SALLY HANSEN

SALLY HANSEN

Delicate Decadence Collection!

http://au.sallyhansen.com

I am one of those people who feel naked and 'not ready yet' unless my nails have been painted and
I have some kind of makeup on before leaving the house. Even if it's just bb cream, lip balm and
mascara. Being a girl is the best fun and I love having the freedom and passion to be able to do these
things.

So if you're anything like me then you'll love these Sally Hansen 2-step gel nail polishes which are
made up of half regular nail lacquer and half gel formula which gives you the shine, bold colour and
long lasting result of an expensive professional gel manicure without the need for an LED light and
these are WAY easier to remove! They glide off just like normal nail polish which is much gentler on
your nails at the end of the day and keeps them strong and healthy.

This new collection of shades from the 'Delicate Decadence' collection consists of 6 shades.
Mauve-olous and Wine Stock (not pictured) as well as Plush Blush, Regal Rose, Pink Up and
Prince Char-mint. (Front top left to right pictured below)

These polishes give a beautiful shine even on their own without the gel top coat, however I have
found using the top coat makes all the difference in making these last twice as long and gives an
even higher glossier shine. Highly recommend not going without it!

Sally Hansen nail lacquers are available to purchase from Priceline, Priceline Pharmacy, Target,
Chemist Warehouse and Terry White Chemists Australia wide for a current RRP $16.95 each.

What nail colours are you flaunting this season?
Have you ever had a gel manicure?

OPI WASHINGTON

O P I

Kerry Washington DC
Mini Collection

Fall/Winter 2016

I am a huge fan of OPI and their little mini packs! They are so cute and great to get a feel for the new
shades they release and figure out weather it's worth purchasing one full size. This mini pack is a set
of four shades. Every now and then you will find OPI releases their mini collections in a range from
four, six or even ten different shades.

The four shades in this pack are called...
'We The Female' - A blood cherry red. Sexy and powerful. This shade is my favourite!
'Pale To The Chief' - A barely there nude cream. Solid in colour, perfect for a classy occasion.
'CIA = Color Is Awesome' - Bold, daring and mysterious! Love this rebel shade!
'Never A Dulles Moment - Even bolder and more daring! Wear this shade to stand out in a crowd!

I love the red and pale pink shades and find myself reaching for these two shades the most!

There are a total of 15 shades you can find from this collection in their full size 15ml bottles.
The four shades mentioned above plus these ones below.

Stay Off The Lawn
Suzi - The First Lady Of Nails
Yank My Doodle
Freedom Of Peach
Squeaker Of The House
Shh... It's Top Secret!
Madam President
OPI By Popular Vote

OPI nail polishes are great quality and worth the price! They dry quickly and the colour density is second to none. Always my first choice in lacquer.

You can find OPI mini collections and all other full size shades available both online and in store at
Myer, David Jones and selected salons Australia wide.

JAMBERRY

JAMBERRY

Mirror Nail Wraps

Review!

Racing season is well and truly upon us and on November 2nd marks the famous annual and much
anticipated Melbourne Cup day in Australia! Even though I won't be attending the event as I live in
Brisbane, you'll be sure I'll be watching the race and getting dressed up where ever I end up and
having a good time!

Metallics are huge this season and weather it's with your clothing, accessories, makeup or nails, you
can bet you'll be seeing a lot of shiny golds, silver, bronze and rose gold come race day!

I tried out these Jamberry Metallic Mirror Nail adhesives recently and the amount of compliments I
received was crazy! If you want to make a statement, then these are a great place to begin!

I have heard mixed reviews when it comes to these kind of stick on nails, and for me they lasted
more than two weeks before I decided to remove them and change up my nails to something else.
There are some tips and tricks to applying these to getting the most out of them to last and to look
smooth and professional. Below I will share a few with you!

How To!
- You want to make these stick and stay stuck, so make sure your nail is completely clean, free from
any polish and wiped over with either a Jamberry prep wipe or you can also just use any rubbing
alcohol which will ensure there is no natural oils on the nails which can make the adhesive not want
to stick well.

- Next you want to prep your nail sticker. Rather than just sticking them straight onto the nail. Peel
the first adhesive off the plastic sheet you want to use, grab your hair dryer and get some warmth
onto it. This softens the sticker making it more pliable and will apply smoother and stick better to
your nail. Use a cuticle pusher to smooth over and stick down the design and set again onto the nail
with your hair dryer again.

- Trim off the excess adhesive on the end of your nail with some small nail scissors, then file until
smooth and even. No need to finished with a top coat. Nails will look all shiny and new! Slay!

Jamberry Nails come in a wide variety of colours and designs (More than 300! So you're sure to find
something you like!) and also include nail lacquer, gel enamel system, bottles of mixed metal
embellishments and next on my list are some absolute cute as ever Mum & Me designs!

Will you be attending this years Melbourne Cup?
What colour/design are your nails right now?

GIVEAWAY!

Unless you have been living under a rock then I have no doubt you have probably head all about
the famous Jamberry craze that seems to have swept the beauty community of late.

Jamberry is a US based nail wrap company which has just recently launched right here in Australia!

I was lucky enough to get the chance to sample these new nail wraps and I have to say honestly, they are so darn cute!

I much prefer to have my nails painted than not however being time poor and my priorities focused
95% of my time of my two little ones, it is almost impossible to comprehend sitting around for an
hour or so to give myself a mani/pedi.

What is so great about Jamberry Nail Wraps as you have probably already figured out is that they are
pretty much just like a sticker for your nails, and they look amazing, have zero drying time and last
just as long (if not longer) than some regular nail polishes!

As you can see Jamberry Nail Wraps come in a huge variety of patterns and colours. There really is
a style for everyone. They are such great quality and value, I think they would make some great
stocking fillers this Christmas, especially for young girls, teens and time poor mums like me. ;)

The super lovely Erin Steffan, an independent Jamberry consultant can be contacted through
http://www.erinsteffan.jamberrynails.net and has kindly supplied me with x2 sets of Nail Wraps
to GIVEAWAY to two of my loyal readers/followers. Hooray!

MIRACLE GEL

~  SALLY HANSEN  ~

Miracle Gel
Available in a total of 28+ gorgeous shades! (Shop!)

I have always been a bit (okay a lot) obsessed with nail polish even since I was a little girl.
Fast forward to my teens when I discovered nail polish came in glitter variations and the obsession
grew even more.

Nail lacquer seems to be one beauty item that never goes out of fashion. Sure the shades change from
season to season and some like your classic red or pink stay year round. However the actual formula
of nail polish I feel has pretty much stayed the same and has taken a long time to evolve.

Moving forward into my early 30's and I welcome with open palms the evolution that is Gel manis!

Gel polish is still relatively new so just in case you're wondering what the difference actually is, let
me quickly bring you up to speed.

Gel polish is different because it dries faster, gives a more opaque colour and most importantly it lasts
about ten times longer than your average nail polish in a bottle.

I have only ever tried one other gel polish and even though I didn't mind it did require the use of an
LED light and heavy soaking of each nail to remove it. Not everybody has time for that, even if it
does last longer without chipping. (Including me!)

This is where Sally Hansen's Miracle Gel polish is different.

It does not require any other fancy accessories to get the same results. It dries super fast out in the
open air and with just one coat appears to have had at least 2-3. (See pic below!)

Left to right! - Teal Twin, Blue Hue & Get It Bright!

Add the shiny clear top coat and you're good for up to two weeks (or longer depending on how much
work your hands/nails go through) without chipping or peeling.

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel is available to purchase in store at Priceline, K-Mart, Target, Coles,
Woolworths & Chemist Warehouse and has a current RRP for this 2 pack of - $19.95!

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat - $16.95 (Shop!)

Other shades available include - Birthday Suit, Pinky Promise, Pinky Rings, Pretty Piggy, Pink Tank,
All Chalked Up, B Girl, Greyfitti, Street Flair, Shock Wave, Tidal Wave, Sugar Fix, Malibu Peach,
Dig Fig, Get Mod, Blacky O, Red Eye, Tan-acious, Creme De La Creme, Mad Women, Game Of
Chromes, Hunger Flames, Spice Age, Rhapsody Red, Tipsy Gypsy, Boho A Go-Go, Mintage, Fish
Teal-Braid...

VDAY NAILS

~ VALENTINE'S DAY ~
(Last Minute!)
Nail Art Inspo!

Just one more sleep away before we all wake up to celebrate the day of love!

If you're stuck into your pampering tonight and need some nail inspo, then here is
my little input for you. However, if you're after some seriously creative attention grabbing
pointers, then I highly recommend checking out Pinterest, trush me the inspo there is
definitely not lacking! Just make sure you don't get too distracted gawking and forget to
actually paint your own! (Speaking from experience here!)
Featuring -

I painted each of my nails in the classic romantic red from Maybelline in
'Keep Up The Flame' and applied a few coats of 'Glitter It' over the top on my
signature nail for added glamour and romance.

The finish off this V'Day nail art, I applied 5 of the silver embellishments onto my
signature nail over the top of 'Glitter It' whilst it was still wet so as the polish dried it
made the little stones stick! I then used the end of an old liquid liner wand/brush (washed
of any black liner remains of course!) to dip into 'Glitter It' for just a tiny drop to make these
cute little red hearts stick to each of my remaining nails. :)

I love having my nails painted. They don't have to be fancy or professionally done.
Just having some colour on them makes me happy and lifts my mood.

What are you up to tonight? Are you doing any V'Day beauty prep?

FUSE GELNAMEL

~ FUSE GELNAMEL ~

Sensationail Starter Kit

Review!

When it comes to DIY manis and pedis at home, I am always stuck for the time it takes for my
polish to dry. Most polishes, no matter how pretty, just take way too long to dry and always end
up getting completely ruined even before I get the chance to leave the house and enjoy them for
just one day!

I have heard so much hype around Gel manis this year and how amazing and long last they are,
that I knew, I just knew I had to try it out because it seems to be the perfect solution to all of my
nail nightmares! Taking only 30 short seconds to completely dry? How could I not love this?!

This Fuse kit seems like a great place to start. It comes with everything I could possibly need
to begin painting...

Fuse Gelnamel Polish in 'Na-No Way!'
Fuse Cleanser
 LED Lamp
Lint Free Wipes
Double Sided Nail Buffer
Manicure Stick
Easy To Follow Instruction Booklet

RRP: $49.99

What I find mind blowing about this whole kit, is the fact that no base nor top coat is needed!
The Gelnamel is an all in one formula that requires just one coat which in turn gives you a
perfectly polished, shiny, strong as 'nails' pop of colour finish! I can't believe how easy and
effective the whole kit is! Definitely worth what seems to be quite a hefty price tag for you
DIY mani/pedi. However think of it like this - It's salon quality at home. It's longer lasting!
The kit contains more than just your regular run of the mill nail polish as this contains your
base & top coat plus polish colour all in one! And most importantly to me, the dry time saves
you a bad mood for the rest of the day because you haven't ruined all your hard work waiting
around for it to dry! Nobody has time for that! Especially not me!

Apart from the fact that I can't paint my nails neatly to save myself, that aside,
you can't deny the vibrant colour and incredible shine this polish portrays.
I already know this polish is going to last because I've already tried to pick and
scratch at it, just to see if it passes the 'CandyFairy Blogs Test!'
So far so good!

Other incredibly gorgeous Fuse Gelnamel nail shades include -
E-Motion (Purple), Such A Laser (Gold Shimmer), Lightening Jolt (Magenta + Glitter),
Gone Fission ( Baby Pink + Glitter).

RRP: $14.99each

NOTD

~ Nails Of The Day! ~

Featuring...

Essie in DJ Play That Song!

I recently picked up this fun new shade for Spring for a bargain price
from GroceryRun for $4.50!

To achieve this solid colour I applied three coats plus a clear top coat
for a glossy lasting finish.

I then found some nail jewels I just had laying around which I'd never
touched or played with. So this was my first time experimenting!

Having done quite a few of these NOTD posts now, it has made
me realize just how much detail the camera clearly picks up when
photographing my nails. Every flaw which would normally go unnoticed
is magnified and stands out like crazy!

This gave me an idea...
As you can see in the picture below, I have added
some gold glitter in a line using a clear polish as the 'glue'.
Everyone knows how small specs of glitter are. They're surprisingly
easy to work with. I just used the end of a thin makeup brush with the
tiniest (and I mean smaller than pin head!) drop of clear polish on the end
to help pick up each loose peice of glitter to then place onto my nail.
I do this immediently after applying a clear top coat so that the glitter sticks.

I am loving the result and am getting a glamorous Arabic feel about it.
I feel like the colours and textures used appear quite royal.
With the signature royal purple shade. The gold circle gold, kind of reminds
me of coins and the ruby squares make me think of precious jewels and gems.

I am thoroughly enjoying the experimentation with nail art at the moment,
and feel like I am improving each time I try something different.

What are you hints & tips?
