SALLY HANSEN

SALLY HANSEN

Delicate Decadence Collection!

http://au.sallyhansen.com

I am one of those people who feel naked and 'not ready yet' unless my nails have been painted and
I have some kind of makeup on before leaving the house. Even if it's just bb cream, lip balm and
mascara. Being a girl is the best fun and I love having the freedom and passion to be able to do these
things.

So if you're anything like me then you'll love these Sally Hansen 2-step gel nail polishes which are
made up of half regular nail lacquer and half gel formula which gives you the shine, bold colour and
long lasting result of an expensive professional gel manicure without the need for an LED light and
these are WAY easier to remove! They glide off just like normal nail polish which is much gentler on
your nails at the end of the day and keeps them strong and healthy.

This new collection of shades from the 'Delicate Decadence' collection consists of 6 shades.
Mauve-olous and Wine Stock (not pictured) as well as Plush Blush, Regal Rose, Pink Up and
Prince Char-mint. (Front top left to right pictured below)

These polishes give a beautiful shine even on their own without the gel top coat, however I have
found using the top coat makes all the difference in making these last twice as long and gives an
even higher glossier shine. Highly recommend not going without it!

Sally Hansen nail lacquers are available to purchase from Priceline, Priceline Pharmacy, Target,
Chemist Warehouse and Terry White Chemists Australia wide for a current RRP $16.95 each.

What nail colours are you flaunting this season?

COLOUR THEORY

COLOUR THEORY

Under $10.00!

Everyday Budget Makeup Products!

http://www.amcal.com.au/colour-theory

I love love love makeup! To be fair, I do tend to concentrate more on creating myself a clear and
healthy base by focusing on my skincare routine, however when it's time to let loose and have some
fun, in my down time there is nothing more I love to do but play with my makeup stash. Usually with
my 5 and 3 year olds digging their little hands into my drawers faster than I can say don't draw on the
mirror with that lipstick! (Too late!)

Basic essentials that are crazy affordable and actually worth your money are few and far between.
Recently I discovered this brand called Colour Theory which has an impressive range of products
and colours which are hard to resist and all locally available to purchase from your handy Amcal
chemist.

_ _ _

Colour Theory Nail Polish in Apres Ski - $4.00
This berry bright tone is a fun shade I like to wear mainly on my toes. I seem to stick mainly to the
pinks and neutrals lately when it comes to nail polish. However on my toes I tend to be more daring!

The formula of this polish is quite good for such a bargain budget buy! I only needed to apply two
neat coats for complete pigmentation with the polish lasting nicely before chipping after a good few
days.

Colour Theory Nail Polish in Cashmere Kisses - $4.00
This barely there soft pink is more my kind of everyday flavour. It is so classy and elegant. I just
adore the girlie polished effect it has to my over all daily look.

Colour Theory Jumbo Lip Crayon in Rosewood - $8.00
I honestly am not sure why I don't own more of these types of 'Lip Crayon' type of lipsticks. They
are not only a nostalgic shape which reminds me of the many hours spent colouring in colour books
on my bedroom floor with very similar looking crayons when I was young. The design of these
lip products are also very cleverly thought out in my opinion as they are such an easy to apply shape
to apply to the lips. (Use in conjunction with a matching lip liner like the one below for a longer
lasting, more defined lip shape.)

Colour Theory Lip Liner in Red-Y Steady Go - $6.00
When I use this with the Rosewood Lip Crayon above, the two together are the perfect match! So
take not if you're after a classic red lip duo, this is a brilliant buy! Not only is this product a complete
bargain, the product itself if so smooth and doesn't dry out your lips at all. I like to line my lips for a
slightly fuller effect and then fill the rest of my lips in lightly with this, then I will go over them in a
blotting motion with the lip crayon. It gives the most amazing sexy pout! You need to try it. :)

Colour Theory Colour Corrector - $10.00
This little baby is something I now use every time I wear my makeup! Colour correcting has always
seemed a bit complicated to me, as I feel like my skin tone has always been pretty even. However
this colourful blend has a mix to combat all of those pesky skin issues we might not even realise we
have until we can see a positive difference once we're actually using a product like this!

With a blend of green which fixes redness which I do occasionally get popping up on my neck for
whatever reason is a complete mystery to me. There is also pink to brighten and lighten the skin,
purple for uneven under tones and orange which also evens the skin's tone and lightens darker areas
like freckles, sun spots or dark circles. Blended all together with the white powder it works great at
setting makeup and can additionally be used as a primer! Clever little thing! I am just loving this
right now!

Colour Theory Eyeshadow Palette - $10.00
There is something creative and addictive when it comes to eyeshadows. They're like a paint palette
for grown ups in powder form for our faces instead of just paper. I was a bit of a painter as a kid, so
I can see how the passion had led to makeup artistry, however basic I am with my skills!

This set is a gorgeous array of pastel to mid toned colours. I am liking these for my day time look
which is pretty simple but still a bit fun. As you can see from my arm swatch below, the shades are on
the lighter side, however when applied with a damp flat shadow brush and then blended with a
slightly larger fluffy one, the colours come out much bolder and are easily buildable.

Colour Theory makeup ranges in even more products including, eyeliner, lipstick, lip gloss, tinted
moisturiser, mascara and more! Prices start from as little as $4.00 and a max of $10! You really can't
loose! Available Australia wide from you local Amcal Pharmacy!

I am a huge fan of OPI and their little mini packs! They are so cute and great to get a feel for the new
shades they release and figure out weather it's worth purchasing one full size. This mini pack is a set
of four shades. Every now and then you will find OPI releases their mini collections in a range from
four, six or even ten different shades.

The four shades in this pack are called...
'We The Female' - A blood cherry red. Sexy and powerful. This shade is my favourite!
'Pale To The Chief' - A barely there nude cream. Solid in colour, perfect for a classy occasion.
'CIA = Color Is Awesome' - Bold, daring and mysterious! Love this rebel shade!
'Never A Dulles Moment - Even bolder and more daring! Wear this shade to stand out in a crowd!

I love the red and pale pink shades and find myself reaching for these two shades the most!

There are a total of 15 shades you can find from this collection in their full size 15ml bottles.
The four shades mentioned above plus these ones below.

Madam President
OPI By Popular Vote

L'OREAL

L'OREAL PARIS

Infallible Pastel Gel Nail Duo Colour
&
Color Riche Brights Trio

Swatches & Review!

L'Oreal Paris Pastel Duel Ended Gel Nail Lacquers!

This new range of L'Oreal nail polishes are so great because you really get everything you need all
in one place! With the The pastel duel ended gel nail lacquers which have the base coat and the top
coat all in one! The duel ended packaging houses the two polishes in each end which come out easily
and look just like the regular Le Vernis L'Oreal polishes you can buy individually.
I have recently been loving my 3 new shades in #42 "Unlimited Lollipink", #40 "Marshmallow Power" and #43 "Endless Candyheart" which are all pastel light shades and oh so pretty! My favourite being the Unlimited Lollipink!

#42 Unlimited Lollipink

#40 Marshmallow Power

#43 Endless Candyheart

The gel formula is quite thick so I like to apply two thin coats over the clear base first. However one single thick coat will also work well and either way the polish dries super fast which is fantastic for such a thick formulation!
These also do not have a hugely potent nail varnish scent which is handy when getting in close for a nice neat finish or when you're doing nail art! Personally the scent of nail polish barely resonates with my nose, however I am thankful with these are the hubby and cat aren't big fans!
These have a nice thin to medium shaped brush and the long cubed shade makes them easy to store. Alternatively you can also just pop them out of each end and store them with the rest of your Le Vernis polishes of the same size to keep your collection looking uniform.

Each retails for $12.95 each available at Priceline stores & online.

L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Brights!

On the opposite end of the colour wheel are these stunning new brights in the shades #240 Pop Corn,
#242 Pink O Pop and #241 Cloud Wow. Like the pastels above, these too have a pretty thick formula
making them knock you out right away with one simple coat of lacquer.

The bottles are a cute 5ml each making them scarily easy to collect and store without taking up a ton
of space! These are a great new addition to the regular shades and glitter top coats already available.

Each retail for only $3.98 each available at Priceline stores and online.

MIRACLE GEL

~  SALLY HANSEN  ~

Miracle Gel
Available in a total of 28+ gorgeous shades! (Shop!)

I have always been a bit (okay a lot) obsessed with nail polish even since I was a little girl.
Fast forward to my teens when I discovered nail polish came in glitter variations and the obsession
grew even more.

Nail lacquer seems to be one beauty item that never goes out of fashion. Sure the shades change from
season to season and some like your classic red or pink stay year round. However the actual formula
of nail polish I feel has pretty much stayed the same and has taken a long time to evolve.

Moving forward into my early 30's and I welcome with open palms the evolution that is Gel manis!

Gel polish is still relatively new so just in case you're wondering what the difference actually is, let
me quickly bring you up to speed.

Gel polish is different because it dries faster, gives a more opaque colour and most importantly it lasts
about ten times longer than your average nail polish in a bottle.

I have only ever tried one other gel polish and even though I didn't mind it did require the use of an
LED light and heavy soaking of each nail to remove it. Not everybody has time for that, even if it
does last longer without chipping. (Including me!)

This is where Sally Hansen's Miracle Gel polish is different.

It does not require any other fancy accessories to get the same results. It dries super fast out in the
open air and with just one coat appears to have had at least 2-3. (See pic below!)

Left to right! - Teal Twin, Blue Hue & Get It Bright!

Add the shiny clear top coat and you're good for up to two weeks (or longer depending on how much
work your hands/nails go through) without chipping or peeling.

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel is available to purchase in store at Priceline, K-Mart, Target, Coles,
Woolworths & Chemist Warehouse and has a current RRP for this 2 pack of - $19.95!

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat - $16.95 (Shop!)

Other shades available include - Birthday Suit, Pinky Promise, Pinky Rings, Pretty Piggy, Pink Tank,
All Chalked Up, B Girl, Greyfitti, Street Flair, Shock Wave, Tidal Wave, Sugar Fix, Malibu Peach,
Dig Fig, Get Mod, Blacky O, Red Eye, Tan-acious, Creme De La Creme, Mad Women, Game Of
Chromes, Hunger Flames, Spice Age, Rhapsody Red, Tipsy Gypsy, Boho A Go-Go, Mintage, Fish
Teal-Braid...

OPI VENICE

~  OPI  ~

Venice Mini Collection!

What a breath taking experience it would be to wander the cobble stone streets getting lost amongst
the grand historic buildings vastly rich in overflowing history. Venice is a place I have always wanted
to visit. Traveling the globe at this time in my life is just not a luxury that I can see happening any
time soon. So in the meantime indulging in inspiring designs in beauty from places around the
world such as this Fall/Winter mini collection from OPI, I can feel a small connection to the
place with a hint of glamour and a lot of beauty.

Swatched below from top left to bottom right are the shades which I will speak a little about each
below.

Amore At The Grand Canal
This classic bold red has me feeling like a royal tourist in my Venice daydreams.
This is such a rich shade which I found to be slightly darker than OPI's iconic 'Red' shade.
Loving this one for anytime of the day, night, season or occasion.

Worth A Pretty Penne
You know how I love my shimmer and this shade to me looks like a mix of glitzy rose gold copper.
It is simply gorgeous and definitely my favourite of the four. It goes with everything!

My Gondola Or Yours?
The fashionable black has me feeling mysterious and vampy. Reminds me of Angelina Jolie in the
movie 'The Tourist' with Johnny Depp. If you haven't seen that movie I highly recommend doing so.
It's shot in Venice and those two are a strangely perfect match in my opinion and two of my absolute
fav actors of all time!

A Great Opera-Tunity
Honestly, not my favourite colour nor one I would go for. The pale peachy hue just doesn't do enough
for me. I much prefer bright bolds, timeless natural classics and shimmer/glitters. I just found this
shade a little boring. But great for those who like very subtle or nude nails which don't draw any
attention.

You can find this collection currently at Myer, David Jones, selected pharmacies and stores for a
RRP - $24.95 (Buy!)

BOE PROFESSIONAL

~  Boe Professional  ~

Makeup Basic Essential Recommendations!

http://www.boeprofessional.com.au

Jumbo Eyeliner & Sharpener in 'Chocolate'
Over the past few years since I mastered the technique of applying liquid eyeliner to look half decent
on my eyes I have rarely gone back into my drawer to reach for my neglected pencil liners as I don't
find them as easy to apply. Most are either barely pigmented or you have to press much harder than I
care to do around my delicate eye area to even get any kind of effect and even then unless you try to
smoke it out, it doesn't seem to look right. However this jumbo eyeliner has me going back and
forward between the liquid and the pencil again because this one actually does what I want it to.

The formulation is soft enough to work with so I am not digging at my eye with a dark point. It is
still firm enough not to be messy and it smudges out like a dream. I have been wearing this as my
everyday liner for the day time and leaving the bold black liquid just for nights out or special
occasions or events where a more dressy look is required.

Also available in 'Black'.

Big Kiss Lip Gloss in 'Glimmer'
I was a little surprised by the giant size of this gloss want initially. However I have found it to be a
great applicator as it gives the perfect amount of product with just one swipe without having to go in
and out of the bottle several times to achieve ample quantity.

The shade of this gloss is also a definite must have of mine as I just love having pink glossy lips!
My lips tend to look pretty lifeless nude so I am loving the vibrant tint this gloss has which I am
finding companies are doing more and more these days. The time of the barely there, clear glosses
are pretty much history! Bring on the bold and bright colours I say!

Other shades available include - Majestic, Crystelle & Manhattan.

3D Diamond Finish Lipstick in 'Princess'
This shade of perfect pink is probably my go-to shade no matter what the brand happens to be. I
always reach for and am drawn to 'Barbie' pinks just like this one and you'll almost always find this
one in my handbag or makeup bag!

The formula of this lippie is up there with the best! It's smooth and creamy and applies effortlessly.
The pigmentation as you can see by my swatch below also speaks of it's beautiful quality. There is a
pink of shimmer throughout which isn't hugely apparent when you're wearing it on your lips. For the
bargain price, I recommend check out Boe Professional's range of these 3D Diamond Lipsticks as
their colour range consists of a brilliant array of must have basic shades including - Allure, Venus,
Mystique, Passion & Shiraz.

To make this lippie last all day it is recommended to apply a touch of Boe Professional's High
Definition Finishing Powder before applying which works a treat! You can catch my review on
this must have for your makeup bag here! :)

Colour Pro Nail Enamel in 'Femme'
This dark berry shade screams Autumn/Winter teamed with jeans or leggings and over sized jumpers
and your favourite worn in boots. Even though I have rarely been seen without this shade on my
nails this past season, coming into Spring and Summer I can still see myself reaching for this as I
love wearing deep berry shades whenever I am wearing lighter clothing especially white which I have
been obsessed with lately and the contrast the two give is so chic, classy and to me just looks super
put together, even if I am so definitely not!

Other shades available include - Angelic, Belle, Lola, Jordy, Tuscany, Capella & Asteria.

You can find Boe Professional products including these and many more available to purchase
exclusively in Australia from Big W. Check out the whole range here!
