DREAM DOTS

~  DREAM DOTS  ~

http://www.dreamdotsforspots.com

Unless you're extremely lucky or have been blessed with incredible genes chances are you're suffered
from the odd break out of two (or a hundred!) in your lifetime. I know I have had my fair share and
over the past almost 20 years I have tried and tested countless amounts of bottles, potions and tubes
to try and get rid of them for good! I do have a few holy grails which I will continue to use for as
long as I feel I need to and at the moment I am also using these - Dream Dots!

What has me loving these are how unique they are! They are not just another facial wash, serum or
even gel. They are patches! Yes patches, similar to that of a cold sore patch which a fellow fav
blogger of mine pointed out to me recently.

They are small, discreet and so easy to use! You just pop one on over that annoying angry spot
and sleep with it on overnight. By morning the spot will have changed from clear to a whitish shade
and once you peel it off you will see you zit calmed right down. Less red and puffy and over the
period of a few days it will disappear completely! Not bad when it does all this whilst you sleep!

Recently I had a break out around my lower cheek area and wanted to get rid of them asap,
especially since I have been on a bit of a filming binge lately and nobody wants to be distracted by
that in a beauty video! So I madly stuck about 5 onto my face at once and over about 2-3 days my
face was pretty much back to normal. Yay!

For details on where you can purchase yourself some Dream Dots make sure you check out their

OCTOBER EMPTIES

~  O c t o b e r    E m p t i e s !  ~

Herbal Essences
Honey I'm Strong Conditioner
Loved the smell of this! I am obsessed with anything honey scented and this
didn't disappoint. One of my favs, this and the Herbal Essences Hello Hydration!
Will definitely buy again!

The only thing I didn't like about this shampoo bottle was that it is quite small
at 200ml. But the product itself is pretty amazing. I loved how it made my hair
feel super soft and nourished. Perfect for my dry, frizzy hair.

Aroma Body Essence
Aromatherapy Foot Lotion
With all the moisturisers I have patiently waiting in line for their turn to
be opened and used up I was happy to get through this one.
With it being Spring/Summer and getting hot I'm not longer wearing socks to bed
like I did in the Winter when it was easy to apply a foot cream before bed and have it
soak it through the night. Now with it being too hot I've just been applying this to the
tops of my feet and around my ankles.
Pretty nice product, made in Australia too.

In Style Honey Peach
Nail Polish Remover
The scent of this smells nothing like Honey or Peach.
This was a cheapie bought from a $2 shop yonks ago which is fine
when it comes to nail polish removers, I'm not fussed on the brand so
long as it does the job, which this did, so happy to buy again.

Avon Hand
Care Complex
This had a nice consistency which I really liked as it was a bit runnier than
most other hand creams so it was easier to massage into the skin and didn't
feel sticky or too thick like I couldn't touch anything afterwards.

MOR Mini Body Butters
Snow Gardenia & Marshmallow
Even though these are only 5g samples the scent they produce is super
strong! My husband wasn't a fan, but I absolutely LOVED these!
The Snow Gardenia in particular was a fav this month. The smell is divine!
The Marshmallow is nice too and reminds me of pink musk stick lollies!

Colgate Total
Advanced Whitening Toothpaste
Nothing bad to say about this product.
Worked well to give my teeth and mouth a good clean.
Has a pleasant taste and does an alright job at whitening, but nothing to rave about.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost
Water Gel
Somehow I ended up with 2 of these sample tubes.
The first one I used up in last months empties.
Great product I would be happy to purchase.
Just concentrating on using what I have first though.

Manicare & BYS
All In One & Top Coat
Old and discoloured yellow instead of clear.
Time to go!
Both worked well and I would repurchase.

JULY FAVOURITES

~ July Favourites ~

Clear Intense Hydration Shampoo & Conditioner
This also featured as a favourite of mine in my June Favourites last month,
and even though I've been juggling a few different shampoos and conditioners
this month, this one still remains a firm fav!

L'Oréal Paris Eyeshadow Palette in Northern Lights
I recently hauled this palette and haven't stopped using it ever since!
The shades are perfect to create a natural everyday look that is buildable
for also going out at night and the shades compliment my features really nicely.

Maybelline NY Superstay Better Skin Foundation in Light Beige
I've been trialing this for Beautyheaven recently and have been enjoying the results.
Goes on very smooth and looks and feels light whilst still providing a decent
amount of coverage.
Stay tuned for a in depth dedicated review coming soon!

Puretopia Bioactive Solutions Gentle Exfoliating Face Scrub
I've only been using this for a short time, but I already feel like this is a
worthy fav! It is definitely one of my more luxurious scrubs. Feels
very pampering and does a brilliant job at gently removing dead skin
build up leaving my skin so smooth and soft!

Maybelline NY Baby Lips in Mango Pie
Another MNY fav would have to be my baby lips, in particular this month
the Mango flavour has taken my fancy most of all. Once you get past the vibrant
and bright coloured packaging which I love, the formula itself is sheer and smells
amazing! I love to apply this throughout the day when I'm home or out and about
with the kids as I'm constantly hugging and kissing them! With this I don't have to
worry about any sticky or coloured lip product transferring onto them.

Organic Care Ginger & Lemongrass Antibacterial Hand Wash
I recently trialed this for Beautyheaven and it has made me realize how much
I enjoy using liquid hand washes as opposed to block soaps.
I especially like the antibacterial aspect of this product as I'm currently
in the middle of toilet training my toddler and needless to say we have been
putting this to very good use!

Scunci Pin Twirls
These are such a versatile hair product and are perfect for holding hair in
place without the need for any elastics or bobby pins.
Check out my tutorial here!

Luminesce Cellular Rejuvenation Serum
Only in the past maybe two years or so have I discovered the power of
facial serums. I only wish I'd known how much of a difference they actually
make to your skin earlier. This one I've been particularly impressed with
lately. I've been using this for quite a few months and the results are evident
in my skins overall appearance.

Skin B5 Skin Purifying Mask
I'd never used a Skin B5 product before I tried this which I received
late last year in my Blogstar prize pack.
As my skin is naturally acne prone, unless I keep it in check with products such as
this, it goes ballistic! If I just want a quick pimple fix, I'll just dab a little bit of
this on the spot and leave it on as long as i can throughout the day or night
and it clears the area right up. It's brilliant!

JUNE FAVS

~ JUNE FAVOURITES ~

2014

L'Oreal Paris Nail Polish in White Gold
I picked this up from Priceline recently and omg, the colour is full on GLITTER!!!
No sparse spots or crappy clear application, this glitter goes on with a full completed coat
of white gold glitter with just ONE coat! Looks so beautiful, watch out for a NOTD post featuring
this baby coming soon! :)

Bloom Black Liquid Eyeliner
I can't live without liquid eyeliner. So when I recently used up
all of my Rimmel one, I came back to this one which I had only used
a few times. I love this because the tip as you can see is nice and thin
which makes for a more controlled application. It hasn't dried out in the
slightest and I just love the packaging. Super cute!

Love this, it is so so yummy! The smell reminds me of a caramel/vanilla
fudge lolly or something similar. Such a massive bottle I sure hope I don't tire
of it too quickly! Lathers up so beautifully and feels so soft and smooth on my skin.

Shampoo & Conditioner
No matter what I do or what products I use, my hair always tends to be dry and frankly
a pain in the ass. So I am always using moisturising products and products that promise
to d-frizz my hair. The fact that I heat iron the crap out of it on the hottest setting I can
possible get to probably doesn't help the situation, but that's just the way I roll.
A hotter setting means I get the job done quicker and I don't have time to be standing
around straightening my hair for hours on end in a low setting just to make my hair a
bit less dry. There are products like these below to fix me breaking all the rules of hair care!

VS Sassoon Curl Secret
Speaking of hot hair tools, I've been in love with my Curl Secret again lately.
For something a bit different than the regular boring straight hair I normally sport,
I've been trying to get that Victoria's Secret type of curl since my hair has become super
long lately. Out of all of my other curling tools, this is working the best to create the look
I'm going for. I might do a hair tutorial soon. Is that something you'd like to see? Let me know! :)

Watch My Curl Secret Demo Below!

I love everything about this lipstick!
The colour is the perfect pink. Wearable to go with everything, everyday.
The packaging is beautiful rose gold and very funky in design.
I just can't get enough. Has become my go-to lip product!

I seem to have been into a lot of hair products this month.
This is great because, well, my hair is a pretty big part of my life and my overall
appearance. Being long, it needs a lot of work and to have great products to help me out
makes my life so much easier! This brush has made brushing a much more pleasant
experience. It somehow manages to get all of my tangles loose without me having to
tug or pull at my hair. It does the job quickly and painlessly! My three year old has been
using the kids version of this and loves it too. They come in fun colours and I love that
I don't have to feel so guilty about brushing my hair when it's wet because these are designed
that you can actually do that without damaging your hair because of the way the bristles are
laid out on the brush head.

CLEAR INTENSE HYDRATION

NEW!

Clear Scalp & Hair Beauty Therapy

Intense Hydration

Shampoo & Conditioner

I have to straight up admit, celebrity endorsed beauty products get my attention.
Especially if it's a particular person whom I admire or let's be honest,
enjoy following and being in awe of how perfect their lives seem.
Everybody knows Miranda Kerr, amd as the face of Clear Scalp & Hair Beauty
Therapy, I think she suits the brand perfectly.

I am excited to see this new Intense Hydration Shampoo & Conditioner
being introduced into the range because i have had a positive
experience with the 7 day challenge in the past and my hair
can always use a little extra bit of hydration, especially
since I heat the cap out of it almost everyday with my straightener.

This contains cactus extract which not only leaves your hair feeling
softer and healthier. It also aids in preventing your hair from
looking and becoming all weak and dry after using heat tools.
I've noticed a healthy looking, silky shine to the full length of my
hair since using this which makes me feel like maybe, just maybe
my hair might be starting to look just a little bit like Miranda's!?
:)

For just $5.99ea, you get 200ml in each bottle.
Not bad considering the salon smooth,
looking results!

March Empties - Products I Have Used Up!

Whoever the genius was who started these kinds of blog/vlog posts I'd like to thank because not only do I love to watch and read about them, they have also motivated me to dig through my own stash of backed up bathroom goodies and start to use up the ones I have that have just been sitting around either unopened or used once or twice for god knows how long!

Recently on Beautyheaven, where I spend a lot of my time stalking the forums, I came across a thread called the 'Project 50 Plan'. This is a challenge to use up 50 products stashed in your bathroom whilst not buying any unnecessary items in between. The aim is to de-clutter, without wasting any items and reward yourself at the end. This has motivated me to begin this challenge and delve into the masses of products I have cluttering up my bathroom, one by one!

This is what I've managed to finish up so far this month...

Schwarzkopf Ultimate Oil Elixir Shampoo & Conditioner
-
I was sent these to trial from Beautyheaven, and as much as I enjoyed these products (especially the shimmery gold formula of the shampoo) of course something new always comes along when I'm half way through and I end up switching to something else. So I decided to go back and finish these babies up!

First Glance White Pearl Nail Polish
-
Whilst I was digging through my cupboards and draws I came across this random polish that somehow got missed when I stored all my polishes in my new makeup draws.  It is pretty ancient, gluggy and completely unusable. Bye - bye!

Clear Shampoo &Conditioner Sample Size

-
I received these samples in the mail a little while ago and figured starting off trying to use up as many samples as possible was probably going to be a more successful way to start.

Schick Hydro Silk Razor Refill Blade
-
After seeing some poor girl die from a flesh eating disease from using an old razor that gave her a small cut one night whilst I was watching TV at some crazy hour it totally made me so much more aware about changing my blades often!

Biore Nose Strip
-
I absolutely dispose having blocked pores, so I don't mind how often I use these. I have a few other brands to get through that will most likely feature in my next empties.

Natural Paw Paw Ointment
-
Apparently this can be used for pretty much anything, including as a moisturiser and on razor burns, which I found a patch on my calf stinging and itchy the other night after shaving, so I rubbed this all over my legs. Worked nicely. :)

Gillette Series Pre Shave Scrub
-
I have no idea where this sample size scrub came from, but I found it in amongst hubby's stash of samples & products I know he will never get to, so I figured it would make an all right all over body scrub. The scent was very manly, but it was quite a harsh, abrasive scrub, which I like and left my skin silky smooth and smelling great!

Who else is trying to work through their products?
Have you blogged about it? Let me know as I would love to check yours out too. :)
