KATE ANNIVERSARY

RIMMEL LONDON

Kate Moss

15th Anniversary Edition Lipstick Collection!

Always the sucker for a good lippie if you're anything like me then you'll love this collection of
classic red and nude shades by Rimmel London by Kate Moss. Each is a similar yet different shade
of pure classic elegance and mature poise. Can you believe Kate has been an iconic face for Rimmel
since 2001? Wow!

The formula is a lovely smooth soft finish with a hint of shine that lasts! Believe me those swatches
(see images below) were not an easy feat to remove!

To break it down as to how these mix of red and nude shades are actually different. Let me give you
my take on each shade. With my personal favourites being 'Rock N Roll Nude' and 'Retro Red'.

Rock N Roll Nude - This is your classy nude shade with pinky undertones.
Retro Red - Your classic deep berry Autumn tone.
My Nude - Another classic nude shade with pinky undertones, but less than Rock N Roll Nude.
Muse Red - A middle toned classic red with orange undertones.
Boho Nude - This is your basic brown mid toned nude shade.
Idol Red - This bold red to me seems borderline orange. It's like a half orange half red mixed.

SWATCHES! - Left to right : Idol Red / Boho Nude / Muse Red / My Nude / Retro Red / Rock N' Roll Nude

SWATCHES! - Top to bottom : Idol Red / Boho Nude / Muse Red / My Nude / Retro Red / Rock N' Roll Nude

These and all Rimmel London products can be found and purchased Australia wide from Priceline,
Big W, Coles, Target, Woolies and Chemist Warehouse for current RRP $13.95 each.

Another pic, because everybody loves pretty makeup flatlays! :)
And... that rose gold casing though! Ooohh!

Which shade from this collection is your favourite?
Are you a red or nudes kind of lippie girl?

RIMMEL LONDON

RIMMEL LONDON

Oh My Gloss!!

In

Glossaholic & Pin Up!

I don't know about you but I love my lips to appear glossy over matte. I know the matte lip look
seems to be more on trend and what everyone seems to be raving on about lately, however I just can't
get past that dewy shine and dump my trusty glossies!

Recently I have been trying out some newbies from Rimmel London's 'Oh My Gloss' range in these
two gorgeous pink shades and before I even tried them on I instantly fell head over heels for the
vibrant pink shades. I am loyal to the pink lip through and though. x

Glossaholic
This shade is defininitely an everyday, very wearable for any occasion kind of gloss.
The bubblegum pink give a touch of life and colour to your lips whilst still looking natural and
like your own lip colour only a little enhanced with a tint of baby pink and shine.

The formulation of these glosses are only very slightly sticky, but mostly feel very smooth on your
lips. It only has a tiny scent of what I can only think to describe as play doh. Barely noticable though!

Pin Up
This shade is more on the daring side for those confident and sassy ladies who like to stand out from
the crowd. This hot pink shade is one I wear a lot as it is nice and bright and awakens my whole face,
especially on days when I am looking a little laklustre.

These glosses can be worn over your lipstick but also work perfectly well worn on their own.
With a promised 6hr wear time, for a gloss, that is pretty impressive. If I didn't feel the need for a
meal or two inbetween those six hours I am sure the gloss would last. However so far in my
experience I have had to re-apply after eating and drinking. To be expected, so I am not suprised.

Other shades in this collection include -
Love Bug
Purrr...Glossy Cat
Snog
Oh La La
Rebel Red
Crystal Clear

Currently available to purchase from Priceline for RRP: $13.95each.

GRWM

GET READY WITH ME!

Pop Of Colour!

I can't help but keep the love theme going with this Pop Of Colour make-up look as pink lips
are just my thing. Always my go to shade no matter what day, season or occasion it is! I am
just drawn to it. So recently when I received this shade in my BellaBox from Laqa & Co I was
thrilled and couldn't wait to play! I lined my lips first with one of my favourite lip liners from
ChiChi called Bimbo. A gorgeous hot pink which helped the Laqa & Co Menatour shade stay
firmly in place and really pop!

Because I felt like playing with a bit of colour, I pulled out my coloured ChiChi eye liners
which I hadn't used in quite a while. I applied both Disco Graffiti and Disco Royalty to my
top lash line over the top of my Maybelline Master Precise black liquid liner which actually looked
alright, however it doesn't seem to show up very well in photos. I don't normally apply liner to my
bottom lashes for day to day wear, however I applied both ChiChi colours and I am really happy
with the result. :) The shadows look quite natural and show up a little more understated in photos,
however the Maybelline ExpertWear eyeshadows I am wearing are actually my favourite right
now and I have been wearing this particular quad the most. If you're interested, you can watch
my make-up tutorial using four of the quads from the range here. :)

Of course (and I always say this) my make-up is nothing without a decent base.
To get this even, smooth finish I was a bit lazy and skipped on primer for no reason in particular.
I jumped right in a applied my Maybelline Better Skin Foundation with my Beauty Blender and
then went in under my eyes with the matching Maybelline Better Skin Concealer to conceal my
tired, sleep deprived eyes. Oh! And how can I forget my brows. I recently ran out of my Avon
brow pencil and have been switching between my Maybelline Brow Mascara and the one I've
used here which is actually an eye pencil by L'Oreal but both the formul and shade work
perfectly on my brows. It keeps them in place and looking groomed but still natural.

To complete my overall look, I have framed my face with my hair using my current obsession.
The VS Sasoon Evoke straightener which is this gorgeous pink which matches my lips to a tee!
The L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil does my hair so much good by calming down my fly aways,
frizz and makes my hair feel silky smooth and soft. Bottle of pure gold this stuff!

MNY ELIXIR

~ MAYBELLINE NEW YORK~

The Elixir Lip Glosses!

Today I feel like talking about one of my favourite obsessions - lip colours!
These ones by Maybelline have been on the market for a while but they're still one of my
favs in terms of packaging, formula and shades.

If you'd like to see some makeup looks with me using some colour Elixir's
then be sure to watch the video below! :)
You can also find more info on all of the products mentioned in this video over on
M:Edition here!

These Elixir lip glosses come in 12 yummy shades.
I have these four below which I am going to now
share with you in more detail.

Blush Essence
#095
Now if you're not into bold lipstick you might initially skip right by this shade as it appears much
darker and pigmented in the tube than it actually applies on the lips.
This is one of my all time favourite lipstick shades for everyday wear as it barely appears to show
that you're even wearing a lipstick. The shade is so natural. It just gives a bit of life to your nude
lips by adding a touch of pink colour to them. Blushing them as the name suggests is an accuarte
way of describing it. These Elixir glosses do have a mild odd scent to them. I don't mind it though.
It's definitely not floral or a yummy smell, it is very unique. I cannot think of anything I could
compare it to to try to explain it. I suggest just having a whiff of a tester before purchasing just to
be sure it doesn't put you off. Also, I wouldn't recommend licking your lips whilst wearing these.
They do have a slight flavour to them which isn't all that nice.
I mean, they're not food, they're designed to look amazing (which they do!) not taste amazing!
Just sayin'!

Petal Plush
#100
This shade is similar to Blush Essence, however the tint is slightly lighter.
It reminds me of pale pink fairy floss. It is so light and pretty with a touch of shimmer and shine.
This is also an ideal shade for your casual everyday look as it looks so natural and pretty by
enhancing your lips natural shape and colour. I like to quickly pop a bit of this on my lips
on days when I've just chucked on a pair of demin shorts and a casual top and I'm heading out
to grab a few groceries or visit my sister. I feel like this would make a good first lip product
for anyone just starting out with makeup or are still quite young and don't want to over do it.

Signature Scarlet
#020
This Elixir shade is probably out of these four that I own the only one which actually
appears as vibrant in terms of it's shade on your lips as it does from just looking at the tube.
It definitely has that 'Signature' classic vibe about it being as it is classicaly red.
What I love about this particular shade though, is you can just apply a touch of it to your cupid's
bow and then smudge it out a little for a just bittin tint. Or you can totally build it up for an
all over bombshell, seductive look.

Caramel Infused
#065
This is a sneaky one as the name Caramel Infused has be thinking this shade must be some
kind of brown colour. However, even though it appears that dark, brownish, caramel tint
from the outside. Once applied it actually just lightly tints your lips into a shiny, medium
dark rosey pink! Actually, it is quite close to my natural lip colour. This shade doesn't contain
the tiny shimmer particals that both Blush Essense and Petal Plush have. The formula is very
smooth (Not that the others with the shimmer are gritty at all, they're not!) and the unique shaped
applicator makes it easy to apply as it glides from side to side along your lips.

Have you tried these Elixir's?

LUKBEAUTIFOOD

~ lĂ¼k beautifood ~

Lip Nourish Lipstick
In
Vanilla & Cinnamon

Review!

Created & founded by the gorgeous Cindy Lukin, the brand lĂ¼k beautifood
includes not only this delicious, smooth and nourishing 100%
natural Lip Nourish food makeup.
(Also available in six other creative flavours/shade combos as seen in the swatches below)
This innovative and modern company also stock a variety of mascaras, eyeliners &
eyeliner pencils, eyeshadow, lip glosses, lip & cheek stains, both powder
& liquid foundations, concealer, eyebrow powder, even nail polish!
The list goes on!

Not only that, lĂ¼k beautifood have just recently introduced their
1 Day Juice Cleanse which includes a FREE lip nourish!
So if you're wanting to kick off spring healthy and refreshed
this could be a great way to start! Includes a total of 5 juices - one
being a milk which of course is no ordinary boring milk drink.
(Personally I find cows milk gives me stomach cramps)
This milk contains a mix of almonds, cardamom, cinnamon, dates,
water, nutmeg, sea salt & vanilla bean!

You can find out more about what lĂ¼k beautifood has to offer on their website!
http://www.lukbeautifood.com

Back to the Lip Nourish!! Pictured above, is the lesser pigmented shade of all the flavours.
Yet the shade does in no way diminish the scent nor quality of the product!
I am obsessed with Vanilla and Cinnamon as it is a scent I grew up with. We always had it
in the house and regularly used it in cooking. So this flavour combo attracted me straight away
and smelling them for the first time mixed together bought back memories of my sister & I
making sugar and cinnamon sandwiches together after school when we were little.

The vanilla isn't as dominating as the cinnamon, yet you can still smell it slightly and
taste it more when it is on your lips as it cuts through the intensity of the cinnamon.

As someone who has always grown up having pets and being around animals, naturally
I love them and am a big believer and in complete support of companies who find alternate
ways to test their products. I am also not much into eating meat or meat products.
Although I have not ruled them completely from my diet, I consume very little and try
to nourish my body with more natural plant based foods in replace of red and white meats
as I just in general do not crave the texture or taste. So the fact that Luk Beautifood is
completely vegetarian and vegan goes with everything I believe in and am looking for in not
only my food products, but beauty products as well!

The fact lĂ¼k beautifood is created completely from food and natural ingredients
and not harsh chemicals and other long term nasty products just goes to show how
much this brand cares for it's consumers and not just how much is going into their back pocket!
I am impressed by a brand who can think forwardly into the future of the beauty world.
Delivering a range of quality products the majority of the population actually
want and are looking for! Who support using clean, natural and
healthy products in and on their bodies.

This Lip Nourish contains;
 Vitamins A, C & E,
Antioxidants Omega 3+6
Essential Fatty Acids from Avocado
Sesame Seeds, Jojoba, Beeswax, Cocoa Butter
& more!

I would describe this product as a clear balm packaged like a lipstick.
It feels smooth as silk on my lips. Isn't at all sticky or grainy.
It makes my lips look natural, supple and moist - but not shiny or glossy.
The balm last all day with me just having to reapply after eating or drinking.
I have also found this to be the perfect product to help protect, hydrate and keep lips
form drying out over night, so wearing this to bed has been beneficial.
I have also tested wearing this on a windy day and the harsh wind doesn't cut through it!
I must remember to have this handy with me throughout these hot Spring & Summer
months to protect my lips when I am at the beach or down by the pool. :)

Delightfully packaged in matte, crisp white, gold and yellow with slightly raised grey
writing of the flavour on the side. This generous twist balm can be purchased for
RRP: $24.95 full size. Or to get an idea and sneak peak of their range of flavours
you can order one of their Lip Nourish Tasting Plates which let's you sample each of
the seven shades for just $3.00!

APOCOLIPS

~ Rimmel London ~

Apocolips!

These lip lacquers have been around for a while now and have remained
a firm favourite in my collection so it makes sense to me to want to blog
about them!

As a member of Beautyheaven's video trial team, last year I was given the
opportunity to try out the whole range and create a video review which
I'd love for you to check out at the end of this post! ;)

The vast range of shades available is I have to say, perfect!
Seriously, there is a shade for every occasion and one to suit just about
everyone! They are super glossy, yet are as pigmented as they come &
just as vital when it comes to the perfect lipstick, they stay on your lips!

I love them all, but to break it down, here are the shades in my order of preference!

Apocalyptic
Nova
Stellar
Stargazer
Celestial
Solstice

BABYLIPS

~ MAYBELLINE ~

Baby Lips in Mango Pie!

You know those days when you just don't feel like loading up the makeup
onto your face? When you don't have plans to leave the house so what's the point?
Well, to be honest, I have quite a few days like that. As I am a stay at home mum.

I don't usually wear lipstick at home everyday, but I always like to wear
some kind of balm at least.
The Maybelline Baby Lips have got to be my favourite kind!
The packaging is so bright, colourful and happy.

There are so many different flavours, it's easy to become addicted and wanting
to collect them all. I am currently on a strict de-cluttering
diet so I only have four and that's enough to keep me going for now.

The current fav of the bunch is this Mango Pie flavoured scent.
It's so yummy, I find myself kicking my lips constantly!

Not only does it taste yummy, it also feels nice on the lips.
Glides on smoothly and leaves my lips moisturised, soft and supple for a few
hours before the need to reapply without feeling like I have a heavy gloss of balm
suffercating them.

As you can see, my lips look natural and nude.
The Balm doesn't give off much of a tint to your lips at all,
so it's perfect for all ages. I love that young ones can wear it too!
My 3 year old, like most little girls loves any opportunity to dive into
my makeup and play dress up. At least with these they can't make too much
of a mess and they don't end up looking like a crazy clown afterwards!

What's your favourite Baby Lips flavour?

Who doesn't love Lush!? Hand made and environmentally friendly, you
really can't go wrong! I am a HUGE fan of the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub,
so I am keen to try this new popcorn flavour! Very unique I must say and
smells very much like a buttery delight! Contains Castor Sugar, Jojoba Oil,
Sea Salt, Polenta, Coconut Oil & Popping Candy! Wow!

StyleSign Straight Sleek Perfection
RRP: $24.95
This is a sample 20ml size thermal spray serum which aids
in keeping the hair in a straight, sleek style when used with a
straightener.  This sounds like something I will love as my hair
needs this kind of product or it runs riot!

Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter Pencil
RRP: $22.00 (Full Size!)
This 1.4g highlighter pencil appears to be quite a nice,
neutral shade which will keep your featured looking natural,
yet enhanced with a gentle lighter tint. I would use this on the lower
lash line for a wide eyed look, just above the cheek bones for a subtle
glow and even on my lips for a lovely muted nude look with my eyes being
played up as the main feature. Gorgeous, versatile product!

Eve's Ready To Wear Moisturising Lipstick by Teeez
Trendy Cosmetics
RRP: $32.00 (Full Size!)
I don't know how I have never seen nor heard of this brand,
because, WOW! How amazing is this packaging!? I just LOVE it!!
It's far from plain or boring, that's for sure and I think the rose gold
and acrylic clear detailing is absolutely stunning!
The shade is called "Tempting Pink"
and is the perfect everyday lipstick. This is definitely my new favourite
and will be replacing all others in my makeup bag!

Long lasting!
Repairs damaged lips!

Timeless Truth Herbal Rejuvenation Immortelle Mask
(Functionality Series)
RRP: $8.00 (Full Size!)
This mask is a Green Tea Phenol Soothing Mask which contains the
natural extract of green tea to sooth the skin gently. As it is a cloth mask,
it is quite clever, working in a different way to your regular mask.
The cloth works to keep the air from the skin so it can work better at
regulating your skins oils. Who knew green tea did so much for your skin?
It prevents premature signs of aging, refines the skins texture, minimizes large
pores, reduces acne, improves uneven skin tone & dark pigmentation
and repairs the skin. I'm impressed!

Timeless Truth Miracle Rejuvenation Mask
(Lifting Mask)
RRP: $7.00
MISSING FROM MY BOX!
:(

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse
RRP: $24.95 (50ml)
$39.95 (100ml)
This 4ml sample size sounds much simular to my fav L'Oréal
extraordinary oil mixed with Bio Oil. A multi purpose oil designed to use
on your face, body and hair. It contains 6 different plant oils which claims to
nourish, repair, soften and reduce stretch marks on the skin.
There seems to be a lot of hype around this product at the moment so I am
looking forward to trying it, although I'm not sure if 4ml is enough to
really notice any results, especially regarding stretch marks.

Nuxe Creme Merveillance
RRP: $64.95 (50ml)
This 2ml sample size is designed for normal to dry skin and claims
to fill in, plump and sooth visible expression lines.
I'm not sure if this works instantly or over time, so we shall see..
Sounds promising and with the full size price tag I would hope it would
work! Contains flower root and seed extracts. Nice!
