JULY EMPTIES

~   JULY EMPTIES   ~

Welcome to my mid year empties! Here is what I used up in July! Not as much as in previous
months this year, but still going great guns none the less. Let me know if you'd be interested in
me blogging a stocktake of what's left in my mega stash of beauty prods. That could be fun, I know
it motivates and inspires me when I read/watch what other beauty lovers have and how they're
working through them.

I like to try and use up my older products first, however being a beauty blogger it's pretty
impossible not to stray and try newbies in-between. But that's just my general rule to keep things
rotating along and playing fair as well as limiting the amount of products going bad before I get the
chance to use them up.

Aaaaaanyway, let's take a look through my beauty trash!

Cleansing

Original Source Skin Quench All In One Moisturising Shower Gel
in Blackcurrant & Moringa Oil (FULL SIZE)
I received this product in my recent limited edition Bellabox and was loving it, until I knocked it over
in the shower and the bottle cracked and most of it spilt out everywhere! :( So sad! I did manage to
salvage quite a bit of it luckily, however I had to squeeze what I had left over into one of my travel
size bottles which made me just want to use it up quickly and move on to the next product. Was
lovely whilst it lasted. :)

Argan+ Argan Oil Super Creamy Body Wash (FULL SIZE)
I don't know if you can tell by looking closely at the base of this bottle, but I was super awesome and
somehow managed to also knock this bottle off my shower shelf and crack the lid! (Remind me to
change where I keep these!) Luckily I was pretty much done with it anyway, loved it by the way,
you should check out my full review here. ;)

I have been savouring this facial scrub because I have been loving it that much that I never wanted
it to end! The bursting beads of zesty freshness are so nice and refreshing when washing my face in
the mornings. I need more of this stato! (Review!)

Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel (FULL SIZE)
Do you remember my Lush haul from a while back? Well this well known, well loved also limited
edition product had plenty of time to grow on me in between rotating through about a dozen or so
other body washes and scrubs. I actually grew to really love it and and hanging out for another bottle!

Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid (SAMPLE)
This was another Bellabox surprise and a good one at that! I have used Paula's Choice in my skincare
routine (which you can watch here!) so I knew I loved their products already and this was the
icing on the cake for my skin to really add that extra little bit of help that it needed in keeping it clear
and bringing out the best in it.

Moisturising

Sukin Facial Moisturiser (FULL SIZE)
I am a huge fan of all Sukin products I have ever tried. They really are lovely and so natural and
smell wonderful. I really enjoyed this daily moisturiser. It felt so nice on my skin with it's light scent.
I highly recommend it and if you are interested to hear more about my experience with this and other
products from this brand then you can watch my full video review here. :)

Fantasy By Britney Spears Body Souffle (FULL SIZE)
This is actually a really pretty moisturiser. It smells simply gorgeous and it glides on my skin like a
dream. Honestly, I'm a little sad to let it go...but hey there is always fifty other Britney variations out
there to pick up next!

Avon Far Away Shimmer Gel (FULL SIZE)
This is seriously the most beautiful shimmer gel, like EVER! It has a jelly like consistency and leaves
the most beautiful shimmery shine all over your body making me feel like a real life fairy. :)
It is also lightly scented like the matching perfume. I looooooved it!

L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Filler (SAMPLE)
This was a nice little surprise which I found in my recent Elle magazine which I used right away.
Only a very small amount in the sachet so a little hard to get my head around what I think of it.
Would need to try it more to form an opinion.

Vaseline Intensive Care Deep Restore (SAMPLE)
This was nice too. I usually like to really lather up on my moisturiser from head to toe so this
wasn't enough to go very far. I'd be interested to try it full size as I know the brand and have used
their products before which were good.

Hair

I cannot remember where these came from, but omg they are awesome! These are up there with
the best I have ever used in terms of hair oils. Made my hair INSTANTLY frizz free, smooth and
soft. Just amazing and only needed to used a tiny amount on my long thick hair. Lasted ages, which
for a sample is a total bargain!

Aveda Damage Remedy Reconstructive Treatment (SAMPLE)
I have used many of these little sample tubes and really enjoy them. A lovely hair treat which I would
be happy to use again and again.

VO5 Hot Oil Shower Works (FULL SIZE)
An oldie but a goodie. I feel like it worked better on my hair when I was dying it darker, however
still does an alright job.

Body

Revlon Pink Happiness Perfume (FULL SIZE)
This is an old favourite which I still love. This is a smaller travel/purse size version of the perfume.
It has served me well but I am ready to move on to some of my other perfumes in rotation which need
some love and attention.

Mitchum Clinical 48hr Powder Fresh Deodorant (FULL SIZE)
This is one of my favourites in terms of keeping body odour in check which actually works!
This stuff is gold and worth paying a little extra for. No matter how sweaty you get, you will not
have people holding their breath as they walk past you. Trust me, it's amazing! (Review!)

Organyc Liners (FULL BOX)
I was fortunate to have these sent to me to try and review so I have been very good to the
environment lately thanks to Organyc. Since they do just as good a job as any other liner I have
tried I don't see why I shouldn't continue to use these. Great quality and comfortable too.

Make-Up

L'Oreal Paris Infallible 24h Matte Foundation (SAMPLE)
With all of the hype surrounding this foundation I couldn't wait to try this one and it didn't disappoint.
I am dying to purchase this and use it again, however I have sooo many back up foundations in my
collection which are sure to last me into the next century!

Ten-O-Six Tinted Moisturiser (FULL SIZE)
I usually just slap on a tinted moisturiser if I know I am probably going to be spending the day at
home. It's quick and easy and still has me looking half decent if I do happen to quickly pop out
somewhere so if I have to answer the door or have someone visit unexpectedly.

SugarBaby Lip Gloss (FULL SIZE)
Found this old friend in my gloss draw recently and couldn't reach into the bottom to get anymore
product out, so into the beauty trash bin it goes!

That concludes my July empties for 2015!

Let's do a tally update to see where I am at as we head
into the second half of the year.

Full Size = 86
Samples = 121

Total Empties to date for 2015 = 207
(I must say, feeling pretty good about that!)

How are your empties going for the year?
Do you have a Project Pan Plan thing-y-o you're working on?

FEBRUARY FAVOURITES

~ February Favourites! ~

Yep it's late, 12 days into March already..... let's just get into it! :)

VS Sassoon 3Q Dryer
In case you weren't aware, I recently took part in VS Sassoon's 3Q Beautiful
Hair Challenge. It's made it into my Feb favs so obviously it gave me amazing results.
Check out my video review below!

Paula's Choice Self Tanning Foam
This has had to be one of the most easiest to use self tanning products I've ever
come accross and I have tried about a billion of them.
Check me out using this in my self tanning video below!

Fuse Gelnamel in 'Such A Laser'
Having a gel mani/pedi is so life changing when it comes to doing your nails DIY at home.
I am still amazed at the huge difference it makes and how much longer my polish lasts when I
do them this way. And let's just admore this shade for a moment! I am loving golds lately and
I've always been a silver girl...

If you are interested to learn more about how these Fuse Gelnamel polishes work you can check
out my full review here! :)

Indeed Laboratories Hydraluron Moisture Boosting Mask
If you are yet to try anything from Indeed Labs then I recommend starting off with these.
They are so simple to use, feel so nice and they are so hydrating and
make a huge positive impact on your skin. My skin has soaked these up and I have been loving
the indulgence of a good old fashioned facial mask at home this past month.

So does anyone really ever look good wearing a cloth facial mask? I think not!
Of course I had to glam it up with ridiculously long fake lashes and matching lippie!
;)

Paula's Choice RESIST Youth-Extending Daily Mattifying Fluid
I have found myself reaching for this daily weather I am having a make-up free day or not.
Either way this stuff keeps my skin looking perfect and I never have that slight grease feeling
by the end of the day. Such an amazing product, I own no other like it! Currently an essential
part of my skincare routine. Watch the video here! :)

TANNING ROUTINE

~ Tanning Through The Seasons ~

My DIY Self Tanning Routine!

Transitioning From Summer Through Winter!

Self tanning can be a tricky thing. A skill many of us let a professional take control of
for us. There are so many things that can go wrong. Too light, too dark, too orange, streaky,
un-even, leaving marks all over your car seats, coach, bed sheets, etc and that off putting fake
tan smell. The whole point of a fake tan, is to get that golden looking glow without risking your
health by going the natural or solarium route. At the end of the day, we all want our tan to look
natural and flawless.

However, DIY-ing isn't as hard or scary as it sounds. It's just like experimenting with makeup
and figuring out what works, what doesn't and making mistakes and learning from them.

Using good quality products definitiely helps, and with the right tools and techniques you can
have north coast, holiday, 'I've just spend my whole life at the beach' looking skin in no time
and for a fraction of the salon price!

It's really easy once you get the hang of it and once it becomes routine you will wonder why you
ever got almost naked for a complete stranger in an awkward paper G-string in the first place!

Below I will share with you the products currently in my self tanning routine I am using
to get flawless, glowing, tanned skin year round with some hints and tips along the way!

Schick
Intuition Pure Nourishment Razor
For All Skin Types!
RRP: $12.69
Review (Buy!)
I feel like this first step goes pretty much without me having to say it.
If you don't wax, then shave your legs before you tan! If you wait until afterwards, you'll
ruin all of your hard work and shave the tan away... Nobody wants to see hairy legs, so if
you're going to flaunt it, make it count!
-------------------------------------------------

St.Tropez
Body Polish
For All Skin Types!
RRP: $19.95
Review (Buy!)
There is nothing more I love than a good all over body scrub and this one is particually
suited to help maintain and prep your skin for tanning. The circular beads are not to harsh
or scratchy and therefore making sure your tan applies and eventually fades away
smooth and even.
-------------------------------------------------

Jergens
Daily Moisture
For Dry Skin!
RRP: $5.99
Review (Buy!)
I feel like this is a step a lot of people skip when self tanning. Moisturising is so
important for our skin, not only to keep it looking fresh, soft and youthful. It also provies
a smooth and even base for your tan to stick to, giving you the most flawless, streak free
glow you absolutely want!
-------------------------------------------------

Paula's Choice
Sun 365 Self-Tanning Foam
For All Skin Types!
RRP: $16.80
(Buy!)
My current self tanner of choice is this one by Paula's Choice, for a number of reasons.
The main reason is because it is buildable and creates the most natural results!
Just one application gives you a subtle glow. Apply 5-10 and your a super bronzed,
sun kissed looking goddess! Not dodgy tanning smell as it is scent free.
No messy tanning stains all over my bathroom as the formula simply pumps out into my
hand light as a feather for controlled application.

JANUARY FAVOURITES

~ January Favourites ~
2015!

What a crazy month January is! New years and many birthdays including my own! :)
It's such a happy month (apart from the dreadfully steamy weather!) as it means holidays,
family time and relaxing! I love it!

Here are the products I've been loving the most during the start of the new year!
Plenty of Summery looking items, I realize now that I am looking at the pic above.
Guess that's just how it goes when the weather heats up. You gotta find product
that work with the seasons. There is always an overwhelming variety to choose from
so I will share with you the ones which have worked for me which are obviously my
January Favourites!
:)

Makeup/Nails

Physicians Formula Bronze Booster
I have been using this ever so sparingly (as I don't want to ruin the intricate sun imprint)
on the highest point on my cheek bones for a little sun kissed effect.
This bronzer is so beautiful!

Laura Mercier Moisture Supreme Foundation
Even though this foundation is still a bit dark for my skin tone, (I explain how I lighten it to
match my current skin tone here.) I cannot stop going back to it as the forumulation just does an
amazing job and is so different to all of my other foundations. It just makes my skin look so good
and I really enjoy applying this as it's a dream to work with.

Nicole By OPI in 'Some Hearts'
If you follow me on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter then you'll know I have been loving this
hue this month, which I recieved in my Girlfriend's The Parcel since it is the month of love and all! ;)
The coral/pinky/red (somewhere inbetween those shades!) is such a perfect Summer colour!
It fits in perfectly with all of my Summer dresses, short shorts and lose bold coloured tops
and various white pieces. (I love wearing lots of white in Spring/Summer!)
Skin

Paula's Choice Sun 365 Self-Tanning Foam
I have been working on building up my tan to match the weather with this lately and am
totally in love! There is absolutely no weird scent to this and it drys super fast!
Stay tuned for a full review coming soon!

Paula's Choice RESIST Youth Extending Daily Mattifying Fluid
I have been using this on it's own on days when I am home and not wearing makeup and
mixed in with my Laura Mercier Moisture Supreme Foundation on days I am out and about.
It keeps my skin from looking shiny at the end of the day and still contains SPF to protect
my skin from the sun. Creates the illusion of peeeerfect skin!

Hair

Natural World Coconut Water Weightless Hair Oil
Recently I decided I'd have enough of my hair. It was getting way too long.
(Just past the tip of my butt!) Add that to it being thick and frizzy wizzy and it was
annoying as hell so I gave myself the chop and literally cut half of it off before I
showered one night! It isn't really all that shocking as I usually always cut my own hair
and it feels so much lighter and a whole lot more managable now! This product has been
a great treat at giving my new hair lengh some TLC. The difference in appearance and feeling
has turned me nto one of those annoying people who constantly touch their hair!
Stay tuned for a full review coming soon!

Scunci Everyday & Active No Damage Reflective Hair Elastics
Such a basic, everyday item, yet one I had to mention! These keep me sane in many ways!
One, because there are so many in this pack so if I loose one, who cares I have a million
spare! Two, they are snagless so they don't get all caught up in my hair causing knots and pain!
Three, the 3 different varient in design you see in the pic above are actually reflective and light
up in the dark like a bike safety light! They're so cool! :)

2015 SKINCARE ROUTINE

~ New Year ~

New Skincare Routine!

Paula's Choice
RESIST Perfectly Balanced Foaming Cleanser
Cleanser for Normal/Oily/Combination Skin!
RRP: $30.00 (190ml)
---------------------------------------------------
To begin with I will just let your know straight off the bat one of the most convenient aspects
of this product which I enjoyed the most and that is that this Foaming Cleanser not only
cleanses your skin without stripping it of it's natural oils and pH balance, it also removes makeup!
I usually remove my makeup before cleansing, however with this product I get to skin a step and
save a bit of time, oh so precious time! :) (Where does it all go anyway?!)

This generous size pump bottle contains a creamy, white liquid which quickly lathers into a
non scented foam when applied to your face which should be dampened with luke warm water
prior to activate the product and open up the pores for best results whilst cleansing.

I found this product very easy to use and very effective when followed up with the Pore-
Refining Treatment and Daily Mattifying Fluid.

My skin has remained clear and looking smoother, more radiant and a whole lot less tired than
it really is!

Paula's Choice
RESIST Daily Pore-Refining Treatment
2% BHA
Exfoliant for Normal/Oily/Combination Skin!
RRP: $38.00 (88ml)
---------------------------------------------------
This is a very interesting exfoliating product because not only do you use it more like you would
a toner. It also does not contain any kind of visible exfoliant beads or scrub!

I have always struggled with the size of the pores on my face and have tried many products promising to diminish them. Some have worked well while many haven't. This product actually does
wonders for reducing and tightening my pores, plus it also aids in the anti-ageing aspect of my skin
as well as making the whole surface feel smoother and look youthful again!

I am amazed that such a strong working product as this is actually fragrance free!
Paula's Choice products also do not believe in animal testing which I am more than happy to
help support!

So then how do you actually use this product?
As I mentioned earlier. You simply do as you would with a facial toner. (I love toner btw, they
are great for tightening pores and clearing acne!) Simply take a cotton ball, apply some of the
Daily Pore-Refining Treatment to it and swipe all over the face and neck. This stuff is gentle enough
to use around your eyes, but not over them of course or you risk getting product into your eyes which
is never a good thing! Make sure your skin is clean before using and it is recommended to follow up
and apply your favourite moisturiser afterwards before applying makeup.

Taking this extra step into my new year's skincare routine I believe has really been worth while
in nurturing my skin into it's early 30's!

Paula's Choice
RESIST Youth-Extending Daily Mattifying Fluid
SPF 15
Moisturiser for Normal/Oily/Combination Skin!
RRP: $35.00 (60ml)
---------------------------------------------------
Being Summer in QLD, it is imperative to protect your skin from the harmful sun's UV rays daily!
I have always been sun concious and rarely ever suffer from sunburn. I once burnt quite badly when
I was about 14-15 and living in Cairns, the sun was as you would expect in TNQ, completely
unforgiving! So I in turn learnt my lesson the hard way as it make me feel quite physically ill
and I never let myself burn like that ever again!

Products such as this which contain some kind of SPF in them are quite common how a days
and so really there is no excuse not to slip, slop, slap when it is so easy.

This product is easily applied after cleansing and toning and before makeup and absorbs quickly
without leaving a greasy residue. I appreciate the mattyfying effect as even though I classify my
skin as being 'normal', it can still gain that a little more than a 'dewy' effect by the end of a long, hot,
Summer's day! I have found my skin to remain looking matte and fresh throughout the day when
I've applied this in the morning. So it is quite amazing that it moisturises and protects your skin
from the sun whilst still not feeling heavy or slick!

Fragrance free and non irritable, this whole Paula's Choice RESIST skincare range helps to
prevent the visible signs of aging and minimise pore appearance. Two of my top skincare
concerns sorted!

Check out the massive range of Paula's Choice products here to find a range
tailored to your skin type and concerns.
(They've thought of everything!)

JANUARY BELLABOX

~ BELLABOX ~

JANUARY 2015!

If you missed my review on last month's Bellabox, you can read all about it here.
I signed up for a 3 month subscription through a voucher I had for iSubscribe. :)

So here is my second box! Hooray! Overall, I think I preferred last month's box.
However I'm not hating this months as it's quite good and I am already looking forward
to next months which comes with a bonus free magazine!

Downside - I am missing the turquoise blue polka dot box which last month's came in as
it is a nice book to keep to store randoms in. However this month they have skipped a nice
looking box as the post post it arrived in was the 'box'! Guess they are trying to cut costs,
perhaps so they can provide every box with a more equal share of products as I am aware of
a large number of subscribers who have been jipped and are quite fed up and I don't blame them!
I think I have been lucky with my boxes so far!

Interested in a subscription? You can sign up right here!

Laqa & Co Lip Lube in 'Menatour'
RRP: $24.95
(FULL SIZE)
I love these kinds of lip crayon type of product as they're so much fun to apply as it makes me
feel like a kid again playing with my crayons. Only on my face! ha! :)
This has a minty scent to it similar to that of the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains!
I am really happy with the colour I received. This is purple with pink undertones so it isn't too
ott purple like the straight up purple Velourlips in Tok-i-o! It actually just gives a light tint to
your lips with a minty feel.

Exclusive Bellabox Makeup Pouch
RRP: $7.95
(FULL SIZE)
This is quite compact and cute with the polka dots. I can see myself using this when I go
on weekends away. Now as I sit here looking at it, I think it is actually the perfect size
to pack the kids toothbrushes and toothpaste into! :)

Skinnymint 28 Day Ultimate Teatox
Full Size RRP: $54.90 (28 Days)
(SAMPLE) 6 DAY
I seem to see this 'Skinny Tea' stuff everywhere and to be honest it has never interested me.
However, after reading over this pack, it does seem worth trying as it is mean to do a whole
lot of good for your body. I don't need to loose weight, however an increase in energy would
be quite beneficial to me, so I will give this a go.

Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid
Full Size RRP: $33.00 (118ml)
(TRAVEL SIZE) 30ml
I am actually using a very similar exfoliant by Paula's Choice at the moment which I am
working on featuring in an upcoming post very soon. So this will have to wait it's turn.
I do like the sound of it though and it seems like the kind of product I like to use on my skin.
Contains Salicylic Acid, which always keeps my skin clear and it says it deminishes enlarged
pores and I am always trying to find ways to make my pores smaller. So looking forward to this!

Wen By Chaz Dean Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner
Full Size RRP: $34.99 (350ml)
(SAMPLE) 60ml
I have never tried a Wen product but heard they are amazing in terms of quality and results.
The packaging reminds me a bit of a scary movie or book cover. However this is no big deal
so long as I like the product itself. Sweet Almond Mint sounds like an interesting combo which
I haven't seen around a lot. I am looking forward to trying out this generous size satchet!

BONUS!
Natralus Paw Paw Pure Gel
Full Size RRP: $10.65 (75g)
(SAMPLE)
I had something recently bite me on my leg when I was hanging the washing out and it
left quite a decent size bruise! I have no idea what it was, but I was quite shocked at the bruise
it left! There have been heaps few bugs and insects around in the steamy weather lately so I am
sure I will be able to put this to some good use in no time!

What subscription boxes are you signed up with?
Let me know if you have a Bellabox unboxing post for this month!
I'd love to read it! :)

Hope everyone is having a relaxing Aussie Day long weekend!
