must be obsessed with beauty and try a lot of new products
all the time. However I would be stone broke if it weren't for subscription boxes who make it so
convenient to be able to try a variety of newbies each month in the comfort of my own home in both
sample and full size for such an affordable price. I am a firm believer in the 'try before you buy' philosophy!

I couldn't wait to tear open the tissue paper of this month's box and see what was inside!
Bellabox always seem to have useful as well as fun products inside which is great and the smaller
size products make perfect travelling companions because I can still pack everything without
weighing down my bag and making it heavy or bulky! Yay!

As you can see below this month's special limited edition box for new members only comes with
a total of 5 products! I am particularly excited to try the Original Source Skin Quench All In One
Moisturising Shower Gel in Blackcurrent & Moringa Oil. It smells so yum! :)

Let's get into the rest of the products! Squweeee!!

Aveda Damage Remedy Intensive Restructuring Treatment (SAMPLE)
I have used this and a few other Aveda products in sample form in the past and have always been
happy with them. This one is going to be great for my hair at the moment as it has had a bit of
damage done to it recently with my massive dose of blonde highlights! I am looking forward to
some hair care repair! (10ml)

Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm with Vitamin E & Peppermint (FULL SIZE)
Straight away you can smell the peppermint in this product. You can also feel the minty sensation
on your lips once you have applied it and BOY can you taste it! haha What? I had to try it! ;)
It isn't unpleasant though and I actually think it could work well to help keep my breathe fresh as well! Win, win because it also moisturises and soothes your lips which has been great for my wind
chapped lips lately! (4.25g)

Jean Patou '1000' Eau De Parfum (SAMPLE)
Mmmm peeeeeerfumee! A luxury I rarely get to treat myself to since becoming a mummy.
I used to purchase a new fragrance about once a month back when my life was simple and I would
drown myself before heading out the door. These days I usually only get to try the odd sample here
and there which actually works great because I don't often do anything fancy enough to wear it!
This one's scent is lovely and mature and to me smells a little musky. It contains Chinese Osmanthus,
Rose & Jasmine from Grasse. (1.5ml)

Original Source Skin Quench All In One Moisturising Shower Gel in Blackcurrent & Moringa Oil (FULL SIZE)
Shower gels seem to be the main product I run out of the most. If the kids run out of bubble bath then
I just squirt whatever I have in the shower that I am using at that time to get them through and when
hubby runs out of his man soap he uses whatever I have. Usually cringing at the fancy scent! (Men!
Seriously why do you not love candy & cupcake scented things?) ;)
This shower gel contains solf yellow oil beads and is 100% naturally fragranced. I can't wait for this
delicious blackcurrent scent to overtake my bathroom tonight! (250ml)

Universal Beauty Cosmetics Tint Stick in Siren (FULL SIZE)
I am mostly drawn to pink lip shades, however I have quite a few classic reds in my collection
which I have to admit probably suit my skintone and overall look more and I love how timeless
red lippy is. Now matter what red lips have and always will be in style.
This lip product is actually a tint! You would never guess it though as from my swatch below the
shade is so pigmented and vibrant! This is the first time I have heard of this brand before and I am
so impressed! The formula does not smudge off or smear. It doesn't even fade throughout the day!!
The applicator is like a soft texta and the thin shape makes it so easy to apply neatly. I'm a fan! (1.4g)

 SWATCHED!

ON THE LIPS!

Don't forget if you want to get your hands on this very special limited edition June box especially just for new members make sure you sign up now so you don't miss out!
