 Being a stay at home mum you might think I have all the time in the world to sit down and conduct
my morning skincare routine, right? Wrong!! Oh how so, so wrong you are!

Let me explain...  (fellow Mummy's I know you feel me!) Picture this - Finally fall into bed after a
long day of day to day activities, chasing around two kids under five. Getting around 6-7 hours of
broken sleep after getting up 3-4 times putting said kids back into their own beds, (since they seem
to think ours is so much cosier) then waking up abruptly again at around 6am with them both
crawling, jumping, kicking or fighting all over us. Either that or they're asking for food/drink/phone/
TV, etc, etc!!

Needless to say getting up to conduct a nice relaxing skincare routine of a bunch of lovely products is
the last thing on my mind at 6am! Once I have the kids sorted and happy. I then stumble into the
shower, fantasise about how good my morning coffee is going to be, throw some clothes on and then
maybe, MAYBE, if the stars are all alined and it's a good day I'll delve into my beauty stash and have
a good little play!

Lately, the newest product I have been playing with and having a fun time trying is this Cinch Face
Cheat which is basically one of those cool time saving multi use products which acts as a daily
moisturiser, primer, illuminator and hydrating mist all in one!

The lightly fragranced formula is almost a translucent white which once sprayed onto the skin (I find
just one spray held half an arms length away from my face is enough) is non greasy and feels close to
that of any regular facial primer once dry, only more liquid-y when wet. It seems to have that smooth
feeling to the skin, therefore providing an even base for applying makeup.

Free from those nasties everybody is trying to avoid when it comes to skincare and makeup products

Since Summer if fast approaching and most of my skin has come out of it's winter hyberation I have
been self tanning a whole lot more lately using a variety of different brands and products. However
on lazy days, when I am lacking the time for a full on full body tanning sesh but am still after a nice
natural looking glow to my skin. 

I have been reaching for my Jergens Natural Glow which not only
gradually tans my skin it also firms the skin which is a double yay because my lack of exercise means
my skin, especially my legs can always do with some firming up and the firming within this cream
along with the bronzing shade means my legs, skin and whole body is left looking much leaner and
ready for bikini the weather! Has a lovely smell to it as well.

When it comes to skincare, being a girlie girl at heart I can't deny I am always drawn in by pretty
appealing packaging. Like this luxurious set by ESJ Skincare, there is no denying the presentation
of these products is second to none. Definitely something very special!

This sweet pink sturdy box keeps your womanly bottles safe and secure after purchase, or in

product duo is the perfect pick for any woman!

So we all know as we get older our skin ages along with us. This resulting in fine lines, wrinkles,
saggy skin, age spots and loss of collagen. I like many began my skincare routine in my tweens,
predominately almost always targeted toward acne and more recently anti-ageing products.
This is my first experience using whitening skincare products and learning more about the benefits
and seeing some great results!

I never really knew much about what 'whitening' actually meant when it came to this term used in
skincare. Initially I thought I heard somewhere along the line it was a product those with naturally
darker skin used to lighten up their skin's colour gradually. I am pretty sure these kinds of products
still exist, however these products from Elucent Skincare are more targeted toward lightening age
spots and brightening the skin - therefore the term 'whitening' makes complete sense!
In addition this range also evens out uneven skin tone, making it appear youthful, glowing and at it's
absolute best!

Let's take a closer look...

Elucent Whitening Exfoliating Cleanser

 I don't just cleanse my face twice a day because it is just part of my skincare routine. I do this because I have had enough experience to know that if I don't then my skin goes crazy and I break out in spots, my pores look gunky and I can just feel the build up of dead skin upon the surface. For me, having
my face cleansed regularly makes a massive difference!

I particularly love exfoliants because these types of cleansers seem to work best on my skin. My skin
is neither oily nor dry, however does break out if I am not on top of it. I like to exfoliate my whole
body, especially my face every second day or so. This keeps my skin feeling smooth and soft by
gently cleansing away the skin cells we naturally shed everyday. Leave them there and that's when I
notice the rough skin and bumps coming up because the pores on my skin are being blocked and
cannot breathe.

This exfoliating cleanser is quite mild in terms of texture and feel. It is in no way harsh on the skin
and the tiny grains cleanse away at the skin gently leaving it feeling refreshed and new again.

Elucent Whitening Day Moisturiser

More and more I am leaning toward moisturisors which contain some kind of SPF. I am even looking
for this more and more in my makeup I use everyday! Sun protection is imperative to keeping a
youthful appearance and long term health on both the surface and beneath the top layers of the skin.

This light wright hydrator not only contains a broad spectrum SPF 30 is also contains ingredients
such as Sunflower Seed Oil which soothes, brightens and moisturisers the skin as well as aiding in
the skins cell reproduction. This product also brightens the skin, increases elasticity, evens out the
skin tone and boosts collagen levels! That is a whole lot of power in just one simple daily product!

The pump bottle makes it so easy to use and gives you just the right amount of product per
application. The clear cap helps to keep everything protected, clean and stay fresh.

Elucent Whitening Spot Corrector

I feel like I have either been partly lucky or just super sun smart throughout my life to as yet am to
discover any sun spots on my skin. However I am still fairly young so who know what time will do
to my skin in the years to come. I figure prevention is key and so I figure whilst I have this I might as
well just use it anyway!

I apply a pea size amount of this product all over my face and neck a few times a week. If I do have
any age spots just beneath the surface than hopefully this product filled with the skin whitening
benefits of Vitamins B3, C & E as well as Emblica Fruit Extract and Safflower Seed Oil will keep
any spots from appearing.

Elucent Whitening Eye Cream

Using eye cream is usually a step within my skincare routine I tend to forget which is really slack
since around the delicate eye area where the skin is thinner it really is so important to give that part
of your face some extra love. I have a few light crows feet which I feel like has surfaced due to not
always remembering or misplacing where my sunnies are therefore not wearing them all the time
when I am in the sun or driving. Squinting is not cute. >_<

Having a whole collection of skincare products from the same range makes it nice and easy NOT to
forget to use this! I have these all lined up and ready to use in my bathroom every morning and every
time so it is impossible for me not to see them and so I can't forget which is fantastic!

This eye cream is very gentle and feels quite soothing both in the morning when my eyes are a bit
puffy and at night when they are just plain tired! The thin tube and small hole gives great control to
make sure I don't over do the amount of product I use each time.

Elucent Whitening Night Moisturiser

 50g - $34.99

Ah night time moisturising! Lathering on a thick layer of moisturiser after a relaxing hot shower
after a long day is a simple yet favourable habit I savour each day! I don't get a lot of time to myself
so it's nice when I do get to indulge in something nice for myself for 10-15 minutes each day.

Although this is just a facial night moisturiser (I have others for the body) it it so important to me to
let my face soak it in and let it work to help replenish my skin whilst I sleep each night. Again, this
moisturiser helps to reduce dark spots and evens out skin tone. I feel like since using this whole
entire range of products over the past few months my skin really does seem to have a brighter,
more even and youthful appearance. It is amazing how having some uneven skin tone can really
make a huge difference to your overall appearance and I feel like it was ageing me!

Has anyone else begun to feel the chill of the crisp Winter air? For me it is already creeping into my
room and under the covers in the early hours of the AM and slightly waking me up in a dazed and
groggy state.

My skin has been on a great run over the past 6-9 months or so. Thanks mainly due to a great batch of
a range of different skincare products I have been testing out. Thankfully they have all seemed to
agree with me, which honestly makes it difficult to choose just one favourite.

One of those new favs to join my skincare club in my overflowing bathroom is this absolutely devine
daily essence moisturiser by Australian Bush Flower Essences. This can be used on your face, hands
and body and boasts a thick earthy bush scented white cream that absorbs within a few minutes and
has left my skin feeling loved and soft again after it being slightly dried out over the chilly nights.

I have been applying this to my face in the morning. Just a tiny amount and patting it gently into my
skin rather than rubbing it in for a more caring approach to my skin which also helps eliminate
causing damage and premature winkling and sagging to the skin by moving the skin around.


I would describe this as a thick, rich cream which is also quite heavily scented. However the scent
is fresh, earthy and slightly floral without the overpowering perfume kind of smell. It has more of a
natural strong aroma, as if you have just taken a deep breath out in a overgrown thick Australian
bush. Nourishes and rebalances the skin whilst working hard to improve the skin's texture and
smoothing out those pesky fine lines, which I have noticed this to have done the most noticeably on
the backs of my hands. 

Contains bush essences of Billy Goat Plum, Bottlebrush, Bush Fuchsia, Crowea, Five Corners, Mulla
Mulla, Old Man Banksia, Peach-Flowers Tea-Tree, Pink Flannel Flower and She Oak.

Did anyone else's mum make them take Vitamin C tablets every morning before school?
I remember way back in primary school when we lived in the northern suburbs of Sydney and
my sister and I would walk to the bus stop sucking on a Vitamin C tablet. 

When it comes to skincare I am not as experienced when it comes to using Vitamin C in beauty
 products as I am using them on the inside. However the benefits of this super vitamin are so great, it
 completely makes sense to also use it in this way.

The formula of this is that of a white creamy consistency which feels more matte than oily which 
quickly becomes apparent as you work it into the skin as it gives the skin a more even, smooth and 
matte look. Not only the visual effects of this product are so great, as are the long term effects and
results this product gives. These include building collagen, reducing skin inflammation and 
discolouration repairing the skin making it more firm and looking at it's natural best whilst also
reducing the look of ageing.


Product Contains the following - Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid & Silicones.

Being both a serum and moisturiser in one I love that it saves me time by being a 2 in 1 product.
Recommended to use both morning and in the evening. I have found I only need to use a very small
amount (about the size of a pea) to feel it working all over my face. I love using products where I can
actually feel that very slight tingling sensation. This only lasts for about a minute and does not irritate
at all! In fact it actually makes my skin appear clearer like when you have just wipes off a really good
deep cleansing face mask. It is really quite interesting!

Overall, I would recommend this product for anyone who would like to prevent the look of ageing or
like me would in addition like to repair some of the damage already incurred from every day life.

 Always up for trying new and different skincare and especially when it comes to acne fighting
products which target directly to the cause and treat the skin, then that is definitely something to
gain my attention and interest!

Being a acne sufferer since my pre-teens I have been there and done that with just about all the
different products and 'home remedies' you could think of. Previously I had tried and used up a
whole tub of Skin B5's Skin Purifying Mask and found the results to be quite satisfactory so when the
opportunity came to me a little while ago to test out more of the range I jumped at the chance!

Here are my reviews of each product I have been using over the past few months and how I feel
each product went and how it effected my skin and weather or not I would recommend each one
for those like me who suffer from adult acne.

Acne Control Cleansing Mousse (200ml)
Cleansing my whole face and neck twice daily has been the norm for me pretty much my whole life,
so making the switch over to this Cleansing Mousse was an easy feat. I have used cleansing mousse
type of acne targeted products before with really good results so I expected this to be the same.

I wasn't wrong! This product is amazing! So easy to use with the easy pump top dispensing just the
right amount of foamy goodness which I swear I could feel working on my skin as I massaged it in.
Removed all of that excess greasy feel from a long day or warm night without stripping my skin.
I left my skin soft and the few spots I had when I first began using this skincare range were instantly
less red and a little shrunken down. And this was just after the first cleanse! Impressive to say the
least!

Contains salicylic acid which seems to be loved by some and hated by others. I personally love it as
every facial cleansing product I have ever used with this ingredient has always worked at fighting my
acne very quickly. With my skin being 'normal' it has never dried it out whilst keeping the oil under
control. The Green Tea & Aloe Vera have a light scent and soothing feel on the skin and is very
moisturising and healing to the skin as well. RRP $22.95

Acne Control Moisturiser (100ml)
It is a hard task to find such a deeply moisturising facial cream that isn't greasy and soaks straight
down into the skin. It takes some detective work and I think with this Acne Control Moisturiser I
have found the one with the magic combination of ingredients including - Green Tea, Jojoba Oil &
Vitamin B5.

Whilst using this in conjunction with the Acne Control Cleansing Mousse and other Skin B5 products
below, the change I can see on the surface on my skin is pretty awesome. Even my pores, which are
one of my biggest annoyances appear to have shrunk down in size and are completely clear of any
gunk and dirt. It seems rare to find such a product combination to do this and I have only ever used
a few others which also have the power to do this successfully. RRP $22.95

Skin Purifying Mask (100gm)
If your acne is quite severe to begin with then I would recommend going full throttle using this mask
straight away a few times a week to let the specially formulated product really get to work in deeply
cleansing the skin and getting the oil production under control in order for the other products within
the Skin B5 range to aid in keeping the skin under control and healing from deep within so to prevent
any future break outs keeping the skin as clear as possible.

With hard working ingredients including - Avocado Oil, Peppermint, Bergamot Oil, Green Clay, Aloe
 Vera, Deep Sea Minerals and of course Vitamin B5 which you will find in all of Skin B5's products.

After the first two weeks of dedicated use 2-3 times a week I found cutting back to once a week was
all that was needed for my skin to keep up with being deeply cleansed and keeping clear and free of
dirt and impurities. This product is fantastic for those short on skincare time as it only takes 5 minutes
to dry onto the skin and can be simply rinsed away after that, it is that simple! RRP $34.95

Acne Control Capsules (x90 or 3month supply)
Honestly, I am not usually inclined to purchase or take any kind of vitamin or health supplement.
I just prefer the old fashioned way of portion controlled eating healthy with fruits and vegetables and
 all the other good stuff for a balaned diet. However since the reviews and reputation of these
 products I have heard and read about seem to all be so positive and with no nasty chemicals or
ingredients included I struggled to find a reason not to give them a fair chance.

One of the benefits I found really interesting and more appealing was the fact that both the Skin B5
capsules and tables not only help with keeping the skin under control working from the inside out,
it also works to relieve stress which is something that I really struggle with on a daily basis.

Recommended for mild to moderate acne sufferers who prefer a relatively smaller size capsule to
swallow. RRP $39.95

Acne Control Extra Strength Tablets (x180 or 30day supply)
These Skin B5 Extra Strength tablets are quite impressive in terms of claims. Here they are below -

No wonder they are 'Extra Strength'! A bit of a larger tablet to take however this has never been an
issue for me. I have luckily always found taking tablets, even large ones easy. Those ones you are
recommended to take every single day whilst pregnant and breast feeding are giant suckers and I took
them with both my babies for more than 12months each time!

The recommended dosage is quite a lot to commit to, especially since in the beginning I wasn't all
that keen on taking supplements in the first place. However I had nothing to loose and my skin was
in the middle of a acne binge on my face with the main focus being on my cheeks, chin and the odd one on my forehead. These tablets and capsules are designs both for the face and body. I do get the
odd cluster of small bumps on my shoulders and upper back and these have now completely cleared.

I can't be sure if my stress levels have come down or my mood increased as my mind is a
complicated crazy place and with ongoing thyroid issues I don't know if these capsules and tables
have the capacity to take control of 100% of my hormones. RRP $49.95


Overall I have definitely noticed a dramatic improvement overall in my overall skin from using all of
 these products and have really enjoyed them all and found it very interesting and delightful with the
 clear results.

Going through my teens, like most I suffered from acne. It all began at age 11 and since then has
been an on off relationship which I just can't seem to break away from. Even heading into my mid
thirties! I wouldn't have though I'd still be suffering from breakouts at this age, but yep, it still
happens, thankfully nowhere near as bad as when I was a teen, however still just as un-welcome and
annoying!

Recently I have been using Real-U products as my main source in my everyday routine. They are
Australian and not just for teens as my skin has been benefiting from their range too! :)
The three products I have been using twice daily are these ones below which I will talk about more,
but if you're interested in the details of each product you can check out my image below of the back
of each product. All of their products are hypo-allergenic, free from harsh ingredients such as ones I
have been guilty of using in the past including benzoyl peroxide ad salicylic acid.

 

CLEANSE - Gentle Foaming Wash!
The first product I want to chat to you about is Real-U's Gentle Foaming Wash. This is the first step
in my new routine which I start with each morning when I wake up. You can really feel the difference
when you use use this product especially afterwards when drying your face. The ph balanced formula
which also contains Aloe Vera keeps your skin at a healthy moisture balance, so it cleanses without
drying whilst still being effective at removing the excess oil, dirt and built up polluteons from the air
which has a tendency to stick deep into the pores making them look black, large and gross! Like with
most cleansers you just add a splash of water to get the cleanser foaming up ready to work onto your
face. Rinse well and pat dry.

CONTROL + Face Gel!
This next step is interesting to me because normally I would use a toner now before moisturising.
So to use a Face Gel (similar to a Serum) was quite cool for a change and might I add very effective!
This Gel is specifically formulated for non teenage skin (that's me!) which still breaks out or is just
persistently naughty! I have used a product like this in the past and I don't know why I ever stopped
because to me, I feel like this product was the most beneficial to my skin when it came to killing my
nasty monthly spots. I especially noticed a big difference first thing in the morning after applying this
at night after a few days. My skin had really calmed down considerably!

HYDRATE - Lite Moisturiser!
I am actually not opposed to a thick, heavy moisturiser especially for a night cream. However this
Lite Moisturiser is perfect is you skin is normally extra greasy or oily and the last thing you want to
do is add even more moisture to it making you feel like a shiny egg. This moisturiser feels so very
light on your skin and it soaked right in that I even considered applying it again on a few occasions to
make sure I was really getting enough! This product is awesome because after applying I can go
straight onto starting my makeup routine without having to wait for my skin to dry and at night I can
go right to bed without feeling like my moisturiser is going to transfer onto my pillow.

Real-U is a thoughtful brand who really just want the 'Real You!' as the name suggests to shine and
have the confidence to be yourself without having acne holding you back from living your fullest life.

This is a topic I think most people male and female can relate to at some point in their lives and it
definitely rings true to me. I highly recommend these products since using them over the past month.
I only wish I'd known about them sooner especially when I was in my awkward teen years and when
I was very shy and my acne was just killing my confidence and making it worse.
