RIMMEL

RIMMEL LONDON

Highlight & Define

Face & Eyes!

Rimmel London Good To Glow Highlighter
#003 SOHO GLOW
Creating that dewy fresh and youthful glow seems to be a makeup trend explosion which has errupted
only over the past few years and boy are companies cashing in! Ok I'll admit, I too have fallen for
this makeup trend. How could you not want to look all shiny, sparkly and just a little bit like a fairy?

Honestly, unless you're walking the runway, posing for an illuminating campaign or re-creating the
highlighting challenge, then at 25ml tube such as this will really go a long long way! For everyday
use, when it comes to highlighting your face, less is definitely more.

This illuminator gives your skin a subtle shimmering glow whilst looking dewy at the same time
without actually being wet or greasy feeling on the skin. The formula actually dries very fast!

The shade is a very light bronze gold and would show up more on tanned or darker skin tones.

Also available in 'Notting Hill Glow'.

Rimmel London Brow This Way Highlighting Pencil
This equaling as pretty little pencil has been something I have been keeping handy in my purse lately
as I have found it to be a surprisingly great little companion to have on me on days when I don't have
time to do my makeup and when the hubby is driving with the kids in the back and I whip it out along
with my favourite gloss and quickly give my key face points some life.

Not only does this work great for the brow bone, it can also be used at the cheek bones sparingly,
cupids bow and the inner corner of the eyes for that wide awake illusion when I am anything but!

The shade is a few times lighter than the Good To Glow liquid illuminator above and can be worked
onto the skin a little more and you can take your time as it doesn't dry or set.

Exclusive to ASOS online you can purchase this Rimmel London Pack which includes this very
good looking Magnif'Eyes shadow palette!! Very excited to see if this becomes available in stores soon! What an absolute bargain for $29! What do you think?

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Reloaded Mascara
When it comes to mascaras, honestly these kind of budget buys which Rimmel London seem to
release quite regularly really are my favourite ones to use daily. I just don't get spending upwards of
$50 on a mascara which is only good to use for a max 3 three months and then you should be
replacing it. Pick up one of these babies for a mere RRP $17.95 from Priceline (often found even
cheaper when their regular sales, deals & offers are on if you keep your eyes pealed) and you can keep the extra cash for spend on more important things, like more makeup! ;)

What I love particularly about this newbie is it's fat brush and ease of use. The formula just coats my
lashes lifting, thickening and lengthening all in just a few coats. I love how this mascara defines my
eyes and makes them look larger. Wearing it along with the highlighting products above and the
new Scandaleyes eyeliners, all of these products just work together so perfectly to create a
beautifully defined eye area which really pops, looks awake and at the end of the day removes
really easily with a few dabs of Micellar Water.

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Thick & Thin Black Liquid Eyeliner
Rimmel has come out with some great liquid eyeliners over the past few years which I have used a lot
recommend and have found to be great staple makeup items. This new one in particular is quite
interesting because you can create both a thick or thin line with it. The end is an unusual shape and
depending on how you tilt it will determine the thickness of your black line.

If you haven't yet tried any of Rimmel London's liquid eyeliners, then I highly recommend you do.
For a small investment of just RRP $12.95 each right now at Priceline, you can pick up one of these
and they will last you at least a few months without drying out so long as you keep the click on cap
securely clicked on when you're not using it!

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Black Precision Micro Liquid Eyeliner
This liquid liner looks almost identical to the Thick & Thin Scandaleyes version however true to it's name, this Micro liner has a super fine, thin tip which if you choose to can achieve the most on
point neat and precise line to your eyes, completely defining them on both the top and bottom.

Depending on your preference, this eyeliner can be a great choice for a simple understated everyday
look. I like this because it gives me the flexibility to be creative with patterns and a super sharp wing!

These and all Rimmel London products can be purchased both online and in store Australia wide at
Priceline, Priceline Pharmacy, Big W, Woolworths, Coles, Target and Chemist Warehouse.

MAGNIFEYES

~  Rimmel London  ~
Magnif'Eyes Shadow & Liner Pens!

I have recently been testing out two of these gorgeous shimmery brand new double ended eye shadow
liners from Rimmel London in the shades 'Back To Blacks' & "Queens Of The Bronzed Age'
and I have been completely digging the easy to wear combo!

I have mainly been using the lighter shade of  the bronzy brown all over my lid and lightly on my
brow bone and then blending in the darker brown shade into my crease. These are so easy to blend
that I have just been using my finger which I find with these in particular works much better than
using a shadow brush as I normally would with any other eye shadow product, however since
these are cream shadows and not powder this technique is easiest, quickest and I have found most
effective.

Whilst the formula itself is quite soft, but they do blend beautifully together and these two which I have in particular look great together for both everyday wear as well as night when a bolder line is drawn and then smudged for a smokey effect. The duel end means one end is pointier than the other which makes for an easy thin or bold line.

The shades do have some shimmer in them which transfer onto the skin in a really pretty way without looking like too much glitter dust! I found they lasted for a good full day without creasing or fading.

These new Rimmel London Magnif'Eyes Double Ended Eyeshadow Pens also come in shades
"Kissed By A Rose Gold" & "Dark Side Of Blue" and can be purchased from Priceline, Coles,
K-Mart, Big W and Target as well as selected pharmacies here in Australia for current RRP $16.95ea.

Have you tried these shadow pens?
Which shade are you most keen to try or which is your favourite?

Makeup Basic Essential Recommendations!

Jumbo Eyeliner & Sharpener in 'Chocolate'
Over the past few years since I mastered the technique of applying liquid eyeliner to look half decent
on my eyes I have rarely gone back into my drawer to reach for my neglected pencil liners as I don't
find them as easy to apply. Most are either barely pigmented or you have to press much harder than I
care to do around my delicate eye area to even get any kind of effect and even then unless you try to
smoke it out, it doesn't seem to look right. However this jumbo eyeliner has me going back and
forward between the liquid and the pencil again because this one actually does what I want it to.

The formulation is soft enough to work with so I am not digging at my eye with a dark point. It is
still firm enough not to be messy and it smudges out like a dream. I have been wearing this as my
everyday liner for the day time and leaving the bold black liquid just for nights out or special
occasions or events where a more dressy look is required.

Also available in 'Black'.

Big Kiss Lip Gloss in 'Glimmer'
I was a little surprised by the giant size of this gloss want initially. However I have found it to be a
great applicator as it gives the perfect amount of product with just one swipe without having to go in
and out of the bottle several times to achieve ample quantity.

The shade of this gloss is also a definite must have of mine as I just love having pink glossy lips!
My lips tend to look pretty lifeless nude so I am loving the vibrant tint this gloss has which I am
finding companies are doing more and more these days. The time of the barely there, clear glosses
are pretty much history! Bring on the bold and bright colours I say!

Other shades available include - Majestic, Crystelle & Manhattan.

3D Diamond Finish Lipstick in 'Princess'
This shade of perfect pink is probably my go-to shade no matter what the brand happens to be. I
always reach for and am drawn to 'Barbie' pinks just like this one and you'll almost always find this
one in my handbag or makeup bag!

The formula of this lippie is up there with the best! It's smooth and creamy and applies effortlessly.
The pigmentation as you can see by my swatch below also speaks of it's beautiful quality. There is a
pink of shimmer throughout which isn't hugely apparent when you're wearing it on your lips. For the
bargain price, I recommend check out Boe Professional's range of these 3D Diamond Lipsticks as
their colour range consists of a brilliant array of must have basic shades including - Allure, Venus,
Mystique, Passion & Shiraz.

To make this lippie last all day it is recommended to apply a touch of Boe Professional's High
Definition Finishing Powder before applying which works a treat! You can catch my review on
this must have for your makeup bag here! :)

Colour Pro Nail Enamel in 'Femme'
This dark berry shade screams Autumn/Winter teamed with jeans or leggings and over sized jumpers
and your favourite worn in boots. Even though I have rarely been seen without this shade on my
nails this past season, coming into Spring and Summer I can still see myself reaching for this as I
love wearing deep berry shades whenever I am wearing lighter clothing especially white which I have
been obsessed with lately and the contrast the two give is so chic, classy and to me just looks super
put together, even if I am so definitely not!

Other shades available include - Angelic, Belle, Lola, Jordy, Tuscany, Capella & Asteria.

You can find Boe Professional products including these and many more available to purchase
exclusively in Australia from Big W. Check out the whole range here!

RIMMEL LONDON

Scandal Eyes

Jumbo Liquid Liner & Precision Micro Eyeliner!
I am not a professional make-up artist. Nor have I ever had any formal training or study
on the subject. So mastering the tricky skill that is eyeliner and that perfect wing is something
I still often stuggle with today and without a doubt, no matter how hard I try those wings always
end up being much more like sisters on each eye, rather than the twins I was hoping for!

I begun my eyeliner journey initially with pencil and only on my bottom lash line. WHYYYY?
I was 14 and obviously had no clue! I like to think I have a bit more of a brain these days... ;)

Over the years of experimenting with various products, colours, textures (glitter, don't judge me!)
and techniques, I have come to the conclusion that black is best and liquid is by far the easiest to
work with, giving me total control which helps me to create the neatest line.

Rimmel London Scandaleyes - Precision Micro Eyeliner!

Rimmel London Scandaleyes - Jumbo Liquid Liner!

As you can see from the pix above these eyeliners frame the eye perfecly on my upper
lash line. I love the intensity of the black and how I am able to create a barely there super thin line
to a super bold Amy Winehouse style feature.

Have you tried these Rimmel London Scandaleyes Eyeliners?
Are you a pencil, liquid or even gel kinda girl/guy?

If you're interested to try these out for yourself you can purchase them online
from Priceline by clicking here!

STORAGE!

Overview!

Today I have decided to share my make up collection.  Not because I think I have a dazzling collection worthy of showing off, but mainly because I think it is a topic that is very popular and widely enjoyed by beauty fanatics and like minded folk. I know I love to read and watch people's collections and storage ideas on blogs, websites and youtube videos, so I thought I would share mine for sheer inspiration for your own collection and storage to gather ideas and tips along the way. :)

For the longest time I just had my make up stashed amongst all my other bathroom products, in draws and cupboards, and it was almost always impossible to find what ever it was I was looking for. I finally got my hands on one of these storage draws I had seem many other beauty gurus have to store their make up items and thought it would be the perfect way to store my stuff as well. This is available from Office works for around $50 and is available in the clear,  like mine, an ombre Grey and the famous rainbow shades.

Congratulations you finally made it to the end of my collection. Not a lot of high end stuff as I've only recently begun to indulge in them so I am slowly replacing the old with some new quality products. I still love my drugstore brands though too! :)

If you'd like to watch a video of my makeup collection you can find it here. If has changed a bit compared to these photos as my 2 year old daughter often gets into and rearranges my draws for me.... so to speak! ;)

I am still waiting on my Naked 1, 2 & 3 Palettes coming from the US that hubby was so kind to get me for my birthday. I am itching to try them and do some video & blog posts using them. So keep an eye out as they will hopefully be coming soon!
