MICHAEL HILL

MICHAEL HILL

JEWELLERY

Gift Guide & Product Review!

Who doesn't just love and adore a little bit of bling? Even when it comes down to just your every day
outfit to then dressing it up for glam night out. For me at least a little bit of sparkle goes a long way to
complete and perfect an outfit.

I have always been a silver girl at heart. Growing up a lot of my friends and family seemed to be all
about the gold, however the few pieces I did own and treasure were all silver. Over the years I have
been more adventurous and tried all kinds of colours, textures, stones and materials when it came to
my jewellery fashion choices. At the end of the day I always go back to the simplistic style and subtle
elegance of classic pieces and silver metals and sparkly clear stones.

Stud Earrings w/Cubic Zirconia in Sterling Silver - $239.00
I have three holes pierced in each ear. I was actually inspired way back in the late 90's by Britney
Spears stunning array of stunning silver jewels cascading up her earlobe from her 'Sometimes' music
video clip. I think she may have had about eight or so and she looked so beautiful and innocent. I
love that kind of girl next door, timeless class which is why I was so drawn to these gorgeous
beauties of cubic zirconia claw set in sterling silver.

Surrounded by sixteen smaller stones these large gems are uniquely designed with such a pretty
swirly pattern circling around the outer side giving them a subtle femininity about them which I
really love.

Pendant w/Cubic Zirconia in Sterling Silver - $139.00
This gorgeous piece is my complete style all over. The super fine silver chain is light and fuss free
leaving all of the attention to the beautiful sterling silver pendant with one main cubic zirconia
in the centre surrounded by a further twenty four smaller ones around the edge.

I love how simple and classy this necklace is that I can wear with just about any outfit without
having to think about weather it is going to match, because it suits all colours and styles. Everyday and night occasions.

The great thing about this piece is you don't have to worry about it fitting you as Michael Hill let's
you between lengths of 40cm, 45cm, 50cm, 55cm or 60cm.

With Christmas looming and being just thirteen sleeps away this is sure to make the perfect gift!

HAIR TATTOOS

~ SCUNCI ~
HAIR & BODY TATTOOS

Forever the fashionista that is me. Always intrigued and interested by passing trends which come and
go as quickly as the seasons and then somehow seems to make their way right back around again. I
am always up for something new and different when it comes to the big flamboyant brave and
fearless world that is the fashion industry.

Body tattoos are a trend which I feel like has come and gone between being cool and then not so
much throughout my whole life. They have been around for a long time. However only recently have
I come to know body tattoos as being something so much prettier than just your average bubble gum
freebie or tacky show bag insert. Now-a-days body tatts have become much more beautiful looking
and now even transitioned from skin onto hair and I am loving this new boho coachella inspired trend!

Watch my HOW-TO apply & inspired fashion video below!
Thumbs up, comments & subscribers are most welcomed!'
Thank you! xo

This particular set from Scunci comes with two sheets. One silver and one gold, both with a range
of different designs on each of them. All are very pretty! From butterflies, leaves, chevron patterns
and flowers. There is something to suit all tastes and styles.

To apply, you simply use the same process as you would when applying a regular body tattoo. Peel
off the clear top sheet, place the tattoo still on the paper onto clean, dry skin. Next use a damp wet
towel or sponge and press firmly down on the skin for about 20-30 seconds. Gently peel away the
paper to reveal the temporary tattoo stuck neatly onto your hair! Pretty amazing and so easy and it
adds something different to your average everyday hair styles. So now I bet you're wondering how on
earth you get them out of your hair? Well that was my first question too! No need to freak out though.
These tatts will just wash out when you wash your hair. Phew! :)

My personal favourites were the ones pictured below. From the gold sheet, I couldn't go past these
gorgeous tribal patterned tear drops and from the silver I mixed three of these cute little flowers and a
line of dots on each side of my neck where a necklace would naturally sit so it looks like one! This
one is actually my most favourite! I love that you can mix and match them together to create different
patterns, looks and vibes. From girlie, boho, tribal to edgy and a bit more cool looking.

You can pick up this 2 pack of Scunci Hair & Body tattoos from Priceline, Big W, Coles, Target &
Toys R Us here in Australia for just $9.95!

SPRING OOTD

Going a bit glam on a beautiful Spring day, for no reason at all, except that I like to dress up
and dressing up is fun! :)

My sparkly silver sequin 'top' is actually a dress which was purchased years and years ago
and has barely been worn. Over the past year or so I've found myself pulling it out of my
wardrobe more and more and love it more now than I ever did when I bought it.
I think it looks so much nicer as a top!

As I have been going through and clearing out my closet lately I have been looking at each
item and if I see a stain or something not worth repairing then it goes straight to the bin.
Then I have also been looking at such items like a dress that could become a top or a dress
that might make a great skirt! With the weather warming up I've even made three pairs of
'not cool anymore' jeans into some cute looking jean shorts!

Top/Dress from Jeans West (No longer available think it was around $30)
White Eyelet Skirt from Coles Mix Apparel $29.00 (Current Season Stock)
Pisces in Silver Novo Shoes $79.95 (Currently only available in Black)

What's your Spring style of choice?

DINING ROOM UPDATE

~ DINING ROOM ~

UPDATED

Hauled from IKEA!

Like a breath of fresh air, I instantly feel both energised and calm
at the same time when something in my home is updated.
It makes me so happy to be rid of my old, outdated and totally just not me
decor and in with a brand new style that lifts my mood whenever I see it.

This is the Glivarp table and Henriksdal chairs with washable covers (perfect with grubby
young kids around!) match perfectly with the rest of my updated decor.
The chair covers are an exact match to our new couch so that was a lucky
find and I am beyond stoked about that!

As you can see we only have 3 chairs which looks a bit odd.
Unfortunately there were only 3 left in stock so we have to go back
sometime in the coming weeks to pick up the fourth chair.

The table has a clear top which extends and will eventually match the coffee
table I have my eye on which is basically identical, only coffee table size! :)
The chrome/mirrored frame tie in with the bedsides and vanity in our
bedroom and the Morum rug just makes it all look a bit more cozy and elegant,
instead of just having the white tiles completely exposed underneath
and around the dining area.

My vase (purchased from Target) is not new, but I think it looks perfect in the space.
The placemat it sits on I purchased in a previous haul.
I'd like to add some nice placemats for each setting and perhaps a table runner
to help keep the table from getting scratches etc.
But for now I am in love and very happy!

Flowers courtesy of my beautiful husband who has been so kind
spoiling me lately as we've all been quite sick lately.
(Hence why I am a bit behind in my posts, so sorry!)

GLITTER NAILS

~ Nails Of The Day! ~

Turquoise & Silver

(Pinterest Inspired)

It's the easiest thing to completely loose all sense of time whilst browsing
on Pinterest! There is so much to see and be inspired by.
If you're ever stuck for blog post ideas, beauty, fashion and decor
updates, this is the place to go! I have often reluctantly dragged myself
away often feeling overwhelmed with new ideas that I often don't know
where to begin! Every time though, without a doubt, I am completely
motivated! I can't get enough of it!

(Cheeky sneak peek at a new decor item purchased over the weekend... who wants to see more?
I might do a haul/updated living room post?)

Recently I have been seeing a lot of beautiful fashion and makeup looks
featuring loads of glitter. It must be a big trend at the moment because it is
everywhere! Suits me fine, I have always been glitter obsessed.
There is no denying it's pure beauty.

To create this nail bling is actually much easier than you might think.
The only actual nail polish I used was a clear top coat!
The rest is just loose glitter purchased from a craft shop.

The clear polish acts like glue, sticking the loose glitter to you nail.
Finish with the clear polish over the top to secure the glitter helping it
stay in place and last longer as you would do with any other regular mani.

Done!

It's as simple as that!
I saw a really beautiful hair style using glitter too which I am keep
to recreate. Let me know if you'd like to see that!? :)
