Time to get your romance on - it's Valentine's Day tomorrow!! If you've been following my Instagram
you may have noticed my love theme going on over there giving you a few ideas to get your prepped
and ready for the day of love. 

Today I am just bursting to tell you all about this romantic aromatic glorious soy wax scented candle 
which is packaged like luxury in this sturdy black box presented complete with an organza coloured 
ribbon and  neat little bow on the top. There are 11 different scents to choose from at The Treasury Of
 Candles and each is presented with a different coloured ribbon.

As I am a bit of a vanilla nut, of course I was drawn to choose the Vanilla Bean scented candle and my
goodness does it smell like a vanilla lovers dream!

Housed in a tall white recyclable glass with shiny gold lid. It really is a beauty! These Treasury candles
 have a super long burn time of up to 80 hours! That's at least 8 bubble baths long! ;)


Now for the fun part! What makes this candle so unique is that there is a hidden treasure inside!
In each candle there is a ring valued from between $25 - $7,500! 

Impatient as anything I lit my candle and waited for what seemed like forever until I finally saw 
something silver poking up from underneath the melted wax. Ok, so I only wait about an hour until I
saw something, grabbed my tweezers and started tugging and digging to get it out!


Low and behold as you can see in the image below, the ring is securely wrapped inside a snap tight 
clear plastic bag and then wrapped agin in some foil.

The tag on my ring says it is a size 7 which I guess is the average size for most people. However it is a
bit big for me and fits most comfortably on my pointer finger next to my thumb. 

It is a lovely ring with 5 emerald green gems set in silver and according to The Treasuring Of
Candles website is valued at $79!

However I have to disagree. Not just because I am in fact a woman and understand us completely!

a bit of effort.

Personally, at the moment I am all into Rose Gold things. However, make sure you suss
out your womans preferred jewellery colour first. It might be gold or silver!

buy perfume! Truth!

GHD Rose Gold Limited Edition Straightener
If she straightens her hair regularly and it's not a GHD, I recommend splurging on one
for her. If we don't own one, we all want one and they are available in a range of different
colours including turquoise and purple so go with a colour that she loves!

Clinique Party Lips & Nails
Lipsticks and nail polish are no brainers for most women.
Clinique is a lovely brand that make top quality products. She is sure to love
some pretty new shades to play with and appreciate you going into the women's department
to purchase them! Or if that sounds too much, you can always purchase online!

DECLUTTER


~ M Y   D E - C L U T T E R   T I P S ! ~
          
                             Love your space!


1.) Do I really LOVE this? Not just like but love!
If the answer is honestly no, take a deep breath, don't think twice about it.
Dump it straight out into the wheelie bin where you can't be tempted
to dig it back out again!

2.) Does it serve a purpose? If it's just collecting dust, bin it - NOW!
Seriously, stop reading this, get up, go get it and chuck it outside into the bin!
Then make sure you come back and get all comfy again and finish reading this,
so (hopefully!) you'll be all motivated & inspired by the end. :)

3.) Think about a colour scheme for your house or for each room if you
can't narrow it down enough.
For example- My daughters room is primarily pink and my son's is blue.
Then the rest of the house is black, white & grey with a splash of baby light pink
here and there for an extra feminine touch.
Now take a look around. Pick the random stuff out that doesn't match or fit in.
If you absolutely need it or it has mega sentimental value to you.
Ok, fair game. Store the must have, like the crazy purple vacuum away.
(No one wants to see your cleaning products- boring!)
And that precious painting your great, great grandfather did you inherited-
find a frame to suit your decor and give it a special place to honour his memory.

4.) Shop your home. Do this room by room.
Pretend when you walk into a room that you're entering a shop.
Take a look around. What would you actually pick up, put into your trolley
and pay money for? If they're worthless to you, pick up your washing basket, 
fill it up and dump it out into the wheelie bin or straight into the boot of your car to
donate. Don't you DARE open that boot back up until you're at the place you're
dropping your unwanted stuff off to and even then, close your eyes if you have to,
if you think you might be tempted to buckle and keep this or that- just in case!
Don't pay any attention to the stuff you're donating, just do it quickly and get back
in the car and drive away!!

5.) Be strict!
Replace the old with the new. DO NOT buy additional items!
If you have to purchase a new decor peice or clothing item.
Go through and get rid of something before you hit the shops!
You'll feel much better when you come home with those shopping bags
knowing there is space for all your new purchases!
Bonus Tip!
Aim to completely fill both wheelie bins (normal & recycle)
by each bin day. I know I've done a good job of de-cluttering
if this happens!  :)

DINING ROOM UPDATE


~ DINING ROOM ~

Hauled from IKEA!

Like a breath of fresh air, I instantly feel both energised and calm
at the same time when something in my home is updated.
It makes me so happy to be rid of my old, outdated and totally just not me
decor and in with a brand new style that lifts my mood whenever I see it. 

This is the Glivarp table and Henriksdal chairs with washable covers (perfect with grubby
young kids around!) match perfectly with the rest of my updated decor.
The chair covers are an exact match to our new couch so that was a lucky
find and I am beyond stoked about that!

As you can see we only have 3 chairs which looks a bit odd.
Unfortunately there were only 3 left in stock so we have to go back
sometime in the coming weeks to pick up the fourth chair.

The table has a clear top which extends and will eventually match the coffee
 table I have my eye on which is basically identical, only coffee table size! :)
The chrome/mirrored frame tie in with the bedsides and vanity in our
bedroom and the Morum rug just makes it all look a bit more cozy and elegant,
instead of just having the white tiles completely exposed underneath
and around the dining area.

My vase (purchased from Target) is not new, but I think it looks perfect in the space.
The placemat it sits on I purchased in a previous haul.
I'd like to add some nice placemats for each setting and perhaps a table runner
to help keep the table from getting scratches etc.
But for now I am in love and very happy!

Flowers courtesy of my beautiful husband who has been so kind
spoiling me lately as we've all been quite sick lately.
(Hence why I am a bit behind in my posts, so sorry!)

Decor Lighting


~ Carys 160cm Floor Lamp ~

I am obsessed with home decor and this is my new baby to the lounge room! 
Silver, crystals & a statement peice, totally up my alley!

On a recent trip to Bunnings for something else completely unrelated,
we stumbled across a table with a heap of marked down lighting pieces.

This floor lamp caught my eye for obvious reasons, it is just stunning!
Marked down to just $70 from $199. Happy days!!


So since this purchase was totally not planned once we got home, as we rent in
a pretty small unit we had to do a bit of rearranging to accommodate it! Oops!

All has worked out now though and it matches well with the other pieces in the room.
Of course there is still a lot of work to do to make the space look anywhere near
to how I am envisioning it, but progress has been made and I can't stop staring at
it!

Now to convince my husband that a chandelier in the bedroom is a good idea.... :D

SABCO

Recently I was given the opportunity to try and review this amazing
Sabco cleaning product. As a busy mum, time is precious, so any extra help
I can get is gold! I LOVE my house to be clean and organized and pretty much
picture perfect. But does it EVER look like that? Ha! What do you think? ;)

Most of us know as much as we try, we can never get our homes perfectly
clean 100% of the time. I must experience de-ja-vu at least 50 times a day
as I clean up after my husband, my 3 year old and my 10 month old.

It's like a constant one baby step forward and three giant steps backwards as
I just finish fixing/cleaning/organizing something, I turn around and something
else has been completely strewn across the floor/spilled/tipped over/smashed....
you get the idea! 

This is my life 24/7! This is simply being a parent, and I love it!
(Mostly!)

The ball is relatively light and rolls around fairly quietly & freely inside the cage.
It appears to wander in random directions but upon going about my day
still being aware of it I noticed it had covered quite a distance around my
tiled floor. It says on a full charge it will clean sixty square meters!!

The two buttons you see on the ball indicate the on and off switch.
You can press the green button a number of times to set the ball for
30, 60 or 90 minutes. 

I love that I can just put this on to charge and it is ready to go
whenever I need it with no annoying cords laying around my floor.
With two young children, this is much safer and gives me more time to
spend with them. It is recommended to charge the ball for approx three hours.

So as you can see the microfibre pad does an amazing job at
picking up more dust and pet hair than I even knew was there!
Everything it picks up sticks to the fibers like a magnet.
The pad easily detaches from the plastic crate which is held 
together with small velcro spots. Just pop it in the wash and
 it's ready to use over and over again!

ACRYLIC HAUL


~ Acrylic Storage Haul ~

Hands up if you love a bargain!
Keep them up if you are in need of organization & storage ideas!
Welcome to my life! Haha!

Recently an Aldi catalogue landed in my letterbox which rarely occurs so most
of the time I am unaware and miss out on all the usual deals they have.
I am so happy it came my way this time though because they had some
great prices on a range of acrylic storage products which are one
of my favourite kinds of materials to use for smaller storage items.
Mainly because acrylic is a much nicer, better quality material
than just plain plastic. It is stronger, clearer and lasts longer.

The acrylic items they had advertised included...
Shower Caddy - $49.99
Cosmetics or Jewellery Organizer - $12.99
Tissue Box - $12.99
Earring Holder Box - $12.99
Stackable Cubes - $12.99

Unfortunately my local Aldi only had the Earring Holder Box & Stackable Cubes.
I am so happy with them both though!

Now you're probably wondering what that extra set of draws are doing there?
Well since my Aldi didn't have a big range available, I came across these very
similar looking, smaller set of draws in K-Mart. 
Unfortunately they're just plastic, not acrylic, but I still really love the
design of them and they are the perfect size to store my most reached for everyday
makeup items of the moment in my bathroom for quick and easy use! :)

Aldi - $12.99
The earring holder box I am planning to use
to store either cosmetics or small sample tubes & sachets, etc.
I own way too many earrings for this small container to hold!
I think it's a brilliant design though because it keeps your items free from dust
and getting ruined.

I love the stackable cubes because they are versatile.
You can stack them or not stack them or buy more to make different shapes 
with them. The acrylic is so thick, you could almost think it is glass only
it won't smash or shatter! Whoohoo! 

Total spend - $35.00!
A total bargain if you are aware of regular acrylic prices
which are much higher!

WHATS ON MY BEDSIDE TABLE TAG

~ What's On My Bedside Table ~

Tag!
Since there is minimal space on top of my bedside table and with my lamp 
taking up the majority of space, I prefer to keep it as clutter free as I can.
As you can see, I only keep the bare essentials. 

Lamp
I have no idea where you can purchase these lamps as I was gifted two of
them from my mum years and years ago! I love the soft pink colour mixed with
the white shade and the flower is just a hair/brooch I added for an extra girlie touch! 

Baby Monitor
Three years ago when I was pregnant with my first, my workmates all pitched
in to buy me this baby monitor.  It been awesome, no problems with it at all.
I couldn't go to sleep without it by my side to keep an eye and ear on my little ones
through the night.

Clean Sweep Book
This book I have purposely kept here to keep me constantly reminded of all the
cleaning and de-cluttering I still need to do. It is an amazing source of tips and
tricks to help you clean and organize just about anything!!

Samsung Android Phone
I don't seem to have much luck with mobile phones.
My last two broke from my little miss dropping them. *sigh*
Hopefully this one lasts longer than a few months, I am quite liking it and
it's such a pain to change all the time. Am keen to update the case to a more sparkly
design though. :)
