click here! After prepping my skin with the Jergens Color Primer, I cannot express to you enough
just how smooth this gradual tanning moisturiser just glides directly onto the skin!

The formula appears surprisingly quite light in colour considering it is a darker gradual tanner.
However it somehow works it's magic and over about a week I noticed my skin appearing a lovely
shade of summer glow. Looking warm and even all over. I have been really impressed with the
results and the gorgeous smell which is nothing at all like your regular 'fake tan' smell!

Jergens Natural Glow Tan Extender
Here's a product I find most interesting! Mostly because I have never heard nor have I ever used a
Tan Extender before! This product works to help prolong the life of not only your fake tan but also
any natural tanning you may have already from the sun.

I like to apply this product in the morning before getting dressed for the day and then apply the
Jergens Daily Moisturiser at night. I have been doing this daily for more than a month now and
it seems to be a working combo whilst using the Color Primer once a week in between to keep my
tan fresh and even.

This Tan Extender feels very light and soft on the skin. It soaks in quite fast and doesn't leave any
greasy residue. There is only a very light scent about it and it seems to be keeping my tan from
fading too fast.

My DIY Self Tanning Routine!

Transitioning From Summer Through Winter!

Self tanning can be a tricky thing. A skill many of us let a professional take control of

for us. There are so many things that can go wrong. Too light, too dark, too orange, streaky,

un-even, leaving marks all over your car seats, coach, bed sheets, etc and that off putting fake

tan smell. The whole point of a fake tan, is to get that golden looking glow without risking your

health by going the natural or solarium route. At the end of the day, we all want our tan to look

natural and flawless.

However, DIY-ing isn't as hard or scary as it sounds. It's just like experimenting with makeup

and figuring out what works, what doesn't and making mistakes and learning from them.

Using good quality products definitiely helps, and with the right tools and techniques you can

have north coast, holiday, 'I've just spend my whole life at the beach' looking skin in no time

and for a fraction of the salon price!

It's really easy once you get the hang of it and once it becomes routine you will wonder why you

ever got almost naked for a complete stranger in an awkward paper G-string in the first place!

Below I will share with you the products currently in my self tanning routine I am using

to get flawless, glowing, tanned skin year round with some hints and tips along the way!

My current self tanner of choice is this one by Paula's Choice, for a number of reasons.
The main reason is because it is buildable and creates the most natural results!
Just one application gives you a subtle glow. Apply 5-10 and your a super bronzed,
sun kissed looking goddess! Not dodgy tanning smell as it is scent free.
No messy tanning stains all over my bathroom as the formula simply pumps out into my
hand light as a feather for controlled application.

keep it a secret by using Andrea's Gentle Hair Remover depilatory cream. It comes complete with an
easy to use small, white plastic spatula to make application precise and clean. Simply apply
generously to your unwanted hair and dampen the skin. Leave to sit for approx 5 to 8 minutes max.
Gently wipe cream and hair away for a warm damp cotton ball, wipe or facial washer and
then apply the Skin Smoothing Creme immediately afterwards to soothe and moisturise the area.

I have personally found this works perfectly on my upper lip and stray eyebrow hairs that grow

of unwanted body hair, even if it is course then this is your saviour! Specially formulated to remove
even the most stubborn of hairs with ease, this cream is so amazingly good!

I love how easy it is to just smooth the product over the hairs and all you need to do is
just sit back, have a cuppa and wait 3 to 5 (15 minutes max!) minutes and wa-la!
You are totally hair free! Too easy!

The Skin Smoothing Creme also comes in handy to help restore the pH balance to the skin in the
area where the hair has been removed and also moisturises and soothes. It feels great!

There is barely any smell to these products. No hot or cold sticky mess and absolutely no pain!
I am loving this alternative to waxing during the Summer time, and for the bargain price, this is
much cheaper than most waxing products and definitely many coins cheaper then baring
all to a complete stranger in a beauty salon!

I maintain the natural colour of my hair by running a permanent dye through it every few months
to help fight the ever so persistent greys that keep on popping up, creating way too many bad hair
days! So to be able to use this product which is designed to help with the damage that can be caused
from colouring and styling your hair is perfect for me! It contains wheat starch and proteins which
strengthen the hair whilst making it all nice and silky and shiny! Then the array of flower and
seed oils such as sunflower, lime and grapefruit give it it's incredible scent, moisture and colour
protection.

Use as you would any normal conditioner working it through the bottom half of your hair
and then thoroughly rinsing it out or you can leave it in for as long as 15 minutes to really
let the ingredients soak into your hair and drink them up, maximising the overall result this
range of products gives to your hair.

Bronzing Mousse

My little 50ml travel size can is perfect for someone like me who doesn't tan year round,
but likes to give it a go every now and again, especially if I'm going out somewhere like the
pool or the beach and don't want to look too much like I live in an igloo!

This Bronzing Mousse comes complete with a pump nozzle which dispenses out around about
a fifty cent size amount of dark brown foam onto your skin. It is recommended to apply this with
a tanning mitt, which I do have, but was too lazy to find, so on this occasion I just used my hands
and well, let's just say now I know why you should wear a tanning mitt because this stuff likes to
turn your hands a toasty shade of black!

Not that I particularly care. I just gave my hands a good wash and scrub and now my hands
are almost back to their original pasty white colour. Besides that, when it comes to the application
and overall finished effect this tanning mousse gives, I rate it rather high! I just rubbed it into my
skin in the recommended circular motion and it blended right in and after a few coats gave me a
gorgeous looking, natural bronze glow as shown in the pic below. :)

Body Polish

RRP: $19.95 (200ml)
My smooth, even, streak free glow wouldn't have been quite as perfect looking if it weren't for
my trusty new Summer companion! The St.Tropez Body Polish preps your skin for tanning
by gently exfoliating the skin with tiny little white circular beads which do not scratch your
skin resulting in a nice, even, fresh surface for the tan to stick to so it appears nice and smooth.

In addition this also helps to maintain and prolong your tan by evenly scrubbing it off your
skin every few days. So if you're wanting to build up your tan gradually over a few days or weeks
you can still do that and still have a nice, even surface to apply to each time by using this 24
hours before each tan application. You can even use this on your face to scrub away any dead
skin cells if you like to also tan your face. Just mix a little into a gentle cleanser and use together!

Tip!
Don't forget to moisturise afterwards! This will keep your tan looking fresh and flawless!
Concentrate a little more on the dryer areas of your skin. Knees, elbows, hands and feet
are popular areas for concern. For me, its my back where I tend to get the most dead skin
build up as it's the hardest place to reach when scrubbing!

Is slightly fragranced with a light perfumed scent.

If you know me then you know that Forever New is like my most favourite fashion store, ever!
I can't just walk past it, I have to go in and do some damage. Their range of fashion, accessories,
footwear and jewellery scream my name and the quality is second to none. Their prices are a little
above average, so I prefer to shop their sales because that way you save yourself a bucket load!
Usually half the full RRP price!

So here is what I picked up recently both in store and online.

inside, well I just couldn't resist the classy pair with matching gold hardware!

I think this would work casually with denim shorts, skirts or even jeans on cooler nights.

Razor Review!

I have never used a razor designed this way before. It is very unique and different.
It is a fun new way in which I have really enjoyed the benefits of.

First of all the scent of the coconut milk and almond oil combined is really the
kind of I scent I am drawn to. It doesn't have any of that up your nose overpowering
perfume find of scent, it just smells calming and a bit yummy too. :)

The shower hanger provided to use to store the razor came in quite handy for me
because there isn't a whole lot of room in my shower to put products.
There are no shelves so I just pop all of my bottles and products balanced
on the top of the door...>_<

So to have this suction capped to the wall just made my life so much
easier and it stayed there without falling, miracle!

The grip handles were also great because you could hold it with soapy hands
and it wouldn't slip out as the rubber is about 90% all the way around it,
so not at all slippery. The cap which I replaced over the blades after each
use I felt really good about because it protected anything from getting
into the blades between each use.

I can be a bit of a clumsy shaver at times as I am usually in a rush and
just glide my razor ever so un-gracefully over my legs in about 10 seconds flat!
So to have a razor that is designed not to nick or cut me is a big plus!
The moisture block I think helped prevent them because I didn't nick
myself once and I still shaved uber fast!

The 4 blades gave me such a close shave and the moisture block
made my skin feel instantly smooth and silky straight afterwards
whilst still in the shower. After drying myself, I still moisturised as
I do in my normal everyday routine, but I wouldn't feel bad if I
skipped this step as my legs looked and felt soft and moisturised after each shave anyway.

After a few weeks of shaving the moisture block eventually dwindled
it's way down evenly to the blades and by now I think the blades probably
need to be replaced. But I think the time it has lasted has been sufficient and worthwhile.

Overall, a great razor which I really loved using and couldn't find any faults with.
It worked great for me, my skin and needs.

I would recommend and buy this in future when the need arises for
a new razor and will be purchasing new replacement blades soon. :)

Why oh why are women of this day and age still born with so much unwanted annoying hair?!
Like seriously! I don't know about you, but I think evolution is a bit behind the eight ball in
this department because I have so much unwanted hair which just keeps insisting on
growing back, it's enough to keep the hair removal business in full swing until the end of time!

Like seriously, maybe ten million years ago it was great to be covered head to toe in
plenty of body hair to protect our skin from the element, but we live indoors now and
wear things called clothes to protect our bodies, etc. You get the picture, anyway so
thank goodness we're a smart little species to come up with clever little products to make
all of our hair nightmares go away in a strip and a flash!

Gentle Creme BLEACH for the FACE
RRP: $19.95
I naturally have olive skin, but it's pretty white because I don't let my skin naturally tan
in the sun. It isn't sensitive but I do have very dark hair not only growing out of my head,
but just about everywhere else too! >_<

If god forbid you were ever forced to look super up close to my face you'd see plenty of little
imperfections! I have that super embarrassing upper lip hair that because of my naturally dark
hair shade if just left to it's own devices, is super noticeable!

I've gone down the path of waxing my upper lip in the past and wouldn't in a million years
recommend doing it! It's hurts almost as much as a brazilian as the skin in this area is sooo
sensitive and not at all as tough as say your legs which most of us are used to striping wax
on and off of with little or no feeling. This area however feels every single little hair being pulled!
Major ouch!

Needless to say I have been super excited to use this product and it has made me so so happy!
Totally pain free and every hair is barely detectable! Woohoo!

This bleaching pack for your face by Andrea comes with everything you need and is so easy to use!
It works a little like when bleaching your hair - you mix the Gentle Creme Activator and the
Gentle Creme Bleach together into the little mixing tray with the tiny spatchula provided and
it's as simple as that, you're ready to begin applying. All you need to do is leave the formula onto
your desired area for ten minutes and then just rinse off with cool water. You should see results
straight away! I found this also great to use between my eyebrows and onto my mini sideburns!

Brazilian HARD WAX
RRP: $14.95
I have in the past use so many different kinds of waxes before and I have to say this one is
one of my favourites. For starters the large 113g pot of wax won't just last me one waxing job
but several so already I am totally getting my monies worth. When it comes to forking at
upwards of $25+ just to get my legs waxed at a fancy salon, I'd much rather save myself the
shame of walking from my car to the salon with super hairy pins and DIY at home with a
product designed to do just as good a job at a fraction of the price! Besides, I can totally
create my own fancy atmosphere complete with pretty music, candles and relaxing scents! ;)

This particular Andrea Brazilian Hard Wax is just that, hard. So you need to very carefully
pop the tub into the microwave for a very short time, watching it carefully to make sure you
get a nice, creamy consistency which isn't too hot or not melted enough.

The pack comes with two sticks to help you simply and easily apply the wax to your
desired bikini area and also a small bottle which contains pre-epilation oil which you apply
before waxing to help prepare the sensitive area of skin. There are also detailed instructions
included so weather of not you're a cautious first timer or an experienced pro the detailed
step-by-step guide will help you through it all the way from start to finish.

SUNSCREEN IN WINTER

You might think me to be a little strange to be writing a post about

sunscreen when it's the middle of winter, but hear me out as I justify

my crazy ways.

We all know the harmful effects the sun can have on our skin, hair, eyes, etc!

But did you know the sun's most damaging UVA & UVB rays can actually strike you

on cloudy days! So even if it is rain, hail, even snow or shine, we really all

should be lathering up in this stuff year round!

I was fortunate enough as part to Beautyheaven's video trial team to test this

particular lotion out and I have to say, it has remained a firm favourite for our

whole family. (We're onto our second bottle!)

The bright yellow bottle is just so bright and fun looking, it makes me happy

to look at on those cold winter mornings whilst dreaming about the warm sunshine,

and sand between my toes as I walk along the warm waters edge.....

What I love about this is the super high SPF of 50! With a young family, it is so

important to me to look after them and with this at least I know I am giving them

the best skin protection I can. It is also water resistant for up to 4 hours, which Is

perfect in the warmer months when we're swimming in the pool or at the beach.

The lightweight formula makes it easy to apply and rub in without giving you that

less than appealing white ghost look. It absorbs into the skin quickly and isn't greasy,

nor does it even smell like your typical sunscreen lotion! The scent is more like a

light fragranced moisturiser.

All pluses with this one, I really cannot fault this product!

A staple I recommend every household should own!
