RIMMEL LONDON #INSTA MAKEUP

RIMMEL LONDON

NEW RANGE OF #INSTA MAKEUP!

Well, doesn't it seem like Rimmel have gone above and beyond this year with all of the fab new
products? I feel like I own just about every Rimmel London product out there and I use this brand
more than any other, really I do!

I honestly think they are one of the top drugstore makeup brands and have even dedicated one of my
videos showing you my makeup using just their products alone! Check it out here!

When it comes to doing my makeup, I have yet to get it perfect, but I have learned a lot over the
years and one of the most important lessons I now swear by is to get your base right! This begins
with your general health and skincare regime, but then it begins with a good makeup base. Get
that down pat and you'll be looking #Insta selfie flawless in no time!

Now this here is the kind of powder I have been searching for! I wear makeup almost everyday for
work and most of the time it can sit on my face for up to 10+ hours. My face isn't overly oily, but it
certainly isn't dry in the slightest either. By about the middle of the day my face naturally starts to get
that sheen and oil begins to build up on my t-zone.

This powder is sooo good to take with me on long days at work so I can touch up around mid
afternoon when you can really begin to see the shine coming through my makeup, ew! The snap
lock lid makes it really secure in my handbag and I just pack a little mini powder brush with me to
use with it. Works a treat and apparently you can also use this without makeup to soak up any excess
oil throughout the day. Pretty cool I say!

Rimmel London #Insta Conceal & Contour

These three shades from lightest to darkest are named - Highlight Illuminer, Conceal Corriger and
Contour Sculpter. "Conceal" and "Sculpter" yes, however I don't really see the lightest shade doing
much highlighting or illuminating. It is more of a light bronze/contour shade in my opinion. It doesn't
have any shimmer or glow to it at all and appears quite a few shades darker than my natural skin tone
so for me it's more of a shade to sculpt and define my features more than illuminating them.

The middle shade appears more of a skin toned colour as opposed to the first shade on the left which
has more of a bronze tone to it. This middle shade also seems lighter than the first and is very close to
my own skin colour. I have just been using this as an eyeshadow base which works pretty good
actually as I can't seem to use it for anything else.

The darkest shade is where we get to have some fun! It is a great shade for contouring and sculpting.
It similar to the Benefit Hoola in cream form.

Rimmel London #Insta Conceal & Correct

The three shades from this trio from left to right are called - Dark Circles Cernes, Redness Rougeurs
and Dullness Teint Terne. Honestly, I haven't had a a lot of experience playing with correcting
makeup. I am pretty lucky that my skin has been pretty good to me apart from a bit of acne which
seems to have finally settled down over the past few years.

But what do you do when you have something new to try? You give it a good cracker of a go of
course, why not!?

The first shade is a peachy pink which works to conceal dark under eye circles. I don't really get
darkness under my eyes unless I haven't slept at all but after trying this I did see it did brighten up
that area of my face which is a definite plus!

Isn't it weird how a shade to help with redness on the skin is actually green in colour? However
somehow it just works! I don't suffer any redness on my face, BUT I do get the odd red rash on my
neck for some reason for absolutely NO reason at all. The creamy texture of this makes it really easy
to work into my problem areas and conceals the rash instantly, it's really very discreet!

Something I have learned recently with my skin, is that with ageing comes dullness! Boo! My skin
especially gets dull when I am tired, haven't drunk enough water or when I am stressed. These
everyday issues aren't as easy to hide as they once were. Now I just dab a little bit of the violet
shade here and there on my face, usually just on the recommended areas like the middle of the
forehead, lower cheeks and sides of the chin. I use this under my foundation but over my primer.

Rimmel London #Insta Flawless & #Insta Fix & Go

I have already reviewed the #Insta Flawless Skin Perfecter HERE so if you want to learn more you
can check it out there.

I have been using the #Insta Fix & Go 3-in-1 Mist for quite a new months now and am quite
enjoying the experience. The scent with the cucumber extracts makes it smell extremely refreshing
and it is a light natural scent which is great for something you are spraying onto your face! If you
have tried the Rimmel London mascara with the cucumber extracts they released about a year or so
ago then it has the same scent as that!

The spray bottle distributes the formula quite fast and generously so you'll want to hold it a good arm
length away from you face when you spray it so you don't get too wet and ruin your makeup. Doesn't
seem to matter too much for the priming stage however and if I get too much spray I just massage it
into my skin, let it dry and then go ahead applying my makeup. No dramas. It dries quickly too
which is great when you're on a time crunch in the morning! It does a minimal job at minimising my
pores, but does seem to keep my makeup in place throughout the day. I have not used this in the hot
summer months when I am sure to be sweating so I will be interested to see how it holds my
makeup on those kinds of days!

As always you can purchase these products and more from Rimmel from your local Priceline, Target,
Chemist Warehouse, Big W and Woolworths.

RIMMEL LONDON

RIMMEL LONDON

NEW!
Wake Me Up Foundation & Concealer!

Let's be honest, putting on my makeup each morning is one of the highlights of my busy day. It's a
few minutes each day where it's all about me. I like to take this time to relax and enjoy the process of
pampering, thinking about the day ahead, getting my thoughts together as I wake up. It's really quite
therapeutic for me.

Rimmel London's classic Wake Me Up foundation has recently undergone a makeover and I have
found myself reaching for it over all of my other foundations every single day over the past month
or so that I have just about finished them up!

Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation - Fine shimmer particles visible through the bottle!
(Purrdy!)

I will begin with the foundation which contains Vitamin C, SPF 20 as well as some hella beautiful
radiance pearls mixed inside it! It comes in six shade varieties - (Ivory, True Ivory, Soft Beige,
Classic Beige, True Nude and Natural Beige), an easy to use pump style clear glass bottle and
promises a radiant glow to the skin making it appear more awake and anti-fatigued.

The formula is a good consistency being not too thick now runny. It just sits on the back of my hand
when I pump it out and doesn't drip or begin running down my arm before I can get a makeup brush
onto it! It blends easily and smooth on my skin. It covers my pores, however not my larger ones and
you can still see a little acne scaring after application. So I would say this foundation gives about a
medium coverage. It does look super flattering, natural and dewy though and does an impressive job
at lasting all day! Honestly, this is one of the best foundations I have found in terms of being long
lasting. It stays put amazingly well even on my longer 7am-5pm work days.

Rimmel London Wake Me up Foundation & Concealer Swatched!
(Left - Concealer / Right - Foundation)

The contrast between the swatches of the above foundation and concealer is appearing much more
dramatic than it actually is in real life. My skin is not fair, but still quite light. What you can see in
the image with the shimmer in it is much more it's true to life shade. But anyway, let's get talking
about the new Wake Me Up Concealer!

Available in just three shades - Ivory, Classic Beige and Soft Beige. I would like to see a wider
variety of shades available, however the lightest Ivory shade does get the job done for me.

The consistency is only just slightly thicker than the foundation and conceals any redness, veins,
small blemishes and pores well. It is smooth and blends with ease. I have enjoyed using this duo
together as they seem to compliment each other well with their fatigue concealing and illuminating
glow particles.

You can find Rimmel London's new Wake Me Up Foundation & Concealer and the rest of the
Rimmel range from your local Priceline, Chemist Warehouse, Big W, Coles, Target and

NEW RIMMEL

NEW YEAR
NEW! - RIMMEL LONDON MAKEUP!

Far out, February already? Can you believe it! My daughter started prep this year hence my blog
being a little quiet during January. It has been a busy, emotional and exciting time for us all!

Hang on a tic, February, the month of luuuurve! I just love all the fun lovey dovey products which
jump out at you vying for your attention this time of the year. Even if you're single I personally
would make this time all about myself. Self love and appreciation for all that you are. There are lots
of ways to celebrate love, not just in the boyfriend/girlfriend kinda way.

So stay tuned this month for some fun Valentine's Day themed articles and piccies! Time to get
flat lay love creative, goody goody!

In the meantime if you want some Valentine's Day hair inspiration you can watch a few videos I
made last year HERE and HERE and HERE!

Now let's get onto some fun new Rimmel London products! I cannot wait to see what else this brand
comes up with this year. Last year was amazing in terms of product releases. There were so many
and many the suit all ages and makeup preferences. I really love Rimmel because they are not only
highly desirably priced, their quality of products are also up there. Such great value!

Fresher Skin Foundation - #102 Light Nude
Rimmel London foundations in general are great for everyday wear if you are wanting a light to
medium coverage which doesn't look of feel as if it's caked on. This new release is the same. Light to
medium in coverage, a dewy finish (I assume from th SPF 15) and a fantastic shade selection to
choose from. (x6 in this case).

This foundation comes in a glass tub with screw top lid which you can apply with a foundation
brush, clean fingers or sponge. The formula can look a little oily in there, so I like to give mine a
bit of a mix with my brush before using it.

It does last pretty much all day with just a powder touch up required on these super stinking hot days
we've been having lately. I like how light if feels on my skin and how natural it looks. Kinda like that
naked skin look.

Magnif'Eyes Eye Contouring Palette - Grunge Glamour
I am beginning to hoard quite a little collection of these kinds of eyeshadow palettes without quite
realising it until now. Thinking about it, it really isn't that hard to figure out the reasons why. Just look
at these gorgeous velvety shades! Ahh I cannot get enough of how smooth and easy to wear they are.

If you have seen, used or own the Urban Decay Naked Smoked eyeshadow palette then you can
pretty much see why I call this my smaller dupe version of that. These shades take you safely from
day all the way to midnight with those vampy daring shimmering dark colours toward the right end
of the palette.

The first four shades are much more subtle and make great brow highlights and neutral bases or for
a natural barely there day time makeup look.

These swatches below are shown when applied with a wet brush which really bring out their
pigmentation and drama. I would recommend applying with a good shadow primer or white cream
base to bring out the most of these if applying dry.

What kind of makeup you do find yourself a collector of?

RIMMEL

RIMMEL LONDON

Highlight & Define

Face & Eyes!

Rimmel London Good To Glow Highlighter
#003 SOHO GLOW
Creating that dewy fresh and youthful glow seems to be a makeup trend explosion which has errupted
only over the past few years and boy are companies cashing in! Ok I'll admit, I too have fallen for
this makeup trend. How could you not want to look all shiny, sparkly and just a little bit like a fairy?

Honestly, unless you're walking the runway, posing for an illuminating campaign or re-creating the
highlighting challenge, then at 25ml tube such as this will really go a long long way! For everyday
use, when it comes to highlighting your face, less is definitely more.

This illuminator gives your skin a subtle shimmering glow whilst looking dewy at the same time
without actually being wet or greasy feeling on the skin. The formula actually dries very fast!

The shade is a very light bronze gold and would show up more on tanned or darker skin tones.

Also available in 'Notting Hill Glow'.

Rimmel London Brow This Way Highlighting Pencil
This equaling as pretty little pencil has been something I have been keeping handy in my purse lately
as I have found it to be a surprisingly great little companion to have on me on days when I don't have
time to do my makeup and when the hubby is driving with the kids in the back and I whip it out along
with my favourite gloss and quickly give my key face points some life.

Not only does this work great for the brow bone, it can also be used at the cheek bones sparingly,
cupids bow and the inner corner of the eyes for that wide awake illusion when I am anything but!

The shade is a few times lighter than the Good To Glow liquid illuminator above and can be worked
onto the skin a little more and you can take your time as it doesn't dry or set.

Exclusive to ASOS online you can purchase this Rimmel London Pack which includes this very
good looking Magnif'Eyes shadow palette!! Very excited to see if this becomes available in stores soon! What an absolute bargain for $29! What do you think?

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Reloaded Mascara
When it comes to mascaras, honestly these kind of budget buys which Rimmel London seem to
release quite regularly really are my favourite ones to use daily. I just don't get spending upwards of
$50 on a mascara which is only good to use for a max 3 three months and then you should be
replacing it. Pick up one of these babies for a mere RRP $17.95 from Priceline (often found even
cheaper when their regular sales, deals & offers are on if you keep your eyes pealed) and you can keep the extra cash for spend on more important things, like more makeup! ;)

What I love particularly about this newbie is it's fat brush and ease of use. The formula just coats my
lashes lifting, thickening and lengthening all in just a few coats. I love how this mascara defines my
eyes and makes them look larger. Wearing it along with the highlighting products above and the
new Scandaleyes eyeliners, all of these products just work together so perfectly to create a
beautifully defined eye area which really pops, looks awake and at the end of the day removes
really easily with a few dabs of Micellar Water.

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Thick & Thin Black Liquid Eyeliner
Rimmel has come out with some great liquid eyeliners over the past few years which I have used a lot
recommend and have found to be great staple makeup items. This new one in particular is quite
interesting because you can create both a thick or thin line with it. The end is an unusual shape and
depending on how you tilt it will determine the thickness of your black line.

If you haven't yet tried any of Rimmel London's liquid eyeliners, then I highly recommend you do.
For a small investment of just RRP $12.95 each right now at Priceline, you can pick up one of these
and they will last you at least a few months without drying out so long as you keep the click on cap
securely clicked on when you're not using it!

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Black Precision Micro Liquid Eyeliner
This liquid liner looks almost identical to the Thick & Thin Scandaleyes version however true to it's name, this Micro liner has a super fine, thin tip which if you choose to can achieve the most on
point neat and precise line to your eyes, completely defining them on both the top and bottom.

Depending on your preference, this eyeliner can be a great choice for a simple understated everyday
look. I like this because it gives me the flexibility to be creative with patterns and a super sharp wing!

These and all Rimmel London products can be purchased both online and in store Australia wide at
Priceline, Priceline Pharmacy, Big W, Woolworths, Coles, Target and Chemist Warehouse.

KATE ANNIVERSARY

RIMMEL LONDON

Kate Moss

15th Anniversary Edition Lipstick Collection!

Always the sucker for a good lippie if you're anything like me then you'll love this collection of
classic red and nude shades by Rimmel London by Kate Moss. Each is a similar yet different shade
of pure classic elegance and mature poise. Can you believe Kate has been an iconic face for Rimmel
since 2001? Wow!

The formula is a lovely smooth soft finish with a hint of shine that lasts! Believe me those swatches
(see images below) were not an easy feat to remove!

To break it down as to how these mix of red and nude shades are actually different. Let me give you
my take on each shade. With my personal favourites being 'Rock N Roll Nude' and 'Retro Red'.

Rock N Roll Nude - This is your classy nude shade with pinky undertones.
Retro Red - Your classic deep berry Autumn tone.
My Nude - Another classic nude shade with pinky undertones, but less than Rock N Roll Nude.
Muse Red - A middle toned classic red with orange undertones.
Boho Nude - This is your basic brown mid toned nude shade.
Idol Red - This bold red to me seems borderline orange. It's like a half orange half red mixed.

SWATCHES! - Left to right : Idol Red / Boho Nude / Muse Red / My Nude / Retro Red / Rock N' Roll Nude

SWATCHES! - Top to bottom : Idol Red / Boho Nude / Muse Red / My Nude / Retro Red / Rock N' Roll Nude

PROVOCALIPS

RIMMEL LONDON
PROVOCALIPS

SWATCHES & REVIEW!

Lipsticks have to be one of my biggest weaknesses. I have especially fallen in love with liquid lippies
over the past few years and have quite a few different varieties in my collection of all kinds of shades
and finishes.

This two step collection glide on like buttery silk and together with the moisturising balm attached to
the other end of the doe foot applicator it keeps my lips feeling smooth and soft throughout the whole
day with the colour also lasting the distance.

You gotta love when companies bring out a collection where there is always a shade to suit everyone.
I love these because there is such a great variety of shade suitable for both day and night. Special
event or just slick on before going out to do the shopping!

From deep dark sexy berry and red tones, there is also my signature bright magenta pink as well as
the very 'now' nude shades as well as an understated your lips only better barely there touch of pink.

Available in a total of 8 shades. I currently have these 6. :)

These liquid lipsticks are very affordable as well. You can pick these up currently on sale at Priceline
