RIMMEL LONDON EYES

RIMMEL LONDON
ALL ABOUT THE EYES!

Who doesn't just love new makeup? With so many brands releasing so many new products all of the
time it can become overwhelming and difficult to keep up and decide what the purchase and what to
give a miss.

Luckily there are plenty of bloggers and vloggers like myself all over the world wide web to at least
give you our honest opinions and demos so you can decide for yourself what you think before you
even see them in the shops!

This time around I have four newbies from Rimmel London. One unique mascara and three liquid
eye liners. It's all about the eyes, the windows to the soul today! :)

First up is this Volume Colourist mascara which claims to tint and darken your lashes over time. So
each time you wear it the clever little formulation which sits on your lashes is working it's way into
them making them darker and darker the more you wear it. In a way this is kind of a negative for this
product as if everyone who tries it ends up loving it will no longer need it in the end and will not need
to re-purchase... interesting!

As you can see from my eye images below, my eyelashes as I have mentioned many times before are
nothing to brag about. They aren't all that light in colour, but there aren't really a lot of them and they
are not very long. Boo to my DNA! :( However this mascara does lengthen them a bit, not as much as
some others I have in rotation, but this mascara is all about the volume and tinting!

I'll let you be the judge. Here is my take on it. I can see the formula is quite thick and has in turn
fattened up them up giving them volume. However it appears from this close up that it does clump
a little bit and make my lashes stick to each other rather than separating. This picture was taken
before combing them out, so I feel like they appeared a bit better after doing so.

In terms of tinting my lashes, I have been using this mascara for over a month and I am pretty sure I
can see a slight colour change, however it isn't obvious and I still just prefer the look mascara gives in
general and I think I am just going to keep on wearing them, this one included until it runs dry.

Onto some new favourites! These new Colour Precise liquid eyeliners come in the three shades you
see below. Black, white and blue! I wear black liquid eyeliner all the time as my go-to fav I am
always reaching for it and I am loving this newbie! The colour is deep and intense, but what makes
me the most excited is the super fine tip. Just like a fine tip texta, this design makes it SO easy to
draw a super thin line giving you complete control to then build upon it as thick as you like. The tip
won't stab you and is in no way hard or scratchy. It's actually quite soft yet still firm enough so it isn't
flimsy when you use it.

The bold blue shade is just beautiful and incredibly pigmented! It gives an amazing pop of colour on
more daring days or special occasions. I just love how it draws attention to the eyes and brightens up
and seems to give life to my otherwise sometimes dull looking boring brown eyes.

When it came to using the white, I was a bit lost as to where and how to use it. I mean I have a white
pencil liner which I use every now and again along my bottom lash line for that wide eyed doll effect.
However the liquid formula is a whole other ball game!

After some browsing around the web it seemed to me this would be a great product for makeup
artists to have in their kit for those cut crease and fancy runway looks they so cleverly create. I on
the other hand am no makeup artist, I am very amateur when it comes to makeup artistry no matter
how much knowledge I have about the actual products, which I seem to know a lot about.
(Because I am makeup obsessed, obviously!)

So as you can see below, I ended up using the white along the top of the blue, which actually turned
out looking quite striking in real life. Does it look that way here? It's hard to tell. I like it anyway.
It did not however work on my bottom lash line, like how I usually use my white eye pencil, but
I may just have been doing it wrong.

The black on the right is a sure fire winner. An old classic look which I always go for and never fails
me. Loving these pens! I have been using them for probably about a month and none of them are
showing any signs of drying out yet which is awesome!! In the past I have found this style of liquid
eyeliner to not last very long, so I am very happy thus far. :)

These and all Rimmel London products can be found in Priceline, Coles, Woolies, Big W, Target

SUPER CURLER

~  RIMMEL LONDON  ~

Super Curler 24hr
Volume & Curl
Mascara!

Kimmel London 'Super Curl' Volume & Curl Mascara! - $17.95 (Shop!)

We all have our staple makeup items. You know, the ones you absolutely love and always have in
your makeup bag? I have those too of course, however being a beauty blogger/vlogger I am always
trying new and different products which come and go on a regular basis. I do however like to keep
products moving along and rotating through my collection, so each time there is a new season (Hello
Spring!) I completely clean out my makeup bag and replace everything and start fresh for the next 3
months or so!

Since a few weeks ago in early Spring I swapped out my old mascara for this newbie from Rimmel
London. The 'Super Curler' which not only curls your lashes it also boosts up the volume as well.

The wand itself is nothing out of the ordinary. The brush has a slight curve to it which makes for easy,
neat application and there seems to be less product on the bristles upon applying which I actually like
because I feel like I have more control of how much product I am waving on with each stroke rather
than big chunks of mascara going on and then having to work it all through evenly with the brush.

I feel like my lashes naturally have a nice little curl to them, however it is pretty pointless without
mascara as my lashes are fairly short and boring. I was surprised at how much this mascara also
lengthened my lashes! They actually look twice as long! Thank you Super Curl! :)

See my before & after below!

SCANDALEYES XTREME

~   RIMMEL LONDON   ~

SCANDALEYES X-XTREME

MASCARA!

Reliable, affordable and unique. Another Rimmel London mascara from their famous 'Scandaleyes'
collection. This one is their Scandaleyes X-xtreme and has me hooked! With it's cleverly designed
multi use wand, it has my short, understated lashes looking more attention grabbing than ever!

Even though my lashes are naturally quite dark, the blacker and darker the mascara the better to
help enhance the little hairs that I have. This shade is called Extreme Black and is as dark as they
come. Just the way I like it! :)

Back to the hard working, multi tasking wand. If you look closely you can see that there are two
different size lengths on each side with the bristles being shorter and slightly curved on one side
and straight and longer on the other. This is so the shorter curved side can create more volume and
the straight longer side works on lengthening your lashes.

My lashes definitely are longer and thicker after applying this and I like how they have curved
nicely upwards without me having to use my eyelash curler. Time saver, TICK!

The formula is a nice consistency. It is wet without being drippy and I get just the right amount of
product on the wand for each application. I would like my lashes to be slightly seperated a bit more
but that is just me. I have an eyelash comb for that which I am happy to use anyway. No biggie.

This Rimmel London Scandaleyes Xtreme mascara is currently available to purchase in a wide
variety of store around Australia and retails for RRP $16.95 however currently half price at
Priceline!! So you better hurry if you want to grab this bargain! :)

IDOL EYES

~  RIMMEL LONDON  ~

Idol Eyes Kate Moss Mascara!

Review!

My eyelashes have never been one of my best features. They have just sort of just been there.
Un-noticed, although naturally dark they have just never been long, thick or have any sort of curl
to them. Thank you to whoever the beauty god was who invented mascara because without it who
knows where I'd be!?

Every now and again a new mascara comes along which far beats all of my expectations.
I want long, I want thick and I want mascara that will curl my lashes upwards and open up my eyes.

This one does that! See pic below!

Now compare the above photo of my eye to the one below without any make-up.
Obviously there is a huge difference! This mascara just about doubles the length of my lashes and
definitely opens them up to the point where the tips almost touch the arch of my eyebrows!
(Excuse the un-plucked bushiness! It's been a long week!)

As you can see this mascara does not seperate every single eye lash, however if I could locate my
eyelash brush I am sure I could comb those suckers apart. Has anyone tried blow drying their
eyelashes? Aparently that works like magic at giving you perfectly separated, perfect looking lashes.
It is on my to-do list to try it!

GRWM

GET READY WITH ME!

Pop Of Colour!

I can't help but keep the love theme going with this Pop Of Colour make-up look as pink lips
are just my thing. Always my go to shade no matter what day, season or occasion it is! I am
just drawn to it. So recently when I received this shade in my BellaBox from Laqa & Co I was
thrilled and couldn't wait to play! I lined my lips first with one of my favourite lip liners from
ChiChi called Bimbo. A gorgeous hot pink which helped the Laqa & Co Menatour shade stay
firmly in place and really pop!

Because I felt like playing with a bit of colour, I pulled out my coloured ChiChi eye liners
which I hadn't used in quite a while. I applied both Disco Graffiti and Disco Royalty to my
top lash line over the top of my Maybelline Master Precise black liquid liner which actually looked
alright, however it doesn't seem to show up very well in photos. I don't normally apply liner to my
bottom lashes for day to day wear, however I applied both ChiChi colours and I am really happy
with the result. :) The shadows look quite natural and show up a little more understated in photos,
however the Maybelline ExpertWear eyeshadows I am wearing are actually my favourite right
now and I have been wearing this particular quad the most. If you're interested, you can watch
my make-up tutorial using four of the quads from the range here. :)

Of course (and I always say this) my make-up is nothing without a decent base.
To get this even, smooth finish I was a bit lazy and skipped on primer for no reason in particular.
I jumped right in a applied my Maybelline Better Skin Foundation with my Beauty Blender and
then went in under my eyes with the matching Maybelline Better Skin Concealer to conceal my
tired, sleep deprived eyes. Oh! And how can I forget my brows. I recently ran out of my Avon
brow pencil and have been switching between my Maybelline Brow Mascara and the one I've
used here which is actually an eye pencil by L'Oreal but both the formul and shade work
perfectly on my brows. It keeps them in place and looking groomed but still natural.

To complete my overall look, I have framed my face with my hair using my current obsession.
The VS Sasoon Evoke straightener which is this gorgeous pink which matches my lips to a tee!
The L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil does my hair so much good by calming down my fly aways,
frizz and makes my hair feel silky smooth and soft. Bottle of pure gold this stuff!

NEW YEAR FACE RECOVERY

HOW TO:

RECOVER & PAMPER

YOUR FACE

AFTER

NEW YEARS

C  E  L  E  B  R  A  T  I  O  N  S  !

Welcome to 2015 everybody!

Another year has no doubt smacked you in the face weather your woke up
not remembering the night before or sprung out of bed like a new spring chicken ready to put
those new years resolutions into play. 2015 is here and weather or not you partied hard all through
the night or were tucked up in bed before 9pm. Chances are you stayed up (or at least tried to!)
to watch the clock strike midnight and see some fireworks live or on the telly!

In saying that, your skin may be looking and feeling a little on the tired side, so why not start
the new year looking like your young self again with the help of some natural, kind and pampering
beauty products!

Let me introduce you to some of my favourite face soothers from Puretopia!

Puretopia
Skin Radiance
Moisturising & Soothing
Gel Mask
RRP: $14.95 (125ml)

Nothing refreshes, detoxifies and deeply cleanses my skin better than a good old fashioned facial
mask! The packet ones you can purchase (and there are millions of different types!) are all well
and good and I have had some great results with them. However to have a nice generous sized
125ml tube of one that works a treat, is so much more convenient and less hassle!

As a mum I am pretty time poor in the 'me time' department so I usually multi task my facial mask
time. For example. I will apply my mask and let it sit whilst I am bathing the kids or after they have
gone to bed whilst I am cleaning up the cyclonic hit lounge room from the busy day just gone.

The results I have received from using this mask over the past few months have been really worth it!
It contains tangerine flower and smells gorgeous, but most of all it leaves my skin feeling renewed
and looking youthful again! By the end of most days I often am left feeling like an 80 year old
woman. Tired, hagged and a little worse for wear I'm afraid. Such are the joys of parenthood.
Completely exhausting, but at the same time completely worth every waking moment!

Contains Vitamin C, Pro Vitamin B5 & Australian Manuka Honey to name a few!

Puretopia
Massaging Roller
RRP: $19.95 (15ml)

If you've ever used any type of eye roller before, then you know how amazing they feel on your skin,
especially first thing in the morning when you wake up to completely soothe and cool tired eyes.
I especially love to keep mine in the fridge throughout Summer when it's really hot as the roller
ball when chilled feels even more amazing, you should totally try it! :)

Being a super busy mum with 2 little toddlers running around, I often get limited sleep time that
is 99% of the time interrupted for some reason or another, so I always end up with either small bags,
dark circles or both under my eyes. This massaging roller really is my 'Eye Rescue!'

I just apply whenever I feel like I need it and it is my little treat for a few seconds here and there
throughout the day!

It is the perfect purse and travelling size to be readily available for you to use no matter where
the new year may be taking you!

Contains Vitamin C, Cornfowers, Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Purified Water to name just a few!

100% Sulfate & Paraben Free, Puretopia is completely Australian made and owned and is
against animal testing!

What have been your face savers over the New Year period?
