Ah night cream. You know how I love my night creams and this one is up there with the best I've
tried, especially for this bargain price, it's not too bad at all!

The products available in the Boots Laboratories Serum7 skincare range are targeted to younger
skin types. Being almost 33, I feel like this range it quite well suited to me and the results I have
been experiencing have proven that to be the case. Also available for those older and with more
defined skin ageing concerns such has deep lines and wrinkles, Boots has created their skincare
like called Serum7 Lift.

The brand Boots Laboratories has actually been around for 160 years, originally the company was
 founded in the UK, it has only just began to be available here in Australia over the past few years.

The deliciously rich cream is white and thick, however it isn't overly thick nor does it feel heavy on
 the skin. I have used much heavier other night creams and this one does not have that suffocating on
 the skin feeling.

This product is said to work really well on even really sensitive skin, however I would try a tester out
in store first if you get the opportunity as this product does have a perfumed fragrance to it.  I don't
mind the scent, it is quite to my liking and my skin isn't at all sensitive so I haven't had any problems
with it so far. Just something to keep in mind if fragrances happen to rub you the wrong way
generally as the scent does linger for hours after applying.

Serum7 Beauty Serum - 30ml - $36.00
This milky white serum has the same fragranced scent as the Serum7 Night Cream above and is a
wonderfully hydrating anti-ageing product! I have been using both of these products together for
some time now and my skin feels amazing! This serum it suitable to be used both day and night.

I am a bit of a skin hydration freak and use both a daily moisturiser and serum together before
applying any makeup. Even though I do this using both of these products (even a thin layer of the
night cream in the morning) it doesn't give me that oily sheen or feel greasy or heavy.

These products make my skin nice and smooth and feeling soft. It gives a nice base for applying
makeup and it doesn't sweat off as my skin seems to absorb it within a few minutes.

I honestly really love using this serum because not only does it make a killer makeup base and keep
my skin well hydrated and looking dewy, fresh and young day by day, it has also faded my fine lines
I had appearing around my eye area and even those drier looking lines I could see making their way
across my cheek area. That was a shock to discover and quite scary as I always try to hydrate like
crazy! However now I can't even see them anymore and I put it down to using these two products
together over the period of a few months.

When it comes down to it for me at least appearing younger comes down to a few simple steps!

- Hydration inside & out multiple times a day!
- Eating healthy, fresh, regularly & organic if/when you can.
- Be sun smart! Thats, slip, slop, slap & wrap!
- Don't sweat the small stuff. Manage your stress in a healthy way & try to keep those levels low!

I had heard about philosophy as a brand and their products quite a bit over the past few years and as a beauty blogger have read a lot of reviews and heard a lot of positive thoughts and opinions about their products. However never got around to trying them as I usually just stick to the cheaper brands within my strict budget. However since having the opportunity to test out the new Ultimate Miracle Worker skincare range over the past 3 weeks with Beautyheaven I can see why these products have a premium price tag! The quality, results and luxury elegance of each specially formulated jar is extremely rich and worth every single application!

The day cream which contains an SPF 15 is gorgeously scented lightly with only the tiniest hint of an SPF related smell. It is white in appearance and medium thick. I found the multi-rejuvenating cream easy to quickly work into my skin each morning before applying makeup a minute or two after. This absorbs right in and doesn't leave my skin feeling as though the product is just sitting on the surface. It gives more of a softer feeling and healthy fresh, youthful glow.

The 60ml silver glass jar has a black screw top lid which is easy to open and closes securely. I have found the product has remained fresh and unchanged in colour or appearance and consistency over the trial period with the scent remaining the same.

In terms of seeing results of firmer skin, reduced pore size, more hydrated skin and fewer wrinkles. I can say my 'normal' skin does seem to be firmer and definitely more hydrated. I can feel a difference in the softness around my cheeks and neck. Overall my skin is looking and behaving amazing well since the beginning of using this product with zero pimples and blackheads which usually pop up every now and again on my skin. So I am thinking my pores may be slightly reduced in size aiding in the zero acne issue! I am 32 and don't have many winkles thankfully. Just a few small crows feet on the corner of my eyes. These seem to be reduced quite a bit as I have been using this product in conjunction with the Ultimate Miracle Worker Eye. (RRP $88.00)

Overall would highly recommend this product, brand and product range. It has worked for me!

Using philosophy's Ultimate Miracle Worker Eye along with the Ultimate Miracle Worker Day with SPF and Worker Night from the same range I have come to really enjoy and appreciate the results of using an eye cream in my skincare routine again as I have not done this is quite some time!

This 15ml round silver glass jar appears as a mini version of it's big sister the Ultimate Miracle Worker Day Cream. The cream however has a slightly more of an off white, cream tint to it that the whiter Day Cream. This has all you could ask for in a eye cream. From patented Bi-Retinol and Iris plant extracts to rejuvenate the skin on the surface. To the classic Caffeine and Vitamin C to aid in the skin's puffiness and dark circles under the eyes. 

The cream is much the same consistency as the day cream being medium thick and absorbing in the same amount of time. (1-2 minutes max!)

Luckily my eyes only have a few little crows feet and don't often get puffy unless I wake up in the morning after only a few hours sleep which does happen from time to time with 2 toddlers. I don't have any dark circles so cannot comment on the effectiveness in that respect from this product. However my fine lines and overall eye area does appear much more as it did in my more youthful 20's. My fine lines are reduced so I am hopeful with continued future consistent use and sensible sun exposure my crows feet may become a distant memory. One can hope! :)

Overall I am very happy with this product. As with only needing the tiniest amount (l only needed HALF a pea size amount) per application I feel like this product is going to last me quite some time and in that regard in conjunction with seeing some pretty amazing results since the beginning of use three weeks ago, I can see how this warrants the scary price tag! (RRP $75.00)

Using this product along with the other's from the Ultimate Miracle Worker skincare range has been a lot of fun for me especially when it came to initially trying this Worker Night for the first time! philosophy have well thought out this product. Giving us a stronger unique night cream by combining the benefits of a rich night cream along with the anti ageing properties a facial serum gives. 

To blend these two together philosophy gets us as consumers involved in the final process. In the box you find not only your 50ml black glass jar, additionally you will find a 10ml sealed packet of baby pink wet peals ready to be mixed in together with the small black spatula provided. This was one of my most favourite steps within the process of using this product.

Once mixed together the two ingredients blend together to form one power punching night cream! The pearls dissolve quite quickly and once done you can rest assured you are applying a fresh a batch of night cream as you'll ever get! 

The scent of this is only light and is almost identically smelling as the Ultimate Miracle Day and Eye creams. I was surprised to find unlike most night creams I have ever used, the consistency within this jar was nowhere as thick as I was expecting as I am so used to night creams being thick. However this was more runny, even more so than the Day and Eye cream from this range. I don't believe this had anything negative to do with the formulation though as I have actually had amazing results using this whole trio of products.

I found this cream to absorb into my skin even more rapidly than the day and eye cream and felt the same soft, moisturised feeling left upon my skin. My skin is firmer, particularly round my eyes, neck and cheeks. Being in my early 30's I know my youthful appearance is only going to last so long and the clock is ticking loud and fast! Since seeing such satisfying and rapid results with these products I can't see myself turing back now and will continue to use these products to help maintain and improve my skin even further. Did anyone else's mum make them take Vitamin C tablets every morning before school?
I remember way back in primary school when we lived in the northern suburbs of Sydney and
my sister and I would walk to the bus stop sucking on a Vitamin C tablet. 

When it comes to skincare I am not as experienced when it comes to using Vitamin C in beauty
 products as I am using them on the inside. However the benefits of this super vitamin are so great, it
 completely makes sense to also use it in this way.

The formula of this is that of a white creamy consistency which feels more matte than oily which 
quickly becomes apparent as you work it into the skin as it gives the skin a more even, smooth and 
matte look. Not only the visual effects of this product are so great, as are the long term effects and
results this product gives. These include building collagen, reducing skin inflammation and 
discolouration repairing the skin making it more firm and looking at it's natural best whilst also
reducing the look of ageing.


Product Contains the following - Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid & Silicones.

Being both a serum and moisturiser in one I love that it saves me time by being a 2 in 1 product.
Recommended to use both morning and in the evening. I have found I only need to use a very small
amount (about the size of a pea) to feel it working all over my face. I love using products where I can
actually feel that very slight tingling sensation. This only lasts for about a minute and does not irritate
at all! In fact it actually makes my skin appear clearer like when you have just wipes off a really good
deep cleansing face mask. It is really quite interesting!

Overall, I would recommend this product for anyone who would like to prevent the look of ageing or
like me would in addition like to repair some of the damage already incurred from every day life.

Has anyone else noticed the sudden drastic change in the weather lately? Over the past few weeks
here is Brisbane is seems to have gone from humid and hot to quite chilly in the mornings, warming

Thanks to Beautyheaven & their wonderful Trial Team,
 a little while ago I took park in this very exciting product trial
with a very beautiful looking product from a very luxurious brand!
I absolutely adore Jurlique products and have previously
used their hand cream. So to try another of their
 products was quite fun and exciting!
First of all the bottle is adorable!
I love the floral, girliness about it and how it's a pearly
 white colour with the pump being clear, but illuminating
 at the same time! So pretty to look at!
Apart from the amazing things this serum has been doing
 for my skin, my stand out favourite quality about this
 product is the smell!!! Oh, my, god! It is AMAZING!
 I adore it! It is so pretty and reminds me of that pampering
scent you get after leaving a day spa that lingers on and
have people notice it as you walk by. It is quite a strong scent,
 but does fade a little as you go throughout your
day/night, not that you'd want it to!
The formula is of a white consistency that rubs in clear
 and soaks right into the skin instantly so you can immediently
 follow on with your regular moisturiser over the top.
I have found this serum to really help my skin with it's first
 signs of ageing. It has slightly dimmed the fine lines around my
 eyes which are my main concern without feeling tight or
uncomfortable on my skin. My skin seems to be smoother and
 overall more radiant looking and I think a little firmer too.

products look just divine and completely my style! I look forward
 to purchasing more from them in the future and highly
 recommend this serum as well as their hand cream which

I have been using this for a few weeks now as part of the Trial Team 
on Beautyheaven and have loved using it overall, 
and I am especially impressed with the results it gives!
I am 30, so I have fine lines beginning to show on my face. 
Mainly the forehead, eyes and those smile lines from the end of my nose to the 
outer corners of my mouth are more propionate than I'd like.
I have always had amazing experience with serums in general as they work so well
 at improving my skins moisture levels and overall appearance. 
I find it does wonders at preventing and aiding in improving the skin from ageing.
 This serum in particular has been pretty amazing.
The bottle is quite large and is clean and sophisticated looking with the white, silver 
and accent deep red/maroon. The pump style is perfect because it gives you more control 
over how much product you want to dispense which also means less mess or wastage.
The formula is a clear gel type of liquid which has a slight feminine scent to it which I adore! 
It absorbs right into my skin which is important to me because I don't have a lot of time to
 waste waiting for products to sink in so I can get on with my routine.
Over the past few weeks, I have noticed my skin is firmer and less tired looking.
 I guess when your fine lines are reduced you look more alive! 
I found when applied, it feels quite cooling which is a really refreshing 
and yet relaxing feeling at the same time.
I look forward to continue using this in my skincare routine and would happily
 purchase this in the future and also consider other products in this range. :)

Howdie do there!

So over the past couple of weeks I've been completely dedicated to trialling a
brand new (to me at least) range of products from a brand I'd actually not
heard a lot about prior, Indeed Laboratories. 
What I had heard though was very positive with a lot of rave reviews
 floating around blogs and other places I frequent all over the web. 
Needless to say I couldn't wait to get my hands into these colourful boxes
and start the journey of transforming my ageing 30 year old face into my
former 20 something, smoother, plumper, wrinkle free skin again!

Here are my thoughts and how I went...



In case you can't tell, I adore hot pink so this was the first box and product
I dug into. And can I just say the tubes are actually like a matte finish.
Not just boring, old, shiny, regular white plastic like you'd probably expect.
These look and feel quite up there in terms of quality and appearance. 
I likey, likey!! :D

So onto the actual Moisture Booster. I have normal skin, so I'm not too
concerned about hydration apart from the fact that I know the more you moisturise
the better because dry skin causes premature ageing and wrinkles.
(which is why I lather up after every shower....that and the overload of products
I'm trying to work through!) But anyway, what I liked most about this serum
was the way it worked which I guess is kind of like a sponge where the high quality
ingredient Hyaluronic Acid holds up to a thousand times it's weight in water!
So you can imagine how much moisture it's keeping in your skin with the small
amount you apply to your face each day. It claims over time to reduce the need for
constant hydration, increases skin elasticity and reduces rough skin.

I don't know how long until you don't need to keep moisturising, I guess after a
few tubes you'd start to notice a feeling of baby supple skin. Or so I'd hope!
So far my skin is reacting well to it. I love serums in general because to me, I
think they do a lot more work for your skin than moisturisers. It's recommended
to still use a moisturiser with this product underneath like you normally would after
applying a serum which I have been doing. My skin does seem to be softer, smoother
and more hydrated. I have enjoyed using this and will continue to do so.

So far so good!


These 'Blur' products seem to have exploded into the beauty world recently
and much like the super popular BB Creams, everyone is going nuts over
this new invention and it's fast becoming a must have anti ageing product for
everyone who wants a quick fix, including me!

Everyone has a little imperfection here and there they wish would go away
and no amount of makeup or concealer will fix it. I'm mainly referring to
fine lines, wrinkles and saggy skin which without botox or some other kind of
procedure, you are pretty much stuck with them. This product claims
to in fact as the name suggests, blur them, including enlarged pores, which is
one of my biggest beauty peeves. I also have a few fine lines and I think the skin
under my chin is beginning to sag, although luckily no one else seems to think so.
Phew!

To look a whopping ten years younger is just forty seconds is a very brave claim
to make, so I just had to put it to the test and for me to notice the difference, it took
around the thirty five second mark after application that I noticed the fine lines
which are most noticeable around my eye area had totally disappeared! Like I
mean, they, we're....GONE!! No joke. I seriously didn't think it would work that well!
I usually only see my fine lines get better after applying a really good eye cream
religiously everyday for a few weeks, and even then the results are nowhere near
as impressive as this product! This has also worked amazingly well at hiding the
pores around my nose and cheek area. It worked so much better than a primer
as with a primer I find I need to use so much more product to blur away my pores,
whereas with this I only needed to use a really small amount.

Loving it!


My first impression of this product from reading the name with the word 'resurfacer'
in it I thought it would be an exfoliant. But then I also read the word 'retinol' which
I know as a powerful, anti ageing skincare ingredient my mum used religiously
when I was growing up. So I wasn't sure what to expect from a product claiming to
resuface my skin using not one but three forms of retinol!

This product is supposed to give you softer, smoother skin whilst being moisturising
and working on those annoying fine lines and wrinkles! I love using night creams
and never miss doing it. I know that it's when we sleep the skin works it's hardest to
repair itself. So slapping on a good night cream is essential in aiding in the skin's
reproduction and healing. I was excited to try something new as I'd previously
been slaving away trying to use up an old one I wasn't really enjoying, so needless
to say, this one has been much more fun to use! The pump top makes it easy to use
and mess free. You only need about a quarter of a five cent peice worth of product
and that's about all you get from each pump. Perfect, no wastage!

Overall, using all three of these anti ageing products over the past few weeks
everyday has had me feeling and looking much younger than I feel most days,
just to be honest. I usually feel at least 40! Now I've got the outside looking
younger, I just need to work on feeling younger on the inside!

Any tips?
