RIMMEL

RIMMEL LONDON

Highlight & Define

Face & Eyes!

Rimmel London Good To Glow Highlighter
#003 SOHO GLOW
Creating that dewy fresh and youthful glow seems to be a makeup trend explosion which has errupted
only over the past few years and boy are companies cashing in! Ok I'll admit, I too have fallen for
this makeup trend. How could you not want to look all shiny, sparkly and just a little bit like a fairy?

Honestly, unless you're walking the runway, posing for an illuminating campaign or re-creating the
highlighting challenge, then at 25ml tube such as this will really go a long long way! For everyday
use, when it comes to highlighting your face, less is definitely more.

This illuminator gives your skin a subtle shimmering glow whilst looking dewy at the same time
without actually being wet or greasy feeling on the skin. The formula actually dries very fast!

The shade is a very light bronze gold and would show up more on tanned or darker skin tones.

Also available in 'Notting Hill Glow'.

Rimmel London Brow This Way Highlighting Pencil
This equaling as pretty little pencil has been something I have been keeping handy in my purse lately
as I have found it to be a surprisingly great little companion to have on me on days when I don't have
time to do my makeup and when the hubby is driving with the kids in the back and I whip it out along
with my favourite gloss and quickly give my key face points some life.

Not only does this work great for the brow bone, it can also be used at the cheek bones sparingly,
cupids bow and the inner corner of the eyes for that wide awake illusion when I am anything but!

The shade is a few times lighter than the Good To Glow liquid illuminator above and can be worked
onto the skin a little more and you can take your time as it doesn't dry or set.

Exclusive to ASOS online you can purchase this Rimmel London Pack which includes this very
good looking Magnif'Eyes shadow palette!! Very excited to see if this becomes available in stores soon! What an absolute bargain for $29! What do you think?

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Reloaded Mascara
When it comes to mascaras, honestly these kind of budget buys which Rimmel London seem to
release quite regularly really are my favourite ones to use daily. I just don't get spending upwards of
$50 on a mascara which is only good to use for a max 3 three months and then you should be
replacing it. Pick up one of these babies for a mere RRP $17.95 from Priceline (often found even
cheaper when their regular sales, deals & offers are on if you keep your eyes pealed) and you can keep the extra cash for spend on more important things, like more makeup! ;)

What I love particularly about this newbie is it's fat brush and ease of use. The formula just coats my
lashes lifting, thickening and lengthening all in just a few coats. I love how this mascara defines my
eyes and makes them look larger. Wearing it along with the highlighting products above and the
new Scandaleyes eyeliners, all of these products just work together so perfectly to create a
beautifully defined eye area which really pops, looks awake and at the end of the day removes
really easily with a few dabs of Micellar Water.

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Thick & Thin Black Liquid Eyeliner
Rimmel has come out with some great liquid eyeliners over the past few years which I have used a lot
recommend and have found to be great staple makeup items. This new one in particular is quite
interesting because you can create both a thick or thin line with it. The end is an unusual shape and
depending on how you tilt it will determine the thickness of your black line.

If you haven't yet tried any of Rimmel London's liquid eyeliners, then I highly recommend you do.
For a small investment of just RRP $12.95 each right now at Priceline, you can pick up one of these
and they will last you at least a few months without drying out so long as you keep the click on cap
securely clicked on when you're not using it!

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Black Precision Micro Liquid Eyeliner
This liquid liner looks almost identical to the Thick & Thin Scandaleyes version however true to it's name, this Micro liner has a super fine, thin tip which if you choose to can achieve the most on
point neat and precise line to your eyes, completely defining them on both the top and bottom.

Depending on your preference, this eyeliner can be a great choice for a simple understated everyday
look. I like this because it gives me the flexibility to be creative with patterns and a super sharp wing!

These and all Rimmel London products can be purchased both online and in store Australia wide at
Priceline, Priceline Pharmacy, Big W, Woolworths, Coles, Target and Chemist Warehouse.

RIMMEL LONDON EYES

RIMMEL LONDON
ALL ABOUT THE EYES!

Who doesn't just love new makeup? With so many brands releasing so many new products all of the
time it can become overwhelming and difficult to keep up and decide what the purchase and what to
give a miss.

Luckily there are plenty of bloggers and vloggers like myself all over the world wide web to at least
give you our honest opinions and demos so you can decide for yourself what you think before you
even see them in the shops!

This time around I have four newbies from Rimmel London. One unique mascara and three liquid
eye liners. It's all about the eyes, the windows to the soul today! :)

First up is this Volume Colourist mascara which claims to tint and darken your lashes over time. So
each time you wear it the clever little formulation which sits on your lashes is working it's way into
them making them darker and darker the more you wear it. In a way this is kind of a negative for this
product as if everyone who tries it ends up loving it will no longer need it in the end and will not need
to re-purchase... interesting!

As you can see from my eye images below, my eyelashes as I have mentioned many times before are
nothing to brag about. They aren't all that light in colour, but there aren't really a lot of them and they
are not very long. Boo to my DNA! :( However this mascara does lengthen them a bit, not as much as
some others I have in rotation, but this mascara is all about the volume and tinting!

I'll let you be the judge. Here is my take on it. I can see the formula is quite thick and has in turn
fattened up them up giving them volume. However it appears from this close up that it does clump
a little bit and make my lashes stick to each other rather than separating. This picture was taken
before combing them out, so I feel like they appeared a bit better after doing so.

In terms of tinting my lashes, I have been using this mascara for over a month and I am pretty sure I
can see a slight colour change, however it isn't obvious and I still just prefer the look mascara gives in
general and I think I am just going to keep on wearing them, this one included until it runs dry.

Onto some new favourites! These new Colour Precise liquid eyeliners come in the three shades you
see below. Black, white and blue! I wear black liquid eyeliner all the time as my go-to fav I am
always reaching for it and I am loving this newbie! The colour is deep and intense, but what makes
me the most excited is the super fine tip. Just like a fine tip texta, this design makes it SO easy to
draw a super thin line giving you complete control to then build upon it as thick as you like. The tip
won't stab you and is in no way hard or scratchy. It's actually quite soft yet still firm enough so it isn't
flimsy when you use it.

The bold blue shade is just beautiful and incredibly pigmented! It gives an amazing pop of colour on
more daring days or special occasions. I just love how it draws attention to the eyes and brightens up
and seems to give life to my otherwise sometimes dull looking boring brown eyes.

When it came to using the white, I was a bit lost as to where and how to use it. I mean I have a white
pencil liner which I use every now and again along my bottom lash line for that wide eyed doll effect.
However the liquid formula is a whole other ball game!

After some browsing around the web it seemed to me this would be a great product for makeup
artists to have in their kit for those cut crease and fancy runway looks they so cleverly create. I on
the other hand am no makeup artist, I am very amateur when it comes to makeup artistry no matter
how much knowledge I have about the actual products, which I seem to know a lot about.
(Because I am makeup obsessed, obviously!)

So as you can see below, I ended up using the white along the top of the blue, which actually turned
out looking quite striking in real life. Does it look that way here? It's hard to tell. I like it anyway.
It did not however work on my bottom lash line, like how I usually use my white eye pencil, but
I may just have been doing it wrong.

The black on the right is a sure fire winner. An old classic look which I always go for and never fails
me. Loving these pens! I have been using them for probably about a month and none of them are
showing any signs of drying out yet which is awesome!! In the past I have found this style of liquid
eyeliner to not last very long, so I am very happy thus far. :)

These and all Rimmel London products can be found in Priceline, Coles, Woolies, Big W, Target
and Chemist Warehouse.

MAX FACTOR

~ MAX FACTOR ~

Velvet Volume False Lash Effect Mascara

REVIEW!

I own a few other Max Factor makeup items in my collection and I have always wondered why I
don't hear as much of this brand as some others. I feel like Max Factor deserves a bit more
recognition as their products are amazing!

I have really enjoyed incorporating this mascara into my everyday makeup routine along with others from the brand. Together they work well and I love the end result.

The sleek and posh black & gold tube is very classy and grown up looking as opposed to some other brightly coloured ones on the market. This makes me feel good to use for a change. I like the feeling!

The wand is easy to use and hold in my hand. I can apply steadily and coat every single lash, even those almost invisible ones on the inner corner on both the top & bottom.

My lashes are nothing to brag about so I loved having them given a nice amount of extra length and volume to make me appear more awake, alive and with the illusion of slightly bigger eyes. YAS!! :D (I have always envied Ashley Olsen's doll like beautiful big eyes!) My eyes don't look quite THAT amazing, but using this mascara has definitely helped!

No overpowering scent or anything which I like when it comes to mascaras because then I definitely know when they need to hit the bin as soon as I begin to feel that waft of product creep up my nose!

Overall, this mascara has been great and I have been using it everyday. For night to add a little more drama, I found applying a few extra coats made a bigger difference in making them appear to have that slight 'False Lash Effect'.

I would recommend for both day & night for those who want a more grown up, classy looking mascara that is versatile in giving you a range of looks from office professional to let your hair down party animal depending on how many coats you apply. :)

SUPER CURLER

~  RIMMEL LONDON  ~

Super Curler 24hr
Volume & Curl
Mascara!

Kimmel London 'Super Curl' Volume & Curl Mascara! - $17.95 (Shop!)

We all have our staple makeup items. You know, the ones you absolutely love and always have in
your makeup bag? I have those too of course, however being a beauty blogger/vlogger I am always
trying new and different products which come and go on a regular basis. I do however like to keep
products moving along and rotating through my collection, so each time there is a new season (Hello
Spring!) I completely clean out my makeup bag and replace everything and start fresh for the next 3
months or so!

Since a few weeks ago in early Spring I swapped out my old mascara for this newbie from Rimmel
London. The 'Super Curler' which not only curls your lashes it also boosts up the volume as well.

The wand itself is nothing out of the ordinary. The brush has a slight curve to it which makes for easy,
neat application and there seems to be less product on the bristles upon applying which I actually like
because I feel like I have more control of how much product I am waving on with each stroke rather
than big chunks of mascara going on and then having to work it all through evenly with the brush.

I feel like my lashes naturally have a nice little curl to them, however it is pretty pointless without
mascara as my lashes are fairly short and boring. I was surprised at how much this mascara also
lengthened my lashes! They actually look twice as long! Thank you Super Curl! :)

See my before & after below!

SCANDALEYES XTREME

~   RIMMEL LONDON   ~

SCANDALEYES X-XTREME

MASCARA!

Reliable, affordable and unique. Another Rimmel London mascara from their famous 'Scandaleyes'
collection. This one is their Scandaleyes X-xtreme and has me hooked! With it's cleverly designed
multi use wand, it has my short, understated lashes looking more attention grabbing than ever!

Even though my lashes are naturally quite dark, the blacker and darker the mascara the better to
help enhance the little hairs that I have. This shade is called Extreme Black and is as dark as they
come. Just the way I like it! :)

Back to the hard working, multi tasking wand. If you look closely you can see that there are two
different size lengths on each side with the bristles being shorter and slightly curved on one side
and straight and longer on the other. This is so the shorter curved side can create more volume and
the straight longer side works on lengthening your lashes.

My lashes definitely are longer and thicker after applying this and I like how they have curved
nicely upwards without me having to use my eyelash curler. Time saver, TICK!

The formula is a nice consistency. It is wet without being drippy and I get just the right amount of
product on the wand for each application. I would like my lashes to be slightly seperated a bit more
but that is just me. I have an eyelash comb for that which I am happy to use anyway. No biggie.

This Rimmel London Scandaleyes Xtreme mascara is currently available to purchase in a wide
variety of store around Australia and retails for RRP $16.95 however currently half price at
Priceline!! So you better hurry if you want to grab this bargain! :)

IDOL EYES

~  RIMMEL LONDON  ~

Idol Eyes Kate Moss Mascara!

Review!

My eyelashes have never been one of my best features. They have just sort of just been there.
Un-noticed, although naturally dark they have just never been long, thick or have any sort of curl
to them. Thank you to whoever the beauty god was who invented mascara because without it who
knows where I'd be!?

Every now and again a new mascara comes along which far beats all of my expectations.
I want long, I want thick and I want mascara that will curl my lashes upwards and open up my eyes.

This one does that! See pic below!

Now compare the above photo of my eye to the one below without any make-up.
Obviously there is a huge difference! This mascara just about doubles the length of my lashes and
definitely opens them up to the point where the tips almost touch the arch of my eyebrows!
(Excuse the un-plucked bushiness! It's been a long week!)

As you can see this mascara does not seperate every single eye lash, however if I could locate my
eyelash brush I am sure I could comb those suckers apart. Has anyone tried blow drying their
eyelashes? Aparently that works like magic at giving you perfectly separated, perfect looking lashes.
It is on my to-do list to try it!

BELLABOX DEC

~ BELLABOX ~

December 2014 Box!

Sign up here to get $5 off your first box!

A few months ago I had a voucher to spend on http://www.isubscribe.com.au
and whilst browsing around I stumbled across BellaBox subscriptions so I thought
why not? I'm not a big fan of accumulating countless magazines, I'd rather a surprise
box each month with actual products I can use and enjoy, rather than just reading about them!

So I purchased a 3 month subscription and then waited and waited....and waited!
More than 3 months passed by. (They say to wait up to 8 weeks for your first delivery.)
So I was more than patient in my opinion, and sick of waiting, I figured something wasn't quite
right and I would probably be waiting forever. So I contacted BellaBox to chase it up.

Not 100% sure what went wrong. But it seems to me there must have been a glitch in the
system somewhere along the lines and they either never received my order from iSubscribe
or it just got missed.

Anyhow, a few days later it was all sorted and my first box was finally on the way!
YAY!

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has done a bit of sticky beeking around the social network
and seen a lot of mixed reviews and feelings about this months box as there was a bit of
variety of products which were sent out. I was very fortunate to receive a Kora Organics
product. Other boxes I have seen received the Kora Organics Hydrating Mask. If I'd have had
the luxury to have chosen, I would have picked that as I already have this Kora Organics
Day & Night Cream. However, it is a lovely product, so am also very happy to have a
back up as it is quite pricey.  Some others received a Fuse Gelnamel Starter Kit which I am
glad to have missed as I already have it and have no need for a second one.

It has me wondering what the following 2 boxes will hold as there have been a lot of
people receive boxes containing just sample satchets which is quite disheartening and I feel
bad for those people as I feel that that is quite unfair for the price you pay.

RRP: $ (50ml)
(FULL SIZE)

Evo
Liquid Rollers Curl Balm
RRP: $29.95 (FULL SIZE)

SWATCHES!
I really love these shades and will get a lot of use out of this sampler quad.
I would be interested in purchasing the full sized palette based on these shades so far as they
as quite pigmented and the shimmery ones are so so pretty and I love that it's mixed with some
basic wearable everyday mattes as well.
