RIMMEL LONDON

RIMMEL LONDON

NEW!
Wake Me Up Foundation & Concealer!

Let's be honest, putting on my makeup each morning is one of the highlights of my busy day. It's a
few minutes each day where it's all about me. I like to take this time to relax and enjoy the process of
pampering, thinking about the day ahead, getting my thoughts together as I wake up. It's really quite
therapeutic for me.

Rimmel London's classic Wake Me Up foundation has recently undergone a makeover and I have
found myself reaching for it over all of my other foundations every single day over the past month
or so that I have just about finished them up!

Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation - Fine shimmer particles visible through the bottle!
(Purrdy!)

I will begin with the foundation which contains Vitamin C, SPF 20 as well as some hella beautiful
radiance pearls mixed inside it! It comes in six shade varieties - (Ivory, True Ivory, Soft Beige,
Classic Beige, True Nude and Natural Beige), an easy to use pump style clear glass bottle and
promises a radiant glow to the skin making it appear more awake and anti-fatigued.

The formula is a good consistency being not too thick now runny. It just sits on the back of my hand
when I pump it out and doesn't drip or begin running down my arm before I can get a makeup brush
onto it! It blends easily and smooth on my skin. It covers my pores, however not my larger ones and
you can still see a little acne scaring after application. So I would say this foundation gives about a
medium coverage. It does look super flattering, natural and dewy though and does an impressive job
at lasting all day! Honestly, this is one of the best foundations I have found in terms of being long
lasting. It stays put amazingly well even on my longer 7am-5pm work days.

Rimmel London Wake Me up Foundation & Concealer Swatched!
(Left - Concealer / Right - Foundation)

The contrast between the swatches of the above foundation and concealer is appearing much more
dramatic than it actually is in real life. My skin is not fair, but still quite light. What you can see in
the image with the shimmer in it is much more it's true to life shade. But anyway, let's get talking
about the new Wake Me Up Concealer!

Available in just three shades - Ivory, Classic Beige and Soft Beige. I would like to see a wider
variety of shades available, however the lightest Ivory shade does get the job done for me.

The consistency is only just slightly thicker than the foundation and conceals any redness, veins,
small blemishes and pores well. It is smooth and blends with ease. I have enjoyed using this duo
together as they seem to compliment each other well with their fatigue concealing and illuminating
glow particles.

FUSE GELNAMEL

~ FUSE GELNAMEL ~

Sensationail Starter Kit

Review!

When it comes to DIY manis and pedis at home, I am always stuck for the time it takes for my
polish to dry. Most polishes, no matter how pretty, just take way too long to dry and always end
up getting completely ruined even before I get the chance to leave the house and enjoy them for
just one day!

I have heard so much hype around Gel manis this year and how amazing and long last they are,
that I knew, I just knew I had to try it out because it seems to be the perfect solution to all of my
nail nightmares! Taking only 30 short seconds to completely dry? How could I not love this?!

This Fuse kit seems like a great place to start. It comes with everything I could possibly need
to begin painting...

Fuse Gelnamel Polish in 'Na-No Way!'
Fuse Cleanser
 LED Lamp
Lint Free Wipes
Double Sided Nail Buffer
Manicure Stick
Easy To Follow Instruction Booklet

RRP: $49.99

What I find mind blowing about this whole kit, is the fact that no base nor top coat is needed!
The Gelnamel is an all in one formula that requires just one coat which in turn gives you a
perfectly polished, shiny, strong as 'nails' pop of colour finish! I can't believe how easy and
effective the whole kit is! Definitely worth what seems to be quite a hefty price tag for you
DIY mani/pedi. However think of it like this - It's salon quality at home. It's longer lasting!
The kit contains more than just your regular run of the mill nail polish as this contains your
base & top coat plus polish colour all in one! And most importantly to me, the dry time saves
you a bad mood for the rest of the day because you haven't ruined all your hard work waiting
around for it to dry! Nobody has time for that! Especially not me!

Apart from the fact that I can't paint my nails neatly to save myself, that aside,
you can't deny the vibrant colour and incredible shine this polish portrays.
I already know this polish is going to last because I've already tried to pick and
scratch at it, just to see if it passes the 'CandyFairy Blogs Test!'
So far so good!

Other incredibly gorgeous Fuse Gelnamel nail shades include -
E-Motion (Purple), Such A Laser (Gold Shimmer), Lightening Jolt (Magenta + Glitter),
Gone Fission ( Baby Pink + Glitter).

RRP: $14.99each

MOISTURISERS

~ Moisturisers ~

I have a problem...!!!

So if you've been regularly reading my blog from the beginning you know that
I am trying to de-clutter my home. We have two little ones to make space for in
our little rented unit. So today was another look into my beauty cupboard to
see what I could either use up, toss, sell or giveaway.

This is when it dawned on me... I have more moisturisers, body lotions, shimmers
& creams than I'll probably ever use! O_o

I'll admit, I knew I had quite a few and I swear I've been really good at lathering up

ILLUMINATOR

~ Face Of Australia ~

Mineral Therapy
Illuminator
in
Angel Flame!

Who doesn't just love illuminators!?
They have got to be one of the prettiest makeup products out there!
This one is no exception.

First of all I think the name of this particular
shade, 'Angel Flame' fits it perfectly. If close my eyes and imagine what an
Angel's flame might look like, this would be the colour. A beautiful almost
rose gold, shimmery formulation that adds the perfect highlighting
effect to your cheekbones.

Personally I think illuminators if applied
carefully and sparingly can be used as a bit of an all rounder.
This is especially handy if this is all you happen to have on you in an
emergency. Let me explain...

Most of us know that certain lip sticks and perhaps a certain type of gloss
or balm does a great job at being versatile in that we can get away with using
them for not only our lips, but as a blush or on our cheeks or cheekbones too.
So why not use an Illuminator on our eyes, waterline and lips?

Bare with me when I make this suggestion, I mean use it like you would
normally. Illuminators go a long, long way! You only need the tiniest bit of
product to get the job done, or you risk looking like a full on decked out
Christmas tree!

Let me know if you try it, I would love to hear about your experiences!

Do you use certain products for more than they're designed for?

Love Candy!

MAYBELLINE

~Maybelline ~

24hr

____________________________________________________________

I don't have any real tattoos, personally I think they really suit and
look awesome on some people, but they just aren't for me.

However, this sort of tattoo, the makeup kind, I am more than happy to
play with and explore! Being able to create different styles, looks & effects
that I can simply wash off if I stuff it up or tire of it, at the end of the day
makes me much more comfortable with exploring brave colours!

Today I share with you two bold, vibrant shades from my collection.

Pomegranate Punk
I would describe this shade as maroon with tiny shimmer throughout.
Much the same formula to the NYX eyeshadow base in Pearl which I love
and use almost everyday! I am not shy when it comes to shimmer and being a
bit bold with makeup. I love to experiment with colours and textures!
What I love about these Color Tattoos is that they are buildable.
You don't necessarily have to wear them as boldly as they appear in their pots!
You can use them as a base to really make your powder shadow pop,
or wear them in their own right, allowing them to shine!

Fierce & Tangy
This colour is much more daring but works surprisingly well when
applied sparingly and blended with slightly darker and warmer shades.
I like to use this mostly as a base in the inner half of my lid which opens and
brightens up the eye area. Then completing the look with say the Pomegranate
Punk as the base for the outer half of the lid with a slightly lighter,
(or darker depending on the time of day and occasion!) similar shade
over the top and then blending the two together. I love these shades because they
work nicely together, perfect for all seasons but especially for Autumn/Fall.

What shades do you recommend work well blended together?
